Drake
Lil Shirt Puff.gif

Well so far, this new friendship with Maisie was off to a really awkward start with them now discussing their sexuality. Welp. No one ever said it was easy making friends, or that conversations weren't awkward, or-- ... actually, Drake was fairly certain no one said any of those things. But hey, whatever, Maisie seemed to like him and she was so nice and sweet. It was strange to meet someone who actually seemed like a decent person as opposed to, well, most other people in this school.

Once Maisie said the magic words, Drake put on his best old lady impression. "Oh my goodness," he said, and started dumping his candy into her bag. "Aren't you just the cutest little thing ever? Here, here, here. You take all this candy." His old lady voice was on point and yes, he was proud of it, as he finished pouring the candy into her bag and then pulled away his now empty tote bag and dropped the whole lady act. Drake already had plenty of candy from when he'd used Ariana for trick or treating in town for some little kid stuff, plus this was Maisie's first time, and he wanted to make sure she had the best haul.

Maisie
tumblr_pjnoiyvGzy1uz4mb8o7_r1_250.gif
Maisie’s unsure grin turned into a wide smile, tonight was probably the night where she had countless small moments of happiness and that was shocking to her, raising her eyebrows in surprise when he’d dumped all the contents in her own bag, it didn’t seem fair to her. But the fact that he did meant he cared, and Maisie had never went trick or tricking, no. But someone being this sweet to her, she’d be lying if she said she hated it. Shaking her head and laughing at his old lady impression.

It was a pretty good one if she said so herself. Her smile died down a little as she stared at him. “You didn’t have to do that.” It was true, he didn’t have to. It was just the fact that he wanted to that meant a lot to Maisie, sure it was just candy. But it was much more than that. Admiring him for a few moments before shaking her head, attempting to shake the thoughts off. “That impression though.. wow. I’ll.. give you a nine out of ten.”

Her smile returned and she tilted her head began to make her way towards the party, while she continued. “Only because you don’t have a denture dazzling smile to go with it.” Once they reached the door of the mansion, the door was closed but you could still hear the music behind it, and the people chatting and yelling over probably the most dumbest things.

She sighed looking at the door and back to him. “Thank you. It.. uh.. It really meant a lot to me.” Deciding to admit to her recurring thoughts, and referred to this whole night. even though she thanked him earlier. She didn’t care. Maisie hesitated for a moment before leaning over and placing her lips against his cheek, staying there for a second before pulling away, chuckling at her own words before she said them. “You were.. sweeter than the candy tonight.” Yes, she was proud of her tiny joke. Leave her alone.

Sawyer
Sawyer tried to keep up as Grace spat a barrage of words rather quickly at her. The slight slur in her voice didn't hell anything but Sawyer had caught the gist of what she was trying to tell her. Something about how Grace had seen, or thought she saw, Ryder kissing someone that wasn't Ash. This information kind of made Sawyer mad but she wasn't going to go on a rampage until they were sure that it was even Ryder. This place was confusing as hell sober and Grace was fairly drunk by the looks of it so it totally could have been her eyes playing tricks on her. Sawyer frowned when Grace leaned her head her shoulder lamenting about how she was supposed to tell Ash. Her frown turned into a slight laugh when Grace complained about how parties sucked.

"Tell me about it." She kind of dreaded parties but she found herself going to them more as of late because it seemed that Grace liked them, which she had no quarrels about. Sawyer ran a hand comfortingly through Grace's hair a few times before speaking again. "Don't worry too much. You're drunk, you could've just seen someone who looked like Ryder and gotten confused. We're supposed to be having fun, you can worry about this on Monday and we'll figure this all out then, okay?" Sawyer lifted Grace's hand and massaged the spot just below her thumb with her thumb and forefinger to help soothe any headache Grace might have. A subconscious action that was derived from her father doing that to her when she had headaches when she was younger.

"Or do you want me to help you find her right now? Cause I'll do that too." She dropped Grace's hand and switched to the other one, "But you need to be sure it was him if you're just going to rush in there right now and tell her."

Charolette had smiled as the said she shouldjoin. She had never really drank before, being that the staff would watch over her and make sure she hadn't had anything and her classmates at her old school were wet blankets. They were a kill joy, but these people seemed kinda fun. "I would be delighted to join." She said before the blonde had gotten closer to the devil. Oh, was he her boyfriend. Hmmm, maybe brother, but that would be weird as to why she'sgetting closer. Hmmmm, yeah they had to be a couple.

She looked at the group. Two guys, two girls. Yeah those were couples. Great, she was gonna be a tag along. "Fuck it.." She had thought. This was her first actual party. She reached down for her card. She closed her eyes. "Fire." She had turned it over. The smoke blew high that night as her card was a club. In truth she was happy. This was her first bit of alcohol in her life. She poured herself a bit of a big shot before downing the whole thing.

