June
She felt her heart breaking as Mason still refused to go. She wasn’t sure what to tell him and even if she did, he wasn’t entirely there to hear it. “It’ll be okay. Everything will work out.” She repeated with every no he uttered. Until he talked to her directly and said the words Ari. Who’s Ari? She thought instantly, but quickly let go of the worry as she felt the leg was the bigger issue.

But, she got quiet when he called himself a fuck up. She bit her lip and quickly shook her head. “No you aren’t. We are only trying to help you.” Although she wasn’t sure he could hear her voice with the sounds of the sirens. She backed up as more able people started to help. Hopefully Grace is okay with me going to the hospital with him right? He can’t do it alone. She thought.

She looked up when she heard Sawyer curse, the corners of Grace’s lips tilted upwards, the smallest of smiles, when she heard her laugh as she put the beanie over her eyes, “Damn it, Sawyer.” She was making it so difficult to be upset. “Uh, we need more..costumes!?” She yelled out to her classmates, while she was being dragged into the closet. Ironic.

It was difficult to not stare at her lips as she spoke, so difficult. Eying the smile on her lips, why did she seem so calm? It only made Grace more upset. “You-“ she bit her lip, “I know what it looked like, okay. I don’t remember much that night, but i know i wouldn’t, it couldn’t even happen, I mean no offense with Ryan and stuff, he’s a cool guy. He’s just not..” She thought for a second, “well..” still struggling with her words.

“He’s just not you.” She told her, softly. She scanned her face, and she huffed a breath before speaking calmer. “God, you just make me so-“ She cut herself off, “At first i felt so guilty. For something that didn’t even happen..” She explained, “And then i was upset you didn’t even want to put in the effort to talk to me about it.” She relaxed a bit, and stepped closer to her. “And now, i just..” She trailed off in her words, her eyes dropping down towards Sawyer’s lips. She just wants to kiss her.

She cleared her throat, “You probably don’t believe me, It’s fine. Let’s just go..” Grace tried, that’s all that mattered. Sawyer mattered too, but if she didn’t see that right now..It’s fine. It wasn’t fine. She did a gesture with her hand indicating her to move away from the door.

Jace didn't quite agree with that, and he eyed the dog suspiciously. "Well, as long as he keeps his mouth to himself, I guess that's fine..." He picked up his backpack, when his phone beeped once... and then twice. Jace looked down to see two texts: one from Ash simply saying that she was going to walk home, and Jace instantly felt bad for his little sister. She was still reeling from the rumor and some of the things that had gone down at the party, and he wished that there was something that he could do for her, but sadly the best he could manage was to give her space. Ash hadn't exactly forgiven him for calling Kanen out... and she had actually yelled at him, kicked him in the knee, and was going to do more when their father had stopped her. Yeah.

The second text was from Nova, and Jace was kind of surprised. He thought for a long moment, and then sent back a simple text:
Yeah. Heading to my car now but I can get you that guitar tonight if you want.

Well, Ash's car, but luckily Jace had the keys. Usually, he ended up driving, anyway. "I'm heading out to my car. So come with me, or risk getting locked in the music room all night." Jace warned. He pulled his guitar onto his back and carried his backpack with one hand out of the music room before waiting for Sybil and that beast to follow him before he locked the music room. Because, yeah, at this point, Jace had been entrusted with a faculty key to the music room. "So what brings you to the school with a dog at this time?"

Mason looked up as the ambulance finally arrived, and his heart sank even further. They helped him undo the football helmet and shoulder things from his body, and then helped him up and into the actual belly of the ambulance. All he could think about as he hobbled along was the money, and the entire thing looked like a giant money sign on wheels. He'd basically given up at this point as they laid him down on the bed-thingy that Winny is simply too tired to actually think of the name for.

"Uh, that's my sister." He said, pointing towards June so that they would let her on the ambulance with him. She looked worried, and was the only person who had actually cared about this whole thing. Mason couldn't believe he'd ever considered Kanen a friend. If he'd been the one to break Kanen's leg, you better believe he would've felt some kind of remorse, and not have just walked off. But that was beside the point. At least, at this moment, he had June, whom he'd only known for a few days.

Wow, his life was truly pitiful. There was no one for him to even call to meet him at the hospital. "Uhh, June, do you mind coming?" He asked, hoping that she wouldn't abandon him like everyone else.

