Fantasy Unnatural Academy

Mikhail gave Roy a confused look and just shrugged him off and nodding at Joe as he passed by. He smirked as he walked along with Todd, chuckling softly and his tail swaying slightly behind him. He found the boy's ramblings amusing.

Ren just sat there watching the people around him talk and act wierd.

"What an odd bunch they're deffinetly not what I expected... I thought i'd see all the sudious types here." Ren whispered to himself taking notes. "well no matter to me they're not talking to me... i don't care."

Osto had been watching the interactions of the other people in the classroom, with interest. The wolf boy was certainly a loud and bombastic one. The other new comers, Osto had no idea. He simply decided to wait for the class to get started. He also hoped Jessie had woken up. There was much he wanted to discuss with her.

Todd continued down the hall, pulling a yo-yo out of his pocket and playing with it as he went. If her were shorter and hoisting a baseball bat, he'd be halfway to looking like Ness. Whistling a cheery tune, the pitch slowly turned higher and higher, and then lower and lower, the sound altering to his whim. He seemed oblivious to the goings on around him, and smiled and waved at the people nearby.

Before Roy knew what hit him, the back of Mikkish' hand went across Roy's face. Mikkish' had whacked Roy like a true pimp, and even followed it up with "Shut up, bitch." before continuing on walking. The Maniacles guards, who were supposed to be keeping peace between the students, all snickered among each other, before one looked at Rue and whistled.

"Nice ass" another one said, before they all started talking about "what fine ass bitches these mage girls are."

The rest of the day went on as excitingly as you could expect school to. Even this magic school had lectures, and lectures got no more exciting just because of what the lectures are about.

Mikkish was on his way back to his dorm room when he noticed the TV in the lounging area of the dorms (it was on the first floor, on the way to the staircase.)

"All evidence points to James Garcia, author of of the book "Crosses, Goat Men and Stardust," as one of the primary suspects in the bombing of the prison, releasing thousands of criminals, capable of highly destructive magic, out into the public."

The news broadcast went on to say James was yet to be caught, that it was a mystery where he was, and anyone who had any clues was urged to report to the nearest police station. Otherwise, everyone was urged not to walk about the city streets alone, and to stay indoors, if possible, at night.

I walked out of sparring class and stretched. "Hm... I should probably get to Mr. Nakashima's classroom now..." I muttered, looking around as everyone went off to do their own things. I wandered off to go assist Mr. Nakashima with his alchemy, and learn something new, hopefully. I couldn't wait.

Roy was still annoyed from Mikkish's little... stunt. He'd get his revenge though. He didn't even show pain or anger when he did it... in fact. He had smiled. He gave him a right to retaliate to the fullest extent of his power... of course, he wouldn't do that, not on some pathetic gutter trash that thought he was something. He'd just let him know... he could get at him whenever he wanted... day or night...

I give out a quiet groan of annoyance hearing the guards. I used a bit of my magic to have illusions of a snake or two at their feet to try and frighten them as I go pass them. "You have other things you should worry about. " I mutter at them walking away and sigh heavily as I head to the dorms. I glance at the broadcast with a frown. "Well there goes all the fun. No exploring anymore I suppose."

Mikhail returned a wave to Todd as the boy wandered the hall, seeming to drift off into his own thoughts. The broadcast on the TV caught his attention and he looked at it curiously, ears pointing forward toward it as it warned of the prisoners. When it warned about staying indoors for the night he realized that he had no place to stay, the realization made his ears droop. He turned to make his way out of the school and hope that there was somewhere cheap to stay...or for a decent cardboard box...

Osto was reading books in the library on bone mages. He was finding some rather interesting techniques in these books, along with several famous and notable bone mages. Some of these techniques were basic, such as growing new bones and healing, others, far more complex. One in particular caught his eye. It detailed how a bone mages could fly.

Osto read over it. To achieve this technique, a bone mage needed to grow a large amount of shoulder blades. These shoulder blades could then be used to create wings, and were quiet capable of allowing flight. Osto was sure his master had shown it to him once. He just couldn't remember when.

Osto then realized he hadn't seen Jessie in awhile. He sat up and returned his book, before heading off to find her.

