Fantasy Unnatural Academy

Jessy stood up and waved her hand shaking her head " No no its fine " she glanced and saw another guy coming at their little group and she ducked, twirled and and popped up right next to the guy landing two quick jabs to his jaw and then lunging around behind him kicking him forwards and back off the bus

Amelia had been at the top of the boat. She had climbed one of the masts, and was hanging from it, mentally cheering as the wind rushed by, whipping through her hair. Letting out a laugh, she enjoyed both the thrill of the adrenaline and the piercing view of all that occurred beneath her. Picking out the pair of three, she watched, bemused, as the man vomited, and the other near him came to speak with him. That poor soul. I wonder if I might be able to heal him. She thought to herself. She saw the glint of glass, and her gaze swept to the rear of the boat, where a boy sat on a computer. She saw him mouth something, but couldn’t quite comprehend the words. She watched as he was approached, and then returned her gaze to the two from earlier, now joined by a girl, whom she recognized as an introvert.

She smiled and turned her vision back to the front of the boat. She was shocked to see the island seemingly explode into her sight, and the shock of it made her lose her grip. Clutching wildly at the pole to no avail, she fell gracelessly, landing in a crumpled heap beside the three whom she had been watching. “Uggghhh,” she moaned as she regained her bearings. She stretched herself from her defensive position, feeling a throbbing pain in her left wrist and knee. Opening her eyes, she looked up at the people, and sighed. Putting her hands together, she probed the damage, finding it to be a sprain, and began to reach for the healing magic which she had come to know throughout her life. A slight glowing corona appeared around her hands, as the wrist began to click back into place. She slid a needle from her hiding place, and pressed it into the joint between the thumbs, correcting the Chi flow and removing the soreness. She began to repeat the process on her leg, though with several more needles. Eventually, having cured the thankfully minor damage from the fall, she turned upwards again and attempted to recall the lessons which Chirin had taught her on how to talk to people. Her hunt having failed, and being winded from her fall, she attempted a weak smile and said, “Um… hi…”

She watched as everyone filed onto the bus, and followed suit. She enjoyed the ride. Other than the boat, she had never been in anything faster than her own running speed. She felt the jolt of the bus shock her out of her stupor. She watched the fight beginning to unfold, before slowly standing and walking to join the combatants. She bowed before stating clearly but softly, "State the purpose of your fight. Mine is to prevent the unnecessary harm of others. One of the men came at her with an attack, but stepping to the side only the slightest, let him pass by. At the last possible moment, she turned and pressed two fingers into his back, feeling his nervous system and the flow of energy. She turned her fingers like a key opening a lock, and bent the flow. The man let out a gasp as his body locked up. His momentum carried him forwards, and with no means of preventing it, he fell and broke his nose. He rolled and fell off of the bus, an enemy easily defeated. She surveyed the other warriors with an uncanny calm, analyzing their moves and techniques. "Hello, how are you... no wait, were those the right words? I can never remember with people." She said kindly to Jessy. "I am waiting for an answer, you dishonorable curs." she said to the offenders. "Please, at least dignify me with a proper human response."

Mikkish either ignored Osto, or didn't hear him, as he jumped down from the bus, exactly in between the the two groups, and began swinging his arms and kicks around, even at people who weren't really targeting him. As a matter of fact, one man was beaten to the ground, and as he tried to get up, Mikkish kicked him in the face, and then charged to attack a man who had just beat up five preps at once.

And here is where everything started going downhill, as a man, probably in his late twenties, appeared out of seemingly nowhere. It wasn't clear whos side he was on. Juyst like the group of students on the bus, he seemed to be attacking everyone.

And he was a bone mage.

As he entered the general area where Osto was, his gaze snapped over to Osto and he smiled, his left arm's skin fading away revealing bone, which then morphed into what looked like a huge knife.

Jessy suddenly found herself surrounded by guys who all seemed to be the "preps," and was grabbed by four of them, who then proceeded to pull her away.

