~ Ethan Fairchild ~

Ethan Fairchild grinned like a kid in a candy store, he loved a woman with fire and this one was all kinds of fire, especially the kind that could blind you if you looked to long. “Well...” He shrugged sheepishly, leaning his back against the locker next to her, “These were work clothes but they turned into party clothes...” Ethan just smiled at her and folded his arms across his chest, “I don’t think you’d get with me in a million years... maybe if we were the two last on earth but... even then i might have to buy you some dinner and some wine.” He laughed softly, “What do you think babe?”

Zach
tumblr_inline_nns4quPILE1sccn28_500.gif

Coach had ordered another morning in the gym, even though football season was almost over. Zach did like working out, but after the weekend he had had, he would of rather had an extra two hours of sleep, instead of showing up to school 2 hours before the rest of the Westbrook high. He loved the attention that he was getting from coach since Mason and Kanen weren't able to play the rest of the season. But the it started to weigh on his shoulders. He never realized how much stress it would take out on him, leading the team. Not that he ever had great grades, but they were passable. His mediocre work started to dip below acceptable, and into failing, which wouldn't keep him on the team, or help him get into college.

Zach didn't want to be held back yet another year, he was so ready to get out of Westbrook. He was ready to get out of Westbrook years ago, but that hadn't been an option. Not yet anyways. Coach this morning had pulled him aside to tell him he needed to step his grades back up to a C average or he wasn't going to be allowed to play. At this point, Westbrook High wouldn't have enough players to play any games, and they would have to draw in players from the middle school, just to have enough to be considered a team.

Coach took this moment to tell him that he had set him up with a tutor, some who Zach unfortunately knew as insufferable virgin Mary of the school. A know it all, and an extreme pessimist who seemed to hate the human race. Ava.
"Coach, I swear I can bring up the grades, I don't need a tutor." He really didn't need a tutor, he just needed to actually do his work, not that he would tell coach that he had been neglecting his homework to keep up with practice.

"I don't want to hear it Levine. You can't stay on the team unless you try to bring your grades up, Principal Nona wanted me to cut you from the team without a chance. But I was able to convince her to let you try. You know I can't loose anymore players this season." Coach threw a hand heavily onto Zach's shoulder, as Zach looked down at his feet. "Okay Coach.." He wasn't going to fight him on this, he knew he wouldn't win, picking up his backpack he headed out to the halls and out to his locker.

After the party Madison and Scarlet had hung out for a bit on the couch to sober up before driving home. Just talking about life, most of the things they wouldn't remember later. They had laid curled up on the couch, he was playing with her hair and she played with his hands. Despite the fight the rest of the night had gone really smoothly.

They spent the rest of the weekend together, doing dating like things, movies, boardwalk, sitting out on the beach even though it was too cold to swim. They sat out watching the waves, once again talking about life, but remembering their conversations this time, rather than the night of the party.

Back at school again after a long weekend, he hoped that this Monday would be a bit more normal than the last two he had lived through at Westbrook. They seemed to be known for their 'Murderess Mondays". That was something he'd have to get used to it seemed. So much hard already changed for him after 3 weeks of living in Westbrook, but he was enjoying school so much more than he had been in NC.

He gathered his stuff from his locker and made his way to homeroom, on the look out for Scarlet, Ryder, or Ash, just looking for someone to talk to before heading to class. He probably wouldn't see most of them till lunch anyways, but still he could only talk to his sister for so long. She usually became sick of hearing about his life, since they lived together and she already knew most of it. And her interverted self didn't like to talk for long periods of time.

Carter
tumblr_n9k6yqumuu1twxysvo2_250.gif

She had woken up Saturday wishing that attacking Adriane had only been a dream. She lost her temper, even if Adriane did deserve it, she shouldn't have used the party to take care of her business. It was Alaska and Ryder's birthday, and she had ruined it with her own drama. She already decided she wasn't going to school Monday, and convinced her mother to call her in sick. Faking a stomach bug was the only way to get her to let her stay home. But Jenny didn't care enough to stay home, which she made obvious when she told Carter that she better be ready to take care of herself because she had Missionary work planned for the day and wouldn't be home.

Not that Carter cared, she just wanted to lay in bed all day, wanting to disappear from the world. Pulling the covers up around her head she regretted every thing, she was sure that Mason hated her now. She was sure Adriane had come up with some lie that made Carter look bad, and now she looked like the bad guy.

Sawyer

CarefulDisgustingEarthworm-small.gif
Sawyer's weekend had been relatively good. Minus the incident with Natalie, the Vaughn's party had been pretty damn fun, for her at least. She was fairly certain it had not been so good for some people. Rumors of a fight had already started to hit Twitter, which wasn't really a surprise considering where they went to school, but was tiring none the less. Oliver had been rather receptive of her choice to crash at Alaska's after the party when she called him, and he hadn't even mentioned Grace which she found surprising. When she'd eventually gotten home her dad had seemed a bit excited and he lead her to the garage, which had been previously been a complete mess, but when he opened the door this time Sawyer was met with a very cleaned out garage. The gym equipment they had bought what seemed like a century ago was situated around the garage, ready for use. Sawyer had been surprised when her dad said he'd been working on it for a while and that he wanted to start working out like he did when she was younger.