FIRE...

She felt a burn running down her throat. She coughed a little. "Now that is something else." She said with a smile. "I'm Charolette by the way. Sorry if I intruded on your game. I'm new to this school, so I don't really know that many people. All I know is my cousin." She said looking at the other people she was playing. "So why not get to know people while getting inebriated." She said with a smile.

Grace sighed into her shoulder while she comforted her, listening as best as she could Sawyer was right, she lifted her head opening her eyes slowly to see her watching her lips as she spoke. “Okay.” Grace gave her a weak smile, and shook her head at the idea of finding Ash now, being drunk isn’t going to help that conversation, she could gather her thoughts and find out if it was actually him when she was sober. Before she said anything to Ash.

“No, no. You.. are right.” Her smile widened while picked up her other hand and started doing.. whatever she was doing with her hands, not all there at the moment to understand what exactly it was, but it was relaxing. “Sorry, sorry. We’re supposed to be having fun.” Grace put a hand to her mouth covering a yawn, she didn’t want to be rude. After all she was the one who always insisted on the parties. Narrowing her eyes at her, looking at her intently as if she was trying to figure out how’d she gotten so lucky that she had such an amazing girlfriend.

“What’s the first step to fun, hmm?

Casper Ollila

Casper thanked Neck Tie as he held the door for him, the feeling of eyes making him wish he could just melt away.

He followed after Neck Tie, more subdued than usual as he scratched the back of his neck. He wasn’t used to so much attention, and frankly, he didn’t like it. Was it really that weird for them to be in costume?

Casper’s nerves only grew as Neck Tie began pulling out money, trying his best to keep count as coins were added and ultimately failing. When it turned out the pair was 50c short, Casper nearly began to cry, and he was thankful for the fact his face was covered. And then the cashier was covering it, and Casper gasped. He thanked the cashier, mood lifted slightly.

Sitting across from Neck Tie, Casper picked at a piece of chicken, though mostly he watched Neck Tie eat his. Casper tilted his head at the question, taking a moment to think on it.

“I don’t know,” Casper finally said, “I don’t eat out much- especially at fast food places. Omma usually cooks dinner, and we have stuff like macaroni and cheese, or Fårikål or… well, whatever Daddy wants, really…” He thought some more on it. “Sometimes,” he said, voice a whisper, “when Daddy’s out of town, we eat food Omma wants… and then we go to McDonald’s or we help her make stuff...”

They stayed quiet again until Neck Tie asked about Aaron, ruminating, and then Casper was looking at the coleslaw and mashed potatoes with interest. His gaze shuttered off, and he frowned, looking down. He was silent for a second.

“I… don’t know," he said, then mumbled, "I don't know a lot of things." He blinked, then looked up at Neck Tie, shrugging. "He always seemed to when we did it together. But… this time, I guess he decided he’d rather go out. Again.” For another second, he thought, deliberating on what he wanted to say and if he really should. Finally, carefully, Casper continued, “If my parents ask, Aaron was with us tonight.”

His Mad Hatter quotes were insanely adorable and never ceased to make Scarlet laugh. Sure, some people would think he was being nerdy, but she found it goofy and cute. Scar watched Ryder flip his card, take his shot, and then did the same as Mads flipped his card. She watched his expression change to that of a pout and she pouted, too, only to playfully mirror the look on his face. "Here." She picked up a card and set it down in front of him, right on top of the card he had just flipped over. "Fire." Fingers pinched and flicked the corner of the card she had just placed down, the card flipping over and showing a seven of spades. "There, sorry I lost for you. Looks like you have to take your shot." The corners of her hazel eyes crinkled as a smile formed on her mouth before she pulled out her own card and put it in front of her. Before she guessed, the brunette watched the newcomer take her turn and her shot, respectively. They all may as well have been taking handle pulls for the hell of it, but Scarlet wasn't about to complain.

"Smoke?" Flip. The queen of hearts, how appropriate. Scarlet laughed and tucked the card into Mads' collar. "Here, don't let her chop off my head." She took her shot, grimaced, and shook from a slight chill that ran down her back. It had been a while since she'd actually had hard liquor. She managed to gather her composure well enough to look to Charolette with smile. "I'm Scarlet, and you are definitely not intruding. I'm new, too, so it's nice to meet you."

Sawyer
With a soft smile, Sawyer started leading Grace away from the middle of a crowd. She was honestly becoming a bit clostraphobic and wanted to get away from the middle of the damn room. Somehow she managed to shove their path through the crowd and find a somewhat clear corner. Sawyer backed herself up into the corner and leaned herself up against it. Her hands ran down Grace's arms and then found themselves resting on the sides of her face. The smile on her face grew and her eyes glinted with adoration in the dark light of the house. If it were a little brighter Grace could've seen the way Sawyer's pupils dialated way beyond their normal size. Science does say your pupils dialate when looking at something you love.

