[Weapons of the Gods] Wisdom of the Wulin Sage

I had a rough week too, so the few moments to breath in the story was useful. That day where the group went from opening post to 10 replies before I got home from work and the Wulin leaving the market - that was a little too intense. I wasn't sure I could keep up with that.

For the other players, is there anything you would like to get as possessions or contacts from this. Paper Willow will be playing the negotiator through this. So if there is anything you might want her to spend some chi to make sure we get, let me know now.

Also, I wanted to know what people were thinking of spending their Destiny points on. I know I need to pick up another rank of Politics, a rank of Learning, and then a few Lores (Superior & Minion, Confucianism). That would be 4 Destiny for me. Not sure how much off-time it would take, but I would need to find someone to teach me or to find scrolls to train me.

Can we assume that it wouldn't be hard to find a teacher in the higher Lightfoot techniques in Mating Butterflies, or any other city. I figure that some of the other Common ones would be harder, and that Uncommon would be harder still, unless you are in a city that is run by the organization that controls that Uncommon style.

Just read some 'Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon': reminded me of this :D

Also, writing in Mandarin is surprisingly entertaining :)

I have no idea what 1000 silver coins would buy for us. It might be a huge amount, or it might be a pittance. I know I have Wealth 1, and what that can buy. And I know we need to use Destiny if we want things for permanent use as possessions.

That said, the roll is to try to make it easier to get some things we will need (like training and possessions) much easier.

1000 silver coins is very decent, basically unless you want to buy luxury items, you probably won't have financial difficulties for awhile.

Well, I understand about getting decent living from 1000 coins, but as Wulin, I expect we don't need to just live comfortably. I guess I would want to know what some things would cost in coins, since the book doesn't have an equipment list.

What would a quality Bow cost in coins? Or a quality Horse? Or a Kung Fu Manual of Uncommon Techniques?

I know the prices in the book based on wealth, but in coins I would rather have a merchant say they can get me A, B and C as part of my helping them on a mission rather than accept coin and find out later on that I could only afford A & B.

This brings up a question I asked earlier. I don't know what you guys plan to do in the next improvements. Are you looking for any equipment, training materials, or anything material that a merchant could help us acquire. He might also have contacts or clues about treasures that we might be able to adventure for.

Any thoughts? These could be things we barter for now before we leave for his escapade.

Xiang-Long is looking for any information he can get regarding the yellow turbans and/or the lost Heaven Clan, but this must be done very carefully as it is a forbidden subject, and can draw the enmity of all the other clans, being that so, training manuals or simply sifus of the styles I intend to learn would be things I want the most, having training manuals for Dragon Palms for instance, or some other Style of my clan taking precedence.

Really sorry about this, I'll get this game moving this week. Dunno why been having a bit a lack of inspiration for that game lately. I don't plan to abandon it but give me a little bit.