"Maybe you can help me out, or something." He'd scratched the back of his head and looked down at the floor as he said his next words, "I think...I think I'd like to get back into the dating scene. If that's okay with you that is." Sawyer had simply laughed and clapped her hand on her dad's shoulder.

"Of course it is. You go get 'em, tiger."

The rest of Sawyer's weekend had been spent becoming her dad's trainer and using their new home gym herself. That thing would probably come in handy, Sawyer was one of those people that liked to work off her stress when she was mad and having a punching bag and equipment at home was definitely a good thing. Sawyer was proud of her dad for having the initiative to get back into shape and put himself back put there. He was a good guy and any middle aged woman would be lucky to have him, of course, he also came with Sawyer so the lucky lady would have to get used to that. But Sawyer didn't think she was too hard to get used to.

When Sawyer arrived at school the next morning she swung by her locker and then glanced down the hall and was suddenly reminded of something. She hadn't talked to her best friend in a hot second and she definitely felt like she needed to with everything that's been going on. When she pulled her phone put and sent a text to Ryan asking him to meet her at her locker she also received a text around the same time. Natalie's name stared back at her on her phone screen above a single word. 'Please'. That was all it said. Sawyer groaned but decided against saying anything back to Natalie. She simply swiped the text away and texted her girlfriend a completely random series of emojis and a good morning.

Sawyer felt bad about Natalie, she really did, but what did Natalie expect her to do? They hadn't said two words to eachother since they'd broken up and Natalie had been less than interested in her back then. Why was she so insistent on Sawyer now? No. It didn't matter. Natalie was just crazy. No reason to it. She just needed to ignore it. Sawyer leaned back against her locker and watched the other kids mull about the hallway with a concerned expression on her face that said she was definitely was not ignoring anything.

Bryan

When Coach had informed the team about the early gym meetup, Bryan had been less than enthusiastic. He was not a morning person. At all. So the whole thing he'd just gone through the motions with a sour expression on his face. After the disaster that had been his idea to attend the Vaughn's party, he just wanted to chill out for a little bit. If anything helped him calm down when he was angry about something it was JJ. Even if he'd thought about other girls more than a few times, she did help him like none of the other girls really did. Like that Lexi chick, she would just feed his fire with even stronger fuel. That's not what he needed right now, especially so close to the end of the season.

So the second he'd gotten out of the gym and took a quick shower, Bryan had made his way to his locker before rerouting himself to JJ's. JJ was the only girl Bryan had dated that his father seemed to relatively approve of. Her family was rich and in high position in the town, not to mention that she made him look good. Bryan and JJ looked good together and his dad knew that. Byron liked her and when Byron liked someone Bryan was associated with, he seemed to like Bryan a little more. Maybe...maybe Bryan should just be happy with what he had. Who was currently talking to some bum he didn't recognize. Bryan drew his eyebrows as he got closer and came to a stop next to JJ with a smile.

"Good morning, beautiful." He turned his attention to the guy in front of them, "Who's this? What's up, man?"

Casper Ollila

Watching Neck Tie stir his mashed potatoes just made Casper feel worse, even if he said it was okay. He nibbled his lip as Neck Tie continued talking, nodding a bit as he said it was stupid- not necessarily because he agreed, but because he understood, in a way, how it felt to be upset over stupid things.

Casper tried to smile back, nodding as Neck Tie spoke again. He didn’t fake his eyes widening as he discussed his dad cutting his finger. Despite himself, he asked, “Is he okay?”

Eating slowly, Casper watched Neck Tie wiggle around. His coleslaw was almost done when Neck Tie offered him the lollipops, and he nibbled his lip, thinking. He could take the lollipop, and it was being offered to him, but… But what? And he did really like lemon… So he took the lemon lollipop, smiling to himself as Neck Tie started on his.

He put it in his pocket, costume currently draped over the seat, and nibbled on the rest of his food. He couldn’t help a grin as Neck Tie mentioned enjoying trick or treating. “Me too!” Then, the first part of the statement clicked, and though he didn’t say anything, he tried to imagine what a life without trick or treating might look like.

Soon, the pair was done eating, and Casper put back on his costume, still feeling a bit blah. Once they were finished trick or treating, Casper walked home, meeting Aaron along the way, who seemed to only want to ramble about how their had been a fight of some sort between two redheads, and then went to bed.

The weekend was uneventful for Casper, more of the usual locking himself in his room and drawing, coming out only for dinner and the restroom.

He hoped to continue the trend of uneventfulness Monday, getting dressed in something cute but not too eye-drawing- jeans and a light pink cardigan over a white shirt- before eating breakfast and getting in his mom’s car and driving to school. On the way, he caught sight of himself in her mirror- and quickly looked away. He didn’t look like he should, and it was embarrassing- something he wanted to forget.

Immediately upon arrival, he headed to his locker, getting what he needed and storing the rest, pressing as close to the locker as he could.

Aaron Ollila

Eventually, however, it got late, and despite catching sight of some earlier excitement, Aaron couldn’t really be bothered to stay, especially when he knew Casper would be waiting on him, so he left and started walking home, taking off his ears as he went with a sigh. He was a bit tipsy, but he didn’t mind when he met up with Casper, just kind of talking about whatever came to mind, leaning on Casper a bit, content.

