[Weapons of the Gods] Wisdom of the Wulin Sage

Well I hope that we will start by the end of next week but I know at least one person who is interested but need a little more time.

Going through some of the lores, Filial Piety drew my attention, my question is would this apply even if Xiang-Long's parents are dead? I imagine him doing a prayer every day to honor his parents and uncle, as thanks for the knowledge given to him and the legacy he inherited.

Also, with Great Secrets of Kung Fu, trying to avenge his parents and uncle's murder, by bringing to justice those that exterminated his clan, would that apply as performing Deeds in the Xiao virtue to uncover the secrets of the Heaven Clan?

Lastly, what would I have to spend to get one or two kung fu manuals of common styles, no techniques just the manual, something that could facilitate my learning of the styles in game?

Good questions. I think the praying thing we be good for purely sentimental reasons. It sticks to the Asian theme of the game and reflects how respectable their culture is, even in the toughest of times.

Lord-Leafar: weird, I didn't see an update pop up for earlier but anyway let see: Praying to dead parents/ancestors is actual central theme of Ancient China, respecting the ancestors is important and family even the dead ones.

Great Secrets of Kung Fu Xia, Poetic justice/revenge is indeed a qualifying deed. Kung Fu manuals for common styles are listed at level 4 treasures but those are the ones with techniques, but if you literally just want the lore of it, without techniques, I would say 2 destiny point each. You will need to find a master to learn the techniques later on but at least, you won't have to start from scratch which could take a significant downtime.

Ok, I think I'm done with my character, if you could go ahead and give it a final revision, let me know if I'm missing anything or if I should change some error or whatever.

I was wondering, since it will be about a week until the other players come up with their characters, I was wondering if we could run a small practice duel to get ourselves used to the rules and mechanics, just a stand alone warm up match with no relation to the plot, what do you think?

Yeah, I'd like to join in with that if it were possible

We could do the bit our characters meet up. That is crucial seeing as their paths are completely unrelated.

I've worked out Chi I just need to know which style Gold Chi is :D and how much Chi I need for each level

Gold chi let see:

Golden temple Bells, Mental Summons, Music of War, Thousand Scythe Kick and the others are uncommon and rare styles. Well actually Xi has a Gold style. Wind Sweeps cloud in uncommon style.

Can you use most techniques both in defense and attack? or are they limited to one kind of action? Also, while dodging, you don't get bonuses from any kind other than kung fu techniques right?

Also, how do the warrior's skill to use dodge works?
