Fantasy 14th Black Crusade - Fantasy RP (Open)

Personality: Shylock is monstrous, violent, easy to anger, and will try and kill anyone who angers him. He is not kind to people when they first meet, but if you get to know him he is kind of nice.(Unless you anger him, then he'll probably rip you in half.) He is very loyal to the friends he makes and tries not to kill them when he is angered.


Backstory: Shylock has a history of war and not much else. When he was a child, he was trained to be a soldier by his father to join the orc army in the War of Red Mountain. He was trained until his bones cracked and trained to be his fathers successor. When Shylock was a young, he was thrown into a battle against a pack of goblins with 15 other orcs. They won, but lost 8 of their own while Shylock received his trademark scar on his eye. When Shylock was 100 he became leader of his father's army and leads them to victory to this day.

Known Magic:


Hell Fire- When Shylock becomes enraged or badly hurt the spell is cast causing his strength, speed and overall power increase as well as to be covered in blue flames, making his weapons more crucial to dodge if you don't want to be engulfed in flames yourself and most pain is numb to him. When he uses the spell he is much weaker to water attacks and after the spell he is very hot and needs to take it easy to not be harmed by heat stroke.


Extra\Notes\Character Theme: 9ft tall, is very strong and tough and should never be underestimated. His army is a mercenary army who will do certain things for the right price.

Race: High Lesser Panda - A race that appear to resemble red pandas, except that they stand on their hind legs and can use tools. No one is for sure where they came from, but rumor has it that they were once mundane red pandas who were "blessed" by Isha to be intelligent. They appear to come from the west forests.


Class: Sorcerer


Personality: Scarlet is sweet and cute on the outside, but inside, she's a cunning mage who is wary of everyone. She loves surviving on her own since she was young and uses various methods to get money and other stuff. While she doesn't like being underestimated, she is used to it.


Backstory: Scarlet was born to a family who practices sorcery in the Porthy Forest, just above Minas Cleorfin. She started to train magic when she was merely 3 and was put through many tests, a lot of which she says were difficult. 12 years later she was allowed to go out and become an explorer.

Backstory:In a world filled with magic, Richard has come to realize the advantages provided to those by their heritage, gifts, or various tokens and trinkets. Magic is provided to some not by their own raw talent, but simply because they were born with it.


Simply; Richard does not hate magic. He merely wishes to prove to himself, and to others, that it is unnecessary. Because of this, he has taken the time to teach himself how to become a better swordsman; training daily to take on any opponent he comes to face. With a sword in one hand, and a shield in the other, he has every intention of being able to topple any tyrant, or any warrior of villainy; regardless of their power.

Name: Saro Bahi

Class: Soldier, Scout.


Personality: Hard working, persistent, and ethical, Saro's background as a soldier and protector has seriously impacted who he is. He feels a sense of responsibility to others, and blames himself when something happens to them. To achieve his goals, Saro always takes the moral route, even if it is out of his way.


Backstory: Saro was born to a low class family in a small human settlement in a southern desert. Therefore, his early life was anything but easy. He had to work for everything. The settlement was such a size that the occupations of the male residents essentially consisted of farmer and warrior (due to the frequent bandit and raider attacks), with the occasional blacksmith and healer. It was assumed that Saro would follow his father and grandfather as a farmer, but that all changed after a particularly bad attack one night.


The raiders had attacked with more men then usual that night, and overwhelmed the pitiful handful of guards. A group of the raiders entered Saro's home that night and knocked out his father, leaving Saro to pick up the family's one weapon, a spear, and defend his home. Like one of the cornered desert snakes Saro had encountered in the fields, he attacked. It was in that moment that Saro displayed his hidden talent. Despite his age and stature, Saro defeated the raiders with sharp and quick blows. His ability was recognized and his agrarian fate averted.


He trained and became a star member of the settlements guard team. His accomplishments were great, and included and assault on a nearby bandit base, as well as plenty of successful defenses.

