Realistic or Modern Zombie Apocalypse

Miyuki nods her head as Tori went inside to take care of the kids and to help Tiffany when Patch asked about someone fixing his hand. Miyuki sighs, that dog did a good job on it and she would feel bad leaving him with a hurt hand. "I will do it. I need the practice." She says as she looks over at Austin and Tammy, hoping they wouldn't mind. She knows that they had a limited supply, but, after the guy just been attacked by a dog and pinned down by Tammy, well he deserved to at least have his hand fixed and not die of an infection. Besides, after 3-4 months of reading on medical practices and first aid, she felt that she could use hands on practice.

@Crono @tammynorthland @Dibbydoo

"Double check the perimeter, just in case." Austin told Tammy and having had enough of both this man and the cold so he gave Patch a shove against his shoulder, "Let's get moving. You can have your hand looked at once your tucked away." Once Patch started moving Austin stayed right behind him, if he tried to make a run for it he'd be there to shut him down.

They ended up in the small storage basement under the garage, it was mostly empty and Austin had grabbed a chair for Patch to sit in. Once he'd sat Austin untied the ropes so he could retie them, but this time Patch would be inter-looped with the chair by both hands and feet and be unable to actually stand without dragging it along. If Miyuki wanted to bandage his hand then she could do it while he was tied, Austin took up a spot leaning against the wall with his arms crossed and eyeing the other man with a pistol in one hand.

The whole experience was like a flashback, and as time went on he grew more uncomfortable, paranoid, and angry with the current situation. "I don't believe your story for a minute, and when your friends show up I'm going to kill them. And then I'm going to put a bullet in your head, got that motor mouth?" There was a tickle in his throat, likely from getting upset and he was forced to cough into his elbow before clearing his throat.

@KathleneWilliams2121 @tammynorthland @Dibbydoo

Patch flinched from the shove, slowly standing up as he towered. He stood straight, and huffed, slowly Begining to walk. He dragged his feet in the snow, before taking sproper steps, not sure where he was actually going. Patch didn't make any sudden moves, or spoke as he walked, his hand aching him too much. He kicked some snow, a little playful,y, but did nothing else. He reached the door and ducked lightly , just so he wouldn't hit the top. ( because tbh he would hit my door so just safty measures :3)

Patch was taken to the storage room and watched Austin carefully, his blue eyes burning. He slowly sat down, the chair bein uncomfortable. " Yay.." He sighed, looking around." Nice place..." He hummed, shifting in the chair, but he stopped as Austin tied him securely. " So. What's your name." He said, looking to Austin ."I'm assuming you might already know mine?" He remarked. The boy didn't smell horrible, he smelt quite good actually, and his teeth weren't yellow, they were more on the white side.

Patch slowly looked up and listened to the man rant off, nodding every once and a while. " You dot have to trust me. You won't find anyone. " He laughed at the new nick name, thinking. " Motor mouth, I like that. Do you? I think it suits me." He said, grinning childishly.

@Crono

Tammy agreed to all the terms as she begun to search the perimeter. She checked every blind spot the manor had to offer and even searched the garage which she left open when she came back from the trip just incase as austin led the man into it. How could he possibly have came across axehead in the winter time? More importantly how has this guy survived this long?

These questions were still unanswered and at this point she dragged the deer as best she could until noticing it wouldn't be possible alone. Although she was strong she was not the incredible hulk.

Tammy continued to craft a plan to move the game and tracked the area for any enemies. She spotted his original track after a half hour searching. She followed them outside of camp to seek more or any signs.

Nothing

This guy must have his men further out working their way in then. Or if he was honest they all could wait all day and see nothing. Tammy wasn't sure what to do or who to believe. But all she knew was he cannot be trusted. Tammy let austin deal with the stranger while she retried rope and her rzr driving it to the game and proceeding to drag it to the garage where they could properly butcher it. She'd definitely need help since she had no idea how.

Tiffany set the weapon down as soon as she saw Tori. Both kids were still crying and she was trying her best to calm them down. But these two were days apart and it was hard to calm both babies at the same time. "Yeah, there was some loud noises and it scared them." She replied. "Before you go grab firewood, can you help me with the kids?" She asked with a concerned look on her face. "Okay Josh, Auntie Tori is here, so you get to play with her for a little bit." She said, smiling. Hopefully the little boy can wait for Tori to come over and play with him. It would also seem that Giselle was also hungry, so the young mother covered herself up in order to breastfeed her little girl.

