Fantasy Welcome to the Pantheon (Reboot - Always Accepting!)

"I-it's...I...Look...Jamie.", she stammered. She looked at Jamie's hand and determination filled her eyes.

"It's a demon. It..."

Look out!

She managed to dodge and protect Jamie just as the demon swiped at them. Its nails had grown sharper, like claws.

"We don't have time for this right now, Amanda. Wake up already! Let's go!" Jamie pulled Amanda with him, forcefully, as he ran down a nearby darkened alley.

The second his was in the shadows, he shadenchanted both his and Amanda's clothing to a protective level of thin chainmail.

"You know what this is Amanda. How do we defeat it?" His voice and demeanor had shifted as he took the initiative; he was confident and powerful.

"no concern of me?, but he is kind of cute" he waves to phil winking, "things have changed between me and Loki i am no longer bound to him. plus right about now he should be getting burnt and stabbed to death." he shrugged not really caring about Loki seeing that he had spent close to three hundred years with him as a fox.

Phil blushed despite himself, and he was about to say something about how this asshole can politely go fuck off, and that while he might have had a few times where he felt slight attraction to a guy, it would most likely only be his old maths teacher and Hitch, and both of them clearly were not interested. Besides he had a girlfriend now and she was fucking awesome! Before he could open his mouth though he saw Hitch's left hand flicker, where he held them behind his back. It was the universal sign of - no. Do not do whatever it is you are thinking. Phil bit into his lip to try and keep from speaking, glaring at the apathetic asshole.

Hitch on the other hand only frowned slightly, before raising his one eyebrow once more. "Pity, I would have imagined that keeping you on a leash might have worked out better for all of us. As for Phil, he is unfortunately disinterested in your... specific form of socio-sexual interaction. He is bound to a priestess of Ilim in fact, and I am sure any interference would result in far more trouble than even his charm is worth." The last few lines were delivered with a tone that was slightly lower, and his frown became more pronounced.

Will snuck crouched behind a big plant in the shadows of the rooms in Olympus. He snuck and crept slowly and silently through the place. He was not specifically a hunting deity. Nor a god of shadows, theivery, illusions, or anything like that. Not even war, battle or fighting. However he WAS a hunter. He was the god who invented Guerilla warfare. Despite not being specifically a combat, fighting or war deity. His powers therefore allowing him to become invisible, inaudible, scentless as long as he was near a plant. If he was completely still, he was unseeable. The more movement he was using at a time, the less the camouflage magic was. The ambush was set in the place with the most flora. He was waiting there for Kanin to be led into the trap.

She looked at the chainmail and at Jamie. No, she was NOT getting upstaged by a kid. Not even Jamie.

Calcifer?

Yes?

Me and Mbuku didn't go through any offensive spells. I know you don't know any banishment spells, but do you know any offensive or defensive spells.

'Dle', it summons fire. Uh... 'Dlusk', the most basic shield. Will only protect against slow-moving physical things.

How fast do they have to be to break through.

Bullet-fast.

I can deal with that. Anything else?

I'm a bit busy here. Keeping off an angry demon, you know? Excuse me if I'm not really giving it my all.

No need to get nasty. Thanks, Calcifer.

You're welcome. Heads up, it just escaped me.

The demon stumbled into the alley, now on all four and scrambled towards them with a horribly human scream. Amanda stood in front of Jamie, pointed at the demon and said "Dle."

The fire started as a point of intense heat that ignited the air around it and exploded into a flaming orb of superheated gas. The fireball shot off from her finger, illuminating the entire alleyway, and smacked straight into the demon's ruined face. The sudden force threw it back and Amanda, unprepared for the backlash, fell backwards onto her back. The demon was burning now, worse than it had when Calcifer attacked it. In pain it started throwing off its clothes and its bag and attempted to put it out by rolling. When it was finished it was a blackened and charred crisp, more corpse than anything else. Yet it stood up and snarled.

(Kanin is in town talking to Hitch...)

Kanin sighed "well that's no fun" he shook his head and crossed his arms "you were so nice when i was a fox" he raised a eyebrow. "what happen am i to sexy for you to look at" he ran a hand through his hair and smirked looking at Phil 'hm how could i get him, i might be able to use my power but hitch might be able to block it' he said in his mind while smirking at Phil

(( you might want to watch Phil at all times, Kanin can be quite persuasive ))

Hitch's brow creased even further. "Let me rephrase... Try anything, anything at all and you will find yourself going up against me, and Ilim I assume. Do not try my patience." - Phil stepped forward, his eyes blazing. "You arrogant Piece of shit! You think I would even consider your- Wait, (He turned to Hitch) You were nice to him? You do not even like anima-"

Hitch spoke, his voice suddenly loud and authoritative. "Quiet. You are making a fool of yourself. Enjoy your time here Fox, I wanted only to know who you were. You can leave, that's all." He simply oozed contempt at the former fox. While he seemed confident, He knew that Loki had far more resources and allies... and with their blatantly difficult parting a conflict was most likely brewing. If the Fox survived his own avarice, then Hitch would reconsider whether or not he might have been an ally.

"Shut your mouth" he said to Phil his voice echoing showing that he was using his powers to make the boy obey him, he then turned his attention to Hitch "i do as i please now Hitch and i refuse to take orders" his voice was serious and all trace of cockiness was now gone as he glared at the god "and as for ho i am some know me as Kanin the animal god and others know me as Bragi the poetry god but all the same my name is Kanin" his voice still completely serious and his gaze turned into glare towards both the men.

