Nicknames: Oma, Old Woman, F'lah

Age:
329

Sex:
Female

Race:
Dunmer

Appearance:

Occupation: Dust Adept

Alliance: Rebellion

Magical abilities:
Omehra specializes in Alteration and Destruction, specifically the Telvanni art of manipulating dust, ash, sand, and other particulate matter. Whether it's stirring up dust storms, encasing foes in cocoons of ash, or poisoning enemy's lungs with enough soot to choke a coal miner, she is right at home in any environment with grit or dust to be found. She finds snow less useful, but can usually still pull dust from the soil beneath it or the air above it, due to the dry climate.

Common items: Dust Adept helm with a filter to breathe safely in toxic or disease-ridden environments. Various potions, mostly medicinal. Tea leaves,

First weapon of choice: A slender dunmeri shortsword that she wields with significant grace.

Personality: Omehra is surprisingly amicable for a dunmer - doubly so for a telvanni dunmer, and thrice again for a telvanni of her age. Where most of her people fell into despair or bitterness on seeing Red Mountain erupt, for her it was a source of inspiration. Destruction in her eyes is an opportunity for renewed life, and she views most battles and conflicts with the sort of amusement that someone would reserve for watching their grandchildren fight with wooden swords. Of course, this is not to say she is wholly passive. She is heavily nationalistic, and so is dedicated to seeing the Empire thwarted, as in her eyes they abandoned her people. As most Telvanni members, she believes in rule by superiority - meaning those who prevail are usually the most correct, though it does still matter how they prevail in her eyes. An elven lifetime of wandering one of the most hostile environments on Tamriel has made her almost comically resistant to pain and hardship, she greets them like old friends.

History:

Telvanni Dust Adepts are renowned for their magical connection and training with the stifling ash that Red Mountain pours into the air every day. In the years before the Eruption, Omehra saw the spread of the Sixth House and their Ash-Diseases, and grew more and more certain that her magical specialty would be the key to safely fighting these monsters. However, as part of the Empire's treaty with Morrowind, Dust Magic was forbidden on Vvardenfell. So Omehra could either continue her studies on the mainland, while consumed with guilt over her inability to assist, or she could do her part on the island itself but be banned from using her powers.

She did a little of both; venturing out to Vvardenfell to collect samples and artifacts from the sixth house, and then fleeing back to the mainland to practice more thoroughly. Even after Dagoth Ur was slain, Omehra continued her studies, eager to delve into the (eventually) empty Dagoth strongholds for clues...right up until Baar Dau fell. It was only through a combination of her specialized skills and equipment, and being in a fortified Dagoth stronghold on the other side of the island from Vivec City, that she survived the Red Year. Even still, it strained every last reserve of magicka she had just to keep from being crushed by debris or burned alive by lava, and it took days more of wandering through ash-choked wastes to finally reach a better holdout point. She couldn't even use her water walking to cross the strait - the lava had turned most of the surrounding water to boiling.

Yet from the destruction, Omehra found renewed growth. The fertile ash coupled with some of the residual magic given off by the Heart of Lorkhan transformed the island into a paradise...at least, a paradise for someone who researches Ash-Magic. With most of the Telvanni lords ultimately swarmed and killed by the argonian invaders, Omehra has since begun building her power and establishing Dust Adept facilities amongst the wasteland. If the Empire didn't like it, they were welcome to come to the deadly island and stop her.

Nowadays, two centuries later, she's made great strides in her research, but has begun traveling once more. The brief trouble brewing on Solstheim has drawn her out from Vvardenfell, and during a brief visit to Skyrim, found herself unable to leave due to the increased imperial restrictions on travel. She joined the rebellion, having already suffered indignities at the hands of the empire once before.

Romantic orientation:
Bi-Curious

Other: Birthsign - The Tower
