June
June smiled brightly as well when she agreed. She was slightly worried that she would deny after the blog stuff. Yeah, it’s been a whole month and then some, but she started to assume. It made her happy to realize that Georgia hadn’t fully succeeded at ruining her life.

She followed behind Ash and looked down at all the shades of reds she hung over her arm. “I mean, no.” She said bluntly. “Mason likes red, so... I thought he would like it.” She did a horrible time at trying not to blush. Her favorite color was green only because she loved her plants. But, Phoenix also said she would look good in red. So, she trusted everyone else besides herself on the color. “As for the style. I like something that’s...flow-y.” She struggled for the word. “Something that looks pretty when you are dancing or even walking. Maybe flowers. You could never go wrong with flowers. However, it might ruin the red.” She paused as she realizing something. “I could help you too. I mean, I’m not the best at choosing dresses, but I know when something looks great on someone.” She takes pictures afterall, she knows a perfect picture when she sees one.

"Oh yeah, I forgot you're going with Mason." Okay, okay, so Ash hadn't forgotten. How could she? That had been a pinnacle of the fight just... wow, was it really only yesterday. "That'll be so sweet. You two seem like you'd make a good couple... a little bit of a weird couple, but good." She added with a little laugh.

"But you shouldn't wear red just because he likes it." Ash pointed out as she started looking at the dresses. "Wear something that you think you look good in. Trust me. It's not fun going to dances if you're just trying to impress others." Yeah, that was something she had learned the hard way, and still failed at being able to follow. A little piece of advice that she knew she'd never be able to honor. Her entire existence was built on the need to impress others. "Ooh, you'd look so cute in like a white dress with flowers, but if you really want to go red..." she paused, biting her lip, and then pulled out a couple red dresses, passing them to June. "These aren't like super tight, and they shouldn't have too deep of a neckline. So like, they'll puff out if you twirl. If that makes sense."

At the offer to help Ash look for a dress, she grinned. "That would be awesome. I honestly don't even know where to start for something."

She frowned a bit when she said weird, but she also understood. He tended to be agressive and she tended to not be. Not to mention other things. So, her statement had truth. As well as her piece of advice. She fidgeted a little thinking about it. Was she actually trying to impress Mason? No, well, yes. She felt like she needed to partially. Anything to make him happy, anything to make anyone happy. She was okay not going with her favorite color, it was better to do stuff for others anyways. “Right...” Was all she murmured.

“I’m not sure about white. It’ll be horrible if I stained it. I really don’t mind red.” She mentioned before grabbing the dresses Ash had tossed her way. “Yeah, I don’t really want a low neckline. And the puffying out sounds great!” She said happily looking down at the dresses. Then she looked up at her and started thinking. “Blue.” She said instantly. “Blue would make you look like... winter. Everyone loves winter. I think you should try looking for a blue dress.” She paused as she looked at her red dresses. “I hope we don’t add white to it. That’s a little too patriotic for my tastes.” She joked when she realized their almost American theme.

Rae was so grateful for Kerry pulling her away, she just didn't want to admit it. She was getting better at meeting people, and being open but she wasn't great at a bunch of new people at once who all knew each other. She always worried she was going to be some joke between them when she first meets a large group of people. "Uhh.. I think dark, if I'm dressing up I might as well be dramatic.." She didn't love attention on her, but if she was going to do it, she might as well go all out. "Not anything super tight, and I don't do gems" She smiled, and started looking through the racks.

Well, she had a few options. She could either head on over to the park right now, or head over to Drake and that whole shopping thing... Seeing as she hasn't gotten a response from him, she decided to do the first thing. And so, typing away, she turned in the direction of the park.... at least where she thought the park would be.

