Maisie
tumblr_pjnoiyvGzy1uz4mb8o7_r1_250.gif
Maisie agreed with his statement. Yes. Teenagers were boring. But unfortunately they were teenagers. Acting like a bunch of kids, and Maisie couldn't of enjoyed it more. This was much better than her original plan of going to the party and awkwardly staring at everyone else, while she kept a lookout as Hajar and Ryan was stealing things from the birthday.. people? whoever's birthday it was. Probably didn't matter though. A small smile still plastered on her face as they walked their way to the next house. Maisie peeked in the tote bag at the candy, huh. Rich people really don't have anything better to do other than handing out more candy, a whole bunch too.

Wasn't like she was complaining at the moment though. Reaching out in the bag and pulling out two lollipops, handing one to Drake. Before raising her eyebrows at him when he asked her about herself. Taking the candy out of her mouth, furrowing her brows trying to think of things to tell him. "..I like art." She did, Maisie was infatuated with it. Graffiti was an art and anyone who told her otherwise was just dumb. But other than that what else was she supposed to talk about? She wasn't very interesting. She doubted that she could keep him in the slightest bit intrigued with anything she talked about, especially if the topic was about herself.

"Well.. what do you wanna know?" She shrugged.

Grace

Grace smiled at Carter, gladly letting her refill the glass, It was comforting to know that not everyone believed the rumor. Taking her words to heart and drinking the other shot she refilled, wincing as the liquor went down, it didn't taste very well. But then again did anyone really drink for the taste? Speaking of the taste, Carter decided to get something sweeter which made Grace much more excited for alcohol. Her eyes widened at Carter's jab at the two of them, clearing her throat and deciding to ignore that and the blush that was clear on her face. "Mmhm. Yep. To the birthday girl." Raising the shot glass to Alaska, before quickly downing another. Maybe she should probably slow down a little..

Looking over to Sawyer when she'd mentioned the ski trip. Smiling at the 'we' part of her sentence, although Grace hadn't really thought about it, she remembered Ash mentioning it a few weeks ago. It sounded fun, maybe getting away from WestBrook would be a nice change of pace for a little while, away from the prying eyes, emphasis on the eyes. As Grace spotted a cheerleader staring at her oddly, probably noticing the three shots she'd just drank. "I would want to go." Giving a small shrug. Grace wasn't going to make Sawyer come with her, even if it'd probably be way more enjoyable. "But we don't have to if you don't want to." Adjusting the fedora that Sawyer had placed on her own head earlier.

Drake

Maisie just kept getting better as she passed a lollipop to Drake. He grinned, taking it from her and popping it in his mouth. Ah, candy. The best drug of all. "Thanks," he mumbled around the candy, and listened as she answered his question. He looked over at her when she mentioned art and, well, she looked like the kind of girl that would be into art. All... awkward and shy and... stuff. Those kinds of girls were always more into making art than anything else, or so he'd noticed over the years. "You should show me your art sometime. My brother used to be really artsy until he started, like, being a douche."

"Okay..." he said, thoughtfully trying to think of questions to ask her. "Alright, well, where are you from? What grade are you in? How long have you been going to school here?" His questions were rapid fire, and eventually, he decided that that was enough. After all, Drake didn't want to scare her, and he knew that sometimes he could come on a bit strong, so to speak. What? He was an enthusiastic guy who loved talking to people and getting to know them better.

Brooke

"I do admit, you look pretty damn good in it." It was true, Raven looked drop dead gorgeous in the skin tight costume and Brooke definitely wasn't complaining. Of course the basketball player liked Raven for other reasons, but it didn't hurt that she was easy on the eyes. If she looked as good as Raven she'd want to show it off too.

"Me too! I forced my mom to call me Supergirl until I was like eight." Brooke's own superhero obsession had been mostly due to her two younger brothers, there had been no escaping it so she'd given in and grown up playing with action figures and Barbies. She was happy to hear Raven explain why she'd chosen spiderman, though she was now even more curious but didn't want to pester the older girl with questions. It was nice to get to know her more, the journalist had always been an enigma to her, someone she could admire from afar but was too intimidated to approach. "Spiderman's cute but you're much better." She teased.

"I was always obsessed with her, she was so likable and bubbly, plus she had the coolest powers." Brooke admitted, figuring if Raven was going to share than it was only fair that she did to. Before she could say anything else, a boy she didn't really know came up to say hello to Raven.

"Hey, I'm Brooke. I think we might've had history together." She'd made it her personal mission to know everyone at Westbrook, but there were so many students it was hard.

Ryder

It was incredibly kind of Scarlet to bake both twins a cake, especially since the first and only time they'd met he'd ruined their beer pong game. He'd have to tell Alaska about it so they could properly thank her, though he didn't think their burnt cookies would work this time. Maybe a card would be better.

It was nice to see everyone so happy and having a good time, Ash had been so upset this week he was relieved to see her smile. "To new relationships?" He toasted, raising his glass of rum and clinking it against his friends. They were only a few months into the new school year and Ryder had more drama than he ever wanted, but he also had an amazing girlfriend and great new friends, so maybe it all evened out.

"Hmmm...maybe (insert game here)?" He offered when Ash suggested playing a drinking game.

Alaska

"Fuck Lexi and Bryn, they were worth detention." It was amazing she hadn't gotten suspension, or even expulsion, but no teacher's had seen her punch Bryan and Jamie had so kindly covered for the Lexi thing, so she'd only ended up with detention

"Oh my god, Sawyer. This is the best present ever!" Alaska stated, taking the extended weapon from her friend and admiring the way it shined in the light. Too bad she definitely couldn't take this to school, she was already in trouble as is and she was sure if she took a knife now she'd end up in jail. This would just make a nice addition to her room decor and she'd probably slip it in her purse when she want anywhere besides school.