"Heh thank goodness class is over I can finally find a place to train or something." Ren says to himself thinking as he looked around. "Maybe a gym or sparring room would be good or something... Where would they be i'm not really sure where that is?" Ren sighed quiety. "Hmm... I wonder if anyone would help me in some way I know I have a dorm room bu thatss to small." After asking a few students around he finally found a sparring room happily.

Todd caught the last few snippets of the tv as well, thinking. Trouble seemed to be brewing on the horizon, one that he hoped everyone could handle. For now, however, he decided to look into the library for now. Entering it, he glanced through the tomes. Sound manipulation magic was easy in of itself to find, as well as a book on music. Other than that...

"They don't seem to have much in the way of fun here..."

"Ah, here it is!" Mikkish happily exclaimed as he, too, entered the sparring room, which looked like a big, empty, windowless, high school gym. There was no boxing ring, but on the floor there were drawn lines which formed a big octagon.

"Oh hey, man, you were on your way here too?" Asked a gothy looking guy to Mikkish. Despite his gothy makeup, he gave off friendly and eager-to-work-out vibes, like a body builder. Though he looked pretty gaunt.

"Just checkin out the place." Mikkish replied, looking to see Ren. He checked around the room to see if there was anything else to it, like racks for boxing gloves, but there was nothing.

"So you guys here to fight?" Mikkish said, posing with his fists and smiling.

Mr. Nakashima taught me how to imbue items. It was using those weird forge-like machines. He had me go and retrieve my bow, and then showed me. He took an average sword, made from iron, some wood, leather, and a few ingots of steel. He then began to fuse them into the sword using the machine. After a while, he pulled out the sword... it looked... different than when it went in. The blade was longer, the hilt had small stylized etchings on it, and the blade had a lighter color to it, it was definitely steel now. "Now, you try, time to make that bow less pitiful, it's honestly one of the most shameful things I've ever seen." He gestured to the forge.

He had already placed the necessary ingredients next to it... wood, leather, and string. I wanted to deny what he said was true. But, my bow was quite pitiful, it was made of a cheap wood that made it crack with almost every use, even now there was a large crack in it that I hadn't yet patched... I sighed softly and began, doing as he had done, fusing the ingredients with the bow... I think the wood was yew... a lot better than what I had... and the string seemed a lot tougher... and the leather was firm and supple... maybe it was from the wolves we fought yesterday...? I didn't want to think about it, not while I was doing something that could destroy my bow.

"Joe." Mr. Nakashima broke me out of my concentration.

"Y-Yes?" I tried to keep a close eye on what was going on before me.

"Do you like this, Alchemy, I mean?"

That's... a strange question to be asking at a time like this. "Y-Yeah, of course!"

"Why?" He asked simply.

That took me a second to think of. "Because... I just do. I mean... I'm not half bad at it... and... maybe... I can help people with it too. I mean, that potion you gave me yesterday was amazing. It completely healed me, it didn't even leave a scar, and that was serious damage. If you could do something like that, and make these wonderful things. Maybe I could do the same, and help others using my alchemy." I felt a little embarrassed after I said that... but I meant it.

He couldn't help but smile at that. "I see, quite an optimist, aren't you?"

I went quiet and finally pulled out a brand new bow. My bow had been completely reborn, it was now a lighter brown color, the patches and cracks that had covered the bow were gone. I experimentally drew the drawstring back... it had a lot more resistance than before. I drew it to its fullest potential... I knew that this would go far longer distances with a lot more force than my old bow. With my old bow, I had to be standing about thirty feet from my target in order for it to actually damage it, let along pierce it. "Mr. Nakashima, I did it!" I couldn't help but grin.

"The kid actually did it." He couldn't help but feel impressed, it would usually take a student months before they could properly imbue something. He was a natural born alchemist. "Good... that's all for today." He would need to think some things over...

"Y-Yes Mr. Nakashima, thank you!" I bowed and then left the room quickly, feeling giddy at my success, there was even a little bit of a bounce to my step as I made my way toward the dorms.

Ren looked up at the person sighing quietly.

"Oh you are here to?" Ren says. "I'm guessing you wanted to spar or practice your magic at least." Ren sighed quietly.

"Well I guess that's fun... but no matter I'm here to practice that's all." Ren stretched quietly. "I have to practice my magic just in case something goes insanely wrong."

