Fantasy Unnatural Academy

Osto heard Jessie's cry, and pushed the door open. He didn't really see her at first, but could hear her struggling. He enhanced his bones, and located the source of the sounds. It was a corner under a bed bunk. He walked over to it, and looked down. He could see someone moving, and then realised it was Jessie. He crawled underneath the bunk bed, reaching Jessie. "Jessie?" he asked. "Jessie, are you alright?" He could hear some kind of metal. He still had his ear bones enhanced, and traced down the source of it. He found a rusty spring digging into an open wound on Jessie's skin. His eyes widened. "Jessie, hold still," he told her. He placed a hand on her arm to try to calm her down. "Let me help." He carefully grabbed the spring, and tried to hold Jessie still. Carefully, Osto pulled the spring out, slowly and gently. He didn't want to hurt Jessie. When he finally came out, Osto helped Jessie out from under the bed, and got her standing on her own two feet.

Amelia had cleaned up nicely after yesterday's... incident. She had seen Jessie come in, but had no idea how to comfort her. It was thus that they both fell asleep. She had changed into a more pleasant outfit, because her combat kimono had been rather thoroughly bloodied. She instead wore a white silk kimono with cherries embroidered on. She heard the knock and the squeak from Jessy as she was looking down on the courtyard at the flyer girl. Amelia looked behind her as Osto entered the room. She looked at Jessy with concern, before realizing that this was what some called "A romantic situation." She smiled at Osto, looked back at Jessy, and said the practiced school line of "I'll just leave you two alone." before heading out. She went to the field to talk with the girl, and was stunned to come face to face with a goth, the contrast between their appearances, light and dark, was almost comical. She took a flier, and went to the library to read.

Jessy moved away from him jerking back towards the bed she junoed into her bed and hid in the covers placing her pillows uo in a barrier type way, she whined slightly as she looked to her arm at where the cut used to be she hated having tore up her jacket and would sew it back up once Otso was gone as the nights events from yesterday played through her mind

Osto sat down next to Jessie. He sighed. "Jessie," he began, "we need to talk about yesterday." He placed a hand on the pillows, and lifted them away her. He gulped, and continued speaking. "I'm not sure what came over me yesterday. I just felt....I don't know. What I do know is that we shared a...kiss. My first one, actually. It was unexpected, and even I was caught by surprise. It's just," Osto paused, and placed his hand on Jessie's cheek, gently caressing it. He leaned in close, his mouth next to her ear. "I believe I meant what I told you. I really do. I love you."

Jessy swallowed and closed her eyes pushing further away from him till she couldn't go any further trembling she turned her head away and lightly pushed him away with her feet which at the moment where clod since she slept without any blankets the whole night, only her jacket to keep her warm on the cold floor

She didn't want to hurt him but didn't want him getting close she whimpered smally and said quietly " Please...b-back up...please " this was the first time in years she genuinely felt scared and actually showed it remembering the moment she was told she had no known father and why which had created a deep fear of men in her soul, one of her huge weaknesses...the only emotional situation where she would always tremble and cry--....once that thought came to mind she gave a small gasp and buried her face in a pillow feeling her eyes moisten as she closed up to him like she had done to the world, that's why she started her special magic lessons in the first place...to get her thoughts off being an outcast her entire life since she could start retaining her long-term memory, everything was starting to leek out like a dam about to break...the next thing to happen to her would probably make her crumble and fall apart, she would definitely need someone to help her...but who, she had no friends of family...

Then she thought of Otso and sniffled glancing up she shoved down her fear and lunged forwards, hugging him tightly as she cried... After thinking about it she didn't care as long as she had someone who truly loved her as she was

Osto was caught by surprise when Jessie wrapped her arms around him. She was crying. Osto wasn't sure how to respond at first. Then he gently wrapped his own arms around her, pulling her in close. He began stroking her back, letting his fingers run up and down. "It's okay Jessie," he whispered into her ear. "I'm here. I'll be here for you always." He lifted her face up, and looked deep into her eyes. They were moist, a trail of tears running down her cheeks. "You're cold," he told her. Osto leaned in, and kissed her. He wanted to make her warm. He wanted to help her. He had an idea how. He would love her. He would make her warm.