She was a little surprised by how forward Carter was with Grace and Sawyer, but she still laughed and rolled her eyes at her friend. It was insane how many gay girls there were in Westbrook. Thank the gay gods they'd moved here, though most of those girls were her friends and it just would be weird to make out with them.

"To me!" She cheered, clinking her glass against her friends and downing the drink. It was much smoother than the last and filled her with a slow, creeping warmth. The buzz was starting to build and she knew she'd be drunk soon if she kept doing shots this fast.

"What about you, Carter? Gonna join me on the slopes?" She asked. The annual ski trip was her favorite thing about Westbrook High, the girl loved her winter sports and it was even more fun to compete with her brothers. Last year Lexi had almost broken her nose on the slopes, it had entirely made the trip.

Chase

"You're fine, but now that you're here do you want to meet some of friends?" He asked, figuring if they were going to eventually date she'd need to meet his friends and annoying siblings eventually. Besides, she could use some friends and knowing more people at Westbrook would help her out. Rae was so sweet he was sure she'd make friends fast, everyone would adore her just as much as he did.

"I couldn't have picked it without your help." Their date at the pumpkin patch had been amazing, he'd really gotten to know her better and he had enjoyed the relaxing day after the chaos of that week. "How's yours looking?" He asked.

Maisie
tumblr_pjnoiyvGzy1uz4mb8o7_r1_250.gif
Maisie smiled softly at his thanks, it was only candy. But it was polite. It's tough to find nice people like him. It usually takes her awhile to warm up to people, but she thinks she could write down Drake as a good person in her book. She hesitantly nodded when he asked to see some of her art. She wasn't sure how he'd take to seeing a literal wall. Well.. obviously with the art on it but making a mental note of it maybe she'd actually show him one day. "Maybe." Leaving it at that. A little unsure how to answer his rapid questions, taking her a moment to process what he asked. Simple questions were cool, easy enough to answer. biting her lip before actually speaking. "Uh.. well.. I'm not really from anywhere?" No, that's a lie. Before you came to WestBrook. Duh. "Dayton. Just a few hours away, Oh. And i'm a freshman." Didn't most people dislike freshman? That was a thing right? Hm. She doubted that Drake would dislike her for that reason anyway.

"And i've only been at school for like.. a week? Yeah. A week." Raising her eyebrows and shaking her head at the thought of the school, chuckling. "I can't say it's been particularly boring, but i've been kinda trying to stay away from everyone's own drama. Y'know?" WestBrook was definitely one of the dramatizing places on earth. At least that's what it seemed like, rumors, fights, complicated relationships. Maisie can only hope she wouldn't be involved in any of that. "My turn." Thinking of a few questions to ask, when nothing came to her she decided to use his own words. "Where are you from? What grade are you in? How long have you been going to school here?" She tried to ask him as rapidly as he did, doing impression almost as spot-on as she could. Laughing softly, "I'm sorry, i'm sorry. I'm only teasing, but i do wanna know.." Giving him a small shrug. What? they were good questions..

Raven
tumblr_pluw5qJKas1qgbcj3o2_400.gif
Raven deeply enjoyed Brooke's compliments. Not like the flirting she'd got from other people. Just because Raven's nature was generally flirty. Most of the school thought she was always up for a quick makeout session or more. Yeah, no. Not interested. Okay.. well.. It depends really on the person. Asshole jocks weren't on that list. Narrowing her eyes at her in thought while she spoke, staring at her as if she was trying to figure her out. Brooke had this weird aura around her, it always seemed like she was... happy. Truthfully, Raven was envious of it. When she started to talk about why she liked Supergirl. Raven nodded slowly in agreement, but not for her reasons. She was merely putting the pieces together, Brooke was exactly like her, likeable and bubbly. Although no powers, at least.. not that Raven knows about yet. But intrigued to find out.

Turning her head to find Jace. Furrowing her brows at his costume. She wasn't sure what he was, but grinned in his direction anyway. "Who wouldn't have fun when they've got a very attractive blonde entertaining them?" Raising an eyebrow at Brooke, and back to Jace, it might've been unclear which blonde she was talking about considering they both had the same hair color. Oh well. Who was complaining? Take the compliment. Waiting until after Brooke and Jace exchanged names, before she spoke. "I didn't think you'd come tonight cupcake." Trailing her eyes over his costume and cocking her head to one side. "I wasn't gonna ask.. but your just a mystery i'm begging to solve." Hoping he wouldn't get offended. Maybe she should've just figured it out herself instead of asking, Detective Rivera would be at it again. Even though she was missing another insufferable Rivera to add to her Detective Agency. But c'mon.. Who really needed Mason? Hm. ...June probably.

She followed him over to the drinks at first and was already heading another direction before he even said anything. She followed behind him and paused as she grabbed the bottle. “Um...” She wasn’t about to tell him that she drank herself silly that night, but at least she learned her limits. And with learning limits she knew never to past them. “I’ll be fine, thank you.” She smiled and took a drink before looking over at him when he asked her what she’s been up to.

She didn’t want to answer him. It was so easy for her to snap at him about the whole thing, but she had to hold her tounge. So much so, that her teeth might chop it in half. She didn’t want to snap at him about Adriane and how she’s been feeling so lonely. She has constant trouble getting out of bed and photography has lost all of its glow. But, it wasn’t just because of him. It’s because of everything leading up to now. All her mistakes known to everyone and probably hated by everyone. She wants to turn cold, but somehow she turned numb instead. “I’ve been fine. Um, I’ve been trying to fix my grades. They were falling, but at least I have C’s and B’s now.” She didn’t want to talk about school, but that’s the only neutral ground she could step on.

“What about you?” She asked slowly as her eyes moved past him to a certain redhead moving around a guy. She quickly looked back at her drink and took another swig.