Cheerleading practice had been hell. Ash had never been so happy for it to be over, but she wasn't ready to go home and face the music of her father's terrible attempt at grounding, and "real" parenting. She was an independent person, the kind of teenager who hated having a parent breathing down her back, which was what she had loved so much about her father. He did his thing, and she did her thing. A lot of the problems with her estranged mother had come from the helicoptering that she did. "Ash, don't eat that." "Ash, why are you wearing that?" "Ash, you need to exercise more."

Her mother had been a pain, and Ash had been relieved when she left.

So now, she found herself walking out of the school, heading home the back way. However, after exiting the gym, Ash was confused as to why there was so much commotion at the football field, and then she saw Kanen angrily storming away from that direction. Confused, but curious and with nothing better to do, Ash quickly ran after Kanen and caught up with him in record time.

"Hey," Ash was going to ask what had happened at the football field, but by Kanen's posture and well... his face, she could tell now was not the time. So she decided to approach this differently. "Wait. Hey! You don't smell like alcohol! Oh my god, you actually smell good." Her face lit up, not even caring how weird it was to have memorized someone's scent. But hey, in her defense, Kanen's usual aroma of nasty whiskey had been overwhelming. "How's the sober life treating you?"

Sybil stood and followed him with soundless steps, "Two of my brothers are in town. I don't really have to worry about Hugo cause he's thirteen and knows everything, but David has little league practice." She snapped her fingers and King was glued to her side like the best boy he was, taking a quick lick at Jace's hand as Sybil passed by him through the door. "I've got like... four hours to kill, so I'd rather have my best friend with me while I'm doing nothing. Might go on an adventure ya know.." She winked at him, flicking King in the nose when she realized he was going in for another make out session on Jace's hand. "Stop that, if he doesn't want those kisses then don't give them." King whined and put his ears back but complied with mom's orders, glued to her left knee.

Kanen has almost made it off the field when he was ambushed yet again. Someone made some snappy remark about being sober, and he was ready to snap right back. But when he turned around and found Ash standing there, Kanen’s face immediately softened. The tensed up muscles in his back relaxing as they eased down. “Honestly, I’ve had a headache for the past three day and a half, and it doesn’t seem to want to go away.” Kanen responded.

He paused for a moment, thinking about how Mr. West had said Ash vouched for him. "It's whatever though." He said quickly, before she could ask about it. He stopped walking once they reached one of the stands, slowly taking a seat on one of the metal benches. "So...Why'd you do it?" He asked. Suddenly, Kanen seemed very interested in his helmet, playing with the straps instead of looking at Ash.

Nova Abrisst
Drawing birds was always something that Nova was good at... she didn't know why, she just was. So as she sat in the back of her pick up, lightly singing a cover of '500 miles', she watched one of the crows that had perched itself on the telephone wires that strung over the parking lot, etching out it's figure and details to the best of her ability. She was almost finished, almost perfect when the bird gave two loud 'caws' and took flight, frown settling on her face. Jerk, she thought as she sat up a little straighter, grabbing her phone as it buzzed. Jace was on his way out to the parking lot... three minutes ago. Nova smiled gently to herself, biting her lip and looking around as she heard murmurs. And there he was, guitar on his back, blonde mop atop his head... with Sybil by his side. She wondered for a moment if they were a thing... but brushed it off after a second.

"Well look who it is," She cooed, resting her hands on the rim of her pickup's bead and placing her chin on her folded hands, not paying much attention to her sketch of the crow as it fell onto her lap.

June
June had forgotten about her camera, but she couldn’t even remember it as she followed behind. Despite herself, she wasn’t a fan of ambulances. The noises and everyone rushing, it made her overwhelmed. But she pushed past it to make sure Mason would be alright. That was until they asked her to step back. “Wait I’m—“ Suprisingly Mason had said she was his sister which she was about to do. Therefore she was allowed on,

She quickly went besides him once more, almost like a protective bird. She looked down at him when he asked if she could stay with him, she smiled gently, trying to remain positive for him. “Of course. I want to see that you’re okay. Even though, once we get there I’m sure you’ll be fine big guy.” She wasn’t sure what would happen. But she wasn’t about to make him more worried, he looked like he just needed someone to be there. Although, she just hoped people weren’t too concerned about her leaving to the hospital without telling anyone. But who was there to tell? Maybe Grace, but she considered it as payback.

