June
June frowned as he seemed to be pretty pissed about it. She saw nothing wrong with it, maybe the fact her pictures were out there. However she knew to get over it. “Wait, Mason!” She called after him, shocked at how fast he was moving with his crutches. She went to move forward and some papers slipped from her grasp. She groaned and bent down to stick them in the pile. When she stood up, she looked around and pushed the papers into some random students hands. “Go hand those out.” She told them before rushing after Mason.

She came into the newspaper room behind him, seeing he was already yelling at Raven. She moved quickly to get between them. “He’s just upset over the story since he didn’t know you were going to publish it.” She explained in a reasonable way.

Nova Abrisst
As if the heat on Nova's cheeks wasn't enough, she knew it only deepened at Jace's compliment. She felt as though underneath his adorably awkward appearance, he was probably incredibly smooth with his words, only confirming her previous thoughts of his 'hopeless romantic' status. Even right now, with those cerulean eyes just being friendly and complimenting her singing, his smile small but genuine, the brunette couldn't help but feel a small fluttering in her stomach. Jace was such a cutie, and how cute would they be together? An anti-social artsy couple, who played guitar and Nova could sketch while Jace played some other instrument in that sunflower yellow room of his, and she would steal hoodies and be cliche and they would watch The Walking Dead and-

Blinking a few times, Nova shook herself out of her unsolicited daydream, cursing her brain for being such a spaz. "It's uh, Alec Benjamin," She grinned, nodding and placing the guitar to the side, setting it down so gently, as if it were made of butterfly wings. "And I love the guitar," Nova added before pulling her legs closer, hands resting on her ankles as she flicked some hair from her face, playing with her thumb ring and meeting her eyes to his. She really did love the guitar, everything about it. It was so aesthetically pleasing to her, the sound, the look, the fact that it was a Taylor just added into it. Feigning something of a sigh of defeat in a semi-dramatic way. "If only there was someone who could teach me how to play her to her full potential," Nova joked, placing the back of her hand to her forehead and trying to suppress a laugh as she did so.

Grace
Grace shook her head, bumping her shoulder into hers’ “It isn’t whatever.” She shrugged, and when she mentioned Raven she nodded. The difference between the two was Grace appreciated girls much more. “She’s pretty. But she’s not you.” Giving her a small smile.

She mumbled a ‘thanks?’ When being told she was smart about not dating, and not clueless when it came to boys. Lie, but that’s fine. She wasn’t interested on having a debate whether or not she understood them at the moment. However. She was extremely relieved that Ash didn’t catch on, she was hoping she never will. Never is a harsh word. Grace was just hoping that she’ll tell her, herself. Given time of course. What? She will.

She was surprised when Ash said Kanen was sober. A bit proud maybe. She sighed heavily when she learned he was homeless. “He’s stubborn. Kanen don’t know how to ask for help.” Shaking her head at the fact. “And won’t unless you beat it out of him.” She said annoyed. Not that Grace would ever beat someone up. But at the moment she felt like hitting Kanen. Just for being stupid enough to live in a car.

When Ryan came over, she gave Ash a look. A look that could only be described as ‘Hey, look. He cares about what you think.’ Or an ‘I told you so.’ She looked between the two for a second. “Go.” She told her, smiling as she did. Tiliting her head in his direction. She gave a wave. And stood up off the ground, instilled with a better sense of confidence now. She was ready to begin her day, although keeping a look-out for a certain car-hobo.

Raven smiled at Ryan. “And in this case? The word works perfectly.” She stood up when he did, leaning off the desk. Watching as he grabbed his bag and started to leave. Wonder where he’s going. Her smile faded momentarily, out of surprise when he said thank you. “Anytime, partner.” Giving him a wink as he made his way out. She sighed as she was alone again. She was used to it, it was relaxing. She stood there for a few minutes before getting antsy. It was relaxing, sure. But Raven needed people to function. And as if on cue, someone came in and spoke. She rolled her eyes.

