"Well the there's really not much to affect..." Arsenic trailed of taking his hands out of his pockets and clasping them together. "We'll be very careful Ace. Like dust in the wind." Arsenic smiled at his joke as he vanished with a sudden gust of wind.

Ace rolled eyes. "Because I can do that..." He said while walking into the forest.

 

[Athens]

Arsenic appeared in front of Ace with a mischievous smile on his face, but he tried to cover it with an innocent look. "Sorry, I guess I forgot."


He most definitely did not forget.


He grabbed Ace's wrist and snapped his fingers, making them both vanish into the wind.

Ace rolled his eyes slightly before they vanished, knowing fully well he didn't forget. "Let's go save your Princess." He said calmly while they travelled in a way that only the Checkered Twins could.

Startled, Hilda looked up from her meal to see the Chesire Cat grinning at her. The Queen of Spades hadn't specified a time limit so Hilda figured she could take her sweet time finding Cheshire. Who knew the silly cat would just waltz into her kitchen?


"A deal," Hilda answered bluntly. "The Queen of Spades wants me to capture you in return for my colors back. I don't suppose you'll let yourself be peaceful caught?"

Atop the Ivory tower, Peony was bored out of her mind. She fingered the golden necklace that the white rabbit had given her on her fifth birthday. If she didn't do something soon she feared she would die from boredom. "What's say you, Mr. Rabbit?" Peony asked the necklace. "Shall I try to find a way out of here?"

 

[Athens]

"Off we go to save princess Duchess." Arsenic mused with Ace flowing along with the wind. "I'm quite curious old friend of mine, what does it feel like when you fly with me? I've always been dying to know what it feels like from another person's point of view."

Magnolia yelped as she feel to the floor roughly in the Ivory Tower. She had tried to ignore the calling of the Time of Choice, but if you don't move when it tells you to, it'll force you. She stood up slowly looking at Peony. "Who are you?" She asked trying to get a reading on her newest person of interest. She dusted herself off waiting for an answer. "Well? Oh, I'm sorry that was rude of me."

"Oh," Peony gasped when a girl with a white dress appeared before her. She studied the girl curiously. "I'm Peony Heart. Who art thou?"

The cat looked at the witch."I was wrong your beyond mad." He went and disappeared out side her cottage. "I won't go peacefully, I am mad but not mad."He says." I mean you could capture me but I will just disappear, but if I disappeared to no where I won't exhist." He says out of her grip.


He disappeared and reappeared in the blank looking forest. He would not go, not with the witch.but should he to listen in on the queen.He sighed and finally turned around. He appeared on a shelf knocking things over."if you can catch me you can have me." He says.

Ace looked around. "It's... Weird... I feel very floaty..." He said while looking back at him slightly. "So your sister is there too... Weird.."

Arsenic looked focused his thoughts in his sister briefly. "No. She's there, but not there." Then he smiled. "But that's nice to know." He stopped in the part of the maze behind Duchess' tower. "So how are we going to go about doing this, without the guards over there," He pointed to the base of the tower. "noticing when they check on her, and raising the alarm."

Magnolia smiled at Peony. "It's lovely to meet you Miss Peony. May you choose well." She replied not giving her name. Names were not revealed to those of choosing until afterwards, if they still wanted to know. "I have options for you Daughter of the fallen Red Queen. A way to bring about your freedom." Dread was creeping up on Maggie for each moment she spoke. Sure she gave you all good choices, but even seemingly good options have bad outcomes.

Isabelline sat politely in audience with the Queen of Spades. "You called me my lady?" She questioned, although she already knew the answer, stroking her companion Manson's ears fondly. "I was quite busy you know. There's always more knowledge to soak in, new things to learn." She murmured her kaleidoscope eyes fluttering around the room. The were that color from knowledge man had yet to know for hundreds and thousands of years.

Serena looked at her." I want information on the Cheshire cat how do I get him to join me I need his weakness and the girl who just entered my realm who is she and how will she affect my plans."The queen asks she turned sweeping her dress behind her." This land will be mine and I need your knowledge." She said she paced her heals clicking on the rough stone tile.She wanted her power to grow, but there were still those who held out on her.

Hilda sighed irritably when the cat disappeared. Things were never easy when dealing with the Cheshire Cat. She was almost beginning to regret taking on the Queen's job.


Then Cheshire appeared again on her potions shelf. "Careful with those!" Hilda screeched when the infuriating pussy knocked over several vials. "I spend hours making them!"


Hilda knew there was almost no chance of attacking the cat directly so she cast ward around her house, sealing all occupants inside


"Nothing shall enter, nothing shall leave, not until my prey I safely retrieve."

Peony didn't really understand what the lady was saying, but she nodded in determination. "Prithee, what must I do to be free?"

The cat walked along the shelf still knocking viles off. He disappeared and reappeared on top of the clock."Tick Tock goes the clock.I may not be able to leave, but neither can you." He said grinning. He would disappear from room to roommates he was infuriating and he liked it.he said she would have to catch him before he give up. He was just trapped for now even in this he could have fun and mess with the witch.