When he mentioned the headache, Ash winced, instantly feeling bad for being kind of loud. "Oh, sorry. That sounds sucky." She thought about the hangover she'd had the next day and imagined that trying to be sober after being addicted was probably like that, but a hundred times worse. Ash felt bad for him but at the same time, she was relieved to know that he'd actually given it up. The last thing she'd wanted to hear was that Kanen had gone to jail for what happened to Neck-Tie.

Ash followed after him to the bench. At his question, she found herself pausing, thinking over what had happened last Saturday. She hesitated, and started to play with her backpack strap before she slowly took a seat next to him. "I... don't know." Ash admitted, shrugging helplessly. "I guess... I mean, they wanted to put you in jail, and I just..." she was at a loss for words again and now looked down at her lap, at her cheerleading outfit that again, she'd been too lazy to change out of it, and soon her fingers were picking at the edge of the skirt instead of her backpack. "I didn't want to see you there. Or, not see you again."

She finally took in a deep breath and looked at Kanen. "Look, I know a lot of people don't like you, and you act like you don't like yourself a lot. But I mean, I wouldn't have vouched for anybody, you know? I did it because you're a good person, Kanen, whether you believe it or not. You were dealt a horrible hand, and I'm sorry about what happened to you and with your dad last year, and..." Ash looked back down at her skirt. "And like, we're not super close, but I'm sorry for not being there." She shook her head, realizing she had gone on some sort of tangent. "Look. I didn't want you behind bars because you got alcohol for me. You don't deserve to be there."

"Fair enough." Jace's best friend was his guitar, and he didn't go anywhere without it, so he could understand where Sybil was coming from as far as it went with that dog. He flinched when it licked his hand again, and he shot it a dirty glare which, of course, the dog probably didn't understand. But it made Jace feel better. "An adventure with you sounds like it would literally be an adventure." Sybil wasn't like other people Jace had met. She was more sure of herself, and a little crazier -- but in a good way. "What kind of adventure?"

But as he asked her, they arrived in the parking lot, and Nova called out to them. "Oh, hey. I didn't expect to see you here." Jace said, blinking a bit in surprise as he came to a stop for a moment before continuing towards her old truck. "What are you doing out here?" He asked, glancing from Nova to Sybil and her devil dog.

Mason kind of felt bad for asking June to come with, and it almost made him feel wimpy. But he wanted, or rather needed, someone with him, especially when the pain was still so much that he could barely see straight. What if they said some kind of confusing thing that he didn't understand? He needed someone on his side to at least try and vouch for him, even if June wouldn't understand anything they'd ask, at least he'd have some kind of backup.

As they drove to the hospital, the paramedics started asking questions. Allergies? Mason had none. Other medications? Again, none. Parent or guardian to call? He had hesitated, and then shook his head. They insisted that they needed to call someone to meet them at the hospital, and finally Mason gave up and gave them his mother's number.

Of course, when they called it and told her what happened, she had said she couldn't come, and ended the call.

"Umm, thanks for coming." Mason told June, a little awkwardly, as the ambulance got closer to the hospital. "Seriously. It means a lot."

Sawyer
Sawyer felt bad. Of course she did. Her smile dropped off her face and she leaned heavily against the door again as Grace spoke. She tried to interrupt her a few times to inform her she already talked to Ryan that morning but it was of no use. Sawyer just listened to Grace talk, step into her pace with a glance at Sawyer's mouth that was anything but innocent, and then turn around and try to leave. No, ma'am.

"I believe you, babe. I already talked to Ryan this morning." She informed Grace, her tone nothing but sincere, "And I'm sorry for avoiding talking to you. I was pissed off for a stupid non-existent reason. I'm an idiot." After a beat her smirk appeared again, "But we don't have to go anywhere." Sawyer pushed herself off the door and sauntered up close to Grace. She placed one hand on the side of the other girl's face and another on her shoulder and then promptly spun her around and backed her up into the door. Sawyer's smirk shifted into a Cheshire grin as she leaned in a hair's breadth away from Grace's mouth. Her breath whispered across Grace's lips and back to her own.

"You forgive me?"