"If I head over there now, would you make it? Also I was, but I don't know if they're still there, and I won't risk it"

She put her Nokia back into her pocket and headed off, being wary of the signs. But she was making it there, slowly but surely.
The girl figured she could maybe go tomorrow

Raven looked through the dresses, rolling her eyes at the dresses she'd found. Nothing here seemed interesting enough for her to wear. Well.. more her enough to wear, what was she even doing here? Her eyes roamed the store out of boredom, catching sight of the red-head, Right.. that's why she came here. Taking a quick look through one of the racks and grabbing a dress, sauntering closer to the two. Stepping closely behind June and raising the dress against her, looking towards the blonde.

"Hmm.. what do you think?" Without letting Ash answer, Raven tilted her head to the side. "I agree." Grinning, she took a few steps away from June.

"Go! try it on." She shoo'd her towards a changing room, crossing her arms. "So, who's your date?" Raven asked Ash, raising a brow. Genuinely curious on who the cheerleader decided to pick, after all.. Didn't she have two options?

June was adorable, and Ash was starting to see what Mason saw in her. She laughed lightly at her joke about the whole patriots thing. "Don't worry. I don't want to look like an American flag." But before she could say much else, out of nowhere came Raven like a flurry. Before Ash could even really say anything, her attention was turned to June, and then she was ushering June away and the two were standing there alone. "Uhh... let us know if you need help with it." Ash said, awkwardly.

And then she had to ask the question about who Ash was going with, and her cheeks turned bright red. "O-oh. Well, I really only... had... uh... Ryder." Okay, that was a lie. She had politely told Ryan that she was no longer interested. "But now he got suspended from throwing Mason into a table, so uh... no one." She shrugged as if it didn't bother her, but let's be honest, it was eating at Ash.

Ryan watched as she drove off. "Oh fuck no..." He said flooring Michelle. She was already gone, but when pushed to a point, Michelle would break any limits she had. Ryan was rushing in and out of traffic. Running redlights and passing by minivans and cars a like. He knew what spot she was talking about so he rushed there. But he wasn't quick enough. Hajar was there before him. Maybe Ryan let her win, maybe he didn't the world will never know. He shut Michelle down. "Well Hajar... Looks like you won this one. So I owe you a drink, and something else I take it."

She smiled a bit as Ash liked her joke. She was going to say something else until Raven had startled her with a dress. She looked down at it and looked over at Raven. “You really think—“ She was cut off as Raven moved her to the dressing room. Of course, she went inside without fighting and shut the stall behind her. She looked at the dresses and hung them up. She took off her clothes and started to put the dresses on. Then, her eyes drifted around her body as she found her scars. She knew she shouldn’t be looking at them, she was afraid too many people would notice. She couldn’t hide the one on her cheek, but she could hide the ones around her body. Luckily this dress was able to cover up a majority of them. “Okay guys!” She called out before opening the stall and walking out. “This is the first one. What do you think...?”

She tried not to fidget in it. It felt odd to her because it felt so new and nice. She had no clue if it looked good or bad. But, I guess that’s what Ash and Raven would decide.

“I mean I already had the six pack, but I guess a kiss for payment will do just fine.” She leaned up on her toes and planted a soft kiss on his lips before pulling her back pack off, grabbing one of the bottles tucked inside. “Come on and sit with me.” Hajar smiled up at him and slipped over the edge of the lookout, taking a seat as she dropped to the ground and crossed her legs, “I miss London...” She mumbled to herself before taking a sip from the bottle, her dark eyes twinkling in the night.

“Come on pup.” He wrestles Dolly into her blazing orange harness, it a took a minute because she thought it was play time instead of go time so she was happily chewing on his fingers. “Sometimes I swear you’re still a puppy...” Shiloh was shaking his head but clipped her leash on and jogged out the door, sliding into the driver’s seat with ease. He cranked up the radio and spun his tires, kicking up gravel as he peeled out of the gravel lot in front of the house. It wasn’t a long drive to the park because the roads were empty of thick traffic. He found a nice shady spot under a tree once he got there and parked, letting Dolly run off her lead around the trees in search of squirrels as he took a seat and waited on Eli.