Jessy was having strange waves of emotion to powerful for her to control, she had never felt like this ever and she was falling under its spell...usually she could control herself, but when his lips connected with hers she didn't feel scared or sad, only a warm fuzzy feeling curled in her stomach and she kissed back, lightly at first but she soon relaxed completely and fell into the kiss

Only breaking away when she opened her eyes and looked up at him, wiping her face she whispered quietly " Thank you, I...i-ive never actually, done...that before, kissed someone I mean...no one ever really cared about me like this...so, thank you for caring "

Osto smiled at Jessie. "To be honest, I have never really kissed anyone either," he told her. He gently caressed Jessie's cheek, and kissed her again. He pulled her in closer, and gently laid her down on the bed. He broke off the kiss, and began stroking her face lightly. He spoke to her again. "I should correct you about something. I don't care about you." He leaned in again, reigniting the kiss. He got the words out while he did it. "I love you, Jessie." Then he deepened the kiss, and crawling on top of her. She still felt cold. Osto ran one of his hands on her legs, while the other ghosted down her chest to her stomach, then up again. He leaned himself down onto her, his warm body pressing against hers. "And I always will."

Jessy blinked when he said he didn't care, and that he loved her...she didn't have time to process what he said before she was laying on the bed and he was on top of her, she blushed hard and her trembling came back she held both hands up to his chest to keep him off of her and she curled her legs up under her she slipped out from under him and stood up, only wearing short shorts, a spaghetti strap tank top, and her jacket she felt a bit exposed and pulled her jacket dow as far as possible then took it off and tied it around her waist

Osto sat up off the bed. "Are you still cold, Jessie?" he asked her. He awaited her response. Then another thought occurred to him. "Why were you under the bunk bed?" He raised a hand to her arm, touching the area where she had hurt herself. "Are you alright?"

Alyn Smith

((I will change anything which @TheAdept requests to be changed. Sorry for this being so long and expect many edits as I wrote part of this when I was very tired.))

Alyn was bored. He was not a man who should be kept in a single spot for to long. It never ended well.

"This is fustrating as hell! Why can't this boat go faster! We have magic for go-, we have magic. Oh I've been so dumb"

After facepaming he began to alter the air currents surrounding the boat. His plan was to speed it up buy diverting the air in front of the boat and giving it a push from behind, I mean what could go wrong? Well a lot of things: Firstly, he lacked the skill to do such a feat on such a scale and promtly colppsed lossing control and sending a surge of electrical energy into the ocean causing the boats mechanisms to malfunction, it also caused mass evaporation creating a mintire storm and it messed with the water mages current bosting. All of this lead to the boat tipping over but thankfully the previously mentioned water mages where able to perform a quick recovery and get them to a remote deserted island.

Alyn woke up to find two men staring passively at him. "Oi, Bill the idiot is up!" A very short and thin man anouced with a deep scottish accent.

"Whathappened?" Alyn slurred.

"You! You don't remember maliciously destroying my boat!" A different man, likely Bill, said outraged.

"Well, yeah" the potential threat caused his mind to snap back into reailty.

"What! Are you going to say that you zapped the ocean by accident!!"

"Well, uh, yeah." He used some wind to push himself from 'Bill' and get to his feat. He then reilsed that they were on a beach.

"What kind of idiot uses elemental magic by accident!!"

"Well I was trying to speed up the boat with my wind magic but lost control and it went well boom."

The mages blinked, mixing up diffrent types of elemental magic was odd. "Well Sonny you definitely need too go to an academy" Shorty replied.

"Oh and umm where are we?" He let the insult slide, he knew it was ture and he didn't want to bring more attention to his signature magical power.