Even Joe was now being targeted by a guy with long blonde dreads, who wore a jacket with a huge pentagram on it. He just walked up to Joe and immediately began hitting him with nunchucks.

They were now all being separated, and pulled off into different parts of the brawl.

Jessy growled " Alright now I'm pissed off " she pushed away all her pain to the back of her mind as adrenaline pumped through her veins, she snapped and all four guys where thrown back, even a few extra around her now bck in control of the fight she was in Jessy pulled her jacket off, she was wearing a white spaghetti strap tank top with white lace at the top, she tied her gray jacket around her waist and pulled her hair into a pony tail then glared " Bring it! " she snapped

Not liking the prospect of being taken to a disadvantageous position, namely, in the middle of everyone who was attacking her. She strove towards Jessy, still being pulled away by combat. She took several sidesteps to maintain her position, and then felt the surge of magic push those around her. Dropping into a strong stance, she managed to keep her footing from going too awry. She strode towards the girl, who had been taking off her jacket, and thrust her palm forwards. A shock of white light crackled between them, just before the girls nose began to seal up, to the point that one could no longer see the blood. She scanned the opponents before one came into her immediate field of vision. She swept out his feet, and before he struck the ground, formed two cranes beak strikes, one in the back and front. She looked around once more before asking him, "So... What is the purpose of this fight?" The man spat in her face, and grimacing, she said, "Wrong answer." And once more feeling for the mans chi flow, she twisted, hearing the wrenching noise as her manipulation squeezed and twisted his network. Writhing in pain, she dropped him, where he quaked again before her eyes before smacking his head on the ground and passing out cold. "I can foresee no possible reason for this fight. It does not help me that they are inclined to remain silent." She lost herself in thought before pointing to the others and saying, "Would it be best to reunite ourselves with them? Before they get dragged away?" She prepared for any other enemies to come within range, hoping to knock them out quickly, and without too much physical harm.

A fist slammed into Mikkish' face, but that wasn't enough to bring Mikkish down. His knee exploded upwards and slammed the other guy in the chin.

Mikkish and his opponent unleashed a lightning quick flurry of attacks, like something you would see in DBZ, before dashing away to catch their breath.

Then, suddenly as they were about to go back at it, a glowing red aura appeared around everyone who was fighting, or in the area of the fight. And before anyone could realize what was happening, everyone's body seazed up, anyone on the ground lost all ability to pick themselves up, and everyone standing up suddenly collapsed. None of the fighters, including the students, were able to move.

Then the cars rolled in. they looked like cop cars, but were completely blac and the windows were too tinted to see into.

Cops walked out of the car, and one took out a megaphone "Everyone involved in the fight is under arrest." He called out, looking over at the bus "Unless you are a student."

He then put the megaphone away, and began slapping arm bands on everyone who was away from the bus.

"Damn religious groups can't get over shit." Mikkish heard a cop snarl under his breath, as he walked over to the bus, and tried to determine the brawl instigators from the students.

Amelia turned her head to face the new arrivals. Sighing in relief, she turned and began to walk towards the bus. She saw three pentagrams running, and, moving quickly, intercepted them. With three touches, they all fell. She walked up to one of the police officers, she asked, "Why have these people entered into such a conflict?" she surveyed the battlefield before saying, "I see no reason for it." She quickly glanced over the other students, wondering at their injuries, and giving herself a mental note to heal them once the trip resumed.

Jessy blinked struggling against the binding spell before relaxing, she watched the cops as they began arresting people... She now felt all the pain and weakness since her adrenaline was gone

The binding spell over the bus driver, who mostly just cowered inside the bus during the fight, was lifted, and the cops stood him up and questioned him.

"Who came here on the bus?" One of the officers asked. The bus driver, still in shock, began pointing out who he recognized. Joe, Osto, Jessy, Amelia, and basically everyone else, but he missed Mikkish.

"Hey! I was on the bus too!" Came a voice a little ways from the bus. It was Mikkish.

