Fantasy Unnatural Academy

"He's just trying to use you in order to keep his follower's nose clean. You realize this, right? He's probably going to make you do something illegal, and if you get caught, he's going to make sure that he isn't connected to you in any way." I sighed softly and began walking back toward campus. "That's just the most likely scenario for this, this doesn't have anything to do about age or fear."

Osto was very confused by Jessie's reaction. He kept walking with her. He still needed to know more about human social life. He flexed his jaw, and asked Jessie another question. "Jessie," he began, "how do I open a conversation with someone?"

Jessy blinked and glanced to hm " Well really wjt you just did was perfect, Make them laugh, introduce yourself or just complement them....but for guys they usually just say hi " she led him to an empty classroom whose door was open, sitting down on the teachers desk she glanced around " I guess this will do "

Osto nodded, and pulled up the chair behind the desk, sitting down. "Okay," he said, turning to Jessie, "how do I with the conversation? Do I ask a person questions, tell jokes, what?" He had placed both his hands on the desk. He was feeling a bit hot, and had seen how Jessie had tied her jacket around her waist. He unzipped his jacket, but didn't take it off, just exposing his bare chest.

"Hey!" Came a voice, before Mikkish appeared in the doorway. He looked around the classroom.

"So you guys are just...hanging out here?" He looked at Osto "I met this guy who wants to help get that bone mage out. Maybe you know something about these Stardust people?"

Osto bit his lip. He thought it over, then shook his head. "I don't know anything about Stardust, but it sounds familar. However," he continued, turning to Mikkish, "You could talk to Amelia about it. She mentioned it to me earlier. I have more important things to do right now. "

Osto turned back to Jessie. "Could you answer my question? About how to continue?" He still had his chest exposed. He was still hot, and just gave in, pushing his jacket off completely, revealing his pale abs and chest.

I had followed Mikkish, wanting to warn the other boy from joining him in this ill advised scheme. Thankfully, he seemed more preoccupied with something else and just blew Mikkish off. "Whew... thank goodness... trust me, this would've ended horribly, like jail horribly." I had poked my head into classroom and then noticed that his naked torso was exposed. "...Uh... sorry, I'll just be leaving." My face had gone red, and then I made a quick retreat.

"Pfft." Mikkish said, forgetting about the bone mage and the Children of Stardust. He took Osto's display of his abs as a challenge.

Mikkish undid his shirt, and lifted the tanktop he had underneath, revealing his own six pack abs.

"Check those out." He said to Jessy, pointing at his abs, and giving a big grin

Osto frowned, and asked Mikkish a question. "Why did you do that? Are you hot as well?" He turned to Jessie. "Are you hot Jessie?"

Jessy blinked glancing from Otso to Mikkish a dark red hue began to spread across her cheeks connecting on the bridge of her nose she clenched her fists together and folded her arms up so neither of them would see her shaking but her voice wavered as she spoke " Could you please put your shirts back on " she bit her lip and made a move to scoot away from booth of them feeling trapped between a rock and a hard place, or in her case a wall and two guys exposing their abs

Osto felt hot, but he decided to oblige Jessie. He put his jacket back on, but didn't zip it up, leaving his chest partially exposed. "Mikkish," he said, "perhaps you should talk to Amelia? I already told you, she mentioned something about the bone mage."

He sensed that Jessie was becoming embarrassed, and felt it might be best to try to end this session. "Jessie," Osto began, "maybe we should proceed to my memories now?"

Amelia watched them leave, and returned to her studies. She opened up a book about the history of Merlinous academy and the island upon which it stood. She found a passage on something called "Stardust" and was reminded of Mikkish's conversation with the strange old man. She wanted to go ask about it, but didn't know where he was. She paced the hallway, had an idea, and left a note for Jessie, reading, "Will be looking for someone. See you later." She walked out of the room, and tried to find him. She walked into a room with an open door, and almost ran face-first into Mikkish's back. She blushed, feeling something rise up within her, somewhere between emberrassment and excitedness. Unable to control her self, she snapped away from it, bringing her vision back into focus. She turned away from the room and ran. She replayed the moment in her head, mind reeling. What was happening? This... strangeness! How did that even happen? She was so absorbed in her own mind that she tripped on the flight of stairs, landing on her elbows, unscathed but slightly sore. She stood up, breathing heavily trying to regain her bearings. Selena! She will know! She tried her hardest to remember where she had left her map. She slowly began to retrace her steps, not knowing that she had dropped it near the classroom in which she had seen the men, but near the top of the stairs.

Jessy at first hadn't heard what he said as her mind was a hurricane of thoughts fear crawled its way all over making her shak she closed her eyes, processing what Otso had said she nodded " Y-ya OK " she looked to him and avoided eye contact she pulled out the two orbs and levitated them in fast circles above her hand till she relaxed and the orbs slowed " Alright I'm ready, but I must warn you...it might hurt, or pinch or be painless...I've never actually gone throughly through someone's mind before "

Mikkish felt someone push him from behind, and turned around in irritation, but saw it was one of the girls from the boat. That must have been Amelia.