"An island off the coast of Oregon." Man number 3 informed. He had no nickname able features. "I call him 3 then"

"So umm what are we doing?"

"Waiting" 3 remaind stotic.

"For what?"

"For the repairs to be made." He turned his short black haired head, to allow his black eyes pierce into Alyn's also black eyes.

"How long?"

"I am unaware of the answer to that inquiry."

"Great." Alyn muttered. He looked around seeing that this island was completely sand, there wasn't even a plam tree. "Oh I can think of this as a early holiday, I mean it's still better then anyone I have been on"

"So got anything that we could do?"

"We would if you didn't zap the boat! Err! We offer our spare time to get you to the dam island and you break my boat!! Dam late arrival!!!" 'Joe' was going on a rant.

"Well you see a cyclopse declared undy-"

"Oh shut up with your excuses!"

"Fine! Just wanted to pass the time!"

"Oh I know what could pass the time!!"

A wave of icy water was being aimed at Alyn who used a gust of wind to deflect it. Before he could retaliate another wave was sent at him. He used a gust to push himself over 'Bill', turing in mid air, placing a hand on his head and sending a gust, aimed by his other flat hand, to his opponents neck. All in one movement.

The result was Bill being knocked away unconscious.

"Why dose that lad have to fight everyone he has had a small argument with?" Shorty questioned, unfazed by the acts of violence.

"Beats me" Alyn replied with a shrug "though that did pass the time, maybe we could spare?"

"Sonny I am not good at magical combat at all. Hmmmm, I could show you some control tricks so you don't mess up like you did before."

"I guess."

"Alrighty, so elemental magic is like trying to control a mad hen, and the only way to control that mad hen is to kill it, but if you kill it you have no way to use it's power, therefore you must try to tame it, not control it."

"That's interesting and all, but what has that actually got to do with elemental magic?"

"Stop stopping me if you want lessons."

"Okay."

"Now imagine that mad hen is running around in your mind."

"Urrr okaaaay." His mind's hen was completely silver and flew around using air going in no recognisable pattern.

"Now lad think of your favourite food"

"Chocolate." "This guy better not be messing with me"

"Good choice lad," Shorty said with a smile growing a tad more found of his temporary student "now imagine that your hen's favourite food is chocolate as well."

After a minute of silence Alyn became irritated "Nothing is happening!"

"Tell your hen that if it dose something it will get chocolate"

"Fine." "Ummm, Push over Bill." Alyn unconsciously raised an arm and 'Bill' was pushed over, his clothes not riped by the air (a personal achievement for Alyn).

"Well done sonny!"

"Eh? it worked?" His mind was focused completely on the chicken.

"Yes just keep particing that! Maybe with some different animals. Oh and try train it as well."

"We need one of you lazy mages!" A gruff voice of a dwarve shouted.

"Oh don't get your beard twisted! I will be there now." He got up and walked to the being repaired boat.

"Bye"

"See ya sonny"

Alyn turned to look at 3 "Sooo, you interested in doing anything?"

"If you insist."

"Sparing?"

"You will fall if we engage in ture combat"

"You mean die? Because I am lot stronger then you may think."

"You do not know my strength."

"Show me." he said almost laughing at 3's attempt to intimidate him. He then felt a knife being pressed to his neck.

"You understand now, your pathetic in comparison to me." 3 hissed from behind Alyn. A telepathic spell was sent to Alyn forcing him into a dream and further messing with his already messed up memory.

Jolting up and forgetting all about his dream and 3, Alyn yawned realissing he fell asleep somehow. He got up and decided to help the crew fix the boat.

After the fixing of the boat the rest of the trip passed away with no events of interest. Alyn was just semi-consciously walking around the deck. The other part of him was focusing on his mind animal.

Then he saw the island. He was impressed by the size of it, and how it suddenly poped in size reliving an almost endless beach.

