Sawyer
When Ryan finally made his way out to her car Sawyer was about ready to burst with new found curiosity. She would've immediately started asking him questions if he didn't look like the literal walking dead at the moment. Sawyer glanced at him curiously with her head tilted to the side.

"Good morning, sleeping beauty." She put the car into drive and slowly made her way down the street, "We can stop by the 7-Eleven if you need. Did you stay up late?" She asked, genuinely concerned. That concern soon faded into curiosity again.

"Ohhhh, were you writing more fabulous articles for the newspaper, ya nerd?" Sawyer stressed the word fabulous as if to poke fun at Ryan, "What made you join the newspaper of all things anyway?"

"I swear to god, Ryder if you don't get in this car I'm leaving without you!"

It was typical for the twins to be late, but it was only their first week back and Alaska wanted to fool her teacher's into thinking she was a diligent student for at least another week or two. Finally losing her patience, she laid down on the horn until her taller brother came running out the door, hurling curse words at her until she took her hand off the offending horn.

"Jesus, calm down!" Ryder grumbled, earning an eye-roll from Alaska as she pulled out of their long driveway. "You in a hurry to get to juvie?" He teased, messing with his hair in the mirror before playing with the radio dial until he found a station he found acceptable.

"As if." She retorted with a grin. After missing the first week of school Alaska figured she'd have a bit of catching up to do, but she didn't think she'd have so much social catching up to do. There were so many rumors flying around already and she barely even knew the people they were about. Supposedly the red-head in her lit class had almost given a freshman alcohol poisoning, and the sulky guy who sat next to her in American history had broken his own team mates leg? None of it really mattered to the junior, she couldn't care less about other people's personal lives, but she was intrigued by the brooding teen who sat beside her in first period.

Ryder wasn't particularly close with his football teammates, surprisingly odd because he was best friends with his entire hockey team, so she couldn't casually ask him about the dark-haired boy without raising suspicions. If her twin found out that she was interested in a boy he'd never let her live it down and that was not about to happen.

Pulling up to the school, both twins unbuckled and hopped out of the black Jeep before heading towards the establishment of their nightmares. "So, you piss off any cheerleaders yet?"

"Nope. You punch anyone yet?"

"Not yet, but I'm on the lookout." Alaska replied with a smirk, quickly turning into a scowl as her brother lightly shoved her head with his massive hand.

'You're infuriating." She grumbled, fixing her long brown locks.

"You know you looooove me." Ryder chuckled, his sister flipping him off as she walked away to first period.

The twins had miraculously made it to school before the last bell, giving Alaska time to sit in her usual seat and prop her feet up on the empty desk in front of her before the object of her interest appeared. Debating what she might say, she chewed on her bottom lip before speaking the first words to come to mind.

"So...Kanen...I heard you murdered someone at practice?" It was a pretty blunt question considering Alaska had no idea who this kid was until just two days ago, but the brunette had never been one for subtly. Hurting other people's feelings wasn't a concern of hers, probably why she'd yet to really make friends at Westbrook yet.

Raven noticed the frown on her face when she said that she'd given Georgia the camera, and it made Raven's smile falter. It probably was a bad idea, shrugging the thought off, she listened to June and grinned at her words. "Don't mention it, La Monada." She winked. Raven was glad that she put her name on the cover, it wouldn't of felt right considering she used her camera. She chuckled softly. when June said she did a good job with the pictures. "Of course i did." She tilted her head off to one side.

She raised an eyebrow when June winced, but smiled when she blushed. what a fun girl to mess with.. Surprise took over when June said she doesn't like anyone looking at her pictures. "What? impossible. But you have talent! why wouldn't you want to share.." She trailed off, Realizing. Shy, Raven. She's shy. "Ah, i mean.. to some people praise is overrated." She said. She laughed under her breath, "If you change your mind about it.." Grinning she spoke again, "I'm a great critic. Y'know." Shrugging, she sauntered a bit closer. "You could always give me a private showing, if you'd like.."

June
June was surprised by her words, a blush immediately taking hold of her as Raven moved closer. June only glanced at her lips for a second before grabbing the paper and quickly side stepping. “Well would you look at the time,” She glanced down at her wrist to a watch that didn’t exist. “Someone should be handing out the newspapers. They won’t hand out themselves.” She said stepping backwards towards the door and laughing at her own joke. “I’ll be back later.” She reached over and grabbed a large stack. “Okay... uh, bye!” She told Raven before quickly dashing out of the room and down the hall.