Miyuki follows Austin to the garage of the house. Luckily for her, that was where they kept the extra med supplies. She grabbed some peroxide, needle, thread, and bandages. She sighs and shakes her head as Austin spoke. "Don't get yourself worked up." She says as she looks over at Austin. She felt bad for him, how he was outside working and now this when he wasn't feeling well. At this rate, that cold will last a week instead of a couple of days. Miyuki when to the guy's hands that were tied up and takes off the bandages, Which wasn't the easiest thing in the world due to them being tied up but she got them off. "Ooooh ya, he got you pretty good." She says as she looks down at Patch's hand. She takes the peroxide and starts to clean it out. "Um, I'm going to stitch your hand up and it might hurt." She says as she sighs. She gets the needle and thread ready as she starts to stitch up the hand. Making sure that her stitches were even and tight so they would heal his hand, she finishes and ties a knot and, using one of her arrowheads that she made, cuts the thread. She then wraps the bandages around his hand. "There, just don't use your hand for a while." She says as she puts the items away. She looks over at Austin, "Do you want to keep guard of him or do you want me to so you can go inside and rest?"

@Crono @Dibbydoo

He saw the girl come over , having medical supplies in her hand. This will be fun. He sighed lightly, and relaxed his body, nodding to the girl. " Yep." He looked down. He heard her footsteps go behind him, and felt as the bandages were unraveled. " a Touch guard dog." Patch remarked, grinning lightly. He had calmed down a little now, his attitude wasn't as much. He winces as he felt the peroxide burn, and crunched as she needle entered his skin, biting his lips hard to conceal any sort of sounds, other than groans. He was almost holding his breath. He was released as the stitching as finished,mand relaxed when the bandages were wrapped. He was a little tired, having been walking for so long.

@Crono @KathleneWilliams2121

Austin had practically burned a hole in their prisoner's head with how he'd glared at him the entire time Miyuki had done her thing, honestly he wasn't sure if the guy would try anything but he wasn't going to take that chance. He'd been so caught up in it that he hadn't noticed the girl had finished until she walked straight up to him and spoke, his face softened a bit now looking at her.

He considered her question for only a second before shaking his head and giving her a quick smile, "No, I got this. Go help out, between the kids, firewood, checking the perimeter, and that deer I'm sure you'll be more useful." And that he wasn't about to let this stranger out of his sight, until he was either dead or gone. He wasn't about to let it happen, not again... "Just do me a favor and let me know if the others get back from their run, alright?"

With that he sat to rest on the steps leading up to the garage, not a moment later had motor mouth started talking. It just seemed no matter what he said it only further annoyed the older man, he let out a congested snort. "It's Austin..." He had to admit, he almost wished he'd taken Miyuki up on her offer. His body was aching, sinuses blocked, and with no end in sight. "So how did someone like you make it this long?"

@KathleneWilliams2121 @Dibbydoo

Miyuki nods as she looks over at Austin, "Alright, I'm going to go help Tiff with the kids. If you need me, I'll be inside.....and don't push yourself too hard." She says as she walks inside. She would rather go outside and patrol but Tammy was already out there and well she didn't want to get into another fight with her. Miyuki rubs her stomach, it didn't hurt but it did feel sore. Opening the door and kicking off her boots, she goes into the house and finds where Tiffany was feeding Giselle. She smiles at her and then sees Josh, whining a little bit, no doubt feeling lonely. Miyuki smiles softly at the child and pick him up, rocking him back and forth, "There, there....it's ok Josh." She says as she turns to Tiffany, "Did you get any sleep?" She asks wondering if the young mother take a nap.

@Crono @Amaterasu Kawashima

Patch noticed how sick the older man was, and his grin softened, almost concern in his eyes. He hated seeing people sick, it was just how he felt about it. " Ah. Austin. Hey, in ,y bag there are some pills and cough medicine. It sounds like you need it." He said, offering the man what he had. Sure he may be an asshole, sarcastic and way too flirty he was generous. He listened to the mans question, and thought. " How I got it so far. Well, Charisma goes a long way." He said. " But k seem to have forgotten it back there. Heh. Hiding helps too. I guess I adapt quick. And I HAVNT changed a bit, I'm still the same of, patch I was eight months ago. Heh. I guess that's something good. I'm layed back.. And I don't lie." He added.