"No he's not!" Yelled the guy who he was fighting "He's one of the Christian Magi, and he hit me!" He yelled

"No, HE hit ME!" Mikkish retorted.

Their petty argument went on until the bus driver pointed out that Mikkish was, in fact, one of the students. He wasn't arrested, but was still put in cuffs, and the spell wasn't lifted until he was back on the bus.

One of the officers there looked at the two groups of brawlers, and figured he wouldn't get a clear, unbiased answer out of anyone from one of those groups.

"Can you tell me what happened?" He asked Jessy

Jessy sighed and sat up once the spell was off her she held one hand to her head now a migraine she thought for a moment before saying " There where two groups who threw a rock into the bus, tipped it over and began attacking the rical group and us as we tried to stop them...I pretty sure " she added wincing a bit

"I... can't understand why people would fight each other like this. What is the point?" she questioned. She was genuinely confused, and her years of isolation with her master had prevented her from truly learning about what drives people. "They could have gotten hurt, and for what? They also put all of us into the conflict." She took the steps onto the bus, and then, struck by a moment of inspiration, said softly, "Does anyone need healing? Or stress relief? I... I'm a doctor... and an acupuncturist..." She wished that she could better understand people. There were so many things which she didn't know about their habits and their actions. What... motivated people? If she never learned these things, she would be an easy target for certain humans and different warriors. What she did understand though, was that 1) Jessy was feeling pain, 2) Everyone seemed under tension, despite the relaxed atmosphere previously in the tour. 3) She had the perfect tools to help them.

With a little team effort, the cops and some students were able to get the bus up and running again. The rest of the ride was rather uneventful, save for Mikkish demanding that the bus driver explain why he waited so long to say he was a student.

As the bus made its way closer to the school, the buildings got smaller and the streets got less busy. While it remained city-like, it also became more suburban. Most of the buildings were apartments and small shops.

Mikkish saw, off in the distance, what seemed like some kind of mansion. With several different buildings on a green, mowed lawn. Various flower beds decorated the area all around the buildings and a sidewalk leading into what looked like a courtyard. An iron fence went around this pristine building, and a large fountain stood in front.

That's when it hit Mikkish: This was the academy.

And a far cry from the shit, crackhead filled high school he had attended, or the community college he had been kicked out of after a week.

Jessy tried to relax on the rest of the ride there, but her headache kept her from enjoying any of the sights...maybe she go and see them later, if she got the time...exhausted she almost fell asleep when her head jerked when they hit a bump and crashed into the window she gave a little cry of pain and forced herself to stay awake now, having put her jacket back on she pulled the hood over her head

Sighing, Amelia sat down. She saw Jessy smack her head, and stood to help. Appearing by her side, she pulled out her long needles, and preparing for therapy, asked, "Do you need any help?"

Jessy flinched when a girl was suddenly beside her " No...thank you " she said seeing the needles and wincing again " Its just a migraine... I'll get over it " she has had many migraines so she was used to the pain it caused, but it still hurts

Mikkish picked his bag out of the bus when it came to a stop, and it had just now occurred to him to check to ensure everything was there. More specifically, that IT was still there.

What IT? Don't worry about it for right now...

Anyway, as soon as everyone was off, the driver hastily instructed everyone to got immediately to the advisement center for their schedule, room numbers, and keys. He then quickly shut the doors and left, still in shock from earlier events.

In the fight earlier, I had managed to get a number of students away from the fighting, when I had gotten back, a man began beating me with nunchucks. I had just blocked against them. Unlike everyone else there... I hadn't come into my powers. I mean, I knew that I had them, but I hadn't yet awakened them to their full potential. So, unfortunately for me, I had to keep up my defense from the assault, begging the man to stop, that I didn't want to fight anyone. Eventually the onslaught stopped when we were all paralyzed and sent to the ground.

When it was all over, I told the police what I saw and understood about the situation to the best of my ability and my role in it all. I got back on the bus and rubbed my bruised body from where I had been beaten. "I was pretty useless back there." I sighed softly.