She held the papers tightly to her chest to prevent them from flying from her grasp. But it also helped to calm her heart. She’s crazy. She thought to herself. She looked at her lips. What the hell is with her and kissing people? She might as well kiss Nova while she was at it. While, she was distracted from her thoughts she felt herself tangle up in some crutches. Immediately catching the crutches and bumping into something. There the papers tumbled from her hands.

Tuesday morning was not as peaceful as Monday morning was, Hugo had come home in the middle of the night and absolutely reeked of cigarette smoke, "Get in the fucking shower, you are not getting in the truck with your little brother if you smell like that." Sybil was hissing her words now, Hugo opened his mouth then closed it again before storming off to the shared bathroom in the hallway. The whole clan was late already and Sybil only got a lunch packed for Jams, Hugo was gonna have to figure it out on his own this time and same with Sybil. The whole episode played out like some comedy of errors, King and Sigrid just stayed out of the way of her as she whipped through the house like a banshee. Not a single word was spoken during the entire truck ride, Hugo was just staring out the window listening to music to loud for his ears and James was tired, leaning against his older sister as he dozed the whole ride to town. They dropped Hugo off first, he slammed the door which floored Sybil but she held it in till James was out of the truck. "Jesus fucking Christ" Her word came out with a hissing Southern twang, "Fucking child..." Her music was thump thump thumping against the metal walls of her truck as she veered into the parking lot with a screech of the tires. Sybil slammed her door, she could do it because it was her truck as her green eyes burned like a raging forest fire. The crowd of people at the doors made her even more pissed, so she shoulder checked the guy next to her without thought trying to push through the wall of bodies, "Jesus fuck, go through the fucking door, that was its fucking for. Move your ass damn it."

"Why not?" He said looking down the road. "You've got basketball and theather. I really don't have anything. Figured I should atleast try something." He said with no emotion. Ryan's real reason was because he knew that it would help him when it came to his issues. Plus having someone there to shoot the shit with felt pretty good. "Plus if you don't want me running off. I figured it would help out to do something after school... So that way you don't get lonely without me there." He said smirking. After that he passed out.

The ride felt like seconds to the school. He would snore the whole way there. When they finally arrived Ryan had climbed out of the car. Ryan slung his backpack over his shoulder. He walked in with Sawyer. "I gotta check in with the paper. They should have put out the artcle on Mason. I kinda wanna see how it went." He said waving to Sawyer.

After a short walk he walked into the newspaper's headquarters. "How is it?" He asked to Raven. "Have we got a winner?" He asked taking a seat in Raven's chair. Ryan looked like shit. Like he had been writing all night. If anyone asked he would say it was nothing. He didn't want anyone to know about his pet project. But there were other reasons for him staying up all night. Later on that day, an event was happening that he had been waiting on for a long time. He was finally going to be able to see his father. After so many years, Ryan would be able to spend time with his dad. Even his mother seemed more alive.

Ryder was too busy scrolling through his Twitter feed to notice someone trying to get through the door before him, resulting in the two colliding as they tried to get through the busy doorway at the same time. Looking down with a raised eyebrow at the skinny little thing that had managed to shoulder-check him into the door frame he was surprised by the power she packed in her small frame. It was kind of hot, but her attitude was infuriating.

"What did you say?" He challenged, folding his arms across his expansive chest and scowling. The hot-head had gotten in to many arguments, but never with girls. They were usually too busy falling all over him and trying to get his attention to call him out on his b.s., but it seemed this girl was more than happy to pick a fight with the jock.

"You're the one who bumped me."

Kanen was –not– a morning person. He was slow to wake up normally, especially considering he slept each night in the front seat of a car. He would've been happy to doze off through first period, but of course the universe couldn't allow that. The girl sitting next to him just had to go asking questions.

"Look, you and half the school are all asking the same questions. Just get a cop of he school newspaper like everyone else." He grumbled, practically collapsing into his desk. He wasn't mad or anything, just tired. School, thrown on top of football practice, with garbage sleep routines made Kanen a very sleepy boi. After a moment though, Kanen decided he was being kind of rude. Kanen New and Improved was supposed to be a good guy, or at least decent.