He snuck out a couple of times that weekend, but he didn’t get caught, so everything was golden.

The morning of school was normal, and he was quiet for the ride to school, toying with his sweater a bit.

He got out of the car when they arrived without so much as a goodbye to his mother, heading inside and pushing through like the angry short guy he was before reaching his locker and quickly getting out his books.

Juliette’s smirk turned into a smile, interesting how he knew she’d reject him. He wasn’t exactly wrong, but it might be nice to be wined and dined Bryan hasn’t done that for her in a while, or now that she thinks about it.. he’d never done that for her ever to begin with. But that didn’t matter.. eying the hobo with curiosity before she could’ve said anything to reply to him, Bryan had come up to them and JJ’s mood and smile instantly brightened, Almost forgetting about the boy next to them. “Good morning.” Raising a brow towards the hot homeless boy, realizing she didn’t know his name. “Hm. Good question.”

“I’m JJ, this is my boyfriend Bryan. And.. you are?” Putting a hand on Bryan’s shoulder, maybe the hobo would realize she wouldn’t be up for anything if she had a boyfriend.

Grace’s week had been going perfectly fine, everything with her family was good, Sawyer. She’s even back on her meds, everything was peachy. Except for that one nagging memory in the back of her head, yes. Grace was drunk at the party, but she could’ve sworn it was Ryder, it had to be. Who else had that specific devil costume? That was the only thing that had been on her mind, Grace was a little upset, how is she even supposed to tell Ash yet another boyfriend was a lying cheater? Okay, so maybe she’s more than a little upset.

Her phone had brought her out of her angry thoughts when she’d heard it buzz, smiling at the random messages from Sawyer, and sending a quick text back. Not bothering to look up from her phone might’ve been a mistake, colliding with someone. Grace steadied herself and them by placing her hands on their shoulders. “Sorry.” Looking up to see Natalie, who.. seemed sad. “You okay?” Truthfully, Grace hadn’t spoke to her since homecoming, and she wondered why she was being difficult to deal with. Natalie just nodded. “I’m fine.” And quickly moved herself away from Grace and walked away.

She didn’t seem fine, but if Natalie didn’t want to talk to Grace about it.. what could she do? Well.. maybe she could— no, one crisis at a time. Right. Need to talk to Ash. Grace found her at her locker. An uneasy smile plastered on her face, it was likely she’d know something was wrong. “Hey..” Her eyes roamed around the hallways and the passerbys before speaking again. “So how’s your day going?” Yes. Because awkward Grace would make this situation better.

~ Ethan Fairchild ~

Ethan was content to just stay near this pretty girl all day but all good things must come to an end and what he assumed to be, which was also confirmed by Juliet, her boyfriend. He was a stout big guy, football player, Ethan wanted to roll his eyes so far in his head that they shot back into outer space then swung past Jupiter on their way out of the solar system. “How typical.” He could’ve taken the high road, there was always an opportunity to take the high road but Ethan Fairchild didn’t get where he was by taking the high road, he was too dirty for that noise. “I mean I guess he’s a looker babe but does he got the hardware to get the job done? Does he do regular maintaince to keep it all running smooth.” He was crass and a blunt jackass, “Gimme a holler if you need something extra.” He tossed a suggestive wink her way then looked at Bryan, “No hard feelings bud, I just love women to much to stop.” He gave Bryan a rough pat on the shoulder then turned to saunter off, shoving his hands in his pockets.

Ryan had spent the night with Hajar. Smiling having fun with all the money they had. He liked having it, he could do so much with what he had. The rest of their weekend was spent together. They divided the money between between the five. When monday came Ryan was ready for a couple of days having fun in school. Big parties always had drama afterword. He walked into school with a smile on his face.He couldn't wait to hear it all. It would give him stories to write for the paper.

His phone went off. It was a text from Sawyer. He was still mad at her for the bus ride. She took Ash's side on their arguement. He walked for a second before looking for Sawyer. He found her on his walk. He strode up to her. "Talk." He only said one word. His tone was a bit angry and tired. If she wanted to speak this was her chance. If she didn't then he was going to leave her.

Sawyer looked up from her phone when she heard the sound of someone walking up to her. She was greeted with the sight of Ryan, but he didn't seem particularly happy with her. If he wasn't happy then she had no idea why....unless he was mad about her trying to break up him and Ash at the college trip thing? He had seemed pretty pissed about that. God damnit. Okay now she had to try and fix that. This day was starting out absolutely great. Sawyer hated Mondays.

"Um..so like, are you mad at me about the bus thing?" Sawyer scratched the back of her neck awkwardly and scuffed her shoe on the floor, "Cause I was just trying to calm both of you down. Ash was asking questions she shouldn't have been, but you guys were getting pretty heated." She frowned and shoved her hands in her pockets, "Look I'm sorry if you thought I was trying to tell you that you were wrong or whatever, because that was so not my objective." Sawyer had never been any good af talking about this kind of stuff but she was trying.

"Can we please just be chill again? I miss hanging out with you. It'd be cool to get to know Hajar and stuff."

Okay. So the hobo was an ass. All Bryan had done was say hi to his girlfriend and ask who he was and now he was being attacked. Bryan raised his eyebrows as this guy spoke, having to audacity to insult his 'hardware', before turning and walking off. The blonde boy was honestly surprised that someone would just do that. It didn't bother him in the least though. Bryan knew very well that his 'harware' was just fine, and you could ask any girl he'd dated that. Besides, Bryan knew his girlfriend had standards and the hobo looking guy so did not meet those standards. Speaking of his girlfriend.