Tori had already turned on her heel the second Tiff had seen she and the kids where fine when she heard the woman ask for help. Slowly turning back around Tori eyed the baby as if it was some sort of flesh eating Alien, which to her it might as well have been. She wasn't so great with kids...like she didn't hate them or anything she was just next to useless when it came to them "So you want me to like hold it- i mean him and stuff?" she asked mystified and she would have rather done anything but. However Tiff looked exhausted and Tori sighed she had been avoiding the babies like the plague and supposed it was her turn to do her part but just as she was about to head over to the little gremlin Miyuki came in and picked him up. YES SAVED BY BOW GIRL!! Tori celebrated in her head bit didn't say anything outwardly..she just smirked. "Ahem well looks like you got all the help you need huh? " she asked "I am going to start peeling some of those potatoes or something so we can have it with the deer meat..i will bring you guys some food in when it's all done ok?" she stated but didn't really wait for an answer and practically dove out of the room before she got roped into baby duty.

Finally making it back to the kitchen she let out a long breath of relief and was about to reach for the sack they had filled with potatoes that had been found when she heard a light snoring. The blonde raised an eyebrow quizzically before walking around the table and finding Nikole out cold on the floor and immediately started to laugh. "Kid...hey kid!" Tori nudged her in the side with the tip of her foot. "Wakey wakey! zombies and sadness you just volunteered yourself to help me prepare dinner" she was grinning down at the sleeping girl waiting for her to wake up.

@Amaterasu Kawashima @KathleneWilliams2121 @Dibbydoo

Nicole looked aorable as she slept on the floor. She was drooling, and had her arms flailed outwards. Her peircing was uneven, and her hair was half on her face, her breathing slow and calm. The bags under her eyes were soft now, only being mild dark. She flinched, closing her mouth and whiping her cheek,mope ing her eyes slowly to look up at the girl. She hid her face with her sleeves, groaning. She got herself up, stumbling. " I'm just gonna throw my self INA field of Zeds, anyway, let's get this going." She laughed, walking and looking at the sack of potatoes. " Isn't potato a funny name?" @Lola Shimmer

Tammy left the deer in the garage for the mean time. Since it was so cold she figured the meat could sit there for a half hour considering the air was around 30 degrees. She either had to wait for Jenn, Or have someone else help her with the skinning and preserving the deer. She learned how to dry meat to make into a jerky, per say. But skinning was something she was clueless on how to do. Tammy found two books along her travels that definitely posed great use. One was, The Art of Jarring and Pickling, while the other she had yet to fully learn perfectly was 'Homemade Dried Meats and Fruits.' She certainly keep them in her gear bag as she knew they would help her at one point in time or another. And considering meat and preserving food was vital she mine as well use all the free time she had to learn the processes.

Tammy made her way back to the kitchen, Where she was able to locate Tori and Nikole. Nikole, of course, just woke up from her little half hour nap, and Tori was peeling the potatoes Tammy managed to harvest about a week ago. Tammy was no gardener but what she did know was potatoes can survive weather if they were planted early enough before winter. Otherwise the plant itself freezes and becomes useless killing the crop.

Potatoes were a lifeline in the New World, Axehead Gulch grabbed as many as they could or planted them during the warmer months, they were easy to grow, healthy, and very filing. Heck you could prepare them in hundreds of different ways. Tammy remembered in high school how the Renaissance used them to end hunger. The people of that era HATED potatoes because they were eating them everyday. Tammy could even see herself begin to complain on that aspect. Tammy nudged Tori. "That deer, I cant prepare the meat or butcher it. Who knows how besides Jenn, Jorik and maybe even Holliday?" She asked. "Or just wait for them to get home." Tammy was calm about the question but she was starving and couldn't get her mind off of the food. She was still in her outdoor winter clothing not even bothering to remove her snow covered boots when entering the house.

@Dibbydoo @Lola Shimmer

To Austin, Patch was sizing him up and seeing that he was in a slightly weakened state when offering the medicine. The man chuckled, "No thanks, I wouldn't even trust a knife you gave me to not shatter and stab me in the heart. Non-the less medicine laced in poison. I'd hazard a guess that in this weather there are plenty of people with a cough, you just happen to have some with you. Offer it to the poor souls and once they are dead and gone take their things?" The mans brow raised, "Am I hitting the nail on the head yet?"

Austin was fishing for answers but that was only part of it, a part of him genuinely believed the medicine would do something to him. So there was no way in hell he was taking any of it.

