Realistic or Modern Washington High School: Student Chronicles

"You know, like a sub? Sandwich with cold cuts and veggies on it? Subway? Five dollar foot long?" Zori asked Syo, giving her an amused look.

"Just friends?" Nami repeated, a small frown on her face. "Oh phooey."

''Ohh, okay.'' Syo blinked, obviously this was her first time hearing this term. She shook her head. ''Nahh, I'm fine with this'', she replied, holding up her sandwich.

"Yeah, why?" Regan asked the girl, slightly confused. She took a couple bites out of her sandwich.

Zori shrugged. "Hey, you're happy with what you're happy with. No judging here from me." He said, chuckling.

Nami shrugged. "No reason really. Just thought you were. Too bad." She said, sending her a grin.

Regan remembered that Zori's arm was around her so she figured that must have been the reason why Nami thought they were dating. She smiled then shook her head, finishing up her hoagie.

Zori glanced back over at Regan before catching the smirk on Nami's face.

"Nami, whatever you said to Regan- leave it." He said, his voice holding a slight warning. He glanced at Regan before turning away with a blush. "Nami is always trying to start something..."

He glanced over at Syo and chuckled. "That it is. Though I've slept in all of my classes so far."

Regan chuckled slightly at Zori. "It's fine. She was just asking a question." She wiped her hands off then thanked Zori's friends for the food.

"No problem señorita." One of the basketball players said to her. "A friend of Zori's is a friend of mine."

"Shut up Ezekiel." Nami said, rolling her eyes. "You say that like you bought the hoagie."

The guy laughed. "I can pretend to if I want!"

Regan laughed then glanced over at Zori. "Hopefully that hoagie was enough for you, knowing how much you could eat" she said with a smirk.

Zori shook his head. "Nah but I'll wait till I head home to eat some more. The rents won't be home."

Alex smiles, "great, you ready to go? " he takes her hand into his, and squeezes gentl. He leads her toward the parking lot, "you want anything special?"

Solana blushes brightly when he takes her hand but does not pull away. She shakes her head, letting him guide her back to his car.

"No, I don't have any preference." She says softly, glancing up at him.

Alex nods, walking toward their car. He unlocks the car and gets in, its rather warm inside, he sighs as he starts his car and turns on the AC.

Solana climbed into the car, snuggling up to to the seat and sighing. She loved the heat but didn't complain when he turned the air on.

Alex put his car in geer and backed out of the parking spot before driving toward A small cafe that was beside a hogie store. He looks to Solana and smiles gently, "so, you know you're beautiful right?"

Regan smiled then listened as the athletes talked amongst themselves, about upcoming games and practices. Regan didn't say anything since she wasn't even sure what to say, but she did listen and laughed whenever someone said something funny.

Solana glanced over at him and blushed, sending him a small smile. "I... I guess? I don't know. What's with the sweet Alex today?" She asked.

Zori enjoyed talking to his friends. It'd been a while since he'd really sat down and talked to them since he'd been with Regan. He wasn't sure if Regan would be okay with sitting over here but by the way she laughed it seemed to him as though she was. He'd be sure to ask her later.

Alex chuckled as he turned a right onto a main street, "I'm always sweet, I just never said anything sweet cause I wasn't sure if you felt the same way as I do." He blushes softly and smiles, not taking his eyes off the road

"I'll be right back" Regan said before she got up. She grabbed her bag and went to her locker to switch out her books so she didn't have to do it after lunch. Then she went to the bathroom.

"And what makes you think you know how I feel now?" Solana found herself teasing him. She was surprised she'd said that but couldn't help the laugh that escaped her lips.

"Alright." Zori said, looking over at her.

Alex blushes strongly, "cause why else would you look at me like that." He smiles, her eyes had atendancy to brighten and sparkle when he looks down at her, or how her heart beat quickens when he hugs her or gets close to kissing her.

Solana blushed, turning away from him. A small smile came to her face as she covered her mouth so he wouldn't see it in the reflection.

"Shut up Alex." She mumbled, though not truly meaning it.

Alex snickered, pulling into the italian Cafe. He could hear her tone, she was smiling. He stops his car, and looks her in the eyes, his dark blue eyes sparkling with passion.

Several minutes later, Regan came back and sat back down in the seat she was in before. "What'd I miss?" she asked with a smile.