By now it was midnight, Alyn got off the ship said his farewell to the crew started to walk to the bus stop.

BoooomThe boat was experiencecing minor techical difficulties and Alyn decicided it was best to wind run and not face the wrath of the ship's crew.

Panting he stoped at a bar named Rose and Bella, bars where great places to gather information, often incorrect but it still it was information.

It was dark, not enough that you couldn't see but enough to make the world look black and white. As he walked, he almost expected someone to jump him with a knife. He sat on a bar stool and ordered a glass of apple juice, he shurred at the memory of first time trying a alcoholic drink, it was awful.

"So why is it so dark here Grace?"

"We say it sets the mood, but really we just can't afford it" Grace replied showing her fatigue and somewhat blood-shot eyes.

"Okay, so I am new here, so is there anything I need to know?"

"Well there are twee maniac religious groups, The Brotherhood of something and the Chicken Magi and one sain one The Children of Sawdust! We say that we should be aligned with the mars 'cause like it is amazing and shit, you should join!" she was definitely drunk.

"Dam stainic hooligans! They ruined everything!! Everything!!" A poshly dressed man shouted.

"Calm down Alexander, that riot was pointless anyway." The man's drinking buddy replied.

"But, but the hooligans killed Zoey!"

"Zoey was a stainist, you shame us by being bewitched by her."

"Don't lie! I could never fall in love with someone who was in the Devil's court!

"At least the devil is real! Dam Christian Magi! Being all fancy an-" the only other person in the bar was cut off.

"I am going purge this satanic filth Alex" (Alexander had passed out because of an overdose of alcohol).

Alyn disappeared out of sight and unsealed the outfit of Storm and reparpered with his hands on the back of the two cultists necks.

"Ladies calm down. Now tell poor old me why you are fighting, that is if you want to live" Storm's voice was frightening, it was a mix of fake naive innocents and a sadistic pleasure.

"Why would we tell you any-" The Posh one crumpled under the electricity of Storm.

"You don't want to be ended like your friend there do you?"

"You didn't kill him weakling, I wouldn't tell someone like you anything. Your pathetic, go on 'kill' me". He said with a smug smirk.

The man's eyes rolled up and his voice was bathed in seas of demonic influence.

"Kill him. Go on, do it! Do it! Do it now! Storm End Him Now! Take a life, and feel the soul slip away into lowest domain! Do it or I will get sweet Emily to babysit you again. The one who raised you just to be used as a tool. Rember you will never be more then a tool of an insignificant cult."

With a mix of disguest, fear and loathing he cut the posesed man's life short in a deafening crackle of electricity. He was horrified, he did the only thing he knew he could. He ran to the shadows.

He ran on to the nearby academy, not looking back, not thinking, just running. He reviled himself as Alyn at it's gates and everything that followed was a blur. He found out about his dourm room, was questioned about his chosen time arrive her and ect. He just wanted to rest.

Reaching his personal room he closed the door and jumped on the bed devouring his stash of mind numbing remedies for a dreamless sleep.

((Why is character a mix match of everyone else's! Why did Amy killed someone as well! Sorry I don't do it on purpose.

Btw any NPC I have made is usable by anyone in anyway (I have felixable plans for them), it ties stuff together more. But obviously keep their personality.))

I sigh heavily glancing around noticing alot of people still hung outside to see the 'pretty lady' giving out flyers. Oh well may as well hang out with my room maybe my roommates will actually be awake. I make my way to the room fishing my key out of my pocket opening the door....only to find two about to have a few rounds. "...." I glance towards Jessy and Osto with an agitated scowl. "At least do it in his room godamn it's not even the first day of school." I roll my eyes walking over to my bed jumping down and pulling out a magazine. I wait a moment before peeking back over it. "Oh yeah feel free to continue." I say with a sneer sitting there as I read.