"Hey!" Mikkis said, jogging after Amelia.

"You okay?" Mikkish asked when he got to her, seeing that she fell "Osto said you knew something about the bone mage from earlier. And maybe something about Stardust?" He said, extending his hand to pull her up.

He really actually didn't care about her, and wasn't that fascinated about the bone mage, he just wanted to know whatever she knew so he could maybe find out something he could use to convince Osto to listen to him.

She took his hand before seeing the map on the ground. "Well." she said, confused at how quickly he had followed her. She stood, and told him as she checked the map, "I heard a little bit of what went on between you and that old man. I also heard some talk of their influence in that battle. I want to know why. Which is why I am headed to my councilor." She tugged her sleeves back into their normal positions before beginning to walk. "She managed my schedule for me. She seems like she would know about the politics of the island. Care to come?" she asked.

"Okay. I'm game." Mikkish said "But you should probably do the talking. I kinda didn't make a too good first impression on my counselor. And if we have the same one..."

Mikkish scratched his head. He wondered what other information on the island he could find at this school.

------------

"Back so soon?" The older woman asked in a pleasant tone of voice "So may I first ask why you want to know about the Children of Stardust?"

Osto closed his eyes, and nodded. He needed to know more. "I am sure, Jessie," he told her, opening his eyes. He exhaled, and tried to look into her eyes, but she was avoiding him. He sighed, reached up his hand, and turned her head towards him. His face was serious. "How exactly does this work?" he asked.

Jessy shushed him and opened her mind reaching out to Otso's telepathically she locked him in place, in a sort of trance and rummiged around sorting through memories he knew and one he didn't which was easy since the ones he had forgotten had barriers she would need to take down carefully which would take a while

Once she was done doing that she released him and came back out opening her eyes she gasped, sweat was beggining to form on her forehead, she wasn't a master so going through someone's entire mind and unlocking those memories would be a challenge

" So I've figured out what all you don't remember, but Theve been blocked... And it's going to take a very long time to take them down without hurting you so I'd have to do all of them slowly " Jessy said and wiped sweat off her forehead " But I can do it " she added

Osto's mind did register Jessie's actions. He was feeling some pain. However, he didn't notice. He was lost in thought. He was experincing a memory.

Osto was slammed against the wall. The bricks dragged against him as he was pulled to his feet. A group of men stood before him. Ten. There were ten men. And from what he could tell, they all used fire magic.

"C'mon, brat!" one of the men bellowed. Osto knew he was the leader. He was huge, with a massive beard. He was growing impatient. Fire was surrounding his arm. "Show us some respect! We are fire mages! What are you? Some stupid kid?"

"No," Osto retorted, "I am a bone mage. I won't show you respect. You are all weaklings. Now of tou fight for honour. Only for greed." His face was bloody and buised, but he wasn't. The leader twitched.

"You..." The fire mage leader was enraged. He growled. He swung his fire at Osto. Osto whinced against the heat. He knew this would hurt.

The fire never reached him. Instead, it sizzeled out. An arm flew throught the air, and landed on the pavement. The leader howled in pain. He clutched at his stump of a shoulder. Osto gazed around in amazment. Then he saw thr man in black. His master. A bone sword was covered in blood, hissing.

The fire mages stepped back in shock and fear. "Is that..." one began. He never finished. It took a few seconds, but Osto watched as his master slayed them all, with grace and speed. Well, except for the leader. He was crying in fear. Osto heard him say two words. "Ambrose Black." Then he collapsed.

Osto felt a pair of strong arms lift him up. He buried himself in his master's cloak.

"Nothing ever goes well for you, does it?" Ambrose Black told him.

Osto blinked. He looked up at Jessie. Part of him was stunned. Part of him hurt. But he knew what he should do.

Osto stood up, wrapped both of his arms around Jessie, pressing himself against her. She was still sitting on the teachers desk. His chest was still exposed. He knew she would feel his skin. He buried his face in her neck. He felt a single tear slide down, and rest on her skin. "I remember his name," he told her, "thanks to you." He lifted his head, and looked her into her eyes. He still had his arms around her. "Thank you," he said. He placed his forehead on hers. She was sweating.

What he did next caught him by surprise. He didn't know why he did it. Maybe it was sheer joy. Maybe it was because he wished to thank Jessie. He didn't know.

Osto leaned in, raised a hand the back of her head, cupped her cheek with his other hand, and planted his lips on Jessie's, embracing her in a deep kiss.