"Was he bothering you?" Bryan turned to Juliette, throwing a thumb over his shoulder, "Because that was kinda random, all I said was hi." He laughed, all thoughts he'd been having earlier about his dad or the party completely forgotten. School and JJ were his distractions and he was all settled in this morning.

Ryan had listened to her. She was sorry. He was still mad but his face loosened up. "Alright, if you're sorry about it then I can at least loosen up a little." He said before leaning against a wall. "I think Hajar wouldn't mind hanging out with you. Maybe even Grace if you wanna bring her." He said letting out a sigh. "So what's up kid? Another lover's quarrel? Got a problem you need me to fix?" He asked looking at her blankly. He would help her, he had pormised that a long time ago when they became best friends.

Sawyer was glad that Ryan seemed to want to let her off the hook for now. A hook she hadn't known she was on until he came up to her all mad, but same difference. Either way she was happy to be talking to him again. His offer about Grace coming along with them had her smiling a little. She wondered what Grace would think, she doubted people like Hajar and Grace would ever said a word to eachother if it weren't for her and Ryan. It would be interesting, she made a mental note to ask Grace about it later. Right now she just needed to vent about Natalie.

"Okay, so listen, Natalie is being hella weird." Sawyer rolled her eyes, "Like she always is. But get this, the other night at Alaska and Ryder's party she fucking told me..." She glanced around to make sure no one was paying any particular interest to them before continuing in a lower voice, "She told me she was pregnant, with a guy that graduated last years baby. Oh, and she was the one spreading those rumors about Grace and you." Sawyer sighed and rocked back on her heels, shoving her hands in her pockets.

"She was trying to get me to help her or something and I don't know what I'm gonna do."

Juliette scoffed at hobo's ego. She didn't even know his name and she was perfectly fine with that. Narrowing her eyes at him, he shouldn't of insulted her boyfriend. Especially when he looks.. like that. Oh well, he tried. Not bothering to reply to him, she turned back to Bryan with a grin. "Bothering, me? No." At least he wasn't until he started being a jackass. A random boy with a t-shirt she could only imagine what used to be white before it was yellow, it safe to say he was the least of her worries. "He was harmlessly flirting, at least.. he was trying to. But.. i mean.. c'mon. Babe." Juliette let out the smallest laugh and rolled her eyes, as if she'd ever quit Bryan for him.

"Don't listen to him, what would he know about hardware? or whatever. He probably doesn't even know what a shower is." Giving a small shrug. Pulling out her phone and scrolling through twitter, making a quick tweet before getting reminded of something. She looked up to Bryan. "How was the demon twins' birthday party? I saw you went as cupid." Truthfully, JJ didn't know the twins well enough to say so, but.. they were probably the most problematic people she'd ever seen. So, naturally. She decided to not like them until she had a reason otherwise. Juliette lifted the phone and waved it slightly, indicating she'd seen pictures online. "I can truthfully say you've struck my heart with an arrow." JJ put a hand to her chest and pretended to swoon.

Maisie

Maisie went home after trick or treating with Drake, it was a great night all in all. She didn't need alcohol, the haul of candy was more than enough to keep her sugar drunk for days, even though she bailed on Rowan and everyone else. She was still in shock that Hajar had even given her the money anyway, it was extremely nice of the scary girl. It felt good to have money saved away, just in-case if something ever went south enough and she'd have to.. leave for whatever reason, well. Maisie was more than glad to have the opportunity to do so. This school was confusing to say the least, she still found herself getting lost in the hallways. But she was okay with roaming around the halls. Dropping her books to the floor because... well.. She's Maisie. Looking down at the books before sighing, raising her hand to put the lollipop in her mouth, so she could have free hands.

Bending down onto the floor and picking up the books, looking up to see Hajar leaning against a locker. Maisie hesitated before coming to a decision, keeping the books tightly against her chest, hoping she wouldn't be clumsy enough to drop them again, and approached Hajar. Realizing that she should probably take the candy out of her mouth. Pulling out the lollipop, and greeting her with a nod. "Um, hey." Unsure why she wanted to talk to her in the first place, okay. No that's a lie, she still felt guilty about it all. So, she came to apologize. So.. um.. what are is she waiting for? Oh. Yeah. Right, right. "So, i'm uh.. really sorry. That i like.. ditched you guys, and i really.. didn't deserve the money.." She trailed off, before giving her a weak smile. "But.. thank you."

Her mind was wandering around and swirling as she leaned against the lockers, watching swarms of people buzz through the hall, some in groups or pairs or some all alone like her, Hajar liked to just watch though. She was content to just watch people, like a wolf that stood on the fringes of the dark forest with prowling eyes, fur bristling against a chilly wind. Her daydream of wolves, something that was slowly becoming her spirit animal, was interrupted when she heard a small voice and Maisie materialized in front of her. She stayed silent as she listened to her speak, "Listen Maze..." Hajar stood a little straighter and balanced herself on her feet, a genuine smile crept across her lips and made her dark face warm up. "I never had a childhood, I really didn't have shit growing up until I got to.. well my own foster home with my brothers and stuff." Her mind flashed through memories, happy ones filled with birthday dinners and Christmas and summer parties, "I see you in me, we're one in the same ya know. I won't get mad at you for being a kid cause just like me, I never got to be a kid either..." Her hand rested on Maisie's shoulder, giving her a squeeze, "Be a kid as much as you can, I don't think I'll ever get to be a kid again with the stuff I do." Her voice was soft, she had to be careful even when she spoke with someone she trusted.