She pretty much regretted her decision as soon as she walked in the door. Every ounce of disparity she once felt shedded as she watched people hoop and holler and slosh drinks around. If there was a button she could push to save the world or get away from this party, she would constantly push the get away from this party option.

She quietly slipped in and pulled her wings closer to herself as she walked through people. What was she doing? She was an idiot for even trying to find him. If he wanted to reveal himself he would’ve, and what was she suppose to go off of. The way he replied? She slipped her phone out when her back was against the wall and DMed the online guy what coustume he was wearing. Even though, she doubted he would tell her such a huge hint.

Sawyer
Sawyer was in the process of downing her third shot when Grace answered her question about going on the ski trip. She honestly hadn't noticed the way she'd said we when she asked, but she did notice the inflection Grace put on the word. Sawyer smiled a little and went to wrap an arm around Grace's waist. Alaska's reaction to her present caught her attention for a moment and it made her grin, glad that she'd managed to pick out a decent gift by herself. Sawyer turned back to Grace when Alaska started talking to Carter.

"I go wherever you go." Sawyer smiled at Grace, "Besides, I haven't skied in forever so I'm totally down." She winked at Grace and reached to refill her glass. Maybe all they needed t ok get over all this drama was to get away for a little while. The ski trip could be good for them. Sawyer was dead set on the fact that this could fix all of their problems, at least temporarily. Besides, a week away from their parents and Westbrook all together with Grace sounded like a good enough deal to her.

Sawyer was suddenly reminded of the fact that she had driven herself over here and she glared down at the shot glass in her hand. Well, she hadn't really thought this through. She really didn't want to drive home drunk so plan B it was.

"Yo, Alaska, is it alright if I crash here after this is over?" She questioned the dark headed girl, "My dad'll kill me if I drive home drunk." Sawyer leaned into Grace and kissed the side of her head, "You should stay too." She grinned an almost Cheshire grin, "Please?"

Drake

A freshman from a city that Drake had never heard of. Interesting. And she'd only been here for a week, which explained why Drake had never seen her before. He had made it his mission to know everyone and everything, after all. "Only a week?" he echoed. "Oh just wait until you're here for, like, a month. You're going to be drowning in drama and trying to remember who punched who." Well, Drake really wished that that wasn't the cold truth about this place. But everyone here seemed to survive solely on drama, almost as if it was just as important to them as oxygen. Drake tried to stick away.

When she rapid-fired his questions back at him and tried to do an impression of him, well, Drake couldn't help but laugh. "I'll give you a nine out of ten. You just don't have my dazzling smile and boring normal eyes." He said, flashing that very dazzling smile, and batting his pale silver eyes. "Okay, so I'm a sophomore, born and raised in Westbrook, and I have been here all my life." Wow. When he threw it all out there like that, Drake realized how truly boring his life sounded. But he brushed that away, instead fixing his face with another smile. "Okay, so, anything else you want to know? I think I'm good."

Mason
Kinda cute.gif

He was surprised that she was drinking, but it was a party and maybe June was loosening up or something. Mason listened as she mentioned her grades and again, he was surprised. He'd always took June for being the kind of girl that just naturally had good grades. "Hey, that's always good. If you ever need help, I actually get really good grades." It always made Drake mad how easily Mason had skated through high school, usually with straight A's without ever studying or trying. Drake, on the other hand, was perpetually struggling to keep his grades above a C, even if he did try and study.

When the question was turned around on him, Mason didn't know what to say. He was quiet for a moment, taking a drink from his bottle while he quietly thought it all over. What was he even supposed to say? That he'd been constantly dragged around by Adriane, and every time he tried to get something out and push her away, she'd change the subject, or bring up past memories, or just start kissing him and then he'd feel weak and helpless, like there was nothing he could do to stop her. Mason didn't want to be with Adriane, but she also offered him so much for both himself and Ariana.

"Well... Ariana is doing good." He said slowly, thinking about his words carefully as he spoke. "She's with Adriane's parents right now, actually, she uh... she really likes them. I'm really glad that she has grandparents that want her." Mason's mother was a horrible grandmother, and Mason did his best to keep the two separated. Right now, Ari was pretty much just living in Mason and Drake's far too tiny bedroom to avoid the rude words of his mother. "But uh... I'm thinking about moving after I graduate. Go somewhere smaller, start over, just me and Ari, without people who hate my guts, or my really shitty reputation, or... without Adriane..." the last part came out slowly. Without Adriane, just him and Ariana in a new city was terrifying. "After I get her to pay child support, anyway. I mean... I don't really have anything holding me here anymore. Drake can take care of himself, I can't go to college, so why stay in a place that constantly wants to tear me down and remind me of what a fucked up mess I am?" He pointed out with a cold smile.

Casper Ollila

Casper’s eyes widened. “You haven’t? But… They’re so good!” He listened to him speak, lips parted slightly, then shut his mouth, nodding with a smile. “I hope you like them! They- They’re really good. There’s hard candy in the middle that I like a lot…”

When Neck Tie mentioned his nana making them, Casper couldn’t help getting excited. “I like to bake a lot! My omma does, too, though…” He slackened for a moment. “I’ve never met either of my grandmas… Or my grandparents in general, really...” He perked up almost immediately, though. “I’ve had shortbread cookies. They’re yummy!”

Casper tilted his head as Neck Tie’s stomach growled, then nodded along as he spoke. “Yeah, there’s a KFC nearby…” He tried to remember what a petrol station was. Casper watched him get out his wallet, and suddenly felt bad. He couldn’t even offer to help pay, as he had forgotten his wallet at home, and as it was, it had almost no cash inside it.

“Okay,” he said, smiling a bit, though his heart wasn’t in it.

"To new friendships." He clinked his glass with Ryder's and the rest of the group. His school year was already starting off better than the last one had ended. He had already made friends, and had a great girl at his side.