She turned around, seeing a fuming crippled Mason. Here it comes.. “Hello to you too, Handsome.” She said with a grin, it faded when she groaned hearing his words. “Nobody wants to hear about who flirted with who on social media.” She scoffed. Her eyes snapped to the newest addition to the room. “Back so soon?” She said teasingly to the shy red-head. Turning her attention back to Mason.

She raised a brow when he came closer, but didn’t move. June stepped in between them both. “Nobody ‘lets’ me do anything.” She narrowed her eyes at him. “I do what i want, Mason. And i work hard for it.” She pushed off the desk. Moving around her, so she could see him face-to-face. She opened her mouth to say more. When June spoke, she softened her attitude. Yeah, okay..

“I’m sorry, you wasn’t informed.” Tilting her head to one side, studying him. “But even if you were told, the story would’ve gotten out either way.” Raven understood why he was upset, but he had to know that. She shrugged. “End of discussion.” Arms still crossed. She spoke again. Taking the pen that previously stood on the top of her ear, clicking it a few times she asked. “Now, need me to sign your cast?” She said with a grin.

Ryan had walked outside. It was the only place that was truely quiet. He knew that they would be able to talk about everything that has happend. "Alright, so I wanted to talk to you about the party. But before I get into this discussion I just want to say, I won't raise my voice. I won't get angry, and I won't leave this place until this whole thing is resolved." He said. "Now we know what I've said about this. How do you feel about everything that happened? What is it gonna take for you to trust me in what I say? Tell me and I will do it." He said calmly. Ryan wouldn't normally go to every step to nip something like that in the butt. But for Ash, he wanted to make everything alright.

Angelina Nikki headed into school, feeling absolutely devastated. Samantha had just left her for Rian in an instant, without any plans or goodbyes. Left her own sister, who she knew admired more, for a rocky relationship. Wiping her tears away with her tissue, she opened up her locker and hid her head as the tears started to attack in full force.

Everyone's leaving me or ignoring me. Mum, Dad, now my own sister. I can't, even, get a boyfriend. First Mitchell, then James. I might call that... Rory back later; we haven't corresponded since that party. He... I can't remember much from that night.

It took days of convincing but finally he could back to school. After Angelina dropped him off he tried his best to open the door slightly and close it without making a sound. At first it seemed as if everything was going according to plan until he forgot that one step that made a lot of noise anytime someone stepped on it. He walked in to school excited to his Angelina and to learn but most importantly stay away from his mother. Before he went to his locker he noticed Angelina crying.

"Hey, babe. What's going on?"

Gasping at the familiar voice, as well as being called a lovely name, Angelina spun round to face Rory. Then loved, and regretted, it as she realised how stunning Rory was. But she looked a mess; her tears ruining her makeup. "Hey". Great, Angelina, what a greeting. "Good to see you again. I was worried I wouldn't hear from you". Great; make him feel pressured. "H... how are you"?

Kanen chuckled lightly, mostly just do to this girl's absurdity. Impressed? By some dude snapping his teammate's leg? Kanen hadn't expected to hear something like that this morning, especially not from the petite looking Brunnette. She had a point with the rumors though. One false word could spread across the school like a wildfire, until no one knew the difference between fact and fiction. People liked to believe whatever suited them most at any given time, and typically that just tended to be whatever was the most interesting story. Kanen hadn't touched the school papers, but he was sure Raven had put her own creative twist on things.

"What do you care either way?" Kane asked, sitting up a little bit straighter. "You don't know me, and doubt you know Mason. What difference does it make, whether you're hearing rumors or the truth. If you're asking, it's only out of curiosity. I could've lied to your face, and I don't think it would've changed your day at all."

"Better now that I'm here with you again", he said as he felt his cheeks turn red. Why was she so pretty? Rory looked at Angelina again. "Sorry I was gone after Rian dropped me off my mom grounded on the spot". He felt bad he wasn't there and he should have been more careful when sneaking back into the house. Or maybe he should have manged his time better. It didn't right now since the girl looked upset. Rory pulled her into his arms.

