((I'm really starting to despise these new quote boxes))

(not exactly tyrant, but rather reactionary to someone who was obviously hostile. Hitch threatened in the face of danger, or at least danger to his ward. Nox was never in danger. there is a difference.)

((I realized it after I sent it, but Hitch did overreact, and Nox doesn't have to always be reasonable. I miss being a bitch after being sweet little Jamie))

"Come now, Hitch. Giving me the cold shoulder? What happened to you? You look so devoid of happiness." Nox glided over to Hitch and patted his shoulder comfortingly.

Kanin stumbled back and looked at Lyker with a glare "Loki, why exactly arent you in a cell in Helhim?" Kanin said and his for changed so now he was in asgardian clothing "Well father hates you more than he hate me" Lyker said before summoning his staff and twisting the handle so it buzzed with electricity, he shot out a blast and Kanin dodged it using his fast reflexes "where is your little boyfriend, i can still remember what he sounds like when he moans and screams." Kanin said smirking and licking his lips "Lyker growled and summoned a gun "not my choice of weapon but it will do" he shot of a whole round.

Will activated his powers to block Kanin from reading Lyker's mind. He could no longer predict Lyker's moves so quickly. This very much threw him off his game. It would be easier for Lyker to land a blow now. Kanin had just landed after dogding some projectile. But he landed on a trap! A trap Will had set. A large club with bludgeoning rocks attached to came swinging at Kanin from nowhere. It cracked right into Kanin's side, cracking some ribs and sending him flying. He landed roughly. He was venerable for attack right now, seeing as he's prone on the ground.

Hitch casually sidestepped her hand and also moved out of the line of fire. He noted all of the people around the area, who were screaming. He frowned and then snapped his fingers. All of the humans in a two mile radius dissipated and appeared unconscious a outside of the city. He looked over to Nox. "Will you put them on their asses, or should I? Either way this is beyond unreasonable behavior and should not be allowed, even from ones as callous as these two." Seeing that some of the missed rounds were heading for more important landmarks, He created copies of himself in front of their trajectory, destroying the forms instead of the buildings and statues.

Kanin flew into the wall and hit the floor bellowing in pain, Lyker walked over to him his eyes gold with anger "Listen and Listen well Bragi, do to my fathers decree i must let you live but he didnt say anything about putting you on the brink of death" Lyker smashed his foot on to Kanin's broken rib cage and he screamed "Let me go" his voice echoed "nice try Bragi but that isnt going to work anymore" he stepped away from bragi "Alright will what should we do with him" Lyker pulled out the ocarina and played the song from last time making it so Kanin couldn't move

"Why would I? They aren't hurting anyone. If mortal lives are placed in danger, I will save them, but I am here in an observatory fashion. Honestly, you are quite capable of handling this situation alone, but don't. They need to get this out of their systems. It's been building for centuries. The sooner they end this, the sooner I can visit Odin without hearing him go on and on about how he misses Loki." Nox summoned to chairs for them to sit in and sat back.

@FrostXShadow

"Well I WANTED to possibly make a nice foxfur outfit out of him"

Will says regretfully. Kanin whimpers at the sound of it.

"But I have another idea that will be even MORE shameful!" Will says devilishly as he steps out of his camouflage spell and fires an arrow cruely at Kanin's bottom. It lands in a very painful area....

Hitch looked at the seat with a sneer. "Sorry, but I have work. I shall leave you to decide how you will explain this to the general public... perhaps you will allow them to become aware of us all again. If not, let me know that I can erase the digital proof of what transpired around here." Hitch nodded at her, before teleporting away. When he walked into his office, he saw Phil sitting on the ground shaking, with his arms around his knees, which were drawn against his chest. Hitch frowned. "Get up and get to work. If this situation was too much for you then perhaps This job will be too much as well." He walked over to his desk and looked at the screens, which began to flicker as he sifted through the thousands of reports that streamed in. Phil looked up from where his face was hidden before. His eyes were red, and his shaking did not stop. After a few minutes he got up, shakily, and then walked over to his desk. He sat down and looked sadly at Hitch before he began typing as well. "No problem... boss." Hitch chose to ignore how grating and raw Phil's voice sounded.

Kanin screamed in pain and lyker laughed "Hey bragi how does it feel to bottom for once in your life" he snickered and picked Kanin up teleporting to Asgard and dropping him in font of Odin before going back to william "well that was fun" he shrugged

"...And the gods allow this? How do you mortals explain the killing sprees?"

@Delacare

((seriously, though. I'm pretty sure at least one god would show up in Times Square and shout WORSHIP ME, if only out of boredom))

(accountability does not seem to be their strong suit. Hitch at least removed the mortals from the situation and tried to keep their attentions away. I am guessing that the gods will just make up some shit excuse and blame it on a gassline explosion or something.)

"The mortals without Truth simply ignore what they cannot explain or what makes them too sad. There is usually someone blaming a terrorist, a mentally unstable invalid, or a natural disaster. The Gods may be powerful, but they limited that power when they allowed it to be tied to the faith of mortals. Mortals are fickle creatures and our affections swag with the winds. It is the Gods' own fault for shunning their duties and allowing mortals to find more reliable ways ofgetting what they want." Gaël was sorry that Akuma was so distraught, but this was the way of the world now.

Gaël was sorry that Akuma was so distraught, but this was the way of the world now.

"So what's the point of the gods, then? If mortals can live without them, why were they created? ...the gods didn't want some half-breed wandering around, so they sent me to the spirit realm, to eradicate my own kind. That was my purpose. Have I been brought back by the gods to feel what it is like to have no purpose..?"

((EXISTENTIAL CRISIS))

Nox watched as Hitch disappeared, and as the mortals were thrown into disarray.