"I don't know yet... The woods always offer adventure." Sybil smirked and winked at Jace as she trailed beside him, letting King inch forward so he could explore in a little circle around them, she lifted her head when she heard the familiar voice. An adventure with me? Hmmm... Sybil was a little lost in her thoughts when she was pulled out of her mental fog and laid eyes on the old truck. "Oooooohh..." She purred and abandoned Jace, skipping a few steps ahead of him to inspect the vehicle. "I love it, what year is she?" She was slightly envious and in love with truck, her own wasn't parked to far away. King boofed in excitement, just running around the truck, trucks meant adventure for him.

June
She sat besides him fiddling with her empty camera pouch as the paramedics asked him questions. She was more than willing to help if he needed it, but he seemed to answer them fine. Then she saw him hesitate with his mother. June looked up and over at the paramedics then Mason. However, he eventually gave and told them the number. Despite the sounds going around, she was able to hear the voice of his mother. Then frowned as she hung up. Even she wasn’t coming. It made her pretty disheartened for Mason.

Of course, she had to hide it as he talked to her. “Oh, of course. From afar it looked pretty horrific. So, I don’t think I could bring myself to just leave you like that.” She said honestly and with a soft smile. Then she saw they arrived at the hospital and quickly stood up. “Everything will be fine, trust me.” She said confidently to him as the back doors opened.

Nova Abrisst
"She's a '98, a hand-me-down from when my old man bought her brand new," Nova grinned at the fellow truck enthusiast, sitting up a little straighter before letting her eyes float to Jace. He was so cute, so unsure of his surroundings, yet something fiery and passionate seemed to lay beneath him. Kenan was... well, the opposite from what she could tell. Absolutely sure of himself, confident in his stature and his way with words, and the thing that laid beneath, well... Nova wasn't sure. Nonetheless, Jace was here now with something of a friendly smile on his face. "Currently waiting to go home. Would rather not be in the house while the parents fight about where to put the couch," She explained to Jace with a bit of a sigh, glancing over his beanie to make sure it was straight, and sadly for her, it was. A softer smile fell onto Nova's lips as she sighed, looking down to close her sketchbook before meeting Jace's cerulean eyes once more. "What about you? Off to do anything fun?"

Kanen shook his head as Ash did her best to explain why she did what she did. "Stu almost fucking died." Kanen muttered, setting his helmet down by his feet. He was grateful for what she had done for him, but he didn't believe that he deserved any sort of special treatment. The law was the law. Kanen had deliberately, knowingly, broken in. Because of it, someone had gotten hurt. Lots of people had gotten hurt. Kanen didn't think he was above punishment just because he had been dealt a rough hand...

"I could've killed someone, Ash." He continued."I'm thankful you got involved, but I'm not so sure it was the right choice, ya know? You might see something in me that I don't, but I don't think you see the full picture either..." He paused, thinking over his words carefully.

"Thank you, but one the last person in this whole town who deserves a second chance. I threw my life away. Me." He was silent for a few seconds. "I fucking pray to God that Stu is ok..."

Once inside, Mason was whisked away rather quickly, and they asked June to wait in the waiting room. Of course, she didn't have to wait long before a certain little brother showed up.

Drake was a mess, but he was there. He'd overheard his mother's conversation and had managed to drag himself out of bed, put on pants, and convinced her to come. He hadn't showered since Friday night, so he probably smelled a bit, his shirt was wrinkled, and his pants were dirty, but the important thing was that he was even there. Drake gave a weak smile when he saw June, recognizing her from the party when Mason had talked about her.

"Hey, June." He said, stopping beside her with a faint smile. "Did you come here with him?"

And just behind Drake was their lovely mother. She was a smaller woman in her late thirties, with the same dark hair as her sons, and dark brown eyes. And, of course, she smelled strongly of liquor. She glared at June as Drake approached, but said nothing, instead taking a seat nearby and pulling out her phone while she waited for them to be able to leave.

Well, Jace could understand the couch situation. Not the truck conversation. Jace was a music enthusiast, not a vehicle one. So he stood there in silence, looking between the girls as they spoke about trucks, all of it going clear over his head. Until the conversation turned back to something he understood, and his shoulders relaxed.

"Nothing fun. I think. I don't know. I was just going to head home, and then Sybil's dog viciously attacked me." Jace looked down at the dog with a deadly glare before looking back at Nova.