Rory's compliment made her blush also. Then he mentioned his Mum grounding him. "Did she ground you because you returned home late? Or because you told her you were busy with a girl? Well, regardless, at least your Mother is involved in your life". Next thing she knew, Rory was pulling her into his arms. She tensed, a little, before embracing him. Closing her eyes for a few moments. She wished to sink onto a private sofa with him and cuddle him forever. Even though she couldn't remember most of that night, Rory's touch was something she did retain. As well as his mere prescence.

Jace made a mental note to check out this singer later and see if any of his other songs were that pleasant. He was also thrilled to hear that she loved the guitar, and was glad that someone was getting use out of it. Sure, Jace loved to collect his instruments, but he hated never being able to use all of them. It was great to finally have someone appreciating them and using them -- and loving them to their full potential. "Glad to hear it. You can probably just keep that one. I can always buy another one if I want it." He was pretty good with his current guitar, and he couldn't really see himself ever needing a new one.

He guffawed. "Excuse me, but I do believe I already offered." Jace said, his voice dripping with sass, before adding. "Unless I mean, I'm not good enough for you and you need a much better teacher. Whatever. I get it." He said, holding his hands up in mock defeat. "It's fine. I know when I'm not meant to be your guitarist with a shining guitar." Okay, that was a really bad version of the whole "knight in shining armor" thing but whatever. Jace stood behind his stupid words.

"Well there's a million things you could've written about!" Mason replied, still obviously ticked off about it. "What about the basketball team? The cheerleaders? Surely they had some kind of interesting thing that happened that didn't involve the breaking of legs." Or him. Yes, Mason was popular, which made it difficult to fly under the radar, but he still liked to try his best. And he absolutely despised ending up on social media, or in the newspaper and so far, he'd managed to do both this school year. In one week.

Mason was ignoring June right now which may have not been the nicest thing but hey, he was mad at Raven. "Obviously," he leaned down closer to her, narrowing his dark amber eyes at her in anger. "Someone needs to control you and stop you from releasing such shitty articles. I could write better than that drunk off my ass."

He exhaled in annoyance, straightening up as she pointed out that either way, it was too late. Well... the school was going to find out one way or another. At least this way there wouldn't be any rumor mill twisting of things. "Let me think..." Mason said, tapping his chin in mock sarcastic thought about whether or not she could sign her name, before he stopped and leaned back against a table. Standing on one leg was tiring. "You can if you add your number."

Ash listened as Ryan explained everything to her and, well, she was shocked by what he said. First off, yes, she had decided that she did believe him -- or, well, she believed Grace. But either way, she believed nothing had happened. "Look, it's fine. I believe you and I'm sorry." She sighed. It seemed like Ash was doing a lot of apologizing this year. "There were a lot of emotions flying around. A kid was in the hospital, Kanen was facing jail time, and..." she shrugged. "It looked like something it wasn't. Grace told me the truth and that nothing happened, and... yeah, I believe her and you." Even if she was still surprised by it.

"It's hard to believe, though. Like Grace is perfect. And then I saw you with Raven, too, and I mean, she's amazing, too." This next part was hard to say, and Ash almost didn't want to. "And I might like you a very little bit, and may have been a little jealous. But it's whatever. We're cool, alright? I'm no mad and you don't need to do anything."

Ryan put his hand on her shoulder. "Yeah, Grace is amazing. But I get a vibe from her that she doesn't like me like that... As for Raven. Yeah I get it. She's pretty cool. But she's also apart of the newspaper. She was training me. Raven is a huge flirt. I know what goes around this school. I'm a player. I'm not. I haven't lied about anything to you." He said calmly. Ryan had looked into her blueish-green eyes. "We're good. So from now on, if you think something, or feel something ask me. I will make always make sure I tell you the absolute truth." He said.