Wednesday

Alyn was a mess. Despite being a early raiser he was one the last people in the school out of bed. Sluggishly he changed into a white t-shirt and blue jeans, he would unpack later, then he trudged out of his room, his stomach demanding food.

He noticed the commotion in the courtyard and became slightly more awake. He got a flyer from the Gothic Women and remembered the 'Christian Magi' from last night and was intrigued, though the Blond all-black was too crowed to approach.

He turned slamming right into Mikish. "Oh sorry, Wait would you mind telling me what you know about the Christian Magi?"

Osto blinked. He hadn't noticed the other girl. "Forgive me," he muttered. He turned back to Jessie. "We should talk later," he said. He reached into his pocket, and pulled out his pamphlet, handing it to her. "Later," he told her, and left the room. Of course, he was trying to think about how he should proceed. This was his first relationship, and he felt completely inexperienced. He had an idea about who he should ask for help though.

He walked back down to the courtyard. He needed to find Mikkish.

Roth possessed a rather dull expression as he gazed upon the two officers or agents standing before him. Roth sat in a chair at a steel table, the room they occupied was an interrogation room. The man closer to the table slammed his palms upon its surface. Proceeding to speak rather loudly. “-Saying you're on thin-ice would be a horrific understatement....” Roth didn't even flinch due to the mans actions, neither did he speak as a moment of silence took over. Only to be broken by the man's voice once again. “That means, if that ice is broken, I'll make sure I'm the one who personally apprehends you...... Do I make myself clear?”

A few moments of silence passed before Roth finally spoke. Roth's tone was quiet, though despite that factor he was heard. “I am no fool, why disrupt your 'witness protection'. The very same protection I asked to be placed under to begin with.....” Roth stared at the man unenthusiastically. “Then someone outside will escort you to your “new home”. Any final questions?” Without a word, Roth followed suit and traveled to the Merlinus campus grounds.

Roth already obtained his key and checked in with superiors when he arrived to campus. Currently his direction was not known to himself, he was merely wandering about the campus and strongly debating on exploring the city. Roth had already transported his things, a mere backpack, to his dorm-room. A small map of the campus stuck out of his left pants pocket. As always his steel rod which was considered his “weapon of choice” was resting inside his left pants pocket. The pocket which it resided, would typically be occupied with a tool of sorts, since he was wearing workers jeans, not ordinary/formal jeans.

Onlookers would see a rather monotonous young man. The fact Roth was simply wandering around may or may not have been so noticeable, as he held no real direction. Mostly he was taking this time to examine his new surroundings, making personal notes about certain pathways or areas of the campus. Not entirely paying attention to anybody he saw, if anybody.

I arrived in front of Mr. Nakashima's room. I walked inside and saw that he had two empty packs sitting on the table. I walked inside and looked around. "Hello, Mr. Nakashiiima?" I called out. He walked out from the back room, shouldering a long katana, in a holster at his hip was a pistol.

"Will you pipe down, I'm right here." He let out an exasperated sigh and walked to the desk.

"A-Ah, so sorry!" I bowed apologetically.

While my face was pointed at the ground, he covered his mouth and held back a laugh and then quickly composed himself before I had stood up straight again. "As you should be. We're going out today to gather. Do you have any weapons?" He crossed his arms.

I nodded, feeling a little nervous... would it really be that dangerous on this island...? "O-Oh yes, my bow and arrow."

"Good, go and grab them and then come back here." He tapped harm impatiently.

"Yes, Mr. Nakashima!" With that, I turned around and ran out of the classroom and to my dorm room as fast as I possibly could.

"Hey, man. Watch it." Mikkish said, in frustration, then looked at the flier he was given "Party tonight at the 7th street church." Mikkish looked around and saw that 7th street was running passed the school campus. He figured he would just walk down that street and look for it. "Hmm, young adults, come and bring your friends. Cool, I just got invited to a party." His tone was sarcastic "Basically exactly what it sounds like, probably. There probably won't even be any booze at this party..." Mikkish looked back over at the blonder goth girl "But I got nothing better to do. I'm going." Mikkish shrugged

Osto spotted Mikkish, and began walking over to him. When he caught up with him, and reached a hand out and grabbed his shoulder. "Mikkish," he said, "I need your advice on something." He took a deep breath, before continuing. "It's about relationships. Have you ever had any in the past?"

