Realistic or Modern Writing our Sins one at a time

She frowned and shook her head. “Don’t tell me that like I don’t know how much he can hurt me. Because he’s already done that. Aaron is the last resort.” She told her seriously, getting up to go get the dogs a treat each.

Aaron nodded. “I know. So did I. Constantly asked me why we couldn’t just reconcile. So get your shit together and start getting yourself sorted or he’s gonna be so ducking disappointed in you.” He spat.

Max gave a small nod and sighed softly "I'm not sure if Aaron will be much help, they haven't been exactly close in a while. But I hope that this can help." She said softly as she watched her feed the dogs.

Eddie frowned deeply and shook his head "Not that fucking simple and who gave you the fucking right to speak to me like that huh? Not like you even give a shit anymore." He spat

He froze before stepping forward and pinning him back against the cabinets behind him. “You’re the one who stopped talking to me! I did hard time. Because of you!” He yelled. “How fucking dare you. I don’t have any respect left for you anymore. Get your shit together Munson.” He spat.

Carmen frowned hearing the shouting. “Maybe not but it was better than not trying at all. Excuse me.” She muttered, heading out of the room

Max frowned deeply when she heard yelling and quickly followed Carmen gently grabbing her arm to stop her "Don't, for your own safety don't. I know you can probably handle yourself but getting between them is not a good idea. Let us get one of their men to split it up.

Eddie glared at him before lashing out and tackling him to the ground as he tried to walk away. "No one fucking told you to take that fall damn it! You think it was my decision to send your ass off?!" He yelled as he started to throw punches which Aaron returned in full force.

She pulled away from her and frowned. “I can handle myself but I’m not going after them. So please don’t grab at me.” She muttered, going up to their room and closing the door.

“Youre as stupid as you ever were. You think I chose to do that for you?! You think it was my idea to be gone from my wife?! You dumbass that order came from the top. And either way it’s not like you ever tried to stop me!” He spat at him, finally getting him pinned to the floor. “And you still can’t beat me.” He muttered. “Stop drinking, get your shit together or you’re gonna lose that girl of yours. And then you will have no one!”

Max frowned as she went off upstairs leavimg her there. She sighed heavily and went to stand by the door waiting there for another ten minutes or so before she saw Aaron make his way down. His lip eyebrow split and nose bloodoed "Come on, let me get you cleaned up." She murmured knowimg better than to ask what happened right this second.

Eddie listened to him and soon pushed him off "Get out, take your wife and get out of my house." He muttered before getting up. He left to his room sighing heavily whem he found Carmen in bed with their dogs "Where are those cold packs?" He asked as he made his way to the bathroom already feeling his right eye start to swell up.

She glanced up and sighed. “Eddie… come here. Let me sort it.” She told him, shaking her head while she went to get a few supplies. She eventually managed to get him to sit down so she could clean him up, crying as she did so, feeling defeated.

He nodded and found a bathroom downstairs, “use his nice fucking towels too.” He muttered, furious with him and just wanting to get far away from him

Max gave a small nod and helped clean him up with the supplies she had found in there. "You won't need stitches thankfully." She murmured before pecking his lips "Come on, lets get going and you can tell me what happened once you're cooled down." She murmured softly.

Eddie sat down eventually and sighed heavily. He frowned when he heard her sniffling feelimg his whole demenour shift "Are you crying? Baby....why are you crying?" He asked in a soft voice. He hadn't been this gentle with her in months but he could never stand to see her cry.

He sighed a little and nodded, opening the front door for her and taking her hand once they were on the street. “I’m gonna come back tomorrow.” He told her frowning. “I know today didn’t go well but that’s not the Eddie I know. And I know that people change but not like that they don’t.” He muttered. “You wanna go get some lunch? We can get a cab and I’ll take you shopping.” He suggested, wanting to get his mind away from Eddie for a minute. They hadn’t been home in so long and he wanted to have some time just in the city with his wife too.

She frowned and looked at him shaking her head. “That was my last idea. I asked him to come here to help you Ed. And you fight and nothing changes instead. I don’t know what there is to help you get better.” She told him, stepping back a little and wiping at her tears. “I get that it’s hard but fuck Ed… do you know how painful it is watching you drink yourself to the ground?” She choked out, sitting on the edge of their bed, feeling one of the dogs behind her, trying to lick af her face until Eddie moved them away.

Max gave him a nod and sighed softly "I hope you're able to get through to him. I haven't seen him this bad since we graduated amd his dad came back for that short period." She said softly while they waited for a cab "Mmm lunch sounds nice. I know the circumstances are shit, but I'm glad to be home for atleast a little bit."

Eddie frowned deeply as he listened to her and gave a heavy sigh. He shooed the dogs away when they came to comfort her and wrapped his arms around her "There is....there is a lot going on right now in my work world. Things I can't talk about right now and it is weighing heavy on me." He admits before kissimg the top of her head repeatedly

He nodded and kissed her head. “No more Eddie talk until tomorrow at least.” He smiled at her. “When are you seeing your brother?” He asked, laying an arm over her shoulders while they walked.

She shook her head. “No! No you leave that shit at the front door Ed! That’s the rules. They always have been. I can’t stick around to watch you do this to yourself.” She told him seriously “I won’t do it. So either things change or I go. Cause instead of letting your best friend help you today, you beat the shot out of each other.”