Nova Abrisst
Nova nearly choked when Jace offered to let her keep the Taylor. Y'know, the guitar that was worth two thousand bucks brand new, and the one in her hands was in near perfect condition. Maybe she would've felt differently about the offer had it been an old, run down guitar, or even if she had known Jace a little longer, but even then, this was an insane thing to just give to a near stranger. Or maybe Jace was starting to view her as a friend... which she wouldn't of minded either. Blushing again (something she figured she would have to get used to around the blonde beanie boy), Nova playfully bumped her shoulder into his at the cheesy 'knight in shining armor' playoff, crinkling her nose and shaking her head as she tried to suppress laughter. So he was a bad-puns type of guy... she made a mental note and added it to the 'pros' section of her pros and cons of Jace West. Though, she had yet to find a con... so there was that.

"Do you have any idea what this guitar is worth?" She sighed, not mad or surprised at this point as appreciation just dripped from her words. The brunette tried to find something in Jace's eyes, her hazels searching his blues for any sign that maybe he was kidding, though she fell short in search. "And hey," The softest smirk fell onto Nova's lips as she picked the guitar back up and placed it gently in her lap, looking it over like a priceless gem before meeting her eyes back to the boy's next to her. "How about we start tonight on those lessons. If you're free and not totally deafened by my lack of ability."

Raven scoffed in disbelief. She didn’t wait a second to fire back. You can waltz right in all you want. Ranting about she said about you in the paper. But don’t insult the one thing she knows she’s good at. “And someone should teach you how to play football.” She shrugged. “Seeing as though you fell on your ass by someone who hasn’t played since sophomore year.”

Once the tension had died down, she wasn’t actually serious about signing her name. But she was surprised that after all that he wanted her number. She thought about it for a second, A smirk appeared on her face. “Yeah, okay.” Taking the pen, bending down and writing down her number. Although, not in the way you think. She wrote it in the back. So if he actually wanted her number, Oh, man. Was he gonna have to work for it. After she was done, she stood up. “I’d like to see you attempt to call me.” What? He pissed her off. By now.. she was just playing him.

She remembered the redhead still in the room, and turned to see her. Who definitely didn’t have cast on, but why not ask? She waved the pen around. “Need me to sign too?” Throwing a wink her way. Almost expecting her to run away at her actions.

His laugh was cute, Alaska decided as she shrugged. "I don't." The absurdity of high school drama was below her, all she wanted was to play sports and make good enough grades to get an athletic scholarship and get out of this town. Unless it involved her or her brothers the gossip could destroy whoever they pleased. While she didn't actively participate in the gossip, it was entertaining to watch it all play out. Made school a little less boring.

"It's just not every day someone puts the football captain in his place. " While Alaska didn't know Mason well, she'd heard his name around school a lot. From what she'd heard, Mason had deserved the wrecking Kanen had dished out. The athlete knew exactly how it felt to put a stuck-up prep in their place. Punching Lexi had been worth the week suspension. "Doesn't make a difference to me, what's so wrong with being curious?" She asked, a grin pulling up the corners of her lips.

The hockey player was still a little dazed from his confrontation with Sybil, running a hand through messy brown locks as he headed towards his locker to grab his stuff. He was just hoping to get through this semester with as little mess as possible.

"Hey, Grace!" He greeted, offering the cheerleader a bright smile. "Alaska and I are going down to the beach on Saturday with some friends, I figured I'd see if maybe you wanted to come?" It was a stretch, the twins hadn't made the best impression last year, his sister had assaulted a fellow cheerleader last year, but he was hoping with Lexi gone and the beginning of a new year he could make amends. The blonde had always caught his eye, and he would've made a move last year if not for the whole fiasco.

"You can invite the whole squad, whoever you want. Most of the football team will be there so you'll know pretty much everyone."

Grace was walking past Ryder when he called out her name, she stopped in her tracks, and turned to greet him. “Hey, Ryder.” She smiled back at the boy. “What’s up?” They never really talked along enough to actually call him a friend yet. So was there something he wanted? When he invited her to the beach she understood.