Ash was quiet for a moment following Kanen's words. "He'll be okay, though, I think. You could visit him, you know. It might make you feel better about the situation." Plus, Stu was a new kid, so he probably didn't have a ton of friends to visit him in the hospital, anyway. Kanen might not be the best visitor, but he was a visitor nonetheless. And Ash doubted that Stu remembered anything that had happened, including who had brought the alcohol, so it wasn't like he'd naturally be mad at Kanen. Unless someone told him.

"Look." She turned on the bench so that she was facing Kanen now, deciding that there had to be another way for her to get through to him. Sure, there might have been a million guys better than Kanen, but he was special in his own way. Kind of. "Anyone could've brought that alcohol. It wasn't your fault that he drank too much. And actually, he did because of a dare, not you."

"It was a mistake, but you can always grow from it. Use this as an opportunity to get your life back together. It's a wake up call, right? And my dad said that Stu will be fine and back to school in no time." Ash hesitated before asking; "Speaking of getting your life back together, my dad said he suggested you move out. Did you find somewhere to go?"

Grace

“Okay, okay, good.” Grace exhaled relief. A piece of her hair moving out of the way from her own breath, She smiled softly at Sawyer’s apology. She was about to say something when Sawyer told her they didn’t have to leave, Grace furrowed her brows In confusion for a second. “What do you mean-“ Was all she got out, and within a few seconds they switched positions. Oh, oh. It’s safe to say the confusion was gone and placed with something entirely different.

She tried to ignore how fast her heart was beating, her eyes were locked on Sawyer’s she leaned in much, much. Closer. She asked if she’s forgiven. Is that even a question? Holy crap. She liked this girl, ...really liked. Grace didn’t speak for a few seconds, her eyes dropping down to Sawyer’s lips every so often. She was barely inches from her, and it’s the reason why Grace couldn’t form words. Hey Grace, you in there? Do something, say something. ..Damn it. Just kiss her. Finally her thoughts caught up to her.

“Hell yes.”

She barely had a chance to see Sawyer’s reaction to what she said, considering she didn’t give her a chance to. She crashed her lips onto hers, and all the uncertainty if she even should’ve was gone, and in an instant, a terrible day turned into an amazing one. It was a heated kiss, it was like she wrapped all her feelings and just threw them at her. She could kiss her forever and never complain. God, who would?

"You should see him in bite training... All he did was give you kisses." Sybil gave him a look and shook her head, "I love the truck by the way.. Mine's over there, restored her with the help of the whole Weston clan." She pointed on of her long slender fingers over at the 1979 Chevy Bonanza, King decided that was the right time to jump into Nova's truck. "Ah shit the you stupid cow. Get the fuck outa there." King barked at her in defiance and happily sat down in the passenger seat, his tail thumping happily on the cushion with his tongue lolling out of his mouth in a way that made him look like he had the stupidest of grins.

She understood she couldn’t go in with Mason, but she hated to seperate from him after what he said to her. She paced a little until she saw someone head towards her. Well two people head towards her. She wasn’t quite familiar with them until she started to think real hard. Mason’s family... does he have a younger brother... what is his name? When he talked to her she was quick to reply. “Oh yeah. I wanted to make sure he was okay from the school to here...” She didn’t mention why she was staying however.

Then she saw someone behind him. She looked over and smelled the stench of her and him combined. Although, she wanted to be polite and not say anything. However, she frowned as she saw, who she assumed was the mother, annoyed. She turned back to the brother and smiled again. “I don’t think we properly met though, I’m June and you are?”

Nova couldn't help but laugh a little at the thought of the pup next to Sybil's feet attacking anything. He seemed so happy and loving and energetic. Kelbi was always just... lazy. Didn't care to give kisses or jump around, mainly just wanted to sit near you and maybe be pet every now and again. "Are you vicious?" The brunette cooed in the dog's direction, crinkling her nose when the pup gave her a happy boof back before he jumped into her passenger seat. Nova loved energetic dogs, she just truly had no clue what to do with them. "She's beautiful, love the blue," Nova nodded, admiring Sybil's truck. It had a lot more character than her old burgundy Chevy, but she loved it all the same.