So she'd originally planned on just wandering around until classes started, but as she was walking, she caught of Zach exiting some kind of sport thing. Heck if she knew. Ava stayed as far away from the athletics side of school as she typically could, except for mandatory gym. Which, for the record, she was failing.

However, her other grades were impeccable, which was probably why Principal Nona had asked her to tutor a certain someone. Now, yes, Ava hated everyone and would've been annoyed about this no matter what, but she'd agreed to tutoring originally because it would look good on college transcripts. But she hadn't expected to have to tutor, of all people, Zach. For as long as she could remember (okay, so maybe she was being over dramatic), that pompous jerk had set out to make her life hell. There had never been a nice word exchanged between the two, and she wasn't even sure what started the feud, except that it continued to this day and would continue long after high school. And yet, she was stuck having to basically babysit him.

"Hey, bonehead," she said, stopping in front of him and looking up as she did so. "So listen, when the hell do you want to do the stupid tutoring?" Since, well, she was completely free. All the time. Forever.

For the most part, Ash's weekend had been fine after the whole incident at Ryder's party. She'd even managed to salvage the night and have an amazing time with him when he found her later. Maybe she just needed to, like, accept the fact that punching and violence would be the part of every date they'd ever had. Well, it would probably be worth it. So far, Ash had never been happier than she now was with Ryder, so yeah, she could handle some violence.

When Grace came up, the smile on Ash's face quickly faded. "Umm... I'm doing great," she said slowly, eyeing Grace suspiciously. "Are you alright?" The suspicion was soon replaced by worry as Ash slowly closed her locker and then leaned against it, looking at her friend with worry. "Seriously. What's up?"

Bryan leaned against the lockers and watched his girlfriend as she went through her phone. He smiled a little, she always knew how to make him laugh. But in all seriousness he doubted the hobo guy actually knew what a shower was. Lots of people these days seemed to skip out on the personal hygiene part of their days. Bryan himself actually kept on top of things like that. He brushed his teeth every morning and night like a civilised human being and also washed his face. His dad had always been a stickler for keeping oneself in tip top condition so Bryan just followed that. Suddenly, JJ was asking him about the twins' party and Bryan found himself regretting even attending the thing in the first place. Flashes of blonde hair and darkness pulsed across his vision. Bryan shook his head.

"Um...it was was kinda stupid." He shrugged, his smile returning, "I'm sorry I didn't tell you I was going. You could've been Aphrodite or something." Bryan ran a hand through his hair and shot a wink at JJ, pushing off the locker to place a kiss on her cheek.

"Maybe if you were there I could've avoided being punched for like the five bazillionth time."

Her smile grew as Hajar continued, they were more alike then she thought. And suddenly she wasn't so scary anymore, Hajar was being sweet and polite. And it almost seemed out of character but it didn't at the same time, maybe Hajar just needed someone to be vulnerable with, at least just enough to show her true self. Maisie nodded, taking her advice to heart. This time she didn't flinch when someone put a hand on her because Hajar's voice was soft and genuinely comforting. Although Maisie slowly raised up her own hand to remove Hajar's from her shoulder, throwing her an apologetic glance.

"I uh.. don't like.. um.." Maisie trailed off and just left it at that. It was safe to say she was slowly starting to trust Hajar, but she still wasn't okay with someone else in her personal space just yet. Deciding to change the subject entirely. "So.. you were a foster kid too. It's nice that you have brothers.. I don't have siblings, but i'm sure they're really to have!" She nodded, and frowned when Hajar said she didn't have a childhood. Suddenly Maisie perked up, getting an idea. "Maybe next year we can go trick or treating.. together?" Hajar seemed like someone Maisie wanted to get to know. She didn't have a lot of people that she could relate to.

Grace avoided eye-contact from Ash, great. Perfect. Of course she realized something was wrong, no Grace isn't alright, because Grace is almost sure that she won't be alright from this news. Okay, okay. Just gotta rip the bandaid off. Okay. Grace took a deep breath and leaned against the locker, finally meeting Ash's eyes with her own. "I could be wrong." There was a chance yes, but however that chance seemed very slim at the moment. She lowered her voice just in-case anyone overheard the two speaking.

"I was drunk, okay? like.. pretty drunk." Making sure she clarified that before she continued. "I'm.. pretty sure..like.. really sure.." Oh she hated this. She hated this so much. "..that i saw Ryder with another girl." Grace fiddled with her hands while continuing. "At the birthday party, he was.. kissing some other girl." She bit her lip, afraid of Ash's reaction. "I don't know who she is, though."