"Yes. I hit Mason. Yes. He broke his leg. No. I don't regret it. That cover things?" He asked, resting his cheek in the palm of his hand.

Sybil flashed her teeth like a snarl and narrowed her glaring green eyes at the jock, "Yeah cause you had your head up your ass and in your phone." Her voice was a hiss as she balanced back on the heels of her feet, "But I guess I can make an excuse for his majesty," She gave low mocking bow then flashed a devious grin, "Please my lord, enter the door and I'll get the servants to wipe your feet." Her words came out past her teeth like a mocking hiss as she extended her hand towards the door. Sybil gave the guy a once over, You just reek of overconfidence and axe body spray, her thoughts wiggled through her mind and gave her an inking of joy, even though she was still think, damn he is hot. She pushed that thought out her of mind and hardened her face, "Well my lord?" She spat back sarcastically.

Raven watched her closely, waiting for her reaction, her eyes trailed slowly over her. She didn't even look at June checking her 'watch' she just kept eye-contact with her.
And smirked as the girl stammered a reply, she raised a brow. "I mean we have people for tha-" She cut herself off, when June picked up a stack of papers. Her smirk turned into a amused grin, as she started to back away, nervously laughing at her own joke. Saying that she'd be back later. "I'll be waiting." She waved her away. She shook her head chuckling to herself, as the girl left. Raven didn't expect that sort of reaction, Well.. maybe she kind of did. but she wasn't complaining..

Her thoughts about the red-head were interrupted, when Ryan walked in. She beamed at him immediately, "Where have you been!" She exclaimed, It hadn't been long into the school day at all, she just wish they both were there sooner. She laughed, "How is it?!" She picked up the paper, sliding it over her own desk. For him to see it with his own eyes. Any other day she would've told him to not sit in her chair. But today was going amazingly well. So she let it slide. "Hell. Yeah. Do we have a winner." Her excitement died down, watching him read it. She waited a few moments before speaking.

"So, y'know.." She avoided eye-contact from him. "Thanks." she said, referring to the paper. Tilting her head towards it. She shrugged. "I mean, obviously i could've done it myself.." Total lie. "But it was nice having a partner." Now that wasn't a lie. She was glad she wasn't alone. She smiled, and nodded. She decided to quickly change the subject. "Hey, you kind of look like shit. You good?"

Grace
Grace sighed, leaned back on the locker. They were still on the floor, She sat there watching the people rush to who knows where. She shrugged when she talked about Ryan. "I mean..on twitter he tried to convince you that.." She pointed her finger at herself. "He obviously cares about what you think." Looking towards Ash. "I think he likes you." She nudged her, and rolled her eyes. "I mean not that i'd know what would boys like." She froze for a second, almost accidentally outing herself. "Considering..that i don't uh." Internally she was panicking.

"Have a lot of experience with them..." She said awkwardly. She cleared her throat. And answered her question, "I know." She sighed. "I wouldn't survive this place without you." She shook her head. Maybe i should just tell her. Their friendship wouldn't end because of it.. right? She opened her mouth to say something, when Alex passed by them almost tripping over them. She winced "Sorry Alex." No, shouldn't tell her now. She will..soon. "So, I decided to join the dance committee." She stated, Grace thought it might've been a good idea.. "Kanen..that was a thing. It was unexpected." She squinted thinking about it more. "No, it was expected. Have you talked to him?" She asked.

Alaska was a little taken aback by Kanen's aggressiveness, though she supposed she deserved it for asking such a personal question at this ungodly hour of the morning. She'd only been sitting next to him for two days and he hadn't exactly seemed like the talkative type, and he looked pretty rough this morning.

"Sorry, didn't mean to impose. I was just gonna say I'm impressed" The brunette shrugged, offering him a small smile. Playing hockey her whole life had given her an appreciation for tactful violence, and while football might not be her favorite sport it was almost violent enough for her taste. Of course there was nothing that could compare to a good old-fashion hockey fight, but putting your own teammate on a stretcher was pretty bad ass.

"Plus, you can never trust the crap people say. I'd rather find out what happened from the person directly, the rumors at this school get ridiculous." She rolled her green eyes, thinking of the mess that happened with her brother last year.