"My definition of fun involves a lot less talking than most people's." She leaned in and pressed her mouth to Grace's pulse point, careful not to leave a mark as she did so, "But you should know this already. So you tell me." Sawyer pulled away and made eye contact with Grace, "What is the first step to fun?"

She listened to him while tapping the bottle. “Thanks, but I think I can handle my grades.” Was the only thing she said as she fell into silence, listening to him and trying not to say anything. She kept thinking about how Adriane isn’t going to do anything for them. She understood why he wanted everything for Ariana, she was adorable even though she looked like her terrible mother. But she hoped Mason was teaching her how to be better than her. That made her think... what was Adriane to Mason?

He question was answered as he talked about moving away from everything. The thought made her upset for a moment. Will he be okay? Will they find a place, food? Would Mason be okay doing it alone? She took a sip of her drink, her head was buzzed and her felt like it was tied into knots. She looked up at Mason sadly. “Hey, do you think we can talk about—“ She flinched as she heard screaming, she turned her head and looked around until her eyes fell on the head of two red-heads. She immediately knew who they were. She got up, putting down her drink. She ran over to the two and managed to wrap her arms around Carter. Gritting her teeth, she pulled her back and shouted at her. “Carter! Stop! You’re not going to help anything!” She yelled, as she pulled her away from Adriane.

Glad that they were away from most people and in their own bubble, putting her arms over her shoulders, and gazing at the blonde with pure affection. This was much better then doing shots or making awkward small talk with everyone else, she was content on just staying here in this corner with Sawyer, raising a brow when she'd talked about her definition of fun. Letting out a shaky exhale when she'd leaned in, It was hard to think about anything else other than Sawyer's lips on her neck. Biting her lip to suppress a moan that was threatening to escape from the small gesture.

When she'd pulled away Grace kept eye-contact with her, as if that'd help keep her mind off of other things. Although it wasn't really working as her gaze kept dropping to her lips. Being inebriated wasn't helping either, but Grace wasn't so sure it was the alcohol that was keeping her intoxicated. It took her a few seconds to answer her. While her eyes kept making hurried glances towards her lips. "I think you're following the steps accordingly." Grace told her while removing her hands from her shoulders to replace them on her waist. Placing a hand at the small of her back to pull her into a hungry kiss, tasting the sweetness on her lips from her liquor from the shots earlier. Yeah.. Grace wasn't wrong, this was so much better then small talk.

Amelia frowned at his reply. She immediately started to text him back. How can I even guess? She was going to send it until she looked at his profile picture. She clicked on it and found herself looking around his twitter page. Any movies he mentioned? Books? She started to see a lot of The Princess Bride and flinched when someone bumped into her. She closed out of the app quickly and looked around to see a familiar looking guy. As soon as he talked she frowned. Harvard. It’s the college trip guy.

“Oh hey, lost boy.” She said annoyed. She paused as she looked at his coustume. For a second the thought came to mind, could he be it? But, she remembered everything she’s heard and how he acted. Online guy would never act like that. “Hmmm. I was bored so I decided to come to this. Although, no amount of boredom makes me like the idea that I’m here and your here too. Why aren’t you feeling up a girl yet, going hard, getting pats on your back for kissing every girl you see.” She said as she leaned back against the wall and looked at Instagram instead.

It took her a minute to register what was happening, why Carter was so upset by Adriane making out with some random senior. Then she remembered that Mason was desperately in love with the red-head, (why she could never figure out), and Carer was trying to protect her friend. She was annoyed by the loss of skin against hers, but she was going to enjoy watching Carter put Adriane in her place.

She quickly moved out of the red-head's way as Carter threw Adriane to the ground in the hallway, watching as her friend's fist connected with the other girl's jaw. Several punches were thrown before Alaska felt the need to step in, she was fine with Adriane beating the shit out of the bitch but she didn't want a crime scene in her house.

"Get off." Alaska nudged Carter, resorting to practically dragging the red-head off when she didn't listen. The taller girl was harder to lift than she'd expected, especially while she was kicking and thrashing. Luckily just then Ryder came around the corner demanding to know what the hell was going on, for once he could actually be useful.

"Come grab Carter and calm her down." She ordered, her twin coming to hold the red-head back while Alaska picked up Adriane off the floor and started leading her to the door.

"You should probably ice that." She stated, closing the door behind her and leaning up against it with a sigh. This wasn't exactly how she'd planned for her night to go, not that she blamed Carter. Deciding she needed to relax she headed over to the kitchen for another drink. There was a group playing cards at the kitchen table and she waved hi to Ash as she poured herself a drink, noticing the two cakes on the counter.