“Oh.” She said, realizing she was acting a bit weird about it. She wasn’t surprised to be invited. Last time she went to a party things didn’t exactly go as planned. But it was just a get-together right? It should be fine.. Finally, after a moments hesitation, she spoke. “Uh, yeah..sure, why not?” She nodded. “I’ll ask some people, see if they’d want to come.” Smiling towards him. They never really talked much. Despite everything that happened with Lexi, she didn’t think he was all bad. Maybe it was just a miscommunication of things? He seems like he could be a good friend, Should that ever happen.

Kanen's lips turned up ink a grin as he ran his tongue along the inside of his teeth. This chick couldn't just leave him be, huh? There was nothing wrong with being persistent, but Kanen didn't want to play twenty questions this early in the morning. "There's nothing wrong with being curious. Everyone is curious. But, there's not too many people who would directly ask about snapping some kids leg." He spoke.

The teacher came around, passing out quiz's day before. Kanen did decently considering everything. He was proud of his B+. Of course, Kanen glanced at Alaska's paper, but instead of seeing her score, he caught sight of her full name, signed up to the top.

"Ohhhhh..." He teased, realizing who she was. "I don't think your brother would want ou talking to me." Kanen spoke, leaning back in his chair and folding his arms across his chest. "Ryder doesn't seem like the type of guy who'd want his sister around some delinquent."

"No problem, Ryan." Ash gave a little half-smile at him before glancing at the door leading back into the school. "So uh... class is probably going to start soon... we should head back inside, unless you have anything else you want to talk about?" She asked, looking back up at Ryan. Ash had said everything she needed to get off her chest, and she was pretty sure he'd said everything he needed to. But hey, maybe the dude would surprise her for once.

Jace? Deafened by lack of ability? Ha. If anything, Jace was encouraged by someone's lack of ability. It meant that there was always room to grow, and he loved people who were interested in learning music. Obviously -- as mentioned before, and that was why he was so pushy about giving Nova the guitar. Heck, if Jace felt that someone truly adored music, he would give a complete stranger a new instrument just to encourage that. It's not like he would be losing anything -- his family was rich -- and he'd be helping someone else. Yes, he was stupidly musically generous, which was probably a horrible thing to be.

"Of course. Just keep it and keep practicing. That's all you have to do to make me happy to give it to you." He promised. And it was true. As long as Nova used the guitar to continue learning how to play, Jace would have no regrets. "And yes, that would be great. I'm free tonight." Actually, he was free every night, but that would be uncool and not something Nova needed to know. Not if Jace wanted to pretend to be cool around her. "So, uh, what time are you thinking?"

June
She looked between the two nervous at first until Raven asked him if he wanted her to sign his cast. Then when he asked her for his number too, June felt like she was nervous for nothing. And also felt like she was there for nothing. Whatever fight that would have happened quickly disappeared and ended with another flirt to June. She was very close to bursting everything she had held within. It took a solid bite on her lip to stop her and she moved to grab her stuff.

She didn’t know why it made her so mad. Maybe because she hated the fact they were both flirts to her and each other. Everyone flirted and no one felt anything. Maybe that’s the one thing that was good about her old town. Everyone was blunt. They didn’t tug at your heart like everyone at Westbrook did. They wouldn’t flirt with you if they didn’t like you.

Perhaps June was thinking too much about it. But nevertheless, she wordlessly grabbed her things and left the room.

Mason

Mason was annoyed by where she had placed the number but hey, whatever. He could always ask Drake to read it off for him later. In all reality, he could care less about the number, or Raven. But he had seen an opportunity, and he had taken it, even if he'd never act on it. "See ya later, Rivera." He grumbled to Raven, shooting one last nasty glare at her as June ran out. Sighing, Mason knew he would need to go and apologize to her for blowing up at Raven -- even though he regretted nothing -- and then later, he would hunt down Ryan. And he would smack him with a crutch with the angry force of a million running backs.

He crutched his way out of the newspaper club and followed after June as she hurried down the hallway. "June!" Mason yelled and somehow managed to catch up with her. "Are you alright? Look, I'm sorry about yelling at Raven like that. I know it wasn't cool but that bitch needed to know what she did wasn't alright."