"Jesus christ it's just a door!" Ryder exclaimed, throwing his hands up in defeat. This girl was taking things way too seriously, it wasn't like he had purposely blocked her entrance, she was the one who'd used force against him after all. The way she condescended him without even knowing him riled him up even more. He'd never met a girl he couldn't win over with his smile, they usually didn't start yelling until after he slept with them.

"You don't have to be such a b*tch!" He swore, glaring at her harder than he'd ever glared at anyone at barely 8 a.m., a new record for him. The words seemed a little harsh once they were out of his mouth, but there was no taking them back now. She deserved it anyways.

Ryan was contently reading the paper when Raven asked him if he was ok. "Uh... Yeah. I's just kinda a big day for my family." It was kinda the only thing he said on that matter. He didn't mean any disrespect to Raven, but it was kinda a thing that Ryan wanted to keep to himself. But just thinking about it put a smile on his face. The king of the school, who could mean mug anyone had the biggest, childish smile on his face.

He looked back down to the paper. The article was really good. "Well then, it looks like you found yourself a new partner." He said giving her a wink. "Maybe even something a little more..." He said giving her another wink. Uncovering what had happened and what Kanen was thinking was fun. Probably the most fun that Ryan had had in a long time. If he continued then Ryan probably wouldn't mind going to school. "So what's the next big scoop?" He asked thinking that Raven would have thier next big article. "Cause I've got the fire in me now. Where's our next piece." He had the itch. The only way to scratch it was to move on to the next big story.

Oh yeah, this one has got some fire, The thought coiled through her mind like the serpent who sweet talked Eve into eating the forbidden fruit, Sybil was about to take a bite of some forbidden fruit. "You got some fire in you honey." Her voice purred from her throat, it was coated in honey that was most likely poisoned with something. She leaned her body forward, then got close, uncomfortably close so that her body was close enough to touch his. "Find me later, I like you." Her fingers caught his chin and forced his eyes to peer into hers, they were a dark hazel that sparkled with frustration. For a quick moment, that felt way to long, her grassy green eyes glowed in the early sunlight that slanted against them, "Okay?" Sybil spoke in a near whisper, looking at his lips before she sidestepped and disengaged from him, disappearing into the swell of teenagers, hoping to leave him both intrigued and frustrated.

Nova Abrisst
Nova jumped slightly as she heard her name, slapping her hand over her heart whipping her head to look up. Her surprised expression softened at once when she looked up, seeing a familiar yellow beanie atop a certain mop of blonde hair. A smile graced her face then, shoulder relaxing. "Hello," Nova cooed, folding her arms across the top of the guitar and scooting over to make room for Jace. She chuckled a bit at his question, rubbing the back of her neck with a slight shrug. She had definitely been doing her fair share of hiding in various places on campus, finding the quiet nooks to practice. Not that she would ever admit that... though she figured Jace of all people would understand.

"Yeah I uh," Nova sighed, tapping her thumbs against the guitar. Wanting to be honest, she blurted, "I needed a hiding spot to practice and get away from people. I really just wanna be at home with some popcorn and binge-watching the new season of The Walking Dead," The small brunette grinned, looking up at Jace and strumming some random melody on the Taylor. Drumming up some courage, she added "I also said I'd sing in front of 'ya, and don't want to sound like a total dork."

Raven nodded, and gave an 'mmhm' she could tell her didn't want to talk about it. She knew first-hand what it was like, so she didn't say anything else about it. "Partners." She repeated it, giving him a nod. She raised a brow, when he flirted with her. "We'll see.." was all she said. She remembered the cheerleader from the other day. Raven thought she seemed sweet. And if they had history, she didn't want to get involved with that. He talked about the newest 'scoop' She laughed. "Damn, in withdrawal that quickly?" She shook her head. "I don't blame you." she sighed.

"Sometimes fires die out.." She said questionably. Without missing a beat, she put her hands on her own desk. Leaning forward. "What's up with you and Ash?" She decided to ask, why not? she wanted to know.

