Max gave a small frown and squeezed Aaron's leg gently under the table "We've had a lovely time. Definitely miss it here." She said sweetly trying to keep Aaron calm.

Jackson chuckled softly "Surprised you're even here honestly. I thought we agreed you only come up for work?" He said shooting Eddie and Carmen a look as well. He sipped at his bourbon and gave a shake of his head "No matter though, you're here now and soon enough you'll be back where you belong in that shit hole town of Hawkins." He mused giving Aaron a wolfish grin.

Eddie frowned deeply watching Jackson as he just pushed Aaron's buttons repeatedly "Hawkins isn't that bad of a place, but I think it would be good to have Aaron back up here in the city."

Aaron grit his teeth a little, shaking his head, holding it in until after they had finished eating and Jackson made a comment about waving them off in the morning before he left.

Carmen sat quietly throughout, watching everyone’s interactions carefully until Jackson took his leave “Why don’t we go sit in the living room. I’ll have Alyssa bring us some drinks.” She suggested, going to speak to their housekeeper before joining everyone in the lounge, sitting with Eddie, holding his arm a little. “We didn’t know Jackson would be coming until he showed up.” She told them, sending the uncomfortable silence.

Eddie shook his head some and gave Carmen's hand a squeeze "Rick told me not to tell you, obviously he doesn't approve of my offer, but it still stands Aaron. I want you at my side again." He said truthfully

Max gave a heavy sigh and squeezed Aaron's hand gently. She didn't want to make anything worse by speaking her mind and how pissed she was.

Aaron shook his head. “We’ll obviously fucking not Munson. I’m not putting my wife at risk like that.” He muttered. “So we’re going home tomorrow. And Hawkins might not be the big city but we have made a home there so we will be just fine.” He muttered, getting up after a few minutes and nodding to max. “See you in a few years I guess.” He muttered, leaving with her.

Carmen sat there shaking her head, still just observing everything until they were gone. “You want another drink or just bed?” She asked him after a few minutes of silence.

Max frowned deeply and gave a heavy sigh "Thank you for having us over Eddie. We'll see you around. It was lovely to meet you Carmen." She said softly before leaving with Aaron. She gave a heavy sigh as they got in the car "I love you handsome." She said softly

Eddie sighed heavily putting his head in his hands "Another drink and then bed. I'm thankful they didn't break into a fight...again." he muttered

She frowned and went to get him a light drink, handing it to him before sitting and curling up to him. “You gotta stop letting the situation be controlled by other people in your house…. You’re going up in the world love, it’s time to do the controlling.” She murmured

Aaron nodded, waiting til they were back at their hotel and away from eddies guys before talking. “Mmm, let’s get some sleep. We can go home tomorrow and forget any of this ever happened.” He muttered. “I don’t trust that girl of his one bit. Did you see the way she was watching everyone? I don’t believe for a second that bullshit Eddie gave me when they got together that she was just a model and had no connections to this world…. I’m glad we don’t have to watch ourselves around hee though.”

Eddie groaned some and sipped at the drink she gave him "Darling....I'm trying to not let that side take over. You didn't like that side of me." He murmured rubbing his hand up and down her side.

Max nodded some "She definitely isn't a model, she knows how to work things way too well." She murmured running her fingers up and down his chest lightly "We'll be just fine in Hawkins too." She said gently before giving him a quick kiss "I'm going to take a quick shower before bed, you want to join me?"

She frowned and grabbed his chin. “I’m talking about work. Not with us. You work on separating the two and finding that switch. That is how you stay safe and you keep your ducks lined up.” She told him, kissing him gently before curling up to him again.

He smiled and shook his head. “No, I’m gonna get some sleep love, don’t take too long. Need to get your rest.” He murmured.

Eddie sighed heavily and gave a nod before kissing the top of her head "Mmm alright." He murmured before finishing off his drink "Come on, lets head to bed."

Max woke up early that next morning and began packing her small things sighing heavily. She hated that they were leaving, but she would stand by Aaron's side no matter what.

He frowned as he started waking up and watched her packing. “It’s still early love, come back to bed.” He murmured, reaching for her “You wanna fly back or drive?” He asked her quietly.

Carmen got up early to get in a shower, heading out to start getting into comfy clothes for the day as she only had a couple errands to run and an appointment with her trainer at the gym, “Morning sleepyhead. You got a busy or a quiet day?” She asked, setting his coffee down on his nightstand.

Max smiled softly as she heard him wake up. She went over and kissed him gently "Mmm good morning handsome. Its up to you, I don't mind." She said softly

Eddie woke up and groaned softly. He smiled though when he saw Carmen come in with his coffee "Mornin beautiful. Supposed to be slow, but with last night's events I have a feeling Rick will be calling at some point."

She nodded and straddled his hips once he was sat up. “Alright. You wanna take me to get some Christmas shooping done later?” She asked him,

He nodded. “Driving it is. Take our time. Get trashy road food on the way.” He suggested. “I got a couple jobs to get done once we get home so I’m gonna be real busy the next couple days” he told her, yawning as he pulled her in tightly.