"Those cakes look amazing, who brought them?" She asked, amazed that anyone had even thought to bring something for the twins,

Chase

tumblr_mzexvx7QZA1qe75ueo5_r1_250.gif

He'd hoped that Bryan would back off once he made it clear that Rae was his date, as if it hadn't been obvious before, but unfortunately the jock was even dumber than he looked. The blond was clearly past reasoning with but Chase wasn't going to allow him to make Rae or any other girl uncomfortable.

"She's not my claim, she just deserves respect." Chase prided himself on not being as rash and prone to fighting as his siblings, but Bryan was really pushing it and he wasn't one to be walked over. Without hesitation he punched the football player, only feeling a little bad as his fist connected with his face. There were plenty of people who wanted to punch him, so it wasn't like anyone would be shocked. Besides, he'd been the one to start the rumor about Ryder's girlfriend, and as much as he tried to stay out of his sibling's drama it still pissed him off.

"Next time show the girl some respect."

Ash
Lil Shrug.gif

She watched as everyone else went through the motions, and Ash was smiling as they played the game. This was going great so far, and it was nice to have a night with Ryder where they wasn't any kind of fighting, punching, blood, threats... anything like that. Actually, it felt like this might've been the first time that there wasn't something like that. So yeah, she was happy, and then it came around to her turn to play the game Scarlet had suggested.

And, that's when Carter came out of the bathroom with Adriane, and Ryder was heading over to stop the fight. The smile fell from her face as she watched him hold Carter, as Mason walked over, and Alaska dragged Adriane to the door. Now, she wasn't upset that he'd gotten involved -- how could he not? It was his sister, and his house, but... she was disappointed, to say the least. One night that they could have some kind of pleasant time together, and here it was. Being ruined. Again.

The twins really did drag destruction with them wherever they went. So with a forced smile, she looked towards Madison, Scarlet, and Charlotte. "Uh, it's kind of late. I should head home." Ash said. Her gaze trailed back over to Ryder for a moment, and she bit her lip before looking back at the three. "It was nice meeting you, Charlotte. And hanging out with you two again. I'll see you all at school." And with that, she stood up from the chair and headed into the party to, well, socialize or something while Ryder handled the fighty girls.

Drake
Lil Shirt Puff.gif

Cheek kisses had become a commonplace thing in Drake's life. Girls were constantly kissing him on the cheek for being sweet (and never on the lips because Drake had yet to be a smooth dude and get a girlfriend, okay?), but this was very different. For one, he hardly knew Maisie. And two, he found himself blushing as she stepped back. This had to of been the best Halloween ever. Even better than the Halloween where Mason had distracted an older, very mean couple and Drake had stolen their bowl of candy and ran away from it.

"Please, I don't... I mean... candy... pfft, you deserve it." He was tongue-tied. Drake, the boy of a thousand words and rapid-fire questions, was actually tongue-tied and was tripping over his words as he tried to talk with her. Yes, he would've loved to go home with that sweet, sweet loot, but seeing a smile on Maisie's face was worth more than an entire truckload of candy. And, well, Ari wouldn't notice if Drake stole and ate most of her candy, so... it would be fine.

"I'll have to work on that dazzling smile so I can get that perfect 10/10." He joked, and was even blushing more when she called him sweeter than candy, before he started laughing. "8/10 on the joke. Everyone knows I am way sweeter than any candy." And he would've kept joking with Maisie like this, enjoying himself, when Adriane was shoved out of the house.

Mason didn't come out after her, and Adriane was his ride home, so... well, Drake knew it was time for the party to end. "So my brother's baby mama just got kicked out of the house and she's my ride home, so I gotta go, but I'll see you at school on Monday?" He asked as he finger gunned at Maisie and started backing away, only to run into a trash can. Drake almost went tumbling down with it, but he managed to right himself and grab the trash can before giving Maisie one more smile, and then heading over to Adriane.

Mason
Kinda cute.gif

It was over in the blink of an eye. Adriane was bloody and angry as Alaska dragged her out, tossing her outside, after June had tried to help hold Carter back until Ryder had come up and taken over. And now Mason was still standing where he had stood with June only moments earlier, mouth slightly ajar in confusion, with bottle of alcohol still in hand. Slowly, he set it down, quietly debating on what he was even supposed to do. Follow Adriane? Stay here?

Hell if he knew. He carefully set down his alcohol, frozen in place for a moment, before he approached June, Carter, and Ryder. He was praying that no one would yell at him because, well, that tended to be what happened by association. But Adriane had been shoved out of the house before she even had time to speak, so surely he'd be fine?

"What... what just happened?" He asked as he came to a stop by the group, standing closer to June than anyone else. She was the least likely to punch him, right?