Phoenix smiled at her, “Of course, something dark with sleeves and lace..” he shook his head at her disapproval of jewels, “Only strippers wear those gaudy jewels.” He was tutting his tongue like an old grandma as he peeled through the racks. “How do you feel about a slit up the leg.. you’ve got amazing thighs why not show them off.” He gave her thighs a light touch, “All that horse riding muscle..” he made a face, “I wish I had those muscles but I’m a little stick.”

There it was. The park. Elizabeth was not sure where Shiloh was, but she appreciated the atmosphere this place created as she slowly made her way through it.
She did like to walk her dad's york in the Portland's park, and she always liked the feeling. But, as she thought out, she didn't notice that a coonhound was poking around in the trees near her, sniffing the ground in search of squirrels. She was still thinking too much, the place felt nostalgic.

After a short while, she stopped walking, having been consumed by thoughts. Eli pulled out her phone as she remembered she got some pictures of her old park, trying to see if she could find them, not paying attention to anything else at that moment.

She felt a little sad at the mention of riding, “too bad these muscles won’t be around long, since I won’t get to ride anytime soon.“ She pulled her self back out. “Guess I should use them while I got them “ she forced a laugh. “Lace is a great idea, I love lace” she picked out a few dresses and then looked to Kerry. “You’re the one with the best eye here. I trust your opinion over my own”

Ryan had taken a bottle from her after she kissed him. He opened it up and sat down next to her. "Did you think that I was going to win, and you were going to lose?" He said before taking a sip from his drink. "Cause I don't mind repaying if that is what you want." He said before putting his hand on her back and running it up and down. She then talked about London. "I'm sorry to hear that you miss it. Is there anything I can do for you.... My little Crumpit." He said with the biggest shit eatting grin. She was going to probably hit him or worse, stab him but he didn't care.

She just gave him a silent and unending glare before popping him upside the back of his head, “You’re lucky your cute and a good kisser or I’d have to cut you.” Hajar tried to make a serious face but failed and shook her head with a smile before scooting closer to him, snuggling into his side with a soft sigh. “It’s gonna be a long time before I could ever go back to London so I won’t hold my breath.” She took another sip, looking up at him before back down on the city with a sigh. “Dumb shit we did... well I did.”

Raven couldn't help but notice her cheeks redden, an amused smile came across Raven's face, she forgot that Ryder had gotten suspended.. Raven rolled her eyes. "Please, you have way more options than just Ryder." It was obvious the cheerleader was a catch, maybe she just didn't have much luck in that department. Poor girl. "So, you don't have a date." Raven shrugged. "Who really needs one anyway?" Maybe Raven wanted a date, sure. But that was just because of Mason. She didn't want it to look like she couldn't get a date, Raven could get anyone, she eyed Ash for second.. well maybe not everyone. Rephrasing. Raven could have anyone she actually wanted.

Turning her head to the sound of June's voice, widening her eyes. Holy shit... Okay, Raven quickly regained her composure. "Second time you left me speechless today." She smiled. "The dress is..very nice." She was more-than glad that she picked out the dress. Although, she couldn't help but remember any dress they were getting.. Mason was the one who June was really trying to wow. Okay, so maybe.. Raven couldn't have anyone she wanted. "Do you like it?"

He loved the feeling of having of Hajar close to him. She was warm and felt so nice next to him. "Get any closer and you might end up sitting on my lap." He said putting his arm around her. She talked about the dumb shit she did. He took a sip from his bottle. "What did you do that makes it so you can't go back?" She hadn't really talked a lot about it. Was that guy who was trying to hurt her because of london? Ryan was getting more interested in who Hajar Giles really was. To him she was this mystery wrapped up in a tought exterior, shrowded in darkness that is covering a warm girl.

Hajar looked at him, looked at his lap then back at him before scooting into his lap with a mischievous grin spreading across her lips. “There I’ll just go ahead and do that now.” Her lips were light against the skin of neck, landing soft kisses from the base of his neck to the corner of his jaw. “Well it’s a long shit story that starts when I was kid... you have anywhere to be quickly?” She set her bottle down and snuggled closer into his chest, breathing out a low sigh.