Eddie smiled some and gave a small nod "Mmmm yeah sounds good. You gonna get your annual christmas lingerie set?" He asked wiggling his eyebrows a bit at her.

Max smiled softly and nodded some "Mmm that sounds real nice." She murmured before kissing him lovingly "Be careful okay? Make sure to call me too if you're gonna be any later than normal." She said softly knowing he would, but she always liked to remind him.

“Yes ma’am.” He smiled a little, rubbing his stubble all over her face and chuckling when she whined. “Oh but this is your favourite isn’t it?” He teased her, still a little groggy.

She smiled and shook her head. “Not shopping for me silly. For people on our list. You’re very behind this year.” She pointed out. “Let me go get my errands done and get to the gym. I’ll call you when I’m on my way back alright?” She smiled.

Max whined as he rubbed his stubble on her face and shook her head "No it is not. Its all prickly." She said before pouting at him "You gonna grow out your beard again? Or keep the mustache?" She murmured

Eddie gave a roll of his eyes and nodded "You're the only person that matters to me on the subject of Christmas but alright." He murmured before getting up and following her downstairs "Love you." He said quickly before kissing her goodbye

She smiled and blew him a kiss, heading out in her car to go get her stuff done for the morning.

He shrugged a little and pulled back, finally allowing her to get up. “HAVENT decided. Whatever I feel like.” He told her, stretching out and getting up to take a shower.

Max smiled some and let him go off while she went to finish packing. When they had finally made it home she was exhausted but happy to be there. She looked over at him and smiled as she checked over the house to make sure nothing had happened "So whn does that first job start?"

Eddie found himself in a department store hours later trudging behind Carmen. He hated shopping, but when she asked him to join so nicely he couldn't say no. He tailed behind her keeping an eye on everyone around them while she looked at things "How many more people do we need to buy for?"

“First thing tomorrow.” He told her, setting their luggage down in the hallway and texting one of his guys to come return the rental car for them.

“Three. Alyssa, Gareth and Rick and his wife.” She told him, handing him one of her bags so she could reach into her purse and grab a drink. “You wanna stop and get some dinner after or just go home?” She asked him

Max gave a small nod and sighed softly "Alright, well I'm gonna get dinner started. I want a good home cooked meal." She said softly before giving him a kiss "Let me know if you want anything specific." She murmured

Eddie groaned some and sighed "We can grab some dinner. As long as I get to take you to bed after." He teased before pulling her into him and pressing his face into her hair.

She smiled and shrugged. “Depends on what you plan on doing.” She muttered, pulling away to go find a gift for their housekeeper.

He nodded and went to get changed into at home clothes, going straight up to his study to get started on work. He hadn’t totally given up on the idea of going home to Chicago but now he had a bit more of an idea of how to go about it so that Jackson would never have an issue.

Eddie smirked and started to whisper explicit things into her ear chuckling as he saw blush faintly creep onto her cheeks "So what do you say?" He asked happily

Max went up once food with done and smiled a bit "Hey handsome food is ready." She said happily before going over and giving him a peck on the lips "Everything going okay?"

He nodded and clocked out of everything, standing up. “Yeah. Just putting plans in place to be able to make the move back home. I know we’re settled here. I know we have a comfortable life but the fact I went down for Eddie and he’s out there living a life with nothing but luxury…. That I’m being forcibly kept away from? I don’t like it. So I’m still working on getting us home.” He told her.

she rolled her eyes and smiled at him “Then go sort out Gareth’s Christmas present so we can go home.” She told him. “I’ll meet you at the car in a little bit.” She promised, pecking his lips and left him stood there to go finish her shopping.

Max gave him a wide smile "I think thats a great idea love. You deserve that life too." She murmured before going over and wrapping her arms around his neck as he stood up "You know I'm by your side no matter what."

Eddie groaned but nodded and dramatically walked off to find Gareth something. He met her at the car around 30 minutes later and handed her the present "Here, I got him that album he has been wanting."

She smiled and shook her head "Oh so thoughtful." She muttered "Right then, take me home. That better not have been just talk mister." She told him but frowned when instead of opening the front passenger seat of the Porsche SUV he opened the back door, "Oh is that how you're trying to keep my attitude in check now? It ain't gonna work mister." She muttered, putting the bags in the trunk and walked over to him, "I'm not riding in the back while you sit in the front." she muttered

He smiled a little and kissed her head "Mmm... You're like a little limpet." He teased her, swaying for a minute before heading downstairs with her to go get dinner, grabbing a beer out of the fridge "I do hope Ed stays sensible without guidance. Gareth is a great right hand but he's not a peacekeeper." He sighed

Eddie smirked some and opened the back door for her "Just get in the back Carmen. We aren't driving just yet." He muttered in her ear letting his more dominant side out.

Max sat with him at the dining table and nodded "I do as well, because if he doesn't it'll put everyone in more danger." She murmured before giving a heavy sigh