Eventually, I got off of the bus, in awe of the school in front of me. "Whoa..." I took a look around, holding my suitcase and archery bag. "This school is amazing." I heard the bus driver's order and nodded, and then went off looking for the Advisement Center.

A couple hours later, Mikkish was getting settled in his room, 302. There were two bunk beds, two desks, a single window, and no bathroom. the restroom was out in the hall, and was to be shared by everyone in that hall. Pain in the ass.

The schedule was the same for all the new people. There was a standard schedule for a students first semester, to get them used to the way the school worked. They were exciting names: Supernatural History and Cultural Studies, Magic Mathematical Application, A lunch period, Soul Studies, Science of the Supernatural World, and then, Sparring.

But Mikkish didn't thinkg about how cool it would be to have mage fights in class. He only dwelled on how the classes started at 7am. Mikkish hated waking up early.

Oh well. Classes didn't start for a few more days, may as well take a look around the city, or get to know some of these college girls. Hopefully, not everyone was a geek like the ones he met on the bus.

Osto growled in frustration. He had seen the other bone mage. Yet, he had failed to engage him. I will find him. he knew that was his goal now. I will find and defeat him.

Right now, though, he was busy getting to his dorm. From what he knew, his room was 302. When he found it, he was only bemused by the lack of a bathroom. However, he now had more time to plan.

Class didn't start for a few days. He could use that time to locate his new enemy. A battle was overdue.

"Mikkish!" Osto said, "I need your help."

He'd just arrived. Max several days ago had gotten a full scholarship to a school called Merlinus Academy, knowing nothing of its establishments, and for what possible reasoning as to his random acceptance. Although he had come up with a few possible explanations for such a random occurrence. On his way here, the sky lit up with a multitude of colors from white, to red, to orange, to black a full on magic massacre was happening right above him, and astonishment was the only emotion that wriggled inside.

Upon docking, Max was greeted by one of the many attendees within the academy, as she'd shown him several features around the school, well as the dorm rooms, where he met several other students in his same predicament. Severing ties with his escort, the dorm room assignments seemed to be in place:

Mikkish, Gerald, Joe, and Osto: Room 302.

Jessy, Amanda, and Daisy: Room 312.

Max: Room 202

"Alone?" Max looked up, as if he were staring at an the invisible all-father known as God. "Thank the Heavens." As he walked off to his room, ready to get fully accustomed.

Jessy didn't even unpack anything but her favorite pillow and blanket before getting into bed curling up, she wanted this headache to go away and knew maybe taking a nap would help at least ease the pain since she couldn't feel it in sleep

I had taken one of the bottom bunks, just storing my suitcase beneath the bed and propping my archery case in a corner of the room. I would be sharing this room with four other people... it'd be a bit cramped, but I didn't mind. I sat down on the bed and flopped down on my back and yawned softly. I finally realized how long of a trip, how long of a day, it had been. Certainly not what I was expecting when I arrived...

Amelia was confused by the girls refusal. She, saddened, moved to the front, where she saw the school rising up before her. She watched the other people entering their own rooms, before looking down at her own key. Room 312 she thought. She walked down the length of the hallway, reading off the door numbers aloud until she found her own. Pressing the key to the door, she walked in and took quick survey of the room. Noting where all of the furniture was, her gaze was drawn to the enormous beds. In awe, she stepped forwards, poking and stroking at the mattress and the blankets. They were amazingly soft. Having slept on a floor mat all of her life, these were almost painful to see. Sitting down gingerly, she marveled at how it was possible for anyone to sleep in these things. She surveyed the room, and finally saw Jessy in her bed. She took a few steps towards her, stretching her hand to cure the pains she could almost see, but drew back at the last moment, remembering the girl's expression on the bus when she had offered to help her. Placing all of her things on the floor, she pulled out the sheet of paper upon which were her classes. Martial Arts of the World, Modern Medicine, Magical Manipulation, Matching Common Society and several electives. Looking over the list of electives, she decided that it would be best to speak with her counselor. On the schedule, she also saw the normal school curriculum, and noted that she would do well to learn them.