Max smiled some and pecked his cheek "Tomorrow, I'm gonna surprise him at work." She said happily getting excited to see her big brother again. As they walked she started to recognize all the old places they used to go to smiling wide "Remember when we used to walk the city all day as teens?" She murmured happily

Eddie frowned deeply as he listened to her "You don't understand nor do I want you to have to." He muttered before getting up "Things are about to change and I can't stop it." He said before going into the bathroom, closing the door and locking it behind him.

She stared after him in shock, standing up to chuck a few bits into a bag to take with her and heading out of the house. She wasn’t going to stick around to be treated like dirt all the time.

He smiled and shrugged a little. “We came here a little but this was more your neck of the woods. I grew up more downtown.” He reminded her.

Eddie came out a bit later and frowned deeply when he saw her things gone. He gave a heavy sigh and made his way to his study with the dogs on his tail.

Max smiled happily abd nodded some "You're right." She murmured before going on with him. By the end of the day they found themselves back in their hotel room exhausted and ready for bed.

He watched her come out of the bathroom after hee shower, leaned back against the headboard of the bed in just his sweatpants. “You call me when you get to your brothers and when you leave alright? I wanna know that you’re safe.” He told her, frowning when his phone started ringing and he glanced down to see eddies name flashing, sending him a text instead fhat they could talk tomorrow.

Max came out to the room after her shower and smiled softly at her husband. He was still just as handsome as ever to her. She curled up next to him in the bed amd gave him a small nod "I promise I will babe don't worry." She murmured before kissing him gently. She gave a small frown as his phone went off hoping work wasn't calling on him "Everything alright?"

He nodded and turned the lights off, pulling her in close. “Ed. Told him we’d talk tomorrow.” He explained. This wouldn’t be the first time they’d fought and probably not the last but right now he was home in his favourite city with his wife and that was all he cared about as he started falling asleep, soon snoring loud

Eddie woke up the next morning groaning softly as he held his head giving a heavy sigh as saw the empty space beside him. He had tried to call Carmen multiple times yesterday but only got voicemail each time. When he finally got ready for the day he found himself in the kitchen actually making himself breakfast rather than pouring a drink.

Max woke up early that next morning and groaned softly as she nuzzled her face into her husband's chest. The light was peering in through the small crack in the curtains illuminating the room just enough to where she could see him outlined if she decided to pull away.

Carmen stepped out of her hotel room, going down to get some breakfast and start doing a little bit of work. She wasn’t about to call Eddie back just yet. And if he wanted to find her all he would have to do is check the credit card. She figured if he cared enough he would come get her.

Aaron was still asleep, finally managing to get some rest after a fairly hectic few weeks so he was using what time he could, only waking up to the sound of the door opening and sat up to see max had ordered room service. “What time is it?” He grumbled, getting up to get dressed

Max smiked softly when she heard her husband's groggy morning voice "A little past nine. You were sleeping good, you haven't snored like that in a while." She teased before pecking his lips. "I got some breakfast for us, you hungry?"

Eddie sighed heavily as he looked at the credit card to see what hotel Carmen had checked herself into. He had decided he would try to get her once he was done talking to Aaron, he needed to get this shit handled before he got her back.

He shook his head and smiled at her. “I better get going. Call me when you’re done with your brother and we can go get some food. I still owe you deep dish.” He reminded her, kissing her cheek once he was ready and winked at her before heading out the room.

Gareth was bringing him some papers on the information for the next couple jobs and sighed some. “You want one of us to go pick her up?” He asked him when he saw him looking over the bank statements

Max nodded and fave him a quick peck on the cheek before letting him leave. Soon enough she found herself outside the restaurant her brother worked at smiling widely. It looked the same as it always had, an old run down sandwhich shop that held a certain charm to it. She walked inside and gave a small frown when a girl she hadn't seen before told her they were closed for the time being "Oh I'm not here to eat, can you get Richie for me?" She asked already hearing his loud voice in the kitchen.

Eddie looked at Gareth and shook his head "No, she won't go with you. I'll get her once I'm done with Aaron." He muttered hearing the doorbell go off soon after. "Speak of the devil." He said before standing up and going down to let Aaron in.

Richie looked up when he heard there was someone there to see him, heading out to the front a little skeptical until he saw max and grinned. “What the hell are you doing here?” He smiled, going around the counter and hugging her tightly.

Aaron waited til the door opened and walked in, watching Eddie carefully. “You still can’t beat me in a fight huh?” He chuckled. “Are you ready to talk and not throw punches?”

Max smiled widely as she flung her arms around her brother's neck hugging him just as tight "I'm in town for a bit, wanted to come by and see you." She said happily to him "How have things been? I haven't talked to you since you told me about Mikey."

Eddie rolled his eyes and gave a nod before ushering him inside "Come on." He muttered before leading him upstairs to his study "Gareth take my calls, don't interupt us unless it deals with Carmen." He told him seriously before going inside the room and closing the heavy wood door.

He frowned a little and pulled back “wait wait… why are you in town? It’s not work for the asshole is it?” He asked her. “Cause things aren’t going great here in their world. You gotta be careful yknow.” He pointed out.

Aaron sat down and sighed. “What the fuck is going on Ed? I get it, losing Wayne was hard. Really fucking hard but throwing away your relationship and drinking yourself to death isn’t the answer and I know you know it.”