"How do we play, (insert game here)?" He raised an eyebrow at Ryder. With his free hand he reached down and took Scarlet's hand in his and gave it a squeeze. After their date he was feeling more comfortable and like his usual confident self. Still goofy as before, but that was just in his personality. He had decided he would take as many opportunities to quote the Hatter tonight as he could.

"Yea give Alaska a knife, that sounds like a great idea." She sarcastically rolled her eyes, fighty girl with a knife great idea. "We might be paying your bail next time, rather than you just getting detention." She laughed, she always became extremely bubbly when she was drinking baileys, she would get to a point where she'd be laughing when no one was speaking.

"Ski trip... Yea, I'll go. Could be fun to watch everyone think they know how to ski or snowboard. And then not be able to actually stand up." She laughed a little harder, filling her glass back up. Trying to stop herself from giggling, but it was a failed attempt where she'd stop making noise for a moment, and then go back to quite giggling.

She sipped on this next shot, starting to feel decently buzzed. "I think it's time I went back to spiked seltzer for a bit." She giggled wrapping an arm around the birthday girls shoulder. Resting her other hand on the table. "What's next on the birthday girls list." She smirked . "Should we play a game, dance, or maybe drink a bit more?"

Maisie

Maisie disliked what he said, she didn't want to be drowned in drama. She was uninterested in everyone else's affairs, they could do whatever they want. Maisie just didn't want to be there to witness it. Laughing at his words, turning her head to admire his dazzling smile. She nodded in agreement. "I don't think your eyes are boring.." It was more of a statement, but Maisie didn't say it to compliment him. She was just thinking out loud.

Listening when he continued, Maisie couldn't help but think it must be nice to know a town all your life, to be used to everyone and everything here, to have a home. This time keeping her thoughts to herself when he asked if there was anything else she wanted to know. Remembering the twitter conversations, bringing up another topic. "You said online that you had to party with.. Alaska? I think her name was.. you said you had to make sure she had the best birthday. That's sweet of you." Maisie bit her lip, and curiosity got the best of her. "Is she your girlfriend?"

Grace

Grace smiled at her girlfriend, leaning into her when she wrapped her arm around her waist, taking the fedora off and placing on top of Sawyer's head. After all it was her costume. Wouldn't want anyone to think she didn't come without a Clyde, right? Rolling her eyes playfully at her answer, Grace wasn't complaining though. Glad to hear that Sawyer would go with her wherever, otherwise she'd have to kidnap her, but getting arrested for taking her girlfriend along with her wasn't something Grace wanted to be imprisoned for. Or well.. imprisoned in general. Yeah, okay. These aren't sober thoughts. She's probably officially drunk. Leave her be.

Raising an eyebrow at Alaska before answering Sawyer. "I should, huh?" Putting the empty shot glass down, and putting her arms around Sawyer's shoulders. She originally wasn't planning on staying over, but when Sawyer asked so nicely.. how could she say no? Besides, Alaska's parents were well-known. They were rich obviously. Maybe even a little image-ish. Kate would probably approve, she just.. wouldn't have to tell her that Sawyer was staying, or the fact that Alaska is probably into girls too.. Grace leaned in to kiss Sawyer, a kiss that might've lasted a little too long for public. "Mm. You've convinced me." They were probably being too 'couple-ish' in front of Carter and Alaska, almost forgetting they were even there in the first place, blame it on the alcohol. Clearing her throat as she released Sawyer from her grasp. Raising her hand and putting a finger at the edges of her own lips, wiping off any excess lipstick that might've gotten smudged.

Drake

Well Drake took her comment about his eyes very seriously, and decided that it had to be a compliment. "Wait, you were looking at my eyes? You think I have nice eyes?" Okay, so that wasn't what she had said, but that was exactly how Drake was taking it. And, okay, he liked to teased people and right now, this was worthy of teasing.

Plus how could he not think that she was complimenting his eyes when the next question out of her mouth was asking Drake if he was dating Alaska? "No, no," he quickly said, laughing at the very idea. "I mean, I took her to Homecoming but it was because she had this total explosive relationship thing and was feeling all down. Anyway, no, we're just best friends. Not dating. Like, if I was going to date anyone from her family, it would be Chase. He is fine as hell." Drake said, dreamily thinking about that time on the beach when he'd gotten to see plenty of Chase since... y'know... no shirts. "Anyway, uh... yeah. I wouldn't actually date Chase, either, because dating your best friend's brother is just a mess but like, Alaska did sleep with my brother, but whatever."

Okay, he needed to stop rambling.

Bryan
alexander-ludwig-gif-10.gif
Okay so maybe this wasn't the best idea he'd ever had. Oh, who was he kidding, this was quite possibly the worst idea Bryan had ever had I'm the history of forever. But the thought of a party at the Vaughn's house was too tantalizing to not follow up on. Of course, he probably wouldn't be very welcome there but that didn't mean he wasn't going to try anyway. Bryan adjusted his costume in the mirror. The lapel of his starch white suit smoothed put and he smiled at his reflection. He looked absolutely dashing, if he did say so himself, and he very much did. Running a hand through his hair, Bryan turned away from the mirror and went to make his way put of his room and away from his home.

"Where are you going?" Bryan flinched at the voice and turned around to find none other than his father, Byron, standing at the end of the hallway just leaving his study. Byron was an intimidating man of 6 feet and 3 inches with a build equally as intimidating as his height. The tales he would regale of his prime years playing football for his college were proven to be true by all that muscle even in his waning health. Byron's hair had already begun to turn white and his facial hair at this point was white as the snow, which might make him appear grandfatherly if it weren't for the stone cold expression and sharp angles of his face. A face which, at the moment, looked very displeased. Damnit.

