[1x1] To High Seas (DrHuggies & SC)

"It's tiring, filthy, everyone smells off and is horribly rude, and between the small exciting bits, it's horribly dull at times." she said, folding her arms and leaning against the wall. "I know this may sound bad, but I was kind of excited by the idea of raiding more ships. With such nice loot, I can imagine why people do this..." she said, tilting her head a little, in thought. "Of course, the Navy is probably on our trail. That poor Edmund fellow, he was going to propose to me soon, I could tell. And now, I wouldn't doubt him being enraged with you..." she smiled slightly.

Kai laughed again, "you want more action do you?" He grinned, "well hang in there hun, two more days and we will be fighting Cap'n Jace's fleet." Kai raised his hands and grinned again. "Then you can return and surprise your family."

Cassandra stood there for a little while longer, an eyebrow raised. "Return to my family. Sure. Suppose it won't be much worse than living on this ship." she said with a frown. "You know, I had hopes that the life of a pirate would be exciting. And, hmm, what's the word... alluring. Though, that jewelry I grabbed is certainly that..." she smiled.

"I'm sorry it wasnt up to your expectations," Kai smiled a little sadly. The thought of Cassandra leaving the ship made him sad. He shook away the thoughts. She had a nice man and a safe life to go back to, and she can be the princess she is. Kai chuckled.

"Of course, if we were to encounter the Navy, say, with that Edgar lad on board, I could certainly make a show of that..." she smiled, tilting her head in thought. "I still need more experience with a sword if I'm to fight anyone, though. That display earlier was shameful, among other things." Cassandra said, straightening her hand and fidgeting with the hilt of her cutlass.

Kai smiled, "then lets hope that happens." Kai took Cassandra's hand and led her outside. He then drew his cutlass and demonstrated some more advanced sword moves. He then motioned for Cassandra to do the same.

She hesitated, watching him warily. When he motioned for her to do the same, she frowned, drawing her sword. "I still think I'm no good at this sword fighting thing... I'm much better at trickery, you know." she smiled slightly as she mimicked one of his motions. "I once got three men to fight over me. One wound up with a broken nose." Cassandra chuckled. "...ah, now I feel a bit bad about it, looking back. But it was good fun."

"Trickery huh," Kai stopped dead in his tracks and smiled. "Wait here."

Kai quickly dashed into his cabin and dug through his cupboard until he found what he was looking for.

"Tadaa!" Kai said as he walked out carrying a bag of stuff. He emptyed it out onto the floor and pointed at a few daggers. "I'll start off with teaching you to throw these," he smiled and handed Cassandra a few. He then led her up to the target and told her how to hold and throw the knife.

"Throwing knives..." she mumbled, staring at the knife when it was handed to her. Shifting anxiously, she stared at the target quietly for a few moments. Then, adjusting her hat, she threw the knife at the target, flinching when it hit, though it had very nearly missed it. "I'm no good at this, of course..." she sighed, straightening up a bit. "Well, with a bit of practice, I might be alright... still, throwing knives, that's a very... different weapon..." she tilted her head a little, staring at the target.

"Keep trying honey," Kai laughed and walked over to the kit bag. He checked the contents to see if it still worked and luckily they did. Kai grinned and grabbed a few green balls. He then walked over to Cassandra and tapped her on the shoulder. When she turned around he threw a ball at the ground and quickly shut his eyes. The gas from the ball filtered into Cassandra's eyes making her temporarily blind. Kai laughed and whispered in her ear, "trickery."

She flinched, covering her eyes quickly, before starting to rub at them. "Trickery, very clever..." she muttered, wrinkling her nose at the taste of the gas. "So, I get throwing knives, and little balls of..." she paused, frowning slightly as she thought. "...um, smoke. I suppose no one would suspect a pirate- and a woman pirate, how rare is that? -to attack them with throwing knives and smoke." Cassandra smiled. "And some proper wording, of course, assuming that the people we're raiding speak the same language."

Kai laughed, "thats not all sweet heart, i have a lot more to show you." He guestured to the bag. "But thats for later, right now, we need you to master the art of seduction." Kai grinned, "being as beautful as you are, it should be very easy, but you will still need to master it," Kai flirted, and grinned again.