Isabelline smiled softly in amusement. "Of course my lady." She tapped her long nails against the arm of her chair in slow rhythm. "The Cheshire cat loves challenges, like the Hatter loves games." She smirked softly at the mention of the Hatter. If only the queen knew... If she got the hint she was most definitely smarter than Isabelline had perceived her to be. "This girl you wish to know about is Not Alice." She replied cryptically. "And she has no desire to affect your plans." The woman ended on that note, standing up an walking out of the room with her dog right behind, but there was one word place firmly in her thoughts that she had retained from telling the queen.

Magnolia closed her eyes letting her powers take over. "There are two choices you may pick from my dear Peony. The first choice may seem easiest, but no one knows how long easy may take." Maggie said softly looking at the girl, as if she could see into her. "A man will come and retrieve you from this tower, a bringer of death or a bringer of darkness, no one knows." She took the princess' hand in hers. "Or I can take you transport you from this tower, to a location unknown, and no one will be able to spy on you from afar -for the time being- But be warned, a location unknown is not always friendly." She dropped the girl's hand and stepped back. "Choose wisely."

Arsenic nodded in response vanishes into the wind, and appearing inside Duchess' tower.

Duchess looked at him surprise. "Arsenic? W-what are you doing here?" She said as she put her hands on the bars.

"Stop that!" Hilda growled, reaching for Cheshire. She missed and accidentally knocked off another one of her vials, causing red liquid to spill on her stone floor. "Arrgh!"


Breathing heavily, Hilda forced herself to calm down. She was tempted to call lightning down to smite the cat, but it would smite her house...and herself as well. "Why is the Queen of Spades after you anyway? What's going on? Infuriating as you are, she's never paid you any heed before now."

"Oh dear...a bringer of death and darkness dost not sound very friendly," Peony said, pondering her options. "And thou appears to be quite kind."


A location unknown sounded quite fascinating to Peony who had never really seen much of the outside world. The Autumn Princess excitedly took the mystery girl's hand. "I bid thee, take me to a location far from here."

The cat shrugged. "That is something you have to tell me. Most likely because I can pop up out of anywhere. " he said boredom he stayed on top of the clock out if her reach. Chesh smiled "so why help her any way follow the color?" He asked and reappeared on the table then disappeared again.


The Queen smirked and the pot boiled. She looked in at it. She saw her daughter talking to someone. She smiled and went to the door of the guards. " open up the door."She says. Serena waited as the door flung open. She climbed the stairs and walked along up to her daughter's room." Who are you talking to?"She asks.

Duchess quickly whirled around in surprise. "M-Mother- Y-Your Highness! I-I don't know what thou mean..." She said while a breeze blew through the room.

 

[Athens]

"Is this your final choice?" Magnolia asked not giving any sign of whether Peony had made the right chose or not. There wasn't really a right choice just a good one and a bad one. She didn't hold the girl's band keeping her body still, she didn't smile, nothing every pleased her about her job.

Arsenic smiled cheekily -which felt so foreign on his face, but that's what Duchess did to him. "Did you really think I would just leave you?" He heard the queen coming and quickly cloaked himself, so the queen wouldn't see his face, and then did the same to Duchess. He wrapped an arm around her waist and disappeared into the breeze with Duchess.

"I didn't ask to come here." Ophelia protested. "Cant you guys get my mom? You know what, I could go up and get my mom. She knows her way around here better then me." She wasn't made to be a warrior or a freedom fighter or whatever, she was only 17!

Hilda folded her arms and rolled her eyes. "You've been able to pop anywhere since the day you were born and you've lived in wonderland longer than I. Yet the Queen hasn't cared about you until recently. Something's got her spooked enough to consider you a threat and I think you know what that something is. So spill pussycat."


Hilda sat back down to finish her meal. "As for why I'm working for her, the answer should be obvious. I like my color and I don't care much about the rest of the world."

Peony frowned. "Methinks so..."


She didn't know what the right answer was, but she didn't want to wait for someone to save her. Peony had been doing that her entire life. She had waited for someone to save her from her mother. She had waited for someone to save her from her loneliness. For once she wanted to save herself. So no one would end up like poor Mr. Rabbit again. Peony clenched her fist. "Yea, 'tis my choice."

 

[Athens]

Magnolia nodded clasping her hand around the young woman's. "Round and round the wheel we go. Where we shall stop, no one knows." Maggie recited twirling her finger gently in the air so you could see strange ripples in the empty space around them, as if it were water. The took in a deep breath preparing for the unnatural tugging sensation in your gut from spontaneous teleportation.


She let a small breathy gasp at the area around them. It was Beyond the Looking Glass, the battlegrounds where Alice defeated the Jabberwocky. It looked exactly the same with no effects from the Queen's curse. Maybe it had something to do with the fact that it was already black and white, but she doubted it. The purple Jabberwocky blood still looked as fresh as ever on the giant chessboard.


"This is your stop Miss Peony, and if you would still like to know my name, you may."

Duchess gave a faint gasps as Arsenic wrapped his arm around her waist as they vanished away from the Ebony tower and from her mother.

The cat stretched and sat on the other end of the table. He layed out and grinned. " mad Mad mad were all just mad living in a colorless world."He says. He had a twinkle in his eye." I do know, she is afraid of failing that daughter of her's was locked away in a tower do to the fact she didn't have serenas attitude. And that girl is just the tip of the ice berg there is more going on then any of you know even the oh wise caterpillar has no idea what's coming."The cat said with a laugh.