"Well, you've never met me before." Alaska grinned, though she did admit hey you murdered someone? wasn't typical first period casual conversation. Then again, Alaska wasn't a typical girl. She couldn't help it if being raised in a family of all boys had made her a little too keen on fighting. In the Vaughn household it was headlock or be headlocked.

Distracted by their teacher passing out quiz grades, she skimmed over her paper before turning her attention back to Kanen. "You think I care what my brother thinks? Really?" She laughed, the idea simply ridiculous to her. The twins were close, but they took pride in getting on one another's nerves and if Ryder didn't like Kaden it was all the more reason for her to flirt with him. It was even more reason for Alaska to finally make some friends this year, so people would finally stop thinking of her and Ryder as the same person.

"Besides, I'm the one who got suspended last year. You can't be that much of a delinquent if you got away with it." The brunette teased, sticking her tongue out playfully.

"Cool, we'll be there around noonish with food and lots of beverages. I could give you a ride if you need?" He smirked, leaning against a nearby locker, relieved that Grace had at least been receptive of his offer. It seemed not all the cheerleaders hated his guts. "I know we didn't get off to a good start last year and I'd like to change that." Ryder spoke, giving her a dazzling smile.

Ryan nodded in agreement. Ryan sighed a breathe of relief now that everything was cleared up between. His name was cleared witb Ash, and his father was going to be coming home later that day. A lot of good things were coming his ways. He looked at her. "Nut up or shut up." He thought. "Ash... Look. I know that I have the rumor about being a player, but believe it or not, I've never been on a full fledged date. So Ashton West. Woud you do me the honor, of being the first full fledged date I'll ever go on?" Oh god, he did it. He asked Ash out on a date. All that he could do was wait and see what she says.

Nova's inner butterflies started a riot as Jace agreed that tonight would work, having to bite her lip to suppress any sort of weird sound springing out. She was still slightly uncomfortable with keeping the guitar, but decided not to push it back on him. Besides, it's not like she was opposed to having such a beautiful guitar... it's just that she felt the need to somehow repay him. "Thank you, Jace," She smiled over to him, bowing her head before tapping the guitar's body lightly. "But I'm finding some way to repay you for this, it's way too generous," Nova sighed, pursing her lips. "I can like... make you dinner or do your homework or something."

As for tonight, Nova really didn't have any preference. She was just looking forward to spending time with the boy. She wanted to get to know him a little better, find out what he likes and dislikes, find out what he wanted out of life, what his favorite foods were, all the little stuff. That was what Nova liked, she liked knowing the ins and outs of people. Backstory was important, and so were major milestones, but she found that the details were what made a person. "How about around four? That way I can run home to feed my dog, she's the laziest thing and gets angry when she doesn't have food," Nova explained, shrugging her shoulders. "She's the exact opposite of Sybil's dog, she just wants to sleep and maybe have her head on you."

A date wouldn't be the worst thing, but the player thing did still scare her. "Just because you go on dates doesn't mean you don't sleep around." Ash pointed out, but... well, maybe it was worth the risk? Yes, she had a horrible track record with guys. But maybe this would be fine, and there was only one way to find out, after all. "But... fine. One date. And never call me Ashton again, I swear to god." Ash was serious when it came to her nickname. Ashton was what she was called when she was in trouble, or by her family because Ash wasn't "good enough" or something. She didn't really pay attention to what her family had to say.

June kept on walking, getting slightly frustrated when Mason was able to catch up to her. Damn, well he wasn’t captain for nothing. She looked down at the ground as he talked, not wanting to make eye contact with him immediately. “Look, I’m fine and I’m not that mad you yelled at Raven.” She said and shook her head. “She wasn’t in the right. Is that what you want to hear?” She turned to him pretty angrily before pausing. She needed to calm down before she did anything. She shouldn’t say anything. Maybe he didn’t care about what she said. “Sorry...” She mumbled, calming down a bit more.