He couldn't hold his fake pout long when Scar mirrored him, he found it unbelievably cute and got him laughing. He picked up his arm wrapping it around her, and lightly squeezing her into his chest. When she played for him again and loosing so he could take his shot. She was incredibly adorable, as she tucked the card into his collar he didn't stop himself. "Down with the bloody red queen." He mimicked the Mad Hatter, starting to think everyone might find it to be a long night of him quoting Alice and Wonderland, wondering how long till everyone was going to be sick of him and his nonsense. He quickly introduced himself to Charlotte, "Madison, also new." Nodding in her direction

All of a sudden there was screaming, and a huge crash causing everyone at the table to jump, Ryder running off without another word, and Ash following close behind. Madison turned to Scar, "Looks like we might never get to finish a game with Ryder and Ash." He laughed, this was the second time their game had been interrupted due to a fight.

Rae
giphy.gif

Bryan was the exact reason that Rae never talked to anyone, she still wasn't exactly sure how her and Chase had started talking. When Bryan called her a claim, she was disgusted, how could anyone see another human as property. She didn't have much time to think on it, because the next second Chase had punched Bryan in the face.

Rae's eyes went wide her mouth dropped. She was so surprised that Chase had punched Bryan, he just always seemed like the exact opposite from his siblings. Not that Bryan didn't deserve it, he made her completely uncomfortable. "Oh my god!" She grabbed Chase's hand, "Are you okay?" She looked at his knuckles, they didn't look bruised at least. "Let's get some ice.."

She kinda thought they should probably get some ice for Bryan too, even though he was being an ass. Doesn't mean it didn't hurt like a mother, she lead the way back into the kitchen. Opening the freezer and pulling out a freezer pack for Chase handing it to him. As he leaned against the counter she stood in front of him she rested her hands on either side of the counter beside him. "You know that was really stupid." She looked up in his eyes. "Really, really, stupid, but really sweet.... and kinda hot." She smiled and bit her bottom lip.

Carter

She couldn't hear anyone, she was so unaware of her surroundings. She didn't hear June trying to get her to stop, she couldn't feel Alaska trying to pull her off. It wasn't till Ryder physically pulled her off of Adriane that she came back to reality. If he hadn't been there, it's likely Carter would of come close to killing Adriane. She had been holding in all her rage towards her, that tonight tipped the scale and she couldn't hold back any longer.

This night had started out as something that was supposed to be fun, getting drunk, and enjoying company with friends. Carter should have known it wouldn't have gone that way the second she saw Adriane there. She felt awful for having ruined Ryder and Alaska's birthday. She started picking the stray strands of red hair off of her hands. When Mason came over instead of following Adriane out the door, she felt like she couldn't handle it, she didn't want him telling her how horrible she was for almost killing the mother of his daughter.

"I can't do this tonight." She sighed, looking down at her feet. "I'm sorry I ruined your birthday... I'll show myself out.." She ran a hand through her hair, taking the headband off and pulling her hair back into a ponytail. "Mind if I use your bathroom before I leave?" She knew if she showed up at home covered in blood her parents would kill her. She probably was still a bit too drunk to drive, but she wanted to get out of there.

So that was her name. Now it made sense, her name was Brooke. He was only a few letters off when the name 'Brooklyn' came to mind. "Probably, I've got a history with most people." He replied to her greeting, offering a gloved hand for the girl to shake. "I'm Jace, in case you forgot." His introduction was accompanied by a grin, amusement creeping into his expression. Jace just couldn't quite help it. This was the second event in a row in which he'd reintroduced himself to a pretty blonde. Although Brooke wasn't quite on the same level of pretty as Ash, in his opinion. "Nice to meet you again!"

Mid handshake he turned his attention to Raven, a short chuckle escaping his lungs at her vaguely targeted comment. He figured she was talking about the other blonde, the one she'd been talking to, but there was no fun in questioning it. Instead he spared a glance back to the girl he'd shook hands with, shrugging playfully before looking back to the spidey-girl. She had more to say after all. "I wasn't planning on it, but I figured I might as well pop in. How could I turn down a party with the Raven?" Jace's voice took on a teasing tone towards the end of that sentence. It was fun to compliment her, so why not?

The girl's own compliment wasn't the only vague thing that she'd throw his way, however. It took Jace a couple moments to figure out what exactly she meant by mystery. He was flattered though, even before he realized Detective Riviera was asking about his costume. It wouldn't be much of a stretch to say that he may have already forgotten he was in one. "Well, I guess the game's afoot then." Jace decided, popping open his soda. His bright eyes spied an opportunity for fun, depending on how much she actually wanted to know what he was dressed up as. "It'd be anticlimactic if I just told you, after all."