"The Vaughn twins. It's, uh, it's their birthday. They're having a party." He explained, wringing his hands together nervously. His father made no indication that he understood as his face still sat in that same stony expression.

"And what is that ridiculous get up you have on." Byron flicked a hand at Bryan's cupid costume and the younger boy crossed his arms over his chest subconsciously.

"It's a costume, da-" Bryan cleared his throat, stopping himself. Byron had recently made it very clear that Bryan was to call him father, not dad and there would be repercussions were he not to do so. "Father. I'm cupid." He lifted the bow in his hand and made a gesture to the quiver of fake heart arrows on his back. Byron just sighed and began walking again, brushing past his son with an air of uncaring.

"Make a fool of yourself if you will." Byron stopped just sort of the stairs but didn't bother to look back as he spoke again, "I'm certain the other children st your school have much better attire for this "costume party", but you seem to want to isolate yourself. My regards to the Vaughn's." With that, Byron set down the stairs leaving his son standing there with a limp bow hanging from his fingers.

The second Bryan set foot in the Vaughn house he made a beeline for the kitchen. If his father insisted that these kids were somehow better than him, Bryan would just have to show him that they weren't. But first, he needed a drink. The second he entered the kitchen he spotted a pretty girl he didn't recognize dressed as what looked to be Lois Lane. Bryan saw Chase with her but he paid no mind to the other boy as he sauntered up to the red head with a wide and even somewhat predatory grin. That was something else his father never seemed to approve of, his choice in girls. Bryan had gotten to the point where he didn't care and besides what could he say? Byron was a terrible husband and an even worse father. Like father like son, right?

"I don't believe we've met." Bryan leaned up against the counter next to the girl, "That's a real shame considering I like to know every pretty girl by name." His grin only grew, "I'm Bryan, and you must be the sun cause you are hot."

Maisie realized she said it out loud, but.. it wasn't anything bad. She guesses anyway, furrowing her brows at his words "Yes. Of course i was looking at your eyes." They've had plenty of conversations this past hour, why wouldn't she look at his eyes? "You do have nice eyes." She shrugged uncaringly, it was true, he did. So why not admit to the compliment. Nodding as he told the story of the birthday girl, hmph. She really thought he'd be dating her, as he continued rambling it hit her. Ohhh. He's gay. Makes sense. okay. "So your into guys, then." Maisie nodded slowly. What? she's just merely curious, stop pestering. "That's cool." Maybe that's why he complimented her earlier, a lot of gay guys were usually really affectionate. By this time they've reached another house, doing the whole cute thing and getting more candy.

Walking with him back towards the mansion where the party was held. "So.. thanks for this." Maisie shook the bag for emphasis. Candy was fun, trick or tricking was too. But it was really more about the company. It was nice to have someone to talk to, someone that she was actually kind of comfortable with.

Alaska

giphy.gif

"I'll kill you if you drive drunk, of course you can stay here." Alaska offered, rolling her eyes at Sawyer even having to ask. Their house was big enough for multiple people to crash, she'd figured a few partiers would end up on her couch so she didn't mind her friends staying the night if it meant they were going to be safe. Besides, now they could all get plastered without having to worry.

"I think we should play a game." She responded, resting her head against Carter's as she giggled.

Thirty minutes and several shots later the brunette was stumbling down the hallway with her lips attached to Carter's, it had started out as a kiss during truth or dare but she was so drunk and the red-head's lips tasted like candy so here they were. She had promised herself after what had happened with Mason that she wasn't going to go around making out with strangers anymore, but it was her birthday and she felt good for once. Drunkenly, she flung open the first door she could get her hands on, pushing Carter in to continue their make out in private, but instead stumbling into another couple.

"What the fuck?"

Chase

"Don't worry, you've got plenty more Halloweens to improve." He reassured her, who knew he might even be around next year to help her carve her pumpkin again. Their date had been fun, and he was looking forward to their second one tonight. Before he could spay anything else, Bryan who'd hosted the homecoming after party was walking up and hitting on Rae as if Chase wasn't standing right there. The audacity was truly astounding, he'd known that the jock was arrogant but he didn't know he was this egotistical.

"How about you back off?" He spoke, wrapping an arm around Rae's waist and positioning himself almost in front of her. It might've been a little boyfriend-y of him, but even if they weren't officially dating she was still his date, and Rae didn't seem like the type of girl to enjoy asshole like Bryan's attention.

River

He wasn’t sure if he had wanted to go to the Halloween/Birthday mashup, but River was bored and didn’t have much inspiration to write anything for the night. His green eyes kept dragging to his phone as he sat in front of a computer screen, one line of text on an otherwise blank document standing out so starkly to him that it was almost painful. Maybe she really was going to be there... River leaned back in his chair and ran his fingers aggressively through his hair. She was going to Westbrook now, so why wouldn’t she go to an open invite party where the entire school was basically going to be there? He was acting like he wasn’t sure she would be there even though she said she was definitely going to. The boy gave a heavy sigh. He would never admit that he was nervous, but boy was he. Riv finally gave in, refusing to let himself get all wound up for someone he had never even met before. Well, at least he had a costume: Westley from The Princess Bride with the black mask, black outfit, and fake foam sword. Favorite book and favorite movie...more things he would never divest to a single soul.

He hitched a ride to the Vaughn’s house and found himself already bombarded with drunks and loud music. River greeted a few before feeling his phone buzz. It was her. The corner of his mouth quirked up in amusement as he read the DM. No way he would tell her that. He responded with ‘You’ll have to guess’ before accidentally bumping into a winged girl. Clearing his throat in surprise, River took a step back, put his phone back into his pocket, and rose his eyebrows at the girl before him. “Hey, would you look at that. How’s it going, Harvard?”