Ryan smiled as Hajar had sat on his lap. She wasn't heavy, and she was sitting on his lap in a manner that would make him uncomfortable. "You're looking for trouble." He said with a grin. He felt her press her head into his chest. This moment was perfect. He wrapped his arms around her and took it in for a second. She started to speak again, asking if he had anywhere to be. "The only place I have to be is here. I'm not going anywhere." He said planting a kiss upon her forehead. "So what did little Hajar do that caused her to be this bad girl that's sitting in my lap." He said holding her tight.

Neck Tie

DnEQw7v.gif

Neck Tie chuckled and then flinched as Mason’s hand connected with the back of his head. He sprang up from the grass and now the backside of his pants was wet and green, but it was well worth it. ‘Mason, you should’ve seen the look on your face!’ he said, and smiled back at him, and for a moment forgetting that they had been mortal enemies. As soon as this was remembered, their eyes broke connection and the boys quietly resumed their walk to the apartment.

When they arrived, he got a bit nervous as Mason told him about a woman whom he wasn’t supposed to talk to. Mason made it sound like there was a witch living his apartment that could kill you if you made eye-contact with it. Putting his hands in his pockets, Neck Tie waited while the older boy fumbled for the keys. A cold breeze of air brought goosebumps to his arms.

The door creaked open and the light spilled inside, illuminating the dusty room. The fumes almost repelled the boy backwards. The whole place stank of liquor and damp unwashed towels. Neck Tie stuck close to the older boy as they pushed forward, glancing left and right with muted curiosity.

He was also on the lookout for that witch, half-expecting it to leap out at him from the shadows and devour him. As they moved deeper into this sad excuse of an apartment, Neck Tie nearly tripped over a beer bottle. He only managed to keep his balance by clutching at the back of Mason’s shirt.

They were finally in Mason’s room, and Neck Tie found himself an empty spot in which to stand, a feat more difficult than it sounded. His eyes trailed up to the twin bed. ‘Is that Drake’s bed?’ he asked, curiously, pointing at the filthier of the two beds. No wonder Drake smelt like garbage when he visited him at the hospital. Neck Tie wasn’t too bothered, though. He was no stranger to filth, his old house always smelling like sheep manure whenever they left the windows open. But at least that filth was outside, and you could at least shut the windows to get away from it. This was something different. . .

Once his nose had adjusted to the stink of the place, and his eyes to the sights, he began wandering around Mason’s little room, running his hand gently along the wall whose paint was peeling off, and carefully picking a decor up here and there. ‘Hey Mason, what’s this?’ He pointed at the strange object that was sitting on top of the dresser. ‘Do you not have a TV?’ said chatterbox, ‘My old room was even smaller than this. . . It was practically a cupboard! And it was part of the attic, too, so the ceiling was kinda sloped. . . And I always hit my head when I get up.’ Not sure why Mason needed to know that, but there it is anyway.

Oh yes, they were here to make that pie costume. He nearly forgot about that. ’Oh yeah, do you have any cardboard as well?’ he said. ‘Where are we going to make it, though?’ He tried to see if there was enough space on the floor. What floor?

Okay, she wouldn't say a ton of options but still, the vote of confidence from Raven made her feel kind of, well, cool. Although she did laugh when Raven said it, shaking her head at the idea of Ash just having numerous options. No, now, her options were basically just Ryder... right? There weren't any secret guys that liked her... right? God, she hoped not. Ash could only handle so much relationship drama in one year, and she hated having to decide.

Anyway, when June came out, asking them what they thought, Ash was silent for a moment. "It's... wow, you look gorgeous." Ash admitted. She loved the dress, and it fit June perfectly. "How do you feel? Do you like it?" She asked, echoing Raven's questions. For a moment, she glanced over at Raven. Jeez, she was really... staring at June. "Hey, pick your jaw up off the floor." Ash muttered at her.