Jace was mid sip of his chosen drink when Westbrook's trademark drama inevitably broke loose. He groaned, looking over his shoulder just in time to see Alaska escorting some red headed girl out of the house. At the same time her brother disengaged from Ash to help with the other red head that was involved, although he was too far away to see what happened. He furrowed his brow slightly when he saw his favorite blonde, too, disappear from the crowd. Hopefully whatever was going on wouldn't bleed into her life again. "Shit... Looks like I stayed a little too long this time." Jace mused, keeping a joking tone to his voice as he turned back to the girls. As if to accentuate his point, it was only a few seconds later that Chase and his date hurried by on their way to the fridge. Whatever was going on, it must've been serious to get the non-fighty boi drawn into it. "Guess Monday's gonna suck again?" He shrugged before downing another swig of soda, refusing to let the situation knock the jovial smile off his face.

Another fight. She turned her head to try and see through the kitchen doorway that lead to the living room where two redheads were tangled until one was appropriately kicked out. Scarlet looked to Mads and laughed. "Every time, somehow." On his arm around her, she played with his fingers and opened her mouth to say something else when Alaska strolled in. The girl grinned and gave a little wiggle in her seat. "I made them." She was like a child who had brought home an art project to show her parents. "That one is vanilla confetti and that one is chocolate strawberry. I hope you guys like them. I wasn't sure if you were allergic to anything or had any preferences, or if you even liked bats or carved pumpkins...." She started rambling so she cleared her throat, stood from the table, and reached out to Alaska for a hug. "Happy Birthday." Even just two shots in, Scar was much more open to physical touch and talking, but there was a point in her drunken escapades where things started going downhill; thankfully, Scarlet's self-awareness kept her from ever getting to that point again. At least for tonight.

Neck Tie

4BGdoEv.gif

Neck Tie nibbled on the chicken as he listened to Casper, nodding as he did. Casper’s story was interesting and all, but boy was this chicken D-E-L-I-C-I-O-U-S. He tried to stay focused as his friend mumbled and stammered away. But this was the best KFC he’d ever had in his life. It was great that Casper was there to share it with him.

He chuckled as Casper said Omma. That was funny. Omma, Omma. He assumed Casper had meant his mother, but he asked to be sure: ‘Who’s Omma?’ then took a sip of his coke. *Hiccup*. ‘Excuse me, um. . . sorry.’ *Hiccup* He always got the hiccups when drinking soda.

‘What’s a Fa-ri-kal?’ he asked curiously. ‘My mum cooks as well. She makes the best casserole. . . ‘ Neck Tie looked a bit wistful as he mentioned his mother. ‘But my dad doesn’t cook, so we’ve just been having take-aways a lot, the two of us. . . Is your Omma a good cook? I bet she’s great.’

Neck Tie took another bite of the drumstick. ‘Aaron’s. . . kind of angry all the time, isn’t he?’ he said. ‘Don’t worry, Casper. . . I've got your back. Don't worry.’ He smiled and then wiped his mouth into the serviette.

Casper looked down a bit more as Neck Tie chuckled, reaching up to scratch gently at his neck. And then he asked his question, and Casper kept his gaze on his chicken. “My mom,” he began to clarify, but then Neck Tie hiccuped, and Casper couldn’t help but giggle, relaxing immediately. The hand stopped scratching. “It’s okay,” he said, smiling to himself still.

He didn't seem to mind Neck Tie's halted repetition as he said, “Fårikål is really good- It’s... mutton?” He looked up at the ceiling as he tried to remember if that was right, then looked back down at Neck Tie, saying much more speedily, “And cabbage and pepper and it’s served with potatoes! O-” He stopped himself, remembering how Neck Tie had chuckled as he reached for the coleslaw. “Mom said Daddy’s mom taught her to make it.”

Casper quieted down as Neck Tie mentioned his Mum, eyes going wide as he paused in getting himself some coleslaw to stare at Neck Tie. Then he thought a bit, and his brow furrowed. Instead of answering the question Neck Tie had asked, Casper asked him one in return, eyes glued to his face.

“Where’s your mom?” What he said hit him, and he sat up a bit, looking down. “Sorry, that was rude.” He was quiet for a second before he recalled he had been asked a question, the perfect way to change the topic. He ignored the way he felt lifted over Neck Tie calling his mom his omma like he did. “My omma’s a really good cook. She’s been doing it a long time... She’s trying to teach me and Aaron to cook, too."

As he was asked about Aaron, he blinked, eyes dropping further down. “Oh… Kind of. He just… doesn’t like new people a lot.” Or people in general. “I don't understand why…” For a second, he just stared at his food, contemplative.

A frail smile crossed his face as Neck Tie told him not to worry. He shrugged. “I can't just stop worrying, especially when Aaron's... missing, I guess.”

June
June found herself conflicted with happiness and sadness as Adriane was kicked out. She would be lying if she said she was was sorry for her. She deserved it, but it helped her cause more. She wanted to say something to Carter, but she seemed out of it. She bit her lip and looked over at Mason. “You...” She wanted to talk to him. She hated this burning sensation that consumed her. She wanted to spill her guts out to him, she didn’t want to alcohol and the lights to color the words in a haze. She wanted to speak. “You should go to Adriane.” No, she wasn’t going to say anything. He already seemed closed off. He already melancholy and stressed. Why hurt him more than she already did?