"Oh, I've already mastered that." she said, picking up another knife and throwing at the target, frowning slightly when it didn't hit any closer to the center. "If you don't recall, I mentioned a few minutes ago that I made three men fight over me. Granted, that was partly because I have a wealthy father, but I'm supposed to be dead now..." she paused, in thought for a few moments, before smiling. "But I'm always glad to set up a few traps, you know..."

"Traps, traps, traps...." Kai thought and looked up at Cassandra, "ok, ill show you how to make a few traps." Kai grabbed Cassandra's hand and led her into his cabin. He grabbed the bag and took out some supplies. He showed each one to Cassandra. Then he assembled the trap and explained how it worked. Kai then disassembled it and handed to pieces to Cassandra.

"Well, this is silly..." she mumbled when she was handed the pieces, narrowing her eyes slightly. She began to assemble the trap carefully, evidently frustrated when she messed up a few times. She sighed when she was finished building it - it looked like a messy version of the one Kai had built. She sat back a little, in thought. "How about something that, hm... well, how about ambushes?" she asked, sitting up. "If you want to get a boat effectively, an ambush might help. Sounds strange, but given the right location and something for them to look at, and you can probably catch them off guard. Or, perhaps, taking their things in the middle of the night while they sleep..." she smiled, in thought. "Ooh, I have a few ideas, actually..."

Kai smiled and scooted next to Cassandra. "Ooh, lets hear them," he grinned. Kai looked down and disassembled the trap Cassandra made and then lay back against the wall.

"Well, sailors haven't seen a woman in ages, correct?" she smiled slightly, taking her hat off and running a hand through her hair. "Then distracting them will be easy enough. A young woman, stranded at sea and asking for help -- well, whatever their intentions are, they'll be interested. So jumping on them then would be possible. Or, if you don't want a full confrontation, this stranded woman is rescued, brought on board." she paused, before grinning. "Then, during the night, that woman and a few men who had snuck on board slit their throats and take their money and goods. Burn the ship, when everything's taken."

"I like the second idea," Kai grinned and handed Cassandra a knife. "Ship ahead!" A voice yelled from above. Kai grinned and grabbed Cassandras hand. "Are you sure you want to do this?"

She paused briefly, her eyes wide. "Well, we're putting it into action so soon? Um, I don't see why not..." she paused, before sighing, pulling off her hat and boots, as well as her coat, and putting it in the hammock. "Where's my dress? I'll look less suspicious with a dress." she said, pacing around the room in search for the ruined dress, picking it up when she found it. "There it is... give me, um... ten minutes to get ready. Do you have a wooden plank, or barrel, or something that floats that I can hold on to?"

Kai got out a barrel and handed it to Cassandra, but he didnt leave the room. Instead he got a knife and sliced deep cuts in his face. He quickly got changed infront on Cassandra into peasant like clothes and grabbed himself a barrel. He turned towards Cassandra and grinned. "Hurry up, we need to be quick," he said cheekily.

She frowned slightly, staring at him for a few moments. "You know, they might not take you on board... that's your problem, though." she said, pushing the barrel aside and standing, silent for a little while longer. Her eyes darted to the dress, and she frowned. "...well, then, aren't you going to let me change? Go on, get your men ready for... um, just set up a signal for them, so they know when to act."

Kai laughed and exited the cabin. Kai had no intention on getting let onboard the ship. He smiled and whispered a few commands to his fellow men. A few of Kai's men ran inside Kai's cabin and seized Cassandra. They then threw her overboard. Kai laughed and threw the barrel at her. Kai flashed Cassandra a wink and turned around and entered his cabin.

Cassandra shrieked as the men entered- she had just barely gotten her dress on -and struggled as she was thrown overboard. She glared up at the ship, her eyes wide, and she clung onto the barrel. "You- you awful, horrible man! I ought to slit your throat, too, when I'm done with this!" she waited for a few moments, staring up at the ship, before sighing, starting to paddle out, further away from the boat.

Kai came out again as she shouted her insults. He watched the other ship approach her. While they were all busy watching her, Kai dived into the water and swam to the boat. He carried a knife with him in his mouth.

She continued to swim, shivering as she got farther from their ship, and closer to the one which, she hoped, belonged to merchants. Cassandra continued to paddle, hoping the pirate ship was out of view, staring at the approaching vessel for a few moments. Then, she cleared her throat, shifting a bit so she was more on top of the barrel, before starting to shout in an attempt to get their attention.