He pulled a box out from underneath his bed, and started sorting through it while Stu walked around. Mason glanced up from the box when Stu would ask questions. "Yeah. He's really bad about cleaning, and especially doing laundry. I just gave up." He explained with a shrug before he turned back to the box. Mainly garbage. Finally, he found a pair of scissors, which he pulled out and tossed on the ground next to him before shoving the box back and pulling out another one.

Mason looked up when Stu pointed at an old music box on the dresser. "Our music box. We used to play it every night when we were kids to put ourselves to sleep. Been meaning to take it down to the pawn shop, but... kinda hard to part with." He shrugged, pulling out a few packages of half empty balloons. "And yeah, no TV. No room, really, and Drake and I don't watch a lot of TV, anyway." Mason stopped in his searching to look at Stu as he explained his room, and shook his head. "Wow. That explains a lot. Must've knocked out a few brain cells hitting your head every day, am I right?" He asked.

"No cardboard." Mason said as he pulled out the duct tape and kicked the box back under his bed. "But we can find some cardboard in a dumpster. There's some dumpsters that are just for cardboard. So I'll toss you in, you pick the perfect piece, and then you can get started on the costume while I set up the stand. Okay?"

Wow, Mason had never thought that he would be making a pie stand, let alone a pie stand with Neck Tie. But here he was and he hated to admit it, but the little kid was actually decent company. "C'mon. We'll go outside and make it. Don't want to wake my mom." Mason said, scooping up the things he had found before leading the way back out of the apartment.

While everyone else tried on dresses and fawned over eachother, Sawyer decided to try and make herself useful and help Grace. She realised she probably wasn't the best to be giving fashion advice, but that didn't mean she didn't know what her girlfriend would look good in. There was already a suit ready for Sawyer at home, a pink one but Sawyer didn't care about the color because it looked good, so she figured it would be cute (or whatever) if they matched. So, Sawyer ran her fingers over a rack of fabric, skipping over anything that didn't quite match when she suddenly stopped on one. Sawyer smiled and pulled a light pink dress off its rack. Holding it in the air she appraised the thing for a second before deciding that she liked it. Brown eyes now looked up to scan the store for Grace.

"Grace, babe." Sawyer called out and made her way over the the girl, holding the dress out in front of her, "Check it out, we could match." The grin on her face could be classified as giddy if someone wanted to get punched, but it was giddy none the less. If she was being completely honest, Sawyer would live to match like one of those cutesy couples that used to make her want to hurl. That's right, she used to want to hurl at the very idea of stuff like this. Holy shit. What was this woman turning her into? Sawyer shook herself from her thoughts and returned to smiling at Grace.

"My suit is pink, believe it or not. So.." She offered the dress up to Grace.

Neck Tie

An8KQQo.gif

‘Yeah, I guess it must have been that,’ Neck Tie replied, ‘I get a pretty good view from my window, though.’ Not just of the sheep, but the hills and yonder, too. ‘It’s kind of peaceful,’ he said wistfully. He would lock himself up there whenever his parents were fighting and throwing plates at each other downstairs.

He circled back to the music box, studying it some more, and then winding it up gently, being extra careful not to break it since he knew it meant so much to Mason. ‘My mum, she also bought a music box. . . for my twin brothers, Josh and Nick. They’re like, really little,’ he told him. Nick was the talkative one, and asked about 70 questions a day (Stu actually counted). Josh was an explorer, and Stu got a shock when Josh knocked on his door one day after he’d climbed the whole flight of stairs by himself, unattended. He still remembered them waving bye-bye to him as the taxi took him away to meet Dad at the airport. They didn’t cry, but Stu did.

‘It’s alright, lad, you’ll see them again soon,’ said the driver, looking at the boy pitifully in the rearview mirror.

Stu buried his eyes in his handkerchief to dry them.

‘Now, are you going on a little holiday with your Dad, then?’ asked the driver.

The boy didn’t answer. He rested his temple against the cold glass and watched Sheep Street as it passed him by for one last time.

