As someone spoke, Nellie nearly jumped out of her skin. Up on her feet she turned and looked at the girl and knew that this was the one she had ran into earlier. "H-hello...." She chirped out, shuffling a little before sitting back down. With an odd feeling that either this was what was humans called the 'roomate' or she was about to get beat up for earlier, she didn't really know what to do.

"Well, I was thinking about cats and witches when she showed up...and her species is quite rare and exotic, I don't think she was just somebody's stray..." in her neighborhood, people were ordinary and did ordinary thing, most of them had dogs, there weren't a lot of cats and if there was one, it was a regular normal cat. Bast flicked her tail guiltily at her comment. Cam shook the boy's hand, "I'm Cam, or Cammie if you prefer, and this is Bast!" she introduced herself with a cheeky grin.

Minka had made the girl jump in her entrance

“S-sorry” she stuttered out realizing she had snuck up on her.

Elenor, if the name on the door meant anything, seemed a little fidgety and finally sat herself back down after saying hello. With a glance around the room, she saw that there were two other doors as well, one with each of their names. Instead of confirming she was indeed the other girl with her new roommate; she headed towards the door with her name and opened it.

It had rather bare sky blue walls, a window that looked easy enough to open with darker blue curtains, and she also had a fuzzy white carpet. The bed took up most of the room, but looked really inviting under the big pillows and colorful blankets. There was another wooden door to her left and weirdly enough it had holes in it, after trying to pull it open with no use, she looked through the holes to only find dark space.

With a frown, she shrugged out of her bag and let it hit the ground, spreading her wings for the first time that day. As she tossed her bag up on her bed, which reached her waistline, she decided to go talk to her roommate. With little thought, she re-entered the foyer in between the two rooms and looked at the girl, still not speaking up.

Watching the girl as she crossed into the room that was, supposedly hers. So, roommate it was. Nodding her head, she returned to gazing out the window, breathing lightly on the glass and writing her name in her language, which, regardless of the location, in her people, was Atlantian.

Feeling eyes on her, she turned her head, wiping her message clean and smiled faintly. "Hello." She repeated the same greeting as before, not really sure how else you were suppose to do it.

“Hello” Minka repeated, responding at the same time

Looking idly around the room, she spotted a purple fabric couch, a mini carpet with the bottom part of a table sitting on top and a leather armchair. There was also what looked to be a pillow on the floor, and when Minka kicked by it, it shuffled slightly. Slightly distracted she looked at the bag type of pillow, and kicked it again, watching it shuffle in opposition.

With a quirked brow, she looked at the girl by the window, not voicing her question but looking her confused all the same at the weird thing by her feet.

Watching the girl move, she grew just as confused as the other when the purple thing moved. Standing up, she raised an eyebrow before shrugging. Looking at it as the girl kicked it again, she crouched down a little, looking at it from her spot. Producing a noise that was a mix between a coo and a pur, she frowned, looking at the thing before straightening and shrugging once more, giving the tacit reply of i don't know in return.

At her response, Minka laughed lightly and let the pillow be; she instead turned her attention the girl she was going to be sharing a room with.

“…A-Aren’t you human?” she questions, not sure how to phrase

“I mean…you look like it” she finished, her wings coiling in slightly, as if to protect her.

You know that Euphoric state right after you wake up from a pleasant nap in a new place? Well, Lawrence was overwhelmed with that feeling. Lawrence sat grinning stupidly inside a school he was sure would make him the best there ever was. Lawrence was a dreamer, in fact he had dreamed his way the whole train ride up and had day dreamed during the teacher's speech.

If you had seen Lawrence you would've believed him to be a lovable lazy guy, but he was fervent in his studies because above all he dreamed of being the one to quell tension between humans and non humans. For some strange reason he felt compelled to be the one to stand between others and violence motivated by old prejudices. As long as Lawrence could remember he felt the burdens of others. Every time he gripped his sword dubbed blandly " Sword of Truth" he was swept up in the hopes and dreams of others, and became an open book to the world around him.

Looking at the girl,Nellie shook her head. "Look and being are two different things. I could look male, doesn't mean I would be one." She said rather bluntly, answering the question in a sort of off handed way, "I don't think you are either, but then again, maybe what I percive to be human is wrong..." Shrugging, she resumed looking out the window.

At the offhand answer, Minka felt like she had offended the girl by asking like she did and clenched her fists slightly. Frowning as she continued her response, she looked at the ground beneath her until she finished.

“Sorry” she noted towards the girl for a second time,

“I would’ve been human” she explained, shrugging off the supposed hostile atmosphere.

Minka was a little uncomfortable, and took a seat on the couch only to play with her hands,

“I’m Minka, by the way…” she trailed off.