He sighed when she asked about Ash. "You remember hearing about the "Welcome to hell" Party Ash west threw this past weekend..." He ran his hand throught his hair."Well we started to talk, and that was it. No kiss no more then that. Well one kid was taken to the hospital. The cops showed up in the morning. There was a girl there, Grace Jackson, who's Ash's best friend. She was very drunk. I brought her up to a room and put her to sleep, she clocked me in the jaw. Period. Nothing else happened. Well the next morning, when she woke up laying at the foot of the bed. The cops gathered everyone together. You can see where this is going. She doesn't believe me when I said notYohing happened. So yeah." That smile had demished. "Either way, I'm the bad guy who took advantage of a drunk girl, when I didn't. So she probably hates my guts." He said. His happiness was quickly fading.

He then thought about his father. He smiled. "My dad gets out today..." It quickly faded. "And that's the first thing he'll probably ask me is that. He's probably gonna ask about it. So that happiness today, might fade when he asks." The tired Ryan who was happy a few minutes ago was a little somber. "But I know the truth and if she doesn't want to listen to it. Then goodbye." He said before waving. "So that's it. What happened and what I think.... Mind if we get off this sad shit." He said. It was meant to be a happy day and he wanted to smile but right now he felt like shit. "You probably think I'm fake. I lost sleep thinking about it. But what's done is done. You can only move forward." He said finally smiling.

Ryder

At first, Ryder thought the mouthy little thing was going to hit him, her face inches from his as she cornered him against the door frame. Instead, she batted her eyes and flirted with him shamelessly. The exact opposite of what he thought might follow their encounter.

"O...Okay?" Mouth hanging open, the jock couldn't form the words to reply to the bold mystery girl. She had come for him fists blazing and now she was...coming on to him? Shaking his head to clear it, he adjusted his backpack on his shoulder and headed off to his lit class. This school year was already becoming stranger than last.

Raven
68747470733a2f2f73332e616d617a6f6e6177732e636f6d2f776174747061642d6d656469612d736572766963652f53746f7279496d6167652f575a59315f3233336673687577413d3d2d3533363634303538392e313531343339306532313532333330343636333433353732303738352e676966

Raven took a seat on the edge of the desk. Listening intently. She nodded when he talked about the party, and everything after that. She knew about the rumors. And by now, almost everyone knows how Raven feels about rumors.

Giving him a small smile. Hopping off the desk. She was about to say something, when he starting talking about his dad, her smile faded. She knew where this was going, He was opening up to her. All he needed was someone to listen, so. She pulled a chair from one of the other desks and took a seat. “Your dad, huh..” she said wondering to herself out loud. As she listened to his story. “He’s your dad. I’m sure he’d believe you.” She said like she knew what a dad would do. She obviously didn’t, but she was just trying to make him feel better.

It was odd. The story between him & Ash, it was only so little. Yet it seemed like so much. “Maybe you should try talking to her.” She rolled her eyes. “In-person this time?” He literally tried to apologize on twitter. Raven knew girls, and considering she was one, if she was in Ash’s shoes..that wouldn’t be enough. But then again, she wasn’t Ash.

She let out a breathy laugh, when he said to ditch the depressing talk.

She let him finish speaking, before she looked at him, and replied. “Y’know.. Helmet. The only sad thing about this talk, is that right now..you’re probably the most real person i know.” Giving him a smile that didn’t quite reach her eyes. She didn’t mean it as an insult. Not to him at least. Raven wasn’t used to this, she didn’t know how to make someone feel better. She hardly had close friends. Especially people that opened up to her? Yeah, no. This was a first.

The talk made the excitement drain from her body. It wasn’t his fault, in a way she was glad he talked to her, maybe she helped. But it got her mind racing about things she wasn’t interested in thinking about.

“Well then, we certainly got to know each-other quite well if i say so myself.”

Picking up the newspaper and skimming through it for the hundredth time today.

“It bothered me so i re-edited. ‘Bitch’ shouldn’t be censored.” She said in fake argument attempting to change the conversation.

Ryan nodded when she talked about talking to Ash face to face. He didn't really talk to Sawyer about that subject. It was probably to confront her and talk to her about everything. Before he went home he was going to have to talk to her. This time, he was going to lay everything down on the line. No one was going to leave till both sides had agreed that what happened. When it came to actually talking about it, Ryan had just put everything out with out even thinking about who he was talking to. He was glad that it was Raven though. Anyone other then Sawyer then he wouldn't have opened up about it.