Juliette gave an approvable nod, glad at the fact he'd apologized about not telling her. She was upset.. but she could only stay upset for so long. They were the perfect couple, how could she be mad at him? She shrugged. Of course the party sucked. She wasn't there to make it a real one. Oh well.. their loss. Smiling brighter when he'd kissed her. "It's fine, i had to go to some dumb thing with my parents." Juliette wasn't one to talk about her family, almost never. It just seemed stupid to complain to someone about, but why would she complain? There was no-reason to. She was WestBrook's own golden girl. JJ had free-rein to do whatever she wanted with who she wanted.

At least if it wasn't in-front of cameras. Granted, her parents actually liked Bryan because well.. it looked good for them. But Juliette wasn't dating him for them, for all she cared they could just stay at their stupid charity parties. Despite hating the fact that they make her show up once in a while and they snap a few pictures, it wasn't that bad. They were the picture perfect family.. after all. Not being as dumb witted as everyone else who believed it. Juliette was convinced it was only because her father was the mayor, looks can be very deceiving. 'He can't be seen with his family not there to support him.' God, her mother was annoying. Juliette rolled her eyes at Bryan's comment. She shook her head in disappointment. She wasn't particularly interested in having a punching bag for a boyfriend. "What did you do?" Realizing that maybe this time maybe it wasn't him that did something. "Sorry.. what happened?" JJ asked, putting a hand under his chin and tilting his face from side to side, searching for a sign of any bruises. Sure, it must've been a real ego hitter that Bryan had gotten hit by a girl a little while go, maybe this time it was a guy?

Raven could safely say she was doing better, the past few weeks had been filled with parties, alcohol. boys, girls. It might not be the best way to cope with whatever she's dealing with, but.. it was working nonetheless. Maybe she'll actually decide to get back into newspaper, Brooke had given her some kind of perspective on things. Okay, well. She didn't really say much about it. But the fact that Brooke kind of had her life together made Raven almost envious of the pretty blonde, Raven's whole thing was to work hard for what she wanted. Hell, if she wanted a scholarship she'd get one.

Might just have to put in the work to get it. Right? However, just because she was doing better doesn't mean other people were. Her mind drifted to one she'd called Barbie, thinking about the college trip the other day. She shook her head at the thought of it. That day was a disaster. Not not particularly for Raven, so that was new. Thinking of Ash of course led to a special beanie boy, who'd been there for her not too long ago. Maybe she should.. check on him? Before Raven knew what she was doing she found herself in the music room, gently knocking on the door before making her way in. Giving the boy a gentle smile before making her way inside. "Hey music babe, what's up?"

Ash
Sad Smile.gif

Any kind of happiness that she had felt beforehand fell away, and Ash felt as if... as if nothing could go right in her life. It had been stupid of her to take a chance on Ryder -- she knew his reputation, and yet she'd still been stupid enough to try. Obviously Lexi had been right about what she had said, and now... now, well, Ash was paying the price for not listening. God. How could she be so stupid to fall for a guy like this again? This was why she should just give up on dating altogether.

"Thanks for... thanks for telling me..." Ash mumbled, choking on her words a little bit as she spoke. She wrapped her arms around herself, lowering her gaze to the ground as she thought about it. "I'm... I'm going to go talk to him... and see... what he has to say..." She gave her a very faint, very weak smile. "I'll see you later, Grace."

She then turned and headed down the hallway, her gaze still focused on the ground, and her arms wrapped around her stomach. How was she even supposed to do this?

Jace
Big Smile.gif

He'd not been himself since the whole college day trip. Music didn't have the same effect, but he still found himself inevitably drawn to it. His yellow beanie was no longer situated on his head all the time and instead, right now, was laying on the table away from him while he sorted through music for the play. Jace had been informed by his mother that she would be attending the play, which meant that everything had to be perfect. It was stressful on him, and even more stressful on Ash. At least their mother kind of cared about Jace and his feelings but one little screw up from Ash would end in endless ridicule.

Jace had been in the middle of running a hand through his now free hair, which was a little weird. His thoughtful tendency had always been to touch his beanie, but with it no longer on his head, Jace had taken to just awkwardly running a hand through his hair and causing it to not lay as flat as it used to. It was strange.

He now looked up, his hand falling away from his hair when Raven stepped in. "Oh, hey..." his eyes flickered back down to the music that he was going over, and making notes on. Mainly on the things that they needed to practice on the most. And by they, Jace mainly meant Stu. He was horrible at the keyboard, and Jace knew that his mother now knew who'd taught Stu, which meant that he needed to be perfect. "Just... working on the musical. What's up with you?"

June
June rubbed her forehead with the ball of her hand as she looked down at her camera. Terrible lighting, there’s blurry people, and god, what was that angle? She was out of it today if she took photos like these and it was most likely due to the party. She liked Alaska, but everything about it made her feel horrible. Unfornately that is another party that made it to her long list of unfavorable parties.

She was trying to take pictures of different morning activities for a classmate. They said they would do it. Teacher told her that they can’t. So off with the camera she went. She didn’t want to tell any of them no. She found herself not even saying no to anything at all because of her ever growing fear of hurting another person. If you help someone you can’t hurt them right? She hoped that was the case as she raised her camera again and took a picture. Once she was satisfied, she walked back into the hall and scrolled through the list of morning activities. She hated this. Anything was better than doing this. But she found, she didn’t even know what was better. Then, what did she actually want to do? Her eyes slowly rose up to look at her locker. Her eyes fell to the one besides it and remembered when Raven would come up besides her and lean against the locker. If not her it was Mason. Then it would be the three of them.