Sucking up some guts, Nova turned back to Jace with a semi-nervous smile. "So Jace," She breathed, barely audible as she scratched the back of her neck before sitting up and letting her face and shoulders soften. Why're you so nervous weirdo? Deep breaths, she told herself as she looped her earbuds around her neck. "If you aren't doing anything, do you mind showing me that loaner guitar you have?" Nova's voice was gentle, and extremely understanding, as if she was already anticipating the answer to be no. "It's totally cool if you can't, I just don't want these callouses to go away completely and I'd like to remember at least three chords by the time I pick up a guitar again," Obviously joking, her hazel eyes fell to her hands once more, fiddling with her ring finger before catching his eyes again.

Raven walked through the halls of school, making her way to headquarters. As she calls it. It’s basically just where the school newspaper ..well makes the newspaper. June’s camera being held up by the strap around her neck, she sighed blissfully. Who cares she didn’t get the interview? She didn’t want to know what those boys thought on the season. She got a better story to headline. Ah, she could see it now.

Star Quarterback hospitalized!...by own teammate? Pictures inside!

If only this could sell, she’d make millions, maybe not millions..Oh well. She’ll have to settle for the school’s attention. Thank the heavens June had given her the camera. She made a mental note to thank the pretty redhead soon. Walking into the classroom, a few students here and there doing their own work on the newspaper, she clapped her hands to gain their attention. And spoke up.

“Listen up, nerds. Perfect story for front cover.” Looking at every individual, making sure all eyes were on her, she began to tell them the headline, she smiled as she heard murmurs of agreement, before one raised her hand. She rolled her eyes and made a show of it. “Yes, Georgia?” Raven disliked Georgia. The only person who didn’t seem to see it was in-fact Georgia. “Doesn’t it have to get approval?” She asked.

“Let me worry about that, just get it done. Now if you’ll excuse me..I have pictures that need to get printed.” She grinned happily, everyone’s attention turned back to their work. Raven went to the desk gathering essentials, and writing down notes she needed. Georgia approached her, she sighed heavily, and put the pencil she was writing with behind her ear. Awaiting Georgia to speak. “That camera looks awfully familiar.” She said, Raven nodded.

“Yes, a certain red-head..let me borrow it. I don’t steal, Georgia.” Raven rolled her eyes for a second time today, before smirking. “Though, i can safely say I’ve stolen a few..“ she trailed off her flirty remark, seeing as she didn’t have Georgia’s attention, Georgia’s eyes were still locked on the camera. She furrowed her brows, Raven admitted the shy red-head was intriguing, but why was she so interested? “I’ll return it. Just as soon as i print these out.” She gave a smile, that was all too fake. Raven will return it without question, the fake smile was just for Georgia to fuck off.

“June & I are close, i could return it.” She said, Raven raised a brow but didn’t say anything further. She began to look for the papers she needed ignoring Georgia entirely, when she found them a small smile formed on her lips in victory, her smile quickly faded she looked up to see Georgia still standing there. “Jesus, okay. If it’ll get you out of here, you can return it.” She took the memory card out. Eying Georgia before speaking, she looked like she was about to say something about it, but Raven had enough.

“We need the pictures, i’ll return the memory card later.” She finished and handed the camera to her. She returned to her work. Remembering after about a second, looking up. “Oh! Tell her-“ there wasn’t a Georgia to talk to anymore, she left. Can’t say Raven was complaining though..

Ryan's day was very droll. His classes were boring as always. In his english class, he was to hand in an essay on his summer. He scoffed when he was told to do it the class prior. For Ryan his summer was the same as it had always been. Working in the garage, and hanging out with Sawyer. Other then that nothing had happened. He wrote his essay the night before it was due. Seemed normal, doing an essay the night before. Hell he wouldn't of even done it if it wasn't a required class for him to graduate. The teacher, Mrs.Morrel, loved it. She even told him that he needed to join the newspaper. His writing was that inviting.

His other classes were boring. After school though he decided to see what the paper was all about. It took him a while to find where the paper was located. He walked throught the door. "Excuse me..." He said. His backpack was slung over his shoulder. His helmat was under his right arm. "I'm looking for the newspaper, is this it?" He asked. It must have been weird. A senior asking to join the newspaper. That was something a freshman would do. "I was wondering if I could join?" He asked.