When she talked about the censoring of words, Ryan nodded. "I whole heartedly agree. It's kinda hard trying to find words that would work in the situation where the word bitch fills in so perfectly." He said setting his head back. It would be better to do everything first He stood up, walked over and grabbed his bag and walked to the door. He stopped at the door frame. He slowly turned around and looked at Raven. "Hey Raven... Thanks for listening." He said before turning around and walked out.

He walked around the school for a few minutes. He was looking for Ash. Raven was right, he was going to have to talk to Ash. He decided to do it while he still had time. At the end of those few minutes he found her. "Ash." He called up from down the hall. He walked up to her and Grace. "Can I talk to you?" He asked Ash. "Privately?" He asked. He was going to talk to her about what had happened, and he was going to do it now.

Mason was still kind of in his locker when someone crashed into his crutches. It pulled his head out, right as June tripped over the crutches and into him. Somehow, magically, Mason managed to keep his balance and catch June, keeping her from falling over. "Oh, hey, you alright?" Mason asked. He let go of June and leaned back against the locker, looking down at the newspapers all over the place. "Well, that's one way to hand out the paper."

He then pushed away from the locker, and turned towards his. "You seem flustered." Mason commented as he pulled out his backpack, pulling it on, and then closing the locker. He looked down at the newspapers scattered. As much as he wanted to help, getting down was not something Mason had exactly mastered yet. "Uh, could you get me my crutches?" He asked, and looked down at the newspapers... And that's when Mason realized that the papers were about him.

"Wait, they made an article about me getting my leg broke?" Mason snapped, anger flooding his face as he looked down to see who had written it. Raven and Ryan. That dirty last name stealer and that little motorcycle head. "I will murder them." He grumbled... But he couldn't move yet to go kill them without his crutches.

Ash leaned back against the locker next to Grace's. Apparently, sitting on the floor at school was a theme this year for her. "Oh, whatever." She giggled as Grace spoke, shaking her head. "Please. He just joined the newspaper club and I saw him with Raven. Pretty sure he doesn't care what I think. That girl is gorgeous." Yes, Ash was straight. But that didn't mean Ash couldn't appreciate the finer things in life, such as attractive girls. "Oh, please. You're smart not dating. And you know plenty." Yeah, she didn't catch on in the least bit.

"Same." Ash admitted. Grace was the one good thing about this place. She watched as Alex tripped over Grace, offering a small smile as an apology before Grace brought up Kanen. Ash groaned at the mention of him and leaned her head back against the locker. "He is the most frustrating guy in the world. He's doing good and actually is sober. But the problem? He's living out of his car, Grace. And I tried to get him to come stay with us, but he didn't want to be a burden." Ash groaned. Maybe she needed to nag him more.

Ash blinked up in surprise as Ryan approached them and asked to talk. "Oh, umm..." She glanced at Grace, not sure what to say, before she looked back at Ryan and sighed. "Yeah, sure." She picked up her books and stood up, waving good bye at Grace. "I'll see you later." Ash said, and then looked towards Ryan. "So. Lead the way."

Jace wasn't originally going to sit next to Nova, but then she scooted over. In just a couple seconds, a million different scenarios rushed through his brain. Maybe she scooted over for a different reason, in that case he shouldn't sit there. Or maybe she wanted him to sit there, but was it in a just friends or flirty way? Would their shoulders be touching, in which case, was this shirt clean? And did Jace smell good, which would obviously horribly effect this whole thing... How could he sniff himself without looking weird?

Finally, Jace did it. He sat down on the table next to Nova. He was pretty sure he smelled like lemons. That was good. Their shoulders were not quite touching. Which made this whole thing better. "Ah, so you were doing all this to impress me?" Jace asked jokingly, and then wondered if maybe that was a little too far, but it was too late. "Anyway, are you ready to show me what you got, then?" He asked.

Nova Abrisst
A warm, rosy pink flooded into Nova's cheeks as Jace asked if she had been practicing to impress him... because obviously she had. As he sat down, the brunette made a little more room for him, folding her legs underneath her in a criss-cross fashion and resting the groove of the acoustic in her knee. It had been so long since she had sang in front of people, and while her voice was something that she was confident in, she couldn't imagine someone like Jace genuinely enjoying it... though she hoped he did. "Maybe I am," Nova smiled to the boy next to her before taking a deep breath, adjusting the button down shirt that draped over her before placing her fingers and taking a deep breath. She hadn't a clue why she was nervous, she knew very well that Jace was a music guy and would understand if she faltered or missed a note, but she also felt like she had something to prove to herself.

