[Weapons of the Gods] Wisdom of the Wulin Sage

So, background posted. Where should I be putting my last 5 destiny points. Skills, kungfu, a lore I am missing, wealth? Not really sure what will be needed.
 
I have just added to my character. I believe that itis complete. Could I perhaps join in with the practice combat?
 
Okay, I believe Paper Willow is complete. I need to make a tab for Kung-fu, so I know what everything does without having to filter through everything.


Other than that, I think she is ready to get started.


Question on the Kung-fu she has. Does Heaven's Thunder only work with swords, or can I use a Saber?
 
I know got some requests for sparring but think it would be easier in game, since I'll probably get you started on fighting mooks, so you get a good feel for it. The game is simple to play but long to master so to speak.


I'll start the gaming thread either later today or tomorrow. I didn't get any replies yet from the others who were interested, so we are just going to go ahead.

Question on the River. How many dice can you put into the river? And if you decide to not use the dice in the River, can you dump them as a free action and refill it with new dice, or do you have to flow dice out to make room for more.


For instance, say my River can hold 3 dice, a 8 9 10. I roll 4 dice and get 4 8 8 4. I flow the 8 out to get a rol of 3* 8s so a 38 rolled. But I want to put the 2* 4s into the river, but the River already has 9 10 in there. Can I dump the 9 and move the 4 4 into the River. Or would I have had to flow the 8 9 out of the river on the roll to make space?


And I just learned that weapons don't do damage specifically, The damage dice is determined by the success factor then modified by the weapon type adjusted for the quality of the weapon and any technique you are using.
 
You can only have 2 dice in river at rank 4, than it increases each rank you get. But yeah essentially the way it works, you roll first, then you decide what dice you want to put in your river, you can discard all the dice in your river to replace them with other indeed . So yes you would drop the 9 and 10, to make room for the two 4s.


Damage is basically this:


Result die + damage and result die can vary a lot but usually anybody who is getting hit by anything will use his chi aura (2 at rank 4), so if you are only rolling one die of damage, there is a good chance, that you aren't even going to hurt him. Now of course, think of rank 1 wulin, who have a chi aura of 5...you would need to get very lucky to even hurt them.
 
As part of our starting gear, do we have any money to buy us some basic stuff, like meals for the day or a night at an inn?
 
Sadly nope no money, which is why they have the wealth advantage but good news, you can earn money in play (after chargen, can't buy any ranks in wealth) but since no official fight started yet, I would allow you to make a change to your char sheet if you want to get wealth 1 basically enough to get by.
 
Technically, it could but well, not like any pc would be able to afford it, it's a level 4 treasure to get a Kung Fu Manual (yeah they are rare and precious commodities). Level 4 treasure roughly equal to wealth 5 or more to buy.
 
Which reminds me, The Kung fu style of your clan is found in the manual Armor of the God, not only does it come with Dragon Palms, it also includes Armor of the God(rare style). Short of meeting Ao Lan, this might be a nice alternative.
 
Wooo that sounds good, can that be bought through roleplaying and destiny points? Like, if I meet the yellow turbans and through their contacts and a series of quests I find a secret location with treasures of the clan with the manual in it, obviously it's not like it's gonna happen overnight, but can it be done?
 
It could be a possibility indeed. Technically when you find the manual you would just need to pay the loresheet for Armor of the Gods rare style. Treasure 0 when you buy the loresheet.