Backstory: Born from the intense concentration of Eden's mana in a singular place, the Esper was a sentient embodiment of magic. It has vast magical power and potential, but no physical body. The Esper watched over the flow of Eden's magic, until the first Black Crusade, when it was forced to seal itself from the world's mana and protect it from corruption. It wandered the world watch the strife of mortals and sought a way to help them. It struggled to affect the material world, until it delved into the body of a dying mage and felt itself meld with the mage's personal mana, reviving him and embuing him with new power. Power enough to turn a failed appentice into a grand Archmage. For thousands of years, the Esper has bound itself to worthy heros and helped them in their quests to protect the world. During the 12th Black Crusade, the Esper bound itself to an ancient tree to sanctify a city against the influence of evil. It earned the name of Arrelidardilian, the Sanctuary Tree. The last Black Crusade overcame Sanctuary's power and trapped it within the dying tree. Now, there is new evil in the world a new Black Crusade and Sanctuary has awoken within the tree. It is weaker now, but can stil fight to protect this world. It calls out from within the tree for freedom, once again. It has slept for far too long.

Uh where should I put Sanctuary. I don't know a good on the map for a gnarled, twisted and dead tree surrounded by circles of indentions that were once the foundations of a great stone city.

How about Ravenloft? I guess they'll get there in like... Dunno... 20 more minutes of walking? And there's even castle ruins nearby. The castle was destroyed to ruin during one of the black crusades. How about that?

Personality:


Generally appears as a distant individual with an ancient feel brought by his manners, favoring a nonchalant, almost apathetic, bearing.


In fact, the Dragon is a surprisingly carefree individual, to the point that he cares more about sightseeing than war. And although he does care about recovering his body, he still finds difficult to voluntarily abandon his recently acquired freedom.


Backstory:


Originally one of the Dark God's most trusted generals, supposed to carry the blood of a God in his veins, the being that came to be known as Sigmund in the future somehow abandoned from K'bundah's army for the sake of protecting the Elf Empire that was established during that Era.


It's unknown exactly why Sigmund changed his allegiance to the elfs and how he survived after betraying the Dark God but the result of the war was clear: The dragon got cursed by the one that he once pledged loyalty, losing his own Dragon form for the eternity and being reduced to a human vessel, unable to use his powers fully without killing himself in the process.


Since then, more than a thousand years got past and the Dragon marked his way all over the history of the humans, using his own limited powers to fight against the Dark God where he could, being known by a multitude of names while fighting alongside legendary figures that came to be regarded as heroes with the passage of time. His current position being that of a court magician from the Mankind Empire.

Kinslayer:


A staff made from the bones of a Dragon and covered by scales of hatchlings. This staff, originally used by one of the most vicious death magicians since the birth of the Empire of mankind, was the only way Sigmund found to amplify his own draconic essence, that is generally trapped inside the humanoid vessel that constrain him.


This staff is regarded as a taboo item for the Dragon race, making any of it's wielders be regarded as a enemy of the dragons as a whole.


Mjöðvitnir:


Sigmund's armour of choice, byproduct of centuries searching a cure for his curse. The armor has the special quality of temporarily returning his power to the one he had when as a dragon, with the price of damaging his body to the point of causing a coma if used for more than a few minutes.

Court Mage Badge:


He always has the badge that denotes his position with him, as it can easily make him enter into any of the areas controlled by the Human Empire.


Known Magic:


Arcane Magic:


Since his own magic was reduced by the curse, Sigmund started researching about the arcane as a way of supplementing his own physical weakness, achieving the level of a Grand Mage.


Fire Magic:


As a Dragon that once breathed fire as naturally as he would sneer, Sigmund main strength relies on his flames, that he can control to a point that would cause envy to any elemental mage.


Although his control is at an abnormal level, as a part of the curse he is unable to fully use his fire, having to resort to items that can boost his fire producing capacity.


Demonic Magic:


Previously used as a way of augmentating the destructive nature of his flames. Impossible to use in his actual human form.


Summoning Magic:


He has some knowledge in the field of summoning, as he can summon his own items.


Extra\Notes\Character Theme:


- As an effect of the curse, his body is fragile to the point that even a human kid could easily beat him if relying purely on strength.


- He is somehow obsessed with sweets, to the point that he can easily agree to make oaths for the sake of eating new flavours.


- There is a rumour at the capital that says that the court mage can't even lift his own books without the use of magic, that came from his pratic of making his books float in front of him when reading.