30 MINUTES TILL THE OFFICIAL ORIENTATION IN THE MAIN HALL

James, Ili and Talhar were sitting in James's room, sharing their experiences with magic and the such.

".. so in shor, an Incubus is a male Succubus they're really cool, this one was a friend of my dad's. he taught me to juggle!"

soon there was an announcement, the walls themselves semed to speak

"30 minutes until all-school assembly, all students please begin making your way there now, juniors, please meet in the main courtyard first, today's lunch will be Rice and chicken with mushroom sauce, vegetarian option is a selection of native fruits and vegetables and Dirkita-root jam, that is all" (god i love making stuff up)

James stood up, still energetic

"okay, its starting!"

he was showing the others his wand earlier, he tucked it back into the little wand-holster hooked to his belt and was ready to go, a big smile still on his face

" Ooohh I se--- " Just when Talhar was about to answer, and ask yet another question since he couldn't get enough about all this brandnew information, a voice echoed throughout the entire room.

" Wow, well...guess that's our queu for getting ready to move. " He said as he quickly inspected his clothing to make sure he was properly dressed for the assembly. Wearing a blue hooded robe that reached all the way down to his heels, he had no idea whether or not this was a normal attire for this new environment he was in but it was too late to start worrying now. If it wasn't the standard outfit, he'd just take it off and walk around in his black pants, white shirt, black vest and black dress shoes. Which he was wearing underneath the robe. His custom wand was kept in a thin bracer on his leftwrist with a holder, hidden by the long blue sleeves.

Not yet completely at ease in his new surroundings, he kept his arms locked in eachother with the sleeves covering them up and with his righthand near the wand on his leftwrist nearly at all times. Just in case.

"I'm still stuck..." Ili said, shifting to a dark blue colour as his voice played tones again.

"Guys?" the slime asked, a little nervous of being left behind.

james turned around, seeing Ili still stuck

"hang on, i hear slimes get sticky when they lose water, since the water keeps you slippery!"

he ran over to the bathroom, grabbing a smaller cauldren on the way and folling it with water.

he soon came rushing back with a near-tipping culdren full of water, he tipped it on to Ili, of course Ili absorbed each drop as it fell so nothing was spilled

"okay, can you slip out now?"

"I'm in a cauldron," Ili giggled; he still had plenty of moisture, but he was still a liquid, pouring upward would be a little difficult.

"Just pour me out?" he offered, giggling again.

As the girl apologized, Nellie shook her head, and before she could say anything, the girl had spoken her name and sat down. Opening her mouth, she was cut off again by the announcement. Looking up at the ceiling, she blinked a few times. "They have box people here too?"

Shaking her head again, she looked at the girl, "No need to apologize....and...would have been?"

Byakko's ears perked up, and he looked around.

Virtus sighed. "I think the orientation is starting soon. Are you going?" He asked Cammie, wondering if it was also her first year here, like himself.

Cam nodded and grinned, "Yup! We should get going, I have no idea where the auditorium is, so it may take awhile to find it..." she shrugged, trial and error she supposed. Cam turned, pating her leg for Bast to follow, and looked over her shoulder, "'You coming?"

The walls began talking to the two of them, and Minka looked around for the source of their voice until the girl behind her explained it. She assumed that box people meant that the room around them was another being entirely although she hadn’t got a chance to ask. Instead, the girl wished for her to elaborate on her comment

“I’m an angel…” she started,

“I died when I was still in my mum” she finished, rather mournfully.

James squatted down, trying to lift the cauldren but he was too weak

soon he straightened back up, with the cauldren on the ground...

so he kicked the cauldren, tipping it over

"we can put a hole in it later so you can get by yourself next time"

adter Ili was out

"okay, lets go!"

James headed to the door with the other 2

Nellie looked at the girl and blinked a few times. "I, auhm, I'm sorry...." She bowed her head for a moment, before blinking a few times, "Wait....you were inside your mum?"

“Isn’t that how you came out?” Minka questioned the girl,

Then she realized that the girl might have not been told where babies came from. She had learned at a young age about the gift, but she had heard the stories from the children she met about storks and such. Although the girl had admitted t not being human, so she idly wondered if storks actually delivered her; in interest to the conversation, she had turned her body around on the couch and was now kneeling on it.

Blinking a few times, she shook her head. "I was born in a water stone." Nellie said, giggling a little thinking everyone had been born like that. "And then mum found me, she thought I was pretty, so she gave me an ocean blessing so I could be born." Smiling softly, she turned a bit herself, leaning against the window and looking into the room, towards Minka.

Ili laughed at James's solution, as he laughed at most everything now it seemed, and poured out of the cauldron like a child comes out the end of a waterslide.

"Woohoo!" he shouted, lifting himself out of the carpet as they prepared to leave.
