He frowned some “I don’t know. I’m his emergency contact and all they’ve told me is that he wasn’t responsive at the scene but he is currently in surgery. He put you on his emergency list. People who can go see him. If you want to wait to hear more I can upda-“ he stopped when she cut him off.

She frowned at his whole demeanour and was about to ask what he was doing when he closed the distance between them. It was only a couple of seconds but she aaa in shock enough she barely had time to react, finally pushing jim off. “What the hell was that?” She questioned him, “you’re fucking lucky that Joseph isn’t Ho-“ she got cut off when the front door slammed open and she saw him storming inside. “Shit. Sofía. Can you go to your room please?” She called to her and went to usher her up the stairs

Max shook her head some "No no I want to see him now. No more waiting I need to see him." She said completely cutting him off. She had to be with Jon.

Joseph had gotten home early that night. Roses in hand with her favorite chocolates but he dropped everything when he saw Henry and Carmen kissing. He quickly slammed the door shut as Carmen pulled away "What the fuck is this huh?!" He spat storming over to them. He put himself between Henry and Carmen glaring the man up and down "You think you can take her from me? " He growled before throwing a punch at his jaw

Carmen shook her head and tried to stop him and calm him down but he was wound up now. “Joseph stop! Stop it was a stupid decision he made but it was just a mistake.” She told him trying to get him to settle. “I can handle myself.” She told him not wanting Sofía to walk in on this.

He nodded and let her know what hospital to go to and that he would be there later but he had to deal with the fallout from this.

Jon was being put up in a recovery ward as she was arriving, the cop escort he had finishing putting the handcuff on the bed right as max was being allowe don’t to the room

Joseph wasn't listening at all. He had lost it well and truely right there and continued to go in on Henry. After he was satisfied he pulled his gun out and stuck the barrel in Henry's mouth "You put your hands on her again and I'll fucking kill you." He said seriously with a wild and deranged look in his eyes before he got up and stormed off to their room.

Max thanked Jake before she got up and left the house. She rushed inside once there and asked the nurse to let her through. After about ten minutes of checking her over she finally got brought through to him. She took a deep breath as she sat next to him and held his cuffed hand in hers as tightly as she could without hurting him

Carmen cursed loud under her breath before he disappeared upstairs and she helped Henry off the floor. “You should go. I’ll come pick her up on Thursday.” She told him seriously and went to get Sofía to go downstairs to go with him, watching her get in the car then turned to look at Henry again. “What?”

Jon started coming around not long after that and just watched her tiredly. “Hey… what are you doing here?” He asked her quietly. All in all he was going to be okay thankfully with just a straight through wound.

Henry got up and frowned deeply as he cleaned up his face from the blood Joseph had drawn. He watched Carmen shaking his head a bit staying quiet until the door was closed "She shouldn't be around him." He said very seriously "How could you have our daughter around a mad man like that all these years?!"

Max let out a small sigh of relief when he started to wake up "You got shot. Jake called to tell me. I couldn't wait for an update, I had to see you myself."

She frowned and shook her head. “Because he has never and will never bring it around her.” She told him seriously. “And I hope you’d do something similar if someone forced themselves onto your partner.” She pointed out. “Get. Out.” She told him seriously.

He sighed a little but nodded and gave her hand a squeeze. “I’m glad he thought to tell you.” He mumbled frowning. “I already miss you.” He smiled a little sadly

Henry frowned more shaking his head "Someone like that is going to snap one day and it could be on her." He explained before getting in his car and leaving with Sofia.

Joseph looked up when he heard the door open frowning some "I'm sorry...I just...I'm sorry.." he said softly before looking back at the ground

Max gave a small nod and moved to kiss him gently "I've missed you too." She said softly as she cupped his cheek gently "This is going to be difficult....but we'll make it. You just gotta stay alive okay?"

He smiled tiredly and shrugged. “That might be easier said than done.” He chuckled then winced and just squeezed her hand, watching her.

Carmen shook her head and stepped closer, holding onto him. “You gotta try and reign it in around him…. He’s just freaked out.” She sighed. “Thank you… I appreciate it…. I didn’t want that. He just… I was pouring a drink and I looked up and he was right there.” She muttered.

Max sighed heavily kissing him gently again "I just want you home." She murmured before letting a few tears fall "You better atleast try to stay alive mister and come back to me."

Joseph wrapped his arms around her waist pressing the side of his face in her stomach. He gave a small nod taking a deep breath "Your father spoke to me.....about you joining me." He murmured quietly glancing up at her

She frowned and moved to sit next to him on their bed. “What did he say?” She asked him quietly, pulling on him to come closer.

Jon smiled tiredly just watching her. “I’m gonna do my best love.” He promised giving her hand a squeeze again as he was starting to fall asleep.