Yet it stood up and snarled.

Jamie reached out and grabbed her before she could hit the stone ground.

"Maybe a little warning before you start casting magic spells all over the place huh?" Jamie  put her on her feet.

Looking around for something to enchant, he saw a bundle of 6 sticks about 10 inches long. Reaching down he grabbed the bundle. He flung 3 three of the sticks at the corpse, and they became arrows of pure shadow that streaked towards the corpse's head at a blinding speed.

"Pathetic beasts should learn their place. Why don't you just die quietly?" He connected two of the sticks and converted them in a single Lance of darkness.

"Can you cast that flame spell again, Amanda?"

"I find that hard to believe." Gaël came more alive as the cookies worked their sugary magic.

"Now, is their anything you wish do to. Besides spend hours dying on Dark Souls, that is." Gaël wiped his mouth with a napkin even though there were no crumbs.

((Sorry. Thought I replied when all I actually did was Like it))

((It's alright))

"You know about--well, you're a smart kid. Actually..." Akuma quickly typed his own name into the search bar.

Hitch reached out and touched the back of Phil's head, overriding all sensory input and disabling Kanin's control over him. He released Phil after only a moment, and before the boy could do anything he was ripped away from where the two was and into the office where they were heading in the first place. Just as everyone around them began to notice what was happening, Hitch waved his still outstretched hand and all people who noticed the altercation and teleportation, suddenly lost the memory they had, thinking that it was just their imaginations. All this time, his eyes did not leave Kanin's. He reached back and straightened his tie, while he walked forwards until he was invading Kanin's personal space, towering over him. He spoke then, letting all the power he had flow through him, his eyes glowing only slightly in the midday sun.

"I can understand that you think you are important, and think that you are strong. You might be used to domineering others with ease... Note that I am not others. I am control. I rule and determine the mindsets of countries and generations, billions dedicate years of their lives in order to facilitate me and my growth. Hundreds of Millions worship me daily. Animals? Please, how pathetic can you be? Poetry? All of the poetry in the universe make up little more than a flash that will and does always cede to the vastness that I encompass." Hitch smiled at Kanin, and reached out faster than would be perceptible to most beings, yet instead of striking Kanin he placed a palm, almost lovingly on his cheek. Through the connection, he made Kanin feel the billions and billions of people talking, connecting, generating media. The billions and Billions of Terabytes of data that flowed through the world, and the people who made them - all seemed like a crushing force that invaded not only Kanin's mind, but also his individuality - the sheer vastness of being making it difficult to distinguish between who he was and what memories were foreign. Naturally his body would become heavy, pulling towards the ground, but Hitch's hand on his cheek kept him upright. He leaned forwards and breathed into Kanin's ear.

"Don't presume to order my underlings ever again. I will wipe out your personality so fast you would not be able to spew forth a last witticism. You will spend the rest of eternity thinking you are a billion different people living a billion different lives at the same time, all inside of your head as your body gathers dust at my feet." Hitch let go and the connection was broken, leaving Kanin's body to crumble to the ground.

"Gods a have little more than stories to parody in this day and age. Excluding a few select groups of people, Gods are forgotten in a world that worships technology."

Kanin stumbled back and shook his head "Whoa" he said and then his original cockiness returned and he took a step forward "you know being the Norse god of animals i have millions of this earths deadliest animals at my disposal along with the creatures of the 9 realms, i could have you dead in a matter of seconds so don't think that being an animal god weakens me it makes me stronger than you Hitch. Do not take an asgardian lightly because it will be the death of you" he raised a brow "let me know if that cute boy ever needs some fun in his life and not an grumpy old man"  his form flickered between what he was wearing and a man in full golden asgardian armor and back again " Nice to see you Hitch" he was about to turn and walked away but lyker appeared next to him and delivered a punch to his face "Hey Hitch long time no see" Lyker didn't look like himself instead of blood red his eyes were golden his hair was messy and his clothes were that of an asgardian prince "if you'll excuse me" he punched Kanin again then grabbed him teleporting them both to a room in Olympus. "thought i was dead didn't you Bragi" Lyker said his voice dripping with venom.'

((Who's a tyrant now, bitch? This reminds me of Nox's conversation with Hitch from before, except she was a lot more civil.))

There was a slow clap that filled the room as Her voice filled the space.

"Nicely done, Hitch. You held out quite a bit longer than I anticipated. I must say that you do tyrannical so well."

Nox was clapping slowly as she  rose from Phil's shadow and leaned over on his shoulders.

"My my, what have I missed?"

(not exactly tyrant, but rather reactionary to someone who was obviously hostile. Hitch threatened in the face of danger, or at least danger to his ward. Nox was never in danger. there is a difference.)

Hitch looked over at Nox and ignored Loki and His pet. The fact that he thought he could kill him amused Hitch a great deal. Not that he showed it of course. "Ah, Nox... asserting truth with only half the information, and then making moralistic judgments based on that flawed and limited understanding. How very like you. As for the Fox, well... I would have let him have all his deluded fun at my expense, but His interest in another whom I have been grooming to take my place, interest that clearly was not savory in the least - could not be ignored. I am assuming that Loki will now go neuter his pet, perhaps I can leave and get some work done." Hitch shrugged at them all, spotting his car finally coming closer from afar.