Scarlet

The shot burned her throat but it was familiar feeling; it was one of the only things that felt familiar to her since she had moved there, and she couldn’t wait to get more of it. Mads hand slid into hers, and Scarlet could feel the heat in her chest spread. She smiled and gave a gentle squeeze back. Though the transition back into a more social life was daunting and extremely intimidating, Scar had managed to meet nice people right off the bat. For that, she was thankful. And thankful for Madison, since he had been so quick to accept her and bond over their lack of knowledge around the area.

“Smoke and Fire? We’ll need cards.” She looked to a table that was set up in the kitchen with cups and alcohol and random party trinkets. A pack of playing cards most likely set there to aid in this exact situation sat untouched. She regrettably released Mads to retrieve them and pull them out, giving them a good shuffle as she explained. “So you’ll get a card, face down so you can’t see it, and before you flip it over you have to guess what color the card will be by saying fire or smoke. Fire is red and smoke is black.” Scarlet finished shuffling and put the deck in the middle of them. “If you’re wrong, you take a shot.” Once she was finished explaining the small drinking game, the brunette leaned into the blonde boy beside her and took his hand again.

Just as she was finished explaining, a rather well dressed girl approached. Though she paid her and Mads no mind, Scar smiled and gave her shoulder a gentle tap. “Do you want to play, too?”

Sawyer
Sawyer was glad to have been welcomed to stay over. She wasn't going to ask but she figured she probably should, just to be courteous. After all, they'd only gotten close pretty recently and she didn't quite know much footing she had just yet. Speaking of getting close to people, Sawyer had made friends with more people she probably never would've been friends with if it weren't for Grace. It was like, she suddenly saw things in a lot more color and could finally open up to other people. Before Grace, Ryan had been the only one who could really get her to open up but now....well there was a lot of opening up going on these days.

A few minutes later, Sawyer found herself exiting the bathroom after parting from Grace begrudgingly to use it. She was attempting to push her way through the people in the hall when a hand shot out and grabbed her around the wrist. Suddenly, she was being yanked blindly through a bunch of teenagers and pulled around a considerably clear corner. When her eyes adjusted she was brought face to face with the bitch herself, Natalie Porter. Sawyer rolled her eyes and started to walk off but before she could do so Natalie grabbed her again and spun her back around, now invading her personal space.

"Sawyer, wait, I want to talk to you." Natalie's eyes were pleading but Sawyer wasn't falling for this game she was trying to play. Not again.

"We have nothing to talk about, Nat. Now if you'll excuse me I have a girlfriend to get back to." Sawyer tried to leave again but Natalie ran around her to block her path. The pleading look was now gone from her eyes and replaced with something Sawyer didn't recognize, which gave her pause and she didn't attempt to move again.

"Listen to me, I....I didn't know who else to go to. I don't have anyone else to go to." Natalie looked at the ground and then back up to Sawyer, "You remember Reid?" Sawyer only nodded her head in confirmation, remembering Reid Green as a boy who had graduated last year and been a bit of a nuisance to Natalie. Sawyer was pretty sure they'd had something going on even while she and Natalie were together.

"I'm pregnant, Sawyer. I'm pregnant and I don't know what to do."

Sawyer was taken aback but then she wasn't. Nstalie was crying and Sawyer was fuming and somehow Sawyer had Natalie backed up into a wall and she couldn't even hear herself yelling. All that was coming through her ears was white noise and the but she knew exactly what she was saying.

"It was fucking you. You're the one who turned all that shit on Grace. Twitter. Her locker." Sawyer turned away from Natalie and put a hand on her hand, the white noise dissipating, "God damnit, Nat. You just had to have your fun." She turned back to Natalie, "You should've just fucking told me instead of spreading that rumor, I might've helped you then." Natalie was sobbing and Sawyer was done with this damn conversation. She started to leave for the third time but stopped again when Natalie spoke.

"Sawyer. Sawyer, please what am I supposed to do? My parents they-" Sawyer wasn't having this, she started walking and Natalie followed.

"That's not my problem. Get the hell away from me. I'm tired of your manipulative shit. You're always the same." Natalie tried to grab Sawyer's wrist again but Sawyer practically threw her off with a glare and Natalie quit following as Sawyer wove through the crowd in search of her girlfriend.

Drake
Lil Shirt Puff.gif

Oh right... maybe he shouldn't have... huh. Well, a lot of people assumed Drake was all for dudes only based on how he acted, so it wasn't like Drake was surprised, but he did feel the need to clarify exactly what was going on. So he waited until they had gone to the next house, gotten their delicious free candy, and were on their way to the next before clarifying. "Alright, so let me just make it clear. I am not gay. I am bisexual. I love girls, and guys. I love everyone." Okay, what a way to go about this and explain your sexuality. Wow. Drake was not on top of it today although, well, was he ever?

When she thanked him, Drake couldn't help but crack into a huge grin as he looked down at his heavy bag of candy. "No problem, I mean, free candy is great..." he trailed off, looking back towards the Vaughn house. "Uhh... we should probably get back to the party, but first..." Drake turned to her with a smile. "Can you just ask me trick or treat?"

Ash
Lookin UP.gif

She took the shot, not really making a cheer to anyone or anything. The boys had done good enough and for her, well, this shot wasn't to friends or relationships -- it was to getting drunk and having a good time. It burned a bit on the way down, but Ash was thrilled to have it. "Smoke or Fire? Sounds fun." She said, smiling as she refilled everyone's shot glasses. "I feel like whoever guesses wrong is actually winning, not losing because... y'know... shots." Ash shrugged, taking another shot before they started the game, and then refilling her glass again. Yeah. She was definitely going to have to call Jace to pick her up.

Ash looked over at the new girl, and scooted closer to Ryder just to make sure that this new girl didn't try anything. What? Ash wasn't about taking risks with the first decent relationship that she felt like she had. "What's your name?" She asked as she grabbed another shot glass, filled it, and slid it over to the girl.