"Woah." Mikkish said, as soon as he heard about relationships "I am totally the wrong person to ask about relationships. But they are stupid anyway. Like they say, why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free?"

Once I reached the dorm, I reached out from under the bed and pulled out my archery case. I pulled out my bow and quiver. I strung the bow and then slung the quiver and bow over my shoulder and ran back down to the classroom. "I'm back."

Mr. Nakashima glanced at my weapon. "Well, let's see what you have." He gestured for me to show him my equipment. I set my bow and quiver on the desk and took a step back, shifting nervously as he began inspecting them. "Wood tipped arrows... and the bow's kind of cheap... the bow'll be fine, it'll serve its purpose, but if we get into any trouble, I doubt that these arrows will be of much use, and if you get into trouble while I'm not close, or run out of arrows, you'll need something other than this bow to defend yourself." He walked into the back room and came walking out with a few items... well... weapons. He set them down on the table. "Take your pick."

"U-Uh... okay." I looked at the weapons spread out on the table before me. A new quiver of arrows, I pulled one out and saw that it had an iron arrowhead attached at the end. I was certain that I was going to have to take these, there wasn't any real choice. I slid the arrow back in and then examined the rest of the weapons. A sword, a dagger, brass knuckles, a hatchet, a mallet, a spear, and a scythe. "U-Uhhh..." I looked at each back and forth. "I-I don't know, I've only ever used a bow..." I clasped my hands in front of me and looked down.

He examined me for a moment and then grabbed the scythe. "We'll try this." He pushed it into my arms.

"U-Uh... alright." I wasn't sure about this... it was rather... large... and intimidating. I had a brief thought in my mind of accidentally slicing my own head off with the scythe.

He noticed the brief flash of fear and doubt in my eyes. "Don't fear it. It's merely a thing. As long as you're not careless, you won't harm yourself with it." He then grabbed the dagger and held it out to me. "And make sure to always have a backup plan."

I nodded hesitantly and then slid the dagger into my back pocket, slipped off my quiver and replaced it with the new one, with actual iron arrowheads. "Uh... why do we need all of these weapons anyway?"

"Well, aside from the religious fanatics running around attacking people they think to be a part of one of their rival groups, there are also criminals with magic, but, I think our main problem will be the island's animals. Due to the amount of magic that is present on this island, it's affected them over the years, they've grown larger, more powerful, and far more aggressive, it doesn't take much for them attack, they may just glance at you and decide to attack." He grabbed a pack, and slung it over his shoulder. "So, shall we get going then?"

I nodded, grabbed my bow, slung it around my shoulder, then doing the same with the pack. "Alright, let's go." I walked outside with Mr. Nakashima.

Osto was dismayed by Mikkish's response. He had been hoping for some advice on what he should do in a relationship. Now, he wasn't sure. Then he remembered something. He hadn't read that pamphlet he had given Jessie. He turned around, looking for that girl again. When he did see her, he walked over and got another one. He read over it. A school dance. Osto smiled. Maybe Jessie would enjoy it. It said it was at 7th street church. He had no idea where 7th street church was. So, he went done 7th street, looking for the church. He had an idea that Jessie would enjoy this. He thought she might, anyway.

As he kept walking, however, he passed by a shop that was selling clothes. Osto wouldn't have gone inside such a place normally, but a thought occurred to him. Osto pushed the door of the shop open, walking inside. He noted several articles of clothing, but one stood out to him. Perfect, he thought. In short order, it was bought and paid for. Osto returned to his room, leaving a shopping bag on his bed. He was sure that this was what men did in a relationship.