‘Well my boy, I’m sure you’ll have quite the adventure, wherever you’re off to with your old man. . . You know, I won’t be missing this boring old patch o’ green if I was you, now lad. It will still be here when you return.’

Dad said they weren’t planning on having the twins. He just wanted one child, and Stu was already enough trouble by himself. But Mum always wanted two — one to look out for the other. So when the twins were born, she’d gotten a lot more than she bargained for.

Stu didn’t want to go to America. He loved his Dad but he loved his brothers more. Dad never really talked that much. He was always reading in his little study, a no-disturb zone cordoned off by a great wall of books and journals. He’d gotten his PhD and had just gotten his book published. The twins being dropped out of the blue changed everything.

Dad said he would change, too. He said he loved him more than anything in the world and having him in America with him would mean the world to him. Stu eventually gave in, and Dad kissed him on the forehead and gripped his shoulders. ‘Just you and me,’ he said, ‘We’ll make it work. I promise.’

Now they were outside, and Neck Tie had agreed to let Mason lift him over into the dumpster. After a fairly rough landing, he began sorting through the cardboard waste for the wholesome bits and pieces, flinging them back out at Mason one by one. 'I reckon. . . I reckon we've got enough!’ The boy shouted from the dumpster. Then he climbed back over the metal and dropped onto the ground, patting his hands and dusting his pants, and wondering if he'd earned the older boy's praise for a job well done.

June looked down at herself and twirled slightly, her hands brushing the fabric. She smiled happily when they both complimented her. Especially Raven. She was somehow acting different today. She seemed...mesmerized. Well, probably not. She didn’t doubt that she could be doing it to make her feel better.

“I mean it feels great, but I feel like it might be too short.” She said looking down at herself then looking up at them. “I know homecoming is all about short dresses, but I would like it longer.” She told them.

It didn’t take long before she went into the changing room and brought out another dress

She brushed her sleeves as she walked back out. “What do you think about the back being longer than the front?” She asked. “I think it looks cool on the rack, but how does it look on me?”

Grace was looking through of the the racks lazily, maybe she would’ve been.. in the mood for dress shopping another time. Everything felt so hectic at the moment, Grace was just ready to go home and crawl into bed. Looking up when she heard Sawyer call her. She raised a brow at the dress. Chuckling at her words. “We could, huh?” A genuine smile formed on her face. Grace wouldn’t say anything to embarrass her, she loved how involved she was getting.

“Your suit’s...pink?” Grace didn’t believe it, but you could almost see the glee on her face. “Okay, okay.” She took the dress, placing a quick kiss on her cheek. “I’ll go try it on.” Grace told her as she made her way past Sawyer into a changing room. Making a mental note to leave it up to Sawyer Andrews to brighten your mood.

After a few moments, she slowly walked out of the changing room, she couldn’t get the zipper all the way up. “Close your eyes, because i don’t want you to see it yet.” Yes, it wasn’t a wedding dress. And of course she already saw the dress, because she picked it out.. But who cares? Grace wanted homecoming night to be exciting. “Just.. with your eyes closed zip me up.”

Please?” she asked, Sawyer was probably going to have an objection to it. So why not ask nicely?

Sawyer was glad Grace had agreed to try on the dress. She didn't want to sound pushy about the matching thing. There was a moment for Sawyer to think about how out of character a lot of the things she did around Grace were. Or maybe they weren't out of character. Maybe they were just things she didn't do around everyone else. Who else could say that managed to get Sawyer Andrews to go dress shopping with them? Sawyer leaned back against a wall as she waited for Grace to change, pulling her phone put and idly scrolling through it. She only looked up when she heard Grace asking her to close her eyes. Disappointment was evident on her face but Sawyer did as she was told.

The whole zipping up thing was made a little more complicated by the fact that she couldn't see anything. So, when she stepped forward to help Grace, her hands roamed around a but feeling for the zipper. The grin on her face made it clear she was enjoying herself a little too much and when she finally did find the zipper she took her time letting her hands fall back to her sides.