Raven was scribbling down notes. While using the computer, to get the photos off the memory card she borrowed from June. She barely noticed the voice. She looked up for a brief second and away continuing to write, “Hmm?” It took her a second to realize what he was saying, “Sorry, kind of focused here.” She took another look at him and put the notepad down. Her eyes traveled over him, “I suppose i can make time..” She tilted her head to one side.

“This is where stories happen.” She gestured around the run-down room. “Well, not exactly. They happen at other places, we just write em down.” She looked at him for a moment. Unsure if he understood what she’d said, she made it clearer just in case. “Yes. This is newspaper.” She crossed her arms, when he said he wanted to join, she studied his face.

“So, tell me..” she trailed off unsure of what to call him, she eyed his helmet off to the side of him. She continued. “Helmet, why do you want to join?”

Ryan listened to her as she spoke about this is where stories happen. Well they happen other places, but this is where their recorded. "Well focused, I need a better way to express myself other then my bike and fighting." He said looking at her. "Plus Mrs.Morrel, the senior english teacher said that I would be a perfect fit here." He said looking at the girl. "As for what you do, you record the events of what goes on at school. Then you share them with everyone here." He said blankly.

He set his backpack down and rested his helmat down ontop of his backpack. He noticed the amount of people. "Seems like you could use the help... How about it? I would make a great asset to have. Plus I've been known to help cause some news around here. Maybe even be able to give some insider info." That was very true. If no one would talk about what was going on. Ryan could make them talk. He could be very... persuasive when the need arises. "I've been known to be able to persuade people every now and again." He said leaning against the wall.

She listened as he spoke, okay. So he has a brain, good. She could work with that. She let him continue before speaking. She smirked, “I know plenty ways you could express yourself.” She sighed in fake defeat. “But if this is the way you’d want to do it..” She shrugged.

She looked around the room, and nodded. He was right, more people could benefit the paper.. “A great asset, huh..I’ll be judge of that.” She said, her eyes following him as he leaned against the wall.

Raising a brow at his words, she nodded. “Mm, I’d say so, considering you’ve persuaded me.” A smile playing her lips “Raven Rivera.” Introducing herself, leaning further in her chair. “Welcome to the team.”

"Welcome to the team." He was in. "Ryan Sebastian Austin Maxwell... Looking forward to working with you." He smirked. He had joined a club. The sole thing that he hadn't thought that he would do in his high school carrer. "I have a few other ways of expressing myself." He said giving her a wink. "So what have we got?" He asked taking a seat across from her. If he was now apart of the club he was going to have to start working there. Were they doing something about the party that past week, or was it something else. Raven was focused on something so it had to be something interesting that she didn't even notice him walk it.

"Anything that happened at the "Welcome to hell" Party this past weekend?" He asked wondering what that article would include. "Something else that just happened?" He asked. He hadn't heard of anything happening. Hell he spent that whole time after school just trying to find where the paper was located.

Kanen was glad to change subjects. He didn't want to sit here and think about all the ways he'd fucked up and all the ways he should've been better. However, Ash's next question wasn't any easier. Kanen didn't want to be a burden on anyone, but at the same, it felt wrong to just lie to Ash after she had done so much for him. He was silent for a moment, just stareing out onto the field with a blank expression. Kanen's thumb ended up on his knee, tracing small circles while the boy internally debated on what he should say. Finally, he opened his mouth.

"I umm..." Kanen stopped, his jaw tightening up. "I'm..." He began again, only to cut himself off once more. Kanen took in a deep breath, letting it out in a slow, drawn out sigh. "I've been living out of my dad's car the past few days...Parking down by the boardwalk at night..." He explained,"I used the boys locker room to clean up. I kinda puked all over myself he other night..."

Kanen quickly realized how that must've sounded. "I wasn't drinking!" He blurted quickly."I just haven't felt very good since like mid day yesterday..." His hand rose, massaging his forehead gently. Though he had come out on top against Mason, it'd left his ears ringing and his head spinning. Most of the reason he chose to sit down on the bench was because he was starting to feel nauseated. The symptoms of withdrawal came and went, but more than anything, Kanen was just tired. He hadn't had a good night's sleep since Friday night. Sleeping in a cramped sports car full of all of his belongings wasn't an easy endeavor, seeing as how Kanen wasn't really a small guy.