His eyes lowered to the floor out of thought and from just not wanting to look at Patch. The same guy he was eight months ago...if that's true then he's one of the lucky ones.

@Dibbydoo

Patch looked at him, frowning a little. " No, actually.. It was traded with those people I met.. The pills are unopened. Obviously." He sighed, looking away. Patch was somewhat hurt. It showed in his face. He looked and raised an eyebrow once he mentioned looting body's. " Why the fuck would I do that? Im not insane, I have a religion." He said, tilting his head back as he sighed out. " If you mean hitting your thumb as in a nail then you are." He didn't even look at him.

He didn't care anymore. They were gonna shoot him anyway,right? They seemed so.. Stubbourn, they just coudknt BELIVE him. They could keep him for days on end here and still, no one would come, because he came with no one.

Patch closed his eyes, and tried to sleep, it working. His body replaxed and he felt himself in a wafting dream state. He was getting his rest, while aware of things. So he could still speak to him.

@Crono

Tori looked over at Nikole a little oddly whens he stated potato was a strange name and she raised an eyebrow as she inspected one of the vegetables. "Umm i suppose i never really thought about it but then again....i'm Irish so i am probably biased..." she joked and flashed a smile toward the younger girl. She gave a nod when she stated lets get to it and began to pour some into the deep sink of the manor. Tori really loved this kitchen and it reminded her of her own...though she hadn't got much chance to use it before she had to leave for the PR campaign in the states. When she was satisfied with the amount she handed Nikole a knife to start peeling before she simply started on her own.

Tori hummed happily to herself as she worked kinda glad to get herself lost in a familiar and simple task, there was no thought to it. It was simple and easy work and it was a nice change compared to all the back braking stuff they usually had to do. Her humming was interrupted when she heard Tammy come in, a frown touching her features at the woman's question "Shit. No i don't think so" she sighed she was hungry and she was sure the others were too she had been keen to get something started so when the supply group came home they would have something hot to eat "Matbe Myuiki?" she added but she wasn't sure..she looked at the potatoes trying to think of something alternative to make so they wouldn't have to wait for the deer. "Hey do we have any of thos canned vegetables left? i could use those and i am pretty sure i have one stock cube left...i can make a stew so we have something hot pretty soon tonight and we can leave the deer to hang overnight when it gets skinned...it will help the meat." she shrugged at that offering up the suggestion. A stew might not have been as tasty as the deer would have been but it would be hot. substantial and easy to make. Besides the good thing with a stew was if she made extra it could last until tomorrow and do some lunches. You could always stretch a stew.

@Dibbydoo @tammynorthland

Tammy shifted eyes to the potatoes she was cutting on the cutting board in the kitchen. Even though this home used to belong to someone who was most likely very rich or wealthy. The home felt like it was tammys and the others. She felt so at home living in the area she never had weather like this back in california. Let alone where she was from. Tammy enjoyed the cold weather for once. Not only did the home have a large garage. Enough to fit 4 cars to be excact. A storage room below. A spare room extending the garage, a 2 story house with a huge kitchen and living room. The living room had a couch big enough for everyone to sit at at once and still have room. A kitchen with a gas stove, which is useful considering the propane tank on the property still had propane in it. According to the gauge it was supposedly 3 quarters full. But if that gauge was broken who knows how long it would last. As far as water. The home had water supply but needed electricity to power it. If they could utilize that they would be able to have warm water. The basement generator could only be ran for power tools and to run the water but the sound was loud not super loud but if they ran it to much it could set attention to the corpsers in the area. In spring time they would have to adress the security but since the winter immobilized alot of them they should be ok for the meantime.

Tammy thought about who could be able to skin the deer with her and sadly the finger kept pointing to holliday or jorik or jenn

The question tori asked regarding the veggies was a good question though. Tammy did not get much canned veggies. Hive and vulcan mostly gave her boxed food and dried noodles. Do the storage in the garage spare room might not be an assett as of now.

"Not in the storage closet I know that." Tammy noted to tori.

@Lola Shimmer @Dibbydoo

"You just said outside that you looted dead bodies, don't start backpedaling now." Austin rolled his eyes, and once the room had gone quiet his body became less tense. His warm forehead felt so damn comfortable as he rested it against the cool railing and stared at the floor below, this was disrupted by his sneezing into his coat arm followed by a light groan as he recoiled from it.

"So what did you do before all this? I don't see you doing many jobs with your....personality, I'm guessing college student by day and partyboy by night?"