Trying not to stall any longer, she nodded and began playing the same song she had been before Jace walked in, her voice only slightly wavering at first but getting stronger by the time the first verse ended. Nova felt like herself when she was singing, and she was almost happy that the blonde boy was here with her. Moving through the lyrics, Nova's voice seemed to flow into the guitar that she played along with the lyrics, sending her body into this blissful type of softness. She even found herself swaying slightly, brushing Jace's shoulder once and flushing her cheeks even deeper.

She quickly apologized for running into him. She felt really bad, considering his leg. She reached down and gave him his crutches. “Y-Yeah I’m fine.” She mumbled and blushed at his joke. She bent down and gathered the papers. “And yes I’m just a little bit flustered.” No, it was clear she was flustered. She gathered them up in a messy pile in her hands, standing up and pausing seeing Mason looking at the paper. She flinched as she realized this was his first time seeing it.

“Wait, they didn’t mean anything by it.” She said quickly and flipped the stack around in her hands. “They just looked for a scoop and Raven saw what happened at the football field.” She shrugged trying to help Raven and Ryan. As well as the newspaper club she was apart of and had been since she got here. “Please don’t be mad at the them or anything. If anything, you can tell them your side now and it can change the story.” She held the paper up to him so he could read it. Although, she wasn’t sure if it was an entirely a good idea.

Angelina tried to block her sister as she brought another bag of her belongings outside. "Sam, you can't just leave me".
"You're not missing much. And you need to stop depending on me to be here. Ryan's going to be moving to Scotland soon, for his job, and I plan on going with him". Angelina gasped as Samantha moved her aside, her taxi arriving. She loaded her bags in the vehicle, Angelina begging for her to stay but Samantha blew her off before getting into the taxi. Tears streamed down Angelina's face as the taxi headed off, Samantha not even looking at her.

Jace listened as she played. He'd never heard the song before, but he was instantly sucked in by the lyrics. Nova sang well -- he had to admit that much, and although her guitar playing could use some practice, she wasn't bad in the least bit. He was tapping his fingers along to the rhythm, and turned bright red when Nova brushed against him. Oh lord, help him. He'd never kissed a girl or made a move, but Jace had a habit of falling head over heels for a girl and as the past dictated, Jace was very good at keeping those crushes for years. The last thing he needed was a crush on this perfect new girl with the end of high school looming just ahead of him. But hey, that meant if he made a move and failed, he'd be out of the school before anyone could make fun of him.

He pulled himself out of his stupid, stupid thoughts to look at her as she finished the song. "Whose song is that? It's like, really good." Jace said. "And I've never heard the real version, but I'd say you did it some beautiful justice." He smiled, hoping she'd appreciate his comment. It was true. Jace had loved listening to every minute of her singing, and was a little disappointed that it was over. "So, uh... do you like the guitar, then...?" He asked, trying to keep the conversation going and keep his thoughts from wandering.

Mason didn't really hear June as she spoke. He was like an angry bull now, and all he was seeing was red. He took the crutches and tucked them under his arms, ready to rampage into the newspaper club and angrily tell Raven she was a sucky reporter, when June held the newspaper article up to him. "I'm not reading that." He snapped, trying to smack it out of her hand before Mason simply gave up, and then crutched his way around June and started making his way down the hall.

It was amazing how fast a guy on crutches could move when he was truly angry. Mason sped his way through the halls, not bothering to stop for others to get out of his way. Most of the crowd parted, terrified to get in the way of the football captain (he was still the captain, and he didn't plan on letting Kanen take that away from him, too), crippled or not. Finally, he made it to the newspaper club room and burst in, looking around angrily until his eyes landed on Raven.

"What the hell, Rivera Junior?" He snapped. "There's literally a Twitter that is constantly blowing up with great school drama, but you had to make an article about the football team." Mason gritted his teeth, and slowly crutched his way closer to her. "Who let you write that piece of garbage?" Mason was mad. Mason was hurt. Mason realized he forgot to take his pain meds, and his leg was killing him, and there was no end in sight. So yes, he was channeling all that into this very moment.