Joseph frowned more as he moved to sit with her "He told me to let you go with me...but I have one thing to ask you." He said softly giving a heavy sigh "We want a family right? I don't want you pushing it off because we are doing jobs together." He said quietly

Max nodded softly and sighed heavily as he finally fell asleep refusing to leave his side.

She shook her head. “I wouldn’t dream of doing so. And I promise you that once I am more than 12 weeks, I stop doing jobs.” She murmured to him. “You know I’m good enough to handle myself. In fact I remember saving your ass on your first Jon in this country.” She pointed out

His security guard headed into the room a little later and frowned. “You gotta go. He’s still a prisoner this isn’t a pleasure visit. Doc says he’s gonna be fine. Therefore there is no longer a threat to his life. You need to leave.” He told her

Joseph gave a nod and chuckled quietly "True, but I still worry about you." He said before kissing her gently "I just want my family safe." He murmured before he got up to take a shower "Would you care to join me?"

Max frowned deeply at the security guard "Can't...can't I stay until he wakes up? Just so he knows I'm leaving?" She begged just wanting to stay with him as long as possible

She nodded and smiled, letting him pull her up and taking him straight to their bathroom, leaning back against him while they waited for the water to heat up, "I'm a little worried he's gonna try and stop Sofía from being here... Try and take more custody." She frowned.

He shook his head "I'll tell him once he;s awake. I'm sorry, those are the rules. Murderers don't get extra perks." He muttered

Joseph held her close to him running his hands lightly over her body "Its going to be okay, he won't take her." He said softly before kissing her cheek gently "Try not to stress too much."

Max took a deep breath but nodded softly "Alright, thank you." She said quietly before standing up and making her way out

She frowned and just nodded letting herself relax under his touch. “I think maybe the next time he has her all weekend you and me should take a break. Maybe do a spa weekend.” She mumbled tiredly, stepping into the shower with him and stayed quiet while he cleaned them both up and she just looked sleepier but the minute.

Joseph smiled some as he stepped into the shower with her "Mmm that sounds like it could be nice." He said quietly before washing her body and his. He kept quiet with her for the rest of the time before they stepped out once the water had grown cold "You want some dinner or just bed?"

She smiled and shook her head. “If I eat I’m gonna fall asleep on my plate.” She mumbled, giggling when she felt him sweep her up into his arms. “Bed time I think.” She mumbled, kissing him gently.

Jon walked quietly in between the guards with his box of belongings down the hallway until they reached the door that would lead him to his freedom, waiting tik it was unlocked and finally left the building, looking around the parking lot and smiling just a little when he saw maxs car nearby

Joseph smiled and picked her up bridal style. He moved her to lay in bed and kissed all over her face "Mmmm I love you so much." He said softly before getting up to grab them underwear.

Max smiled widely when she saw Jon come out of the prison. She rushed over to him and jumped into his arms once he was on the other side of the fence "Oh how I have missed you." She said between kisses keeping her body close to his. These two years had been torture, she only got to see him a few times and from what Jake had told her, he wasn't doing well in there. She was just happy to have him out and finally back in her arms.

She took hers and slowly put it on before reaching for him again. “If you’re hungry go eat.” She murmured and kissed him gently before drifting off.

He flinched when she collided with him, immediately setting her down and holding his side a little, “hey beautiful. I missed you too.” He murmured, kissing the top of her head. “Can we… can we just go and do all this stuff once we’re outta here?” He asked her looking around suspiciously.

Joseph woke up the next morning to his phone blaring. He groaned and rolled over to check the time seeing it was 3 in the morning. He picked up the phone and swung his legs over the bed to be sitting up "Yeah?" He muttered down the line tensing when he heard Antonio's right hand speaking saying someone tried to attack him at his home.

Max frowned when she noticed him grab at his side. She hadn't been told about a possible injury. Nodding though, she took his hand and led him to her car "Jake is going to tail us to my place." She said softly

He frowned holding the ice pack to his head. “Be careful Joseph. Cause all I heard from them was that she wasn’t here… I don’t know who ‘she’ is but it would be a fair guess to say they mean carmen.” He warned him

He just nodded and got in the car, leaning back and watching her. “I missed you.” He murmured, giving her hand a squeeze

Joseph tensed when they mentioned Carmen but nodded some "Alright...alright thanks." He muttered before hanging up. He got up and quickly went to check the doors and windows of the house making sure every last one of them was locked.

Max smiled softly at him "I missed you too." She said giving his hand a squeeze before she drove off "What happened to your side?"

Carmen frowned hearing all the movement and got up, heading downstairs and rubbing at her face. “Joe? Baby what are you doing?” She asked him, yawning and going to get some water now that she was up

Jon frowned and shrugged. “Got burnt. It’s okay though.” He mumbled, rubbing at his face until they got back and he got out with her, heading into the house and straight up to bed to put his stuff down before coming back down to her