@Dibbydoo

Nicole awkwardly shrugged as she watched the potatoes get poured out, washing the tips of her fingers as she took a knife, and began to work. Suprisingly, she was quick with peeling potatoes, using only one movement as she she spun the potato around the knife,it making one long string of potato string. She moved onto the next, singing quietly. It was audible to Tori EFER so slightly. Suprisingly, her voice sounded well trained, it sounded angeletic. She continued to move potato to potato, not saying word as she tilted her head, stopping her singing. " I used to do this all the time with my mum," she said, slicing at e potato skin. " We made potato salad all the time." She smiled with a chuckle.

@Lola Shimmer

Patch looked at him with a raised eyebrow. " I mean corpses that didn't turn. Or had died from bandit reason. But if it were from a bandit then it would be already looted. Anyway... You in a relationships? And bless ya." He grinned with a chuckle. He listened to what the boy had to ark and blinked slowly, remembering when everything was partially normal. " I used to work at a Mexican resturaiunt. " he grinned, remembering. " I was pretty layed back and I only did go to parties for the food." He shrugged.

Tiffany smiled when she saw Miyuki comforting Josh, even more so when the child started calm down. "Yeah, I got some sleep. So did the little ones." She responded when the younger woman asked if she took a nap. "Why don't you rest, sweetheart? You work so hard. You need time to catch your breath." At times, Tiffany would baby Miyuki, as much as she tried not to. After she finished feeding Giselle, she cradled the baby and decided to try and help her fall asleep again so that she could care for Miyuki.

Miyuki smiles over at the young mother. She knew she meant well, but Miyuki felt that if she rested while the others worked, well it wouldn't be fair on them. "I'm fine, Tiff, really. After that man, Patch, showed up everyone is on their toes. I think in a little bit I will keep watch or scout or something, make sure no one is going to sneak up on us. Josh then starts to play with Miyuki's hair, becoming clear that he wasn't going back to sleep for a while. Miyuki sighs as she decided to sit down. Carefully and slowly, she sits down in a chair, trying no to aggravate the now bruise on her stomach. "I am so going to get you back, tammy." She smiles and sits Josh on her lap and then looks up at the mother, "I hope it's warm enough in here, with the weather and all. I hope that these little ones aren't cold." She says as Josh moves his hand and hits her stomach, "Ow, Josh." She says as she looks at the baby, who laughed not knowing what he did.

Tori shot a side ward glance at Nikole and she smiled slightly at the girls quiet humming. At least she seemed to be in a better mood, she was glad,..and well she felt almost a bit proud of herself if she had, had any hand in it. She dunked the potatoes in water before she would start to peel them herself and hand them off to Tammy who chopped. A small laugh escaped her lips at what the kid said and she nodded her head "This is what i did with my mum all the time to, it was like quality time when she got in from work..it was our quiet time" she admitted and her eyes widened somewhat in surprise that she had let that slip. Something in the woman's heart twinged and she quickly pushed all those feeling and memories to the side and concentrated on the task at hand. hmm she would think about home later when she was on her own...she had been putting it off to long and it was time she dealt with it before it burst out of her.

She looked over at Tammy next when she answered her question and sighed. "I might have some..." she admitted Tori had been squirreling away supplies here and there when she could, It wasn't that she wanted the group to go without but they hadn't really been limiting themselves and she was worried so she had started to make an emergency stash should they ever get stuck in the manor for whatever reason. she had some bottles of water, allot of tinned stuff and even basic medical supplies only problem, they were stashed in the garage where there new 'guest' was housed. She set her knife down and wiped her hands on her shirt. "Ok well i am going to go see if i have any ahh you two can finish the potaoes and maybe start a fire? and hopefully i should be able to get some stew or something on the go" she smiled

@tammynorthland @Dibbydoo

Austin rolled his eyes, "Dead is dead, if they don't need it anymore then it's better for someone living to have it." He wasn't one for religion, not before the world went to hell and certainly not after. And decidedly ignored the relationship question, pointless to him. "Minimum wage right out of school then." The one's who've survived this long always seem to surprise me.

@Dibbydoo

" Whatever you say.. Hm.. You seem to be very TENCE." He grinned INA joking manner, his smile being slick and almost looking like it was painted on from how smooth it was. He leaned his head back fully as it hung there limp. He groaned boredly and loudly, looking right back up as her spoke." Hey, it was worth it. I got free food and the food was great."