No, she can’t have that anymore. She should only look at that locker as it is. A locker. It shouldn’t be anything more. She looked back down at the viewfinder again, her head hanging a little lower than before.

Raven's smile faded almost immediately when she saw the beanie, or more importantly. Didn't see that stupid hat on his head for once. It bothered her to see him.. she doesn't know, to see him.. not himself? Deciding to not comment on it, she walked over to the piano and traced her fingers along the keys. His mother was a bitch. And that was the simplest way to put it. Maybe they had that in common? Nodding at the mention of the musical, almost forgetting about that. "Oh. Y'know, just... working on nothing.." She gave a sheepish smile. It was the truth. Raven hasn't been doing anything productive. She couldn't exactly say her time has been spent elsewhere. Well.. she could. But rather not give the depressed boy ideas of how to cope with sadness. Moving away from the piano and taking a seat next to him. "Thought I'd check on my favorite guy." Leaning over to see what he was writing "Ah. Yes. Music." Raising her eyebrows. She nodded slightly as if knowing what he was doing. "Okay, no. All wrong." Taking the sheet and the pen from him.

"Here in music room.. it seems like I share all my secrets with you," Raven told him keeping her gaze on the paper in front of her. As she quickly jotted something down. She didn't do anything spectacular with the notes, just changing a few things. She handed it back to him, proud of her own adjustments. "I'm not a pro, what-so-ever. But my grandmother made me take lessons as if I'd become the next Beethoven." Chuckling at her own words. Her laughter died down, and turned more serious, narrowing her eyes at the once-beanie boy. "What's up with you? This is child's play compared to your skills." Grabbing the paper from him again and playfully hitting him on the head with it. The first step to solving sadness is.. admitting your problem or whatever. Yeah. She had no idea what she was doing, not in the least bit. He was the one who does the cheering up. Not her.

Grace watched her carefully, and her heart broke in half. Ryder was a fucking bitch. Grace wasn't one to hate someone, but.. come on. Who wouldn't hate him at this point. She reached out to Ash before she turned around and walked away, she sighed heavily and leaned back again on the locker hitting her head gently on the locker beneath her, she closed her eyes and shook her head. She was glad that she found out, but.. why did she have to break the news to her. A flash made her open her eyes, turning her head to see June taking pictures next to her. "Hey." Giving her a weak smile in greeting.

Her relationship with June was getting better, and Grace was happy with that. After all they live literally like 50 feet apart from each-other, so.. the whole situation with her mother, and June's father was just.. okay, it was still weird. But.. David wasn't all that bad of a guy, and her mom was... getting better maybe? The point was, they weren't like a family or anything, but.. slowly becoming one? The thought made Grace furrow her brows, hard to imagine it happening in the first place. Never say never right? "I mean.. mondays are terrible. But taking pictures of a locker must seem a bit boring to you.. no?" She teased.

June
June didn’t even notice Grace was there. Clearly she might be in her head too much. She dropped her camera and let it bounce a little, the strap pulling on her neck at the weight. “Oh hey.” She said at first when she approached her then paused as she realized she did just take a picture of the locker. She laughed a little to nervously as she lifted the camera to delete the picture. “Yeah, lockers aren’t as visually interesting as they seem in the movies huh?” She deleted the picture and looked up at Grace. “So, are you... doing okay?” She saw that Grace looked upset. No amount of words could hide sadness, and she knew this herself. “What’s up? Did something happen at the party? Do you even want to talk about it?”

Grace chuckled and nodded at her words. Taken aback for a second when she asked if she was okay, she should be the one asking her, June didn't look as.. um.. finger-gunish as she usually is. Grace gave her a thumbs up for an answer, and put her hand down when she mentioned the party, and the rapid questions she threw at her. Grace shook her head, mildly amused. "It was just.. dumb stuff." She waved a hand away, This whole Ryder thing was so unnecessary. "Pretty sure i saw my best friend's boyfriend with another girl. So.. it kinda sucks that i had to be the one to break it to her. But you know.. i'm good." She wasn't good, Ash was hurting and Grace kind of felt at fault for the whole thing. But there wasn't much she could do, if Ash didn't want to talk to her. Grace shrugged. Staring at her for a few moments in silence before deciding she should just ask the question she wanted to know. "What about you?" June was nice enough to ask her, and she hadn't seemed like herself. "Are you okay?"

Aaron Ollila

Aaron got his books, went to class, and then was hit with the realization that class didn't start for... a while. Well, fuck. He sighed, and decided he may as well head back outside and enjoy the weather or whatever while he could. He didn't like the cold, and especially didn't like the snow, which could be expected by the end of the next month. As he exited the building, he found himself automatically going somewhere out of sight. It was a general rule of his to avoid being seen unless he wanted it, and he wasn't about to have some stranger walk up to him when it could be avoided by the stranger not noticing him in the first place. Who knew when a stranger walking up to him would result in a fight. This was Westbrook, and he still might be on someone's shit list.

He picked his way through the few areas he had managed to somewhat find enjoyable, if anything involving school could be called enjoyable. However, he was thrown off when he spotted someone else nearby. He blinked, and while annoyed by this guy's presence, decided he could just find somewhere else to hang out. And then he saw the guy had a joint, and figuring that smoking weed was a good second choice to getting drunk, he stepped closer.