“We can talk again later.” Or never. “Make sure she’s okay.” Maybe she could talk to Alaska or Carter or leave. Anything, to stop her from looking at him and thinking about everything she refused to say.

What A Smile.gif

School sucked. That was her official, very exclusive opinion on this hell hole that she found herself in every day of the week. Ava was at her locker at the moment, crushed as close to it as she could while students moved around her, slamming into the lockers and talking about some stupid party over the weekend on Friday night. While her fellow classmates had been getting drunk, Ava had been curled up in her bed, reading a book and had passed out before midnight. Yeah. It had been sad.

She glanced around her locker, watching as other students milled about and talked with each other. Okay, okay, so the whole "I'm not going to be friends with anybody through high school" thing had been a great idea after what had happened with she-who-shall-not-be-named, the bane of her social existence, Juliette. So any other attempts at socialization had involved in sassy remarks and dirty looks, leaving Ava beautifully, perpetually, disappointingly alone.

Ava did make eye contact with someone for a moment, which resulted in her eyes widening in surprise for a moment, and then she dived behind her locker door, pretending to be easy. With a sigh, she finally stepped back from her locker with a few textbooks and a notebook in her arms, and kicked her locker shut with her boot. It was the easiest, most therapeutic way to close one's locker, and it had resulted in a dent in the bottom of her locker. Ah, well, whatever. The lockers were garbage, anyway.

It had been a long weekend, but a good weekend, one of those weekends where you party so hard that you think you'll never wake up but for some reason Ethan was awake. He had spent the last three nights drinking, partying, and rocking out with all his friends... He might've have done a few lines of cocaine but he was to black-out drunk to even remember that far along. Ethan drove to the high school half asleep, almost swerving into cars once he finally started hitting the busier roads around town, "Ugh fuck off..." He flipped off a minivan that beeped at him, he could see the woman in the car waving her hand wildly and most likely cursing at him, but he felt prepared for this situation. The truck he was driving was all types of jacked up so as soon as he smashed his foot down on the accelerator, a plume of black fumes enveloped the van behind him. He laughed, coughing as he did, speeding away from the van to take the exit down towards the high school. He basically crashed into the first open space he saw, almost sideswiping a little car to the left. "Fuck this...Fuck that...Fuck all this, I'm ready to leave." Ethan said in a sing song voice, almost twirling like a dancer as he tumbled out of his trucks. He looked like trash, his jeans were dirty and torn, his white shirt was discolored till it was almost beige and his work boots had holes in them, "I look like shit.." He took a moment to look in the mirror, rubbing the scruff that was building up on his face, "Might as well grow my beard now, it's getting cold." He sighed then grabbed his bag from the front seat before sauntering inside of the hellscape, he was looking for a fight at this rate, verbal or physical.

It had been a good weekend, hell it had been a wonderful weekend where she had earned a ton of money, so much money she could've rolled in. She moved quick to get all the electronics wiped and clean then sold alongside with jewelry that the group had lifted from the Vaughn household. Her little connections were growing, it was becoming easier to sell stuff now that she was established and she was getting calls from unknown numbers to take jobs. There was still this twinge of anxiety that was deep in the pit of her stomach from the night of that first deal when the police had chased them down, a small scar still painted her lip where that punch landed by that one Outlaw sympathizer who had wailed on her in the club. She stalked into school through the back door after she got to get her smoke of the day in, wandering over to Ryan's locker. He wasn't there yet so she leaned up against it, flicking through her phone as she waited for him to appear. She had split the money between everyone, only she knew that Maisie had abandoned the whole operation but she had spent time trick-or-treating with some guy... Drake.. She thought it was, but she still gave her the money. Hajar saw herself in Maisie, it made her heart twinge, she was a young adult who was discovering what it was like to finally be a kid, Hajar knew from experience so she still passed on the money to her, hoping that she continued to use the money to keep being a kid.

Neck Tie

‘She’s still in England. . . My mum and dad are divorced,’ said Neck Tie, stirring the gooey mash and gravy as if suddenly losing his appetite. Then Casper apologised for bringing it up, and Neck Tie said, ‘It’s OK. . . I don’t mind. It’s just, a bit weird to talk about it.’

Neck Tie put the plastic spoon down. ‘Like, I tried calling her the other day. . . but there was this man. He picked up the phone instead of her. So I guess she’s seeing someone else now. It’s stupid.’

He tried smiling when Casper mentioned cooking. ‘Cor, that’s really cool. I like cooking, too! My mum used to teach me. . . well, not really. . . I guess I kinda just used to watch her in the kitchen. I wish my dad knew how to cook though. Last week he cut his finger trying to dice an onion and there was blood everywhere!’