After escaping from that... interesting situation. I had decided to explore the school on my own. Peeking into some classrooms, they seemed relatively normal, what you would expect in any school. But... one caught me completely by surprise. Inside of it, there were a few large cauldrons inside, lining the back wall were what seemed to be forges. "What the...?" I walked inside and looked around. Sitting across the table in front of the class were several items, potions, trinkets, clothing, weapons... and I think... bombs and poisons. My curiosity got the best of me and I walked to the table and looked at the items in closer detail. I picked up a dagger near the end of the table and examined it. It had a rather beautiful and intricate design of intersecting lines and swirls, the blade was practically shining. I swung it slightly... and a trail of fire was left in its wake in the air. "ACK!" It was unexpected, and in my surprise, I dropped the dagger onto the table... and toward the clothing.

I bolted toward the sinks off to the side immediately, filling up a glass of water and bolting back to the table... only to find that not only did the dagger not even cut the clothing on the table, but it hadn't set it aflame. I was certain it would happen, the blade was emitting flames and the way it was falling, it was sure to stab the clothing and into the table beneath it. "H-Huh?" I gingerly picked up the dagger and set it back to where it was before and picked up the shirt... it was certainly cloth... but it did feel... tougher. "This is... amazing." I muttered.

Jessy had been to distracted with talking to Otso and she didn't notice him get up but by the time she was going to say sowmthng about him hugging her their lips where together and she froze, this was her first kiss and she was shaking...this is exactly was she said she would never do, but his warm skin pressed against her...she could feel the muscles in his chest strong and firm, and in his arms as they gently held her held

Suddenly a wave of emotion flooded through her that she had no control over and she hesitantly parted her lips and kissed back her hands slowly coming up and wraping around his neck, a warm tingle of intoxicating electricity spread from every point where they where touching...and she loved the feeling...

Amelia smiled and stepped into the office for the second time that day. "I saw an old man speaking with one of the students. I heard something about a bone mage in prison, and getting him out, and mentioned the name 'stardust.' They also mentioned something about either the cosmos or cosmetics." She thought back to the school bus battle, and remembered having heard something about them then as well. She described the man with detail, as best as her memory could serve her. "I studied a little, wanting to know more." she said as she hefted the book onto the table. "But the book I read really didn't say much. I was hoping you might know a little more? Maybe something about the bone mage as well?" She asked, deliberately putting her hope into her voice.

Osto felt sparks fly as Jessie kissed him back. He gently ran his hand down to small of her back, and unconsciously slipped under her shirt, rubbing her tender skin. He leaned against her, returning her kisses. He parted his lips, and his tongue tasted the softness of hers. He was taking it slow, and one of his hands went down from her face, ghosting down her chest. He untied her jacket, and spread it on the desk. Osto loved this feeling.

Osto lifted Jessie up carefully, parting from her briefly. He then set her back down the desk, as he climbed onto it. He laid her down gently, never breaking the kiss. He grew bolder, and his tongue grazed past Jessie's teeth and into her mouth. He leaned himself down onto her, being careful not to harm Jessie. He rubbed the back of her neck, and undid her pony tail. His hand ran through her soft hair, while the other rested on the soft skin of her back, causing a tingling feeling as they touched, making small circles on her skin. He shed his jacket, leaving his upper body exposed for her to see. Osto loved her. Osto loved Jessie.

He trailed his mouth along her cheek to her ear, and whispered into it. "I love you Jessie." Then he kissed her passionately.

Mikkish was mildly surprised that she referred to him as "a student" and didn't just blatantly drop his name. He actually half expected her to flat out rat him out and he was prepared to lie his way out of the mess it might make.

"The Children of Stardust believe that spiritual truth can be gained through observation of the cosmos. That's the first thing they will tell anyone looking for information on them. As for getting a bone mage out of jail, well there's corruption all over this island, with the Stardust Children and the Brotherhood of Baphomet. They have what they call 'inside men' in legal and in the government, and use their influence in the system for their group's benefit. Christian Mages have 'inside men' too, but not as many. Anyway, you could learn more about Stardust from the book "Crosses, Goatmen, and Stardust." It was written by a neutral party, and contains unbiased information." She remained pleasant and smiling as she said this "Is there anything else?"

Mikkish remembered he had a pamphlet on the children of stardust, which they could have consulted instead of going to this counselor and then to the library for some book. All he wanted was some kind of leverage he could use to entice Osto to join in breaking out the other bone mage, and it was turning into a long day.

"Thank you Selena." Amelia said, fighting hard to keep the disappointment out of her voice. Selena had given her valuable information. She turned to leave the office, and started the journey to the library. As soon as she was out of earshot, she rounded on him and demanded, "Are you really going to try this? This... this insanity? Why would you bother to break out a man who was clearly in the wrong?" She didn't understand people, and needed to know his motives before she chose to report him or not. She had considered telling her councilor flat out, but felt strangely that it would not be wise. She got up close and personal, her delicate eyebrows furrowing together as she fumed. "And why do you need information about these "Stardust" people when clearly they are of a poor intent?"
