PLOT.
Years have passed since the outbreak, civilization as we all know it has decreased drastically and the only ones left are those that try to keep their sanity in a world of the undead. Civilization, as the world has come to know it, has collapsed. It all happened in the laboratory facility of Nexium, they are a corporation of highly intelligent and not to mention power-hungry scientists and businessmen who have come together to change the world of pharmaceuticals and other chemical productions around the world. Nexium Corporations started out as pharmaceuticals, but then they got a taste of power and soon after, they were participating, influencing, and creating illegal activities all around. Those that work for Nexium Corporations keep to themselves and are under a tight contract; one false move and they're history. They have many facilities around the globe, but where it all started had to be in a city whose population is almost that of New York City, Claxton. The city of Claxton is where the main facility lay. They test many biohazardous chemicals and machinery in there; coming up with new mutations and even finding cures to the world's most questionable and unsolvable diseases. They are a corporation that is highly sought after, whether for good or evil, and they don't think too much about the consequences that may take place, just as long as they get something out of it.
Several years ago, a small town just on the coast of Maine had a few of their inhabitants sick from a cold, or so they thought. The health officials contained the city, though Nexium Corporations took over, and that was the last that anyone had heard from the small town. Nexium Corporations took this new discovery back to their main lab and conducted research, and even found ways to manipulate the structure of the virus. They ran tests and it soon became their number one priority, with this new finding, they could create a whole new world; ridding it of the current inhabitants. Creating their own version of the apocalypse. Though what happened next, took everyone by surprise. Nexium Corporations had a date on which they were going to plan to release this virus in the air, though it was released by a freak accident in the lab, which caused the intelligence system in that facility to go haywire; trapping and killing all that came in contact with the virus. When a search and rescue team came to the facility to see what happened, they realized that everyone in the facility was slaughtered, but they didn't stay dead. The virus mutated with the dead cells of those that there slaughtered and created monsters that only had one thing in mind, flesh.
And that is where the story begins, after the search and rescue team came, they too became part of the undead; as there were too many for them to fight off. The city soon became infected and it was only a matter of minutes, no, seconds, for the city to be infected and then the rest of the world. Some people survived for as long as they could, others fought to their last breath, and the rest became part of the undead. Major companies that made deals with the devil such as Nexium Corporations still thrived on the weak and continue to recreate the outbreak in testing facilities that they have created.
However, just outside of the city is a group called The Resistance, which has been around for centuries. What and who they are is a mystery, though they are a very skilled force made of tactic teams, engineers, scientists, and much more. Only a select few have learned the location of The Resistance, and finding their location is like finding a needle in the hay. They've been in the shadows watching closely and rarely show themselves. Some say they work for the government, while others say they are a secret society. Which is it, only time can tell, though in a world where the government has plunged to the ground, who's to say that they work for anyone anymore; perhaps the greater good or maybe they believe there is still an ounce of humanity still left to be saved. Even though the Nexium Corporation is growing in size by making clones of blood samples that they managed to save from test subjects before the outbreak happened, The Resistance is now a small force but a strong one at that. Any survivors they find, they aid back to health and in return for getting that survivor their strength back, they make them join the team. The Resistance built most of their entire facility underground; kind of like what Nexium did. The Resistance has tunnels and secret entrances running for miles, some of those entrances no longer being of use after the accident. They continue to train, research, and eliminate as much of the dead as they can, though they have received small intel, that there is talk of an anti-virus circulating around. Where the location of said anti-virus is, is hard to say.
Both sides want the anti-virus for different reasons; The Resistance wants to create a huge cleansing by releasing the anti-virus and letting it be airborne. While Nexium Corporation wants the anti-virus to finish the mutations that were disrupted due to the outbreak since they learned that they could get the anti-virus to form a mutation by re-arranging its molecular structure. Though The Resistance is already on the move in locating the anti-virus and finding a way to get it before Nexium Corporation takes it back, it's just a matter of time before Nexium realizes that.
The fight is on, though who will win in the war of the century?
Introduction/Rules.
You guessed it, this is a Zombie Apocolypse RP!! I have never done one before, so please bear with me as we go on this journey.
Our story takes place just outside the city where the outbreak had taken place the first time, Claxton City. It's the home of the virus, The Resistance, and Nexium Corporations. This RP is a spinoff from my favorite movie series, Resident Evil. Though you don't have to have watched the movies or played games since I think I gave a pretty good description of the plot and hope to further it as we go along!
This is where you all come in, you can either join The Resistance in fighting to restore what little left of the world there is, or you can join Nexium Corporations in finishing the job that they have started. I hope to make this a slice of life kind of RP, but a bit controlled where we are all working towards one goal, getting that Anti-virus! So with that said, I want there to be drama, betrayal (maybe someone on the inside is a traitor?), romance and etc. Basically, anything you can think of.
I will be making a discord once I have a good amount of people who want to join!

The Zombies -- At first they started off quite fast due to the amount of human flesh they had been consuming when the outbreak happened, but now, if they haven't tasted human flesh for quite some time, then they become slow in a way...weak.
To become a zombie, a person had to either been bitten, come in close range with the virus and drank/ate something that was contaminated. The process of turning takes about 24 hours or less, depending on the significance of the bite and how many times the person was bitten. One bite means 24 hours to live and two bites mean that the person has less than 24 hours; maybe even 6-12 hours left. They will soon begin to experience a high fever, change in color complexion, the body becomes weak that they can't move around well enough, vomiting and shortness of breathe.