Then Casper was talking about Aaron. Even though they were siblings, Neck Tie thought Casper and Aaron were so unlike each other. Maybe they were a bit like Neck Tie’s little brothers, Josh and Nick. Although they were twins they were also very different from each other, and you could never predict what mischief they’d be up to next. He did sympathise with Casper, though. He always worried about his brothers too. Now he couldn't even see them at all.

Neck Tie put the chicken bone down and wiped his hands. He was full and waited for his friend to finish, wiggling uncomfortably in the Westbrook wolf. It was such an itchy costume. He tried scratching his back but couldn’t reach it. Now he was sweating all over. He distracted himself by taking out the sweets they had collected from trick-or-treating, and counting them on the table. ‘We’ve got so much. . .’ There were also two lollipops, one grape and one lemon. ‘Which one would you like?’ He offered the choices to Casper, then unwrapped the unwanted one and stuck it in his mouth. ‘MMMmm . . . This is pretty good. It’s a shame we don’t do trick or treating in England. . . I think it’s really fun!’

School was great. At least for Juliette, the attention the brunette craved was always given here.. obviously. Scrolling through the tweets and pictures on social media about the party she didn't attend, hating the fact that Bryan had even went without her. Making a mental note to have a talk with him about it later, it wasn't like JJ to not go to a party, rolling her eyes at the thought of the stupid charity gala they'd made her go to. It was just to make their business look good. It wasn't like they actually cared. And it wasn't even a good party, no alcohol or any boys her age, all in all. A terrible event in general.

Juliette highly doubted it was because of all the hungry children, or whatever. Just an excuse for old people to throw money at whoever while making small talk with each-other. Strutting through the halls of the school making her way to her locker, for no reason in particular, she didn't exactly carry books with her, Juliette wasn't the type to study. Nor did she need to, everything was being done for her. Why try when you could get someone else to do it for you?

Opening her locker, having the slightest hint of a grin at her face. Puckering her lips and reapplying lipgloss. Catching sight of Ava in her mirror her grin faded and focused her gaze on herself in the mirror in front of her. Ignoring her thoughts about the insufferable redhead, Juliette made sure she always looked her best. After all it was hard not to, she was convinced every girl wanted to be her, and every boy wanted to kiss her. I mean.. who wouldn't?

Ethan walked straight down the hall, he didn’t avoid people or groups, he just crashed right through them like a powerful wave. He thought he was hot shit, a force of nature to reckoned with, in reality he might’ve just been a high school douche but all the girls loved him. Even as he strode down the tile floor in his worst clothes and the worst haggered look on his face, there was still some girls looking at him with those looks he loved and he was gonna get pulled in. “Call me..” He mouthed and threw a flirtious wink towards one girl before pushing through the surge of people, shoving one person with a shoulder check as he threw some dirty looks the groups way. His locker wasn’t hard to find, just a place to store trash, but today he noticed someone by the locker he hasdnt seen before and he was smitten. “Why hello...” Ethan purred when he was next to her, popping his locker, “Nice lipstick choice honey, makes your lips pop.” He grinned wide, tossing his bag into his locker, “What would I have to do to get with you?” His eyebrow cocked upwards as he leaned up against his locker.

Juliette's attention was pulled away from herself for the briefest moment, turning her head ever so slightly to see the boy leaning against the locker near hers. Locking her blue eyes with his, smirking. It was lipgloss, but did she really expect a boy to know that? Well.. if it had to do with her own lips, yes. "It's lipgloss, honey." Turning her attention back to the mirror, which was only for a few seconds. Raising a brow and her smirk widened at his words. She had a boyfriend, of course. Bryan was the best.

But Juliette wasn't going to turn away attention, she deserved praise, and if a boy wanted to get with her she wasn't surprised. Lowering the lipgloss from her lips, and closing the locker shut with a loud thud. Leaning her back against it. "Hmm.." JJ stuck her tongue out from the corner of her lip in mock thought. Her eyes trailed over the boy, he had a pretty face. Yes. But.. well.. his attire wasn't as attractive as he was. Usually women would've loved the 'rough' look. But Juliette wasn't naive. "First things first. How about don't borrow clothes from a homeless person?" Batting her eyelashes in a way that seemed way too flirty to be rude.

Leaning closer to him as if to tell him a secret. "And maybe i'll think about it." Leaning away, the smirk was still clear on her face. After all, he was cute. But there was a line Juliette wouldn't cross. Such as cheating on a boyfriend who was nothing but good to her. What? Bryan showered her with compliments, something she deeply appreciated. There was nothing wrong with a little bit of flirting, even if Bryan showed up she'd doubt he'd even realize she was flirting with the boy. Hmph. Maybe he'd actually scare him off. That'd be hot.