Adriane
ADRIANE.jpg

Okay, so simply flirting with a guy had turned into several shots and then some kissing, making out, and well... now she was perched up on the sink of one of the bathrooms in Alaska's house, with the guy whose name she didn't know kissing her, and everything was great and good and all thoughts of that stupid Mason had disappeared, and Adriane was lost in the moment.

Well, until the door opened. Adriane pulled away from the guy, her arms still around his waist to look over his shoulder and see who had invaded. And... it was Alaska, the girl of the hour, and Carter, the fake redhead. "Well, can't get Mason so you go for the girl he drunk fucked? Wow, Carter. So classy."

Grace
tumblr_inline_os8mpaNohk1t1nqt6_540.gif

While all the girls were doing their own thing Grace took the opportunity to explore around the house. Slowly starting to dislike the buzz she was feeling from the drinks earlier, maybe.. it was way more than a buzz. She was fully drunk. Grace was a lightweight, yes. But if you ever said it she'd highly deny it. Grace strolled through the halls of the mansion, when her gaze landed on Sawyer with.. Natalie? She blinked a few times unsure what she was seeing, despite their very.. close proximity to each-other, which bothered her deeply. But she trusted Sawyer, she was sure it was nothing.. Right? No, yeah. Probably just another argument or something.. yeah.. Grace actually tore her gaze away when something else had caught her attention, catching sight of Ryder..? It was obviously Ryder, it's the devil costume. Leading a brunette away from the party itself. Grace furrowed her brows, unless Ash had dyed her hair in the past hour. That wasn't Ash, taking a last glance at Sawyer and Natalie, Grace followed the two. Just in-case, she wasn't going to sit here and watch her best friend's boyfriend sneak away with another girl, without finding out anything? If someone believed that then they didn't know Grace very well.

Grace rounded a corner, and skid to a stop as she saw Ryder making out with that same brunette. Grace's eyes went wide as she turned around, quickly walking away before either of them realized she was there. Wow. Okay. What's she supposed to do now? She should find Ash, right. Yeah. She started to make her way through the party and she caught eyes with Sawyer, biting her lip before walking up to her. "Hey.." Even though Grace's mind was kind of occupied with whatever the hell she just witnessed, She also wanted to know what that Natalie thing was about. Sawyer probably tell her anyway. "Hey." She gave her a weak smile. Looking around the party for her best friend, while she continued. "What happened with Natalie? earlier.. i saw you two talking."

Maisie
tumblr_pjnoiyvGzy1uz4mb8o7_r1_250.gif
Maisie nodded understandably, oh.. so he wasn't gay.. he liked boys and girls. "Oh. Cool. Cool.. i-uh.. i love everyone too." Maisie wasn't bisexual, but she kind of saw everyone as equals really, it depended on the person and how they were like for her, gender.. or anything they decided to identify as didn't matter to her, although she hadn't had a crush that'd lasted a while anyway, or a relationship. But that didn't bother her really, whenever she finds someone she really likes.. maybe a relationship would be a thing someday. Nodding begrudgingly when he told her they should probably get back to the party, almost dreading it.

Silently hoping nothing went wrong with Rowan, maybe she should've just stood and been a lookout.. hopefully everything worked out the way it was supposed to, and no-one would blame her for not showing up. Maisie was pulled out of her thoughts, looking at Drake and furrowing her brows at him, a little confused at him and his words but decided to humor him anyway, with an unsure grin she watched him with curiosity. "Trick or treat?"

Carter
originaljbjk.gif

Alaska and her had probably gone a bit far, but they were both drunk, and being drunk meant making mistakes. As long as they were having fun, who really cared. Carter couldn't keep her self from giggling, Alaska was fun. Unfortunately their make-out session was cut short by the accidental walk in on another couple. She giggled a bit, "Oh sorr-" Within a moment she realized who she had walked in on and it was one of the most sobering moments of her life.

"Oh FUCK no." She removed herself from Alaska. "Are you FUCKING kidding me." She got right up in Adriane's face. "YOU COME BACK, YOU WRAP MASON RIGHT BACK AROUND YOUR FINGER." She kept moving closer and closer into her face. "AND YOU GO RIGHT BACK TO THIS SHIT" Her fists tightened, every single muscle was tightening, and she was doing everything to hold herself back.

Adriane breathed the wrong way, and Carter was officially set off, and her face changed a dark side of her came through. Someone she usually tried her best to hide. But she was done with dealing with this bitch, she reached out grabbing a hand full of her red hair and wrapping her hand through it. She dragged the girl out of the bathroom and chucked her to the ground.

Carter followed her right after, she used her knees to pin Adriane's arms down on her side. Between the alcohol and being done with Adriane's shit, she wasn't thinking straight. But she no longer cared, she didn't care what Mason thought, she didn't care what everyone thought. This was worth it, she'd been wanting to do it since she Mason met Adriane. "I'm done with you and your shit." Punching her straight in the jaw.

Rae was enjoying having some alone time with Chase, and slowly warming up to the idea of meeting his friends, when some arrogant guy came up and walked in between them. He obviously hadn't picked up on the fact that Chase and her weren't just being friendly. That or he just didn't care and thought he was better. "I.. I.."

When Chase wrapped his arm around her she felt a wave of comfort come around her, stepping in front of her made her feel protected. In any other light it may have looked a little possessive, but she wasn't the type to ever want attention, let alone from someone so aggressive. She took a small step pinning herself closer to Chase's side.

Ryder

giphy.gif

"I'm happy I get to spend my birthday with you." Ryder said to Ash as the other couple went off to find playing cards. There was no one else he really wanted to spend the day with, in fact he would've rather cancelled the party and just relaxed with his girlfriend, but so far the night was going well and he couldn't complain. They were getting drunk with their friends and no one was causing any trouble, it was all he could've asked for.