"Children without a hand to guide may find themselves lost in the dark. Luckily, there are stars that shine at night. The quiet whisper of the sleeping sun can sooth greatest beast. So, rest my children in this shade for the morning light is sweet." Nox stood and night fell.

Over the city mortals looked up and saw the stars. For a single moment, they all remembered the Gods who had held their hands in the dark. Then, they forgot all. The citizens of the city were transported back to their original positions as if nothing had changed.

"The shadows fill all holes, the dark hides every blemish. Pock and marked in day, becomes whole and wholesome at night." The cracks and gunshot holes caused by the battle were swept away. The night became day once again and Nox was no longer there.

"I suppose I must get back to work, as well. The universe does not tend to itself."

((EXISTENTIAL CRISIS btw Akuma's half demon long story))

((Aww poor Akuma. Don't worry though, I was prepared for this.))

Gaël sat down at the table and motioned for Akuma to do the same.

"You really know nothing do you? The Gods were not created for mortals, the mortals were created by the Gods. That is why they are so similar. Excluding the first Gods to emerge, like Nox and Ilim, all the other Gods saw it fun to play with the mortals' lives. Unfortunately, they tied themselves to the mortals in the process. Most of the Gods don't even remember why or how. The rest of them simply do not care. As I said, mortals are fickle so eventually the will turn to he Gods when technology is not enough. We are also extremely self destructive, so once we survive the next cataclysm, they will be there to pick up the pieces."

((Not canon. This is from Gaël's POV))

Jamie reached out and grabbed her before she could hit the stone ground.

"Maybe a little warning before you start casting magic spells all over the place huh?" Jamie  put her on her feet.

Looking around for something to enchant, he saw a bundle of 6 sticks about 10 inches long. Reaching down he grabbed the bundle. He flung 3 three of the sticks at the corpse, and they became arrows of pure shadow that streaked towards the corpse's head at a blinding speed.

"Pathetic beasts should learn their place. Why don't you just die quietly?" He connected two of the sticks and converted them in a single Lance of darkness.

"Can you cast that flame spell again, Amanda?"

Amanda didn't react. She stood with a dazed smile. Oh, she could get used to that. Calcifer turned the corner and spotted the bag and a thing that had fallen out of it.

Amanda! There's a dictionary in the bag! We need it!

Amanda, still riding off the rush, stood and looked over at Jamie.

"Jamie, cover me!" She started running for the bag. The demon swiped at her and was deflected by a shouted 'Dlusk'. Amanda jumped and rolled the rest of the way, catching the book as she went by. She stood up and laughed triumphantly. She didn't see the demon readying itself for a lunge that would skewer her on its burnt claws.

"Amanda, No!" Jamie tried to grab for Amanda, but she moved too quickly.

He saw her grab the book and the demon preparing to turn her into a human kebab. He hauled back and laughed the spear in his hand, impaling the demon corpse and pinning it to the alley wall.

"Amanda what are you doing? Do you want to die?" He ran up to her, furious.

"Of course not.", she said, slightly shocked by her potential death. She opened the book and saw a spell written in the margin of the first page. Of course, if a mage was summoning demons, wouldn't a banishment spell be the most important thing to remember? The demon strained, working to free itself from the wall.

"Gesud numanid!", she commanded.

"Eranekneb!", it screamed.

"Nekud atrem. Nasuyl vanadlurev remokanek adyskid. Inanuman va'Ilim asivru'agid. Abak lit na'etelveh mos re'an mehid!" A shockwave of orange energy pulsed out of her open mouth and into the demon. It writhed and screamed until its vocal cords stopped working. Then it stopped and fell limp on the spear, its mouth still open. It was calm for a second and then blood red lightning burst out of its chest and into the ground. Then everything was still again. Amanda collapsed on her knees.

"...You still want to go to the Tower?", she asked weakly.

"Well, nobody taught me this. They were too busy trying to get rid of me."

Akuma rubbed his chin, absorbing what he had just heard.

"That's enough about the gods for now. I'm getting migraines. You've told me of your family (somewhat), I should tell you of mine. For you see,"

Akuma leaned back in his chair, going into Forrest Gump mode. "I am a very unique case. My mother, who shall remain unnamed (nobody told me her name, anyway), had certain... cravings. What's the word? She had a fetish for demonic creatures. So when a certain foolish incubus approached her, she couldn't resist. Nobody really thought a demon and a goddess could have children, so... I was born. Naturally, they had to get rid of me, and the gods needed to rid themselves of the demons, so someone suggested I kill my own kind. You know the rest."

@Delacare

((And this has nothing on actual mythology in terms of convoluted nonsense))

"i'd rather go to sleep in a comfortable bed lets just say Asgard jail is not high on hospitality" he stretched "so what was the question you were going to ask me?" he asked putting a hand on his hip with a raised eyebrow.

Kanin

Kanin woke up laying in a hospital bed "w-where am i" he frantically looked around "w-who am i" he grabbed his aching head "your name is Bragi and you are in asgard" a doctor said walking up to him and put a hand on his head, Kanin flinched but calmed down "w-why am i here, who did this to me "Bragi does the name Loki ring a bell" the doctor ask Kanin looks puzzled "wait Bragi,Loki aren't they norse gods" he asked the doctor with a puzzled look "w-wait you said my name is Bragi a-am i a god?" he asked and the doctor sighed

Jeremy stared at his best friend as if she had grown another head, then he burst out laughing. He fell to the ground and pulled her into a tight hug.

"Mandy, you are crazy." Jamie was back to normal, as he giggled out his relief.

The shadows on their clothes faded away as the shadow arrows and darkness Lance faded back to sticks. The charred corpse fell to the ground suddenly, and Jamie jumped back, hiding behind Amanda.

"Can we just go somewhere else to talk first Mandy?" He whispered, grasping her arm tightly.