Osto found the sparring room while walking through the school. Intrigued, he let himself in to find several of the other people from class. "Hello," he told them all, "I assume you are all here for the sparring as well?" Osto then grew a spine, and pushed it out of his back, then grabbed it and set it on the ground. "I'm willing to spar with anyone of you."

Amelia decided to blow off her steam with practice; that had always helped her manage her emotions. She walked in on the others there, seeing Osto walk in an issue a challenge. She stepped in behind him and called out, "Would you like to face me?" She formed into a flawless bow, and then fell into a comfortable stance.

After checking up on some reference material, which he would study later, Todd made his way to the cafeteria area, and bought some microwave popcorn from a vending machine. After shoving it in the microwave for a couple minutes, he made his way to the gym, where the sense of drama and over eagerness filled the air. Picking a spot along the wall, he gladly munched on the popcorn, watching with interest, as though his favorite television show was about to start.

Mikhail wandered the town for a short while before realizing he had not exchanged his rubles for dollars when he arrived, meaning he was basically broke at the moment. He promptly facepawed and turned around. Staying in the alleys wold probably bring trouble what with the outbreak of criminals and he didn't exactly want to be disturbed like that while he was sleeping. He thought back to the school, he may not be enrolled there but, if anything, he could pretend to be a stray animal and maybe one of the students would take him in for the night...maybe.

either way he headed back, taking the time he would've been exploring the town to look around the school instead. He came upon the gym and looked in to see some of the students from the earlier classes. It seemed like something was going on so he headed inside and took a spot off to the side to watch the others spar, get an idea of what the students here could do at least.

Osto turned to look at Amelia. "Alright," he told her, and walked into the centre of the sparring room. He rested his spine-sword on his shoulder. "Whenever you're ready, we can begin," Osto told Amelia.

Giving a heavy sigh I threw my bag ontu my bed in my room. Had to find something to do and practicing would help. I remember the school had a training so I turn and leave my room making my way there. I was expecting a couple people to be there but there were several of the odd classmates there. I walk in and find a place with a bit of space practicing punches against an invisible opponent.

"Hey, wolf boy!" Todd exclaimed, waving. "Popcorn?" He offered the bag to the wolf, expectant. "Any chance you need a place to stay tonight?"

He glanced across the room, at the various mages preparing for battle.

Jessy had woken up with a skull splitting headache and went to the nurse after stopping to throw up in the bathroom, the nurse had given her the day off school and she lounged around in her bed falling in and out of consciousness multiple times till classes where over. Her head still throbbed, but it wasn't as bad now than before..she lazily got uo and changed out of the clothes she was wearing, pullin on a pair of jeans, a navy tank top and her grey jacket she pulled her hood uo and went to look for someone she knew...a friend, the only one she could think of at the moment was Osto so she wandered around asking people where he was. Having one person tell her he was in the training room she headed that way, with a yawn she rubbed her eyes, her stomach churned and occasionally sent spikes of pain up her spine, she was paler than usual and looked weaker than yesterday... All in all she looked like she was hing over and didn't really care, with dark shadows under her eyes she keot her head down. Casually she strolled into the training room and glanced around, seeing Osto about to soar with someone (she couldn't think of their name at the moment) she found a bench and sat down arms crossed she drew her knees uo to her chest, watching Osto from behind the shadow of her hood

Osto saw someone new enter the room, and it took him a moment to realize it was Jessie. He ran over to her, still clutching the spine sword. He knelt down. "Jessie," he told her, "are you alright?"

Jessy shushed him closing her eyes as she put a finger on his mouth, she tried to make her answer as short as possible " Bad hangover, bad headache, talk later... Please be quiet " she laid her head to the side resting it on her knees she blinked once or twice looking at Osto motioning that he could go back to his sparring match she would wait, she took her finger off his mouth and went back to hugging her knees

Amelia was in the process of saying, "I am prepared." but stopped as Osto ran to Jessy. She followed several feet behind, watching the two, and taking note of how Osto stood, the... spine-sword? She just couldn't understand why someone would do that to themselves. Out of curiosity, she studied it, and quickly passed a hand over it to test its texture, sharpness, and durability. She stopped and stepped back, remembering that it was probably rude to touch someone's spine unless you had permission. She knew that the sword was a relatively good weapon, and, while having rudimentary training with one, preferred to learn disabling techniques.
