Last month, on Christmas Eve, the world ended.
This apocalypse started differently from any zombie book you've read, or zombie movie you've seen. It isn't some disease and it isn't a "if you die you'll turn" kind of deal, and becoming a zombie isn't infectious. 80% of the population just died one day, and no one knows why. Your character isn't even aware it's a zombie apocalypse right now.
With so many dead, and so few people left around, they started to move towards each other, into groups and small communities to help each other survive when supplies ran low. It's a month since 80% of everyone died, and no one is not affected by it. Those who didn't know how to fend for themselves or get resources died quickly, but winter is finally over, and things are starting to look up a bit.
Your character(s) are in a small community known as "Tilamook" (named after the hospital that most of them had taken shelter in during winter together) when the first wave of zombies attack. Will you even make it past that? Or will you die at the beginning of the story?