Right when the other couple returned a younger girl he didn't recognize came up to talk to them. "Hey, you should definitely join us!" He agreed with Scarlet, there was always more fun drinking with more people, and it was a great way to get to know someone new.

"All right, I'll go first." He stated once Scarlet explained the rules to the group. "Smoke?" He guessed, flipping the card to reveal that it was red. Groaning in defeat, he poured himself a shot and tossed it back, waiting for the next person to go.

Madison followed Scar while she looked for cards. "The last uhm, the last time a girl called Alice came here from your world she brought down the whole House of Cards. Oh yeah. Made quite an impression." He nudged his own Alice with his elbow as they walked back to the table. He knew he was a bit of a nerd. He shrugged as they sat back down at the table.

"Seems easy enough." Mads smiled getting ready to flip a card when someone he didn't recognize came over, acting completely unaware of Scarlet and him sitting across the table. "I think Ash has a point, I may try to get it wrong." Madison winked at Scarlet, it was so nice of her to invite this other new girl to their game, despite the fact she came up without acknowledging them.

"Alright, 50/50 chance..." He squinted one eye. "I think fire?" He flipped it over. "Dammitttttt... I was right.. No shot for me." He pouted his lip, looking at his shot glass beside his hand.

Neck Tie

DnEQw7v.gif

Westbrook wolf and Casper the Friendly Ghost walked into the KFC together, the wolf holding the door for his friend. All eyes triangulated on them as soon as they entered.

Neck Tie bumbled up to the counter with Casper alongside him. The server looked at them funny. She must have thought they were complete dorks ordering chicken in their stupid costumes. Did she not know it was Halloween?

He took out his wallet again and counted the coins, showing them to the server. They nearly had enough for a combo meal for two, but came up just 50c short. The server helped them out though, trying to hide her smile the whole time as she worked the cashier.

A moment later, Neck Tie received the tray with their chicken and fries and drinks and gravy and everything. They sat down at a small table by the window, watching the traffic in front of the petrol station. Then Neck Tie held a chicken drumstick to his nose. ‘MMmm it smells so good. . .’ He took a succulent bite and the chicken was so hot that the steam came drifting off the bone. ‘Hey Casper, which do you like better? McDonalds or KFC?’

He opened the lids of the coleslaw and the mash and gravy, sliding them in front of his friend. ‘Your brother. . . Aaron. . . Does he not like trick or treating?’ he asked, taking another bite of the greasy chicken.

Sawyer
When Sawyer finally spotted Grace in the crowd she was relieved. She wanted to stay as far away from Natalie as possible and she doubted the dark haired girl would attempt to approach her again if she was with Grace. The second Sawyer got to her though her relievedness disappeared when Grace asked what that had been about. Sawyer sighed and scratched at the side of her face. She couldn't very well tell Grace that it was Natalie who was actually pregnant, at least not here. So, she'd have to tell the smallest of white lies until she could actually tell her.

"Nothing. Natalie was just being weird. As per usual." Sawyer noticed the shiftiness in Grace's eyes and the way she didn't seen to be quite focused on Sawyer. She glanced over her shoulder to see if she could see what Grace was looking for but found no luck.

"Are you okay? Did something happen?" She asked as she turned back to face Grace, any thoughts about Natalie replaced with subtle worry and curiosity.

Bryan rolled his eyes when his attempt at flirtation was interrupted by Chase. He let out a heavy sigh and folded his arms against his chest after sitting his bow on the counter top. It seemed that these days every girl, besides Lexi who he needed to find at some point, had some kind of knight in shining armor to protect them from him. Oh, big bad Bryan, so dangerous. Chivalry could bite him. Bryan knew the only reason they did it was because he was a certified jerk but what could you expect from a boy who's been raised to be one? Certainly not Mr. Smiley.

"Oh, chill out, Chase." Bryan waved him off with a hand, "The last time I checked, you didn't have a girlfriend and I'm allowed to flirt with whoever I want." He smiled at the girl behind Chase before turning his attention back to Chase, "I'm not gonna eat her or something. You people act like I'm some kind of scary monster sometimes." Bryan snorted and pushed himself up off the counter and smiled at Chase too.

"I can get behind you protecting your claim or whatever, though. Nice catch, she's hot." Bryan patted Chase on the shoulder.

Grace
tumblr_inline_os8mpaNohk1t1nqt6_540.gif
Grace was still a little uneasy about Sawyer’s answer, but assured anyway. Natalie was weird, and that was the one way to put it. If it was something important enough Sawyer would tell her, she knew that. At least she hoped anyway. Meeting her eyes when she’d asked if everything was okay, no, no. Not everything was okay. What even she even see earlier? Grace wasn’t ready to tell Ash yet another boyfriend wasn’t a good one. ..maybe she was wrong though?

She lowered her voice incase someone near here decided to be nosy, which was obviously everyone in WestBrook. So can’t hurt to be safe. “I’m.. 85 percent sure I’d seen Ryder kissing someone else and now I’m freaked out, being drunk isn’t helping, and i have to find Ash. But suddenly it’s like almost every blonde had decided to go as a maid for tonight so y’know no. Not everything is okay.” That was a mouthful and Grace found herself taking a breath because of the hurried words she’d spoke.

“How am i even supposed to tell her?” Grace groaned, rubbing at her eyes and blinking a few times before leaning her on Sawyer’s shoulder, dreading that conversation that she was going to need to talk to Ash about, this wasn’t a thing she could just brush off and never speak about it again. “Parties.. suck.” She stated. Closing her eyes to stop the room from spinning, whatever shots Carter had gave her wasn’t very good. She was drunk though, wasn’t that the goal?