She took about an hour just wandering the school, until she found the library. She hunted through the sections like a cougar on the prowl, trying to find the books which would best help her get a head-start on her schoolwork. Eventually, she decided to get several books, primarily the texts required for each class, but also the books she found which could be of a use to her in her learning to better her fighting style. Carrying these to the desk, she slammed them down, drawing the attention of the librarian. She went through the check-out service, fumbling, but eventually figuring out the necessary elements. She quickly asked for directions to her councilor's office. She made her way there, and eventually found it.

The office was made simple but elegant, with efficiency in mind. "Come in." a voice called from beyond the door. Pushing through the doors, she saw a woman with lush brown hair and a tanned face behind a desk. The woman looked up, and, standing, smiled while saying "Welcome, how may I help you?" Searching for words but finding few, Amelia bowed as she used to for her Sensei. "I am Amelia, and I think you're my councilor? I... came here to talk about my schedule." She pulled out said document. "It said that you could help me set up my electives." After being motioned to sit, she did, and her councilor began to speak, asking her questions about her past, her motivation, her hobbies, and her skills. Doing her best to provide her with an answer to these questions, Amelia, dove into her story, trusting that there was a reason her councilor needed to know, but not quite knowing the reason in particular. "All right," her councilor, apparently madam Selena, began. "I think I understand now. So, you came here to talk about electives. First of all, I would take pains to suggest that you take social sciences." Amelia's face began to glow pink, but as she opened her mouth to say something, her councilor waved her hand and moved on. "Secondly, you should be a teachers assistant for the kung fu lessons of Martial Arts. I also suggest The Art of Positive Biological Manipulation. You should consider Yoga or one of our schools sports, perhaps swimming. Advance your science class to a biologic and anthropologic studies." As she spoke, she waved her hands over the parchment, detailing her an improved schedule, one filled with some suggestions for her classes. "Lastly, I need you to make some friends. You are incapable of understanding people, and jokes even less. I cracked six of them all ready and you barely even blinked." She reviewed each subject, giving her reasoning for each, and then added, "You're my type of student. As long as you are busy, you will be able to be positive. If you stop, you're gonna crash, and I don't want to clean up that mess." Amelia stood, understanding that the session was over. "Thank you, Miss Selena." "Ah, just Selena will do," she interjected. "I don't want our meetings to be uncomfortable and stuffy." Walking her to the door, and beyond it into the hallway, they spoke of many things, in which Amelia got to learn more about her councilor. As the pair arrived at her dormitory, Selena smiled and said "If you ever need any help, or have some questions about school, always feel free to visit me." And with that, she walked away, her heels clicking throughout the hallway, leaving Amelia in the silence.

She walked back into her room, seeing Jessy rested, and preparing to rest herself. After, of course, she had begun to study. She placed three of the books on her head, and began to cycle through her martial arts techniques. She did this for a long time, and halfway through, began to read some of the books. After a great time of this, she settled down, fiddling with her acupuncturist needles while she read on human biology. Eventually, after her days of travel, the need to sleep overwhelmed her. Falling asleep on the floor, she let the needle fall out of her hands and between the pages of the book, sleeping blissfully with her cheek against a chart detailing the brain system.

Mikkish looked at Osto. "Help with what?" He asked, thinking it was probably something nerdy, like he needed a study partner, which Mikkish was a bad person to ask. Or maybe this guy grew up sheltered and wanted to party in college, and that was something Mikkish might be happy to help Osto do.

"Hey!" Mikkish said, pointing at Joe and glaring as he set down his archery equipment "You better move that shit. Thats MY corner." Mikkish joked.

"A-Ah, sorry!" I quickly grabbed my archery equipment and stowed it beneath my bed. I was just so used to keeping it in the corner for grabbing it quickly before I left my room for practice.