"Mind if I join you?" he said, in that usual way that seemed to carry, voice a bit deeper than one would expect by looking at him.

Zach
tumblr_inline_nns4quPILE1sccn28_500.gif

He was already annoyed enough by the idea of having to spend time with Ava, and after having to get up extra early for conditioning he was already in a bad mood. When he had to run into Ava within moments of the news being dropped on him. He rolled his eyes, and took a step towards her. "Oh Mary" He looked her up and down. "How about, you just tell Nona that you are tutoring me." He ran a hand through his wet hair. "Neither of us want to have to deal with each other more than we have to already." He gave her a smirk.

They didn't get along, they never had. Zach knew he didn't need the lessons, but Coach was forcing him to get his grades up. For his own benefit obviously. They were already down most of their star players for the season, he couldn't loose another.

Mads was walking through the halls, trying to make his way to homeroom when he saw Ash walking like she was on a mission, but a little disoriented. He quickened his step to catch up to her. "Hey! How are you?" He smiled slowing down and matching her pace. "We missed you at the rest of Ryder's party. Wish you would of stayed longer, maybe we could of finished our game." He laughed lightly, but realized quickly something was wrong. It wasn't just a normal Monday disorientation, she seemed down. He stopped walking and put a hand on Ash's shoulder to stop her. "Hey? Whats wrong?" He gave her shoulder a squeeze and tried to meet her eyes. "Ash? Whats wrong." He dropped his hand from her shoulder. "I'll sit on the ground if that gets you to look at me." He tried to laugh again and brighten the mood, but it didn't seem to help much.

She'd barely even heard Mads' voice and, well, Ash really didn't want to stop and talk to him. All that she wanted to do was find Ryder, ask him what the hell Grace was talking about, and then... well, she didn't really know what to do after that. She wanted to think that it wasn't the truth, that Grace really had mistaken him, but it was a costume party, which meant it would've been hard to mistaken him for someone else in a costume. And, well, why would Grace lie to her?

"Look." She finally snapped, and glared up at Mads. Ash was definitely struggling to keep it together at this point, and was on the verge of tears as she shrugged away from his hand. "Grace just told me that she saw Ryder kissing another girl. And like, obviously I shouldn't be surprised because Ryder is a player, so duh, and I mean, why wouldn't he fucking cheat on me? My fucking mother doesn't want me, so why would he?" Okay, okay, too much information, and Ash had to take in a deep breath to steady herself.

"I'm just trying to find Ryder. That's it."

She nodded her head in fake agreement, plastering on a fake smile, while he spoke until finally, she couldn't keep it up. The fake smile and the nod fell away, and Ava just glared at him. "No because then you'll continue to be a dumb ass, have bad grades, get kicked off the football team, and here's the really sucky part: I won't be able to put down 'tutored asshole jocks' on my college transcript." Yeah, she might've hated Zach, but if it was a good thing to do for college, well...

"All you have to do are get your grades up enough that the coach doesn't kick you off, and then we can stop talking." That seemed simple enough, right? Well... okay, maybe not. But Ava needed this to work out. "I know this is all probably a lot for you to handle. Do you need me to break it down for you to follow?"

Drake
Awkward.gif

The weekend had sucked for Drake. Adriane and Mason had gotten in a fight, so they'd had to go back home. Their mother had been kind of sober for once, which had turned into another fight between Mason and her. Drake had taken Ariana into their bedroom, where the two of them would hide under the blankets on his bed and pretend that they were somewhere else. However, he'd held onto the little bit of happiness he'd felt with Maisie and that had, well, helped somewhat.

Now, he'd been hiding out in a corner of the building outside that staff never went to. A lot of kids usually smoked out here, and Drake was no exception. It was crazy that the staff hadn't figured this spot out yet as he closed his eyes and leaned his head back against the wall, the joint dangling from his fingers as he did so. It was... refreshing, as if he was washing away all of his worries and just leaving behind pure and utter happiness.

His eyes opened back up as he heard someone talking to him, and he looked at a kid that he didn't recognize. "Hey, knock yourself out." He said with a lazy smile, and held the joint out towards the boy. "I'm Drake."

Jace
Big Smile.gif

Okay, so he was surprised when Raven took his pencil and the sheet of music and added some actually fairly helpful notes. Huh. He'd never pegged her for the music type. And then, well, Jace was even more surprised when she asked how he was. Yet again, he was flustered for what to say, and he found himself reaching for that damn yellow beanie. Despite what it stood for -- a mother that had promised she would come back for him, not some stupid British freshman -- he still felt like he couldn't part with it. Slowly, he pulled the beanie back on his head, and it was as if all his anxiety flowed away... kind of.

"You should've helped us with the music, but you'll do great as Rizzo, too." Jace said, looking down at the table and a few sheets of music that were currently untouched. Anywhere but Raven's face, as if that would protect him from her questions. But... well, he couldn't avoid what she was asking forever. "I'm fine. No secrets here. Just... working on the music and making sure that Stu and I have it perfect." Yeah, mistakes would be easier to notice with a two-man band, but it was what it was. Too late at this point to bring in someone else last minute. "And that is it. Yep. I am an open book. Just... music."
