Fantasy Unnatural Academy

The next morning, Mikkish was woken up by a loud banging on his dorm room door.

"Hey! Fuck off! I'm trying to sleep!" Mikkish yelled back at whoever was doing it.

"Wake up, asshole! Rise and shine!" The voice sounded like that of a middle age, but strong, man "Maniacles ain't payin for this school so all you kids can sleep all day."

Mikkish gave a deep sigh, realizing resisting this guy could mean getting paralyzed again or arrested. He stumbled out of bed, late for his first class, and opened the door to see a power armored man, a Maniacles cop, but without his helmet. "Get to class!" The man yelled, his right hand brandishing what looked like a cattle prod.

Leaving the dorm building, with the Maniacles asshole behind him, Mikkish could see other such "officers" around the campus, watching the students with suspicion.

Mikkish gave a sigh

"Alright, class. Fore most of you its your first day, maybe your second if you decided to skip first class. Just do you know the syllabus can be found and printed from the schools website. Remember, if you're from the outside world, its .magi, not .com. Get it?" The professor explained to all the new students "Anyway, I know we are just getting into the semester, but I think the situation on this island is a perfect opportunity for a quick lesson. Those men in those power armor suits, or rather, exoskeleton suits, are mercenaries from Maniacles Corporation. This island has its own mage government, but is, in reality, owned by Maniacles. No country really has jurisdiction over it. We use American money and follow many American norms because Maniacles is an American corporation based in Nevada. We will go more into that in a later unit. Anyway, due to the destruction of the prison allowing the many criminals to escape, Maniacles has sent Mercenaries over to help the police here keep order."

The lesson went on, and Mikkish mindlessly took notes (only the ones written on the board, of course. Verbal notes are too much work.)

I bid Rue goodnight and then went to bed. The next morning, I woke up early, did my usual routine, but skipped practice, since I needed a new place TO practice at. So, I just shut myself in and read one of the alchemy books sitting beneath my bed. Once it was almost time for class, I noticed Mikkish hadn't budged an inch. I tried to wake him up, but he didn't respond, I felt guilty, but I was going to be late for class. I ran all the way to the classroom with three minutes to spare and took a seat at the front of class and took extensive notes, both from the board and from the teacher's words, adding in a few questions to ask about whenever the subject came up, or to research when I got out of class.

I had noticed the 'Maniacles' roaming around, however, I didn't really mind them. I mean, I wasn't doing anything wrong, and I knew that they had been posted around for our safety. I mean... a prison blew up and several dangerous prisoners escaped.

Once Joe was gone I went to my room low and behold the two were at it again. I made sure to slam the door shut before getting ready for bed and going to sleep. In the morning I looked to the clock and got ready for class with a sigh grabbing a bag and heading to the classroom picking a seat and waiting for it to start. I frown taking notes as it went only writing down what I thought would be useful.

Osto was still sleeping soundly. He was, in a manner of speaking, out cold. Eventually, when morning came, he groaned, and rolled over, clutching his head. The events of last night were fresh in his mind, and he remembered all the drink he had had. His arm slowly groped around him, and came to rest on Jessie's arm. He turned to her, and realised that he had taken her dress off her last night. He tensed up. I'll never drink again, he mentally told himself.

Amelia had blacked out. She heard Mikkish's parting words, and then... nothing. She woke up in an alleyway with no recollection of how she had gotten there. She stood up, accidentally stepping on a sleeping body. She shuffled back, and then, pausing to think, investigated. The man, and three others, were chained together for some reason. She checked their clothes, and found a symbol, with a string of digits attached. Where these... prison escapees? She resolved to take them back. She grabbed the chain and labored to drag them to the police whom she had seen walking everywhere. The ones whom she encountered were a trio of male cops, who, after looking at her strangely, took the prisoners and thanked her.

She ran back to the school, and after being intercepted by a sympathetic blonde cop with a ponytail, hurried into the assembly just in time to catch "-Or your second, for those of you who skipped your first classes." and hurriedly sat down near Mikkish.

Markus walked into the assembly later than he wanted to. So he pulled up a seat in the back and memorized the notes and wrote down the verbal. When he heard the whole prison exploding he blew it off because he knew he could keep his own in a fight. When the teacher started talking even more he just tuned him out and looked out the window waiting to be called out for not paying attention.

Halfway through the class... the door was suddenly kicked in. "SUP LOSERS?!" A male voice shouted out. The boy who had kicked down the door walked in with a cocky grin on his face. "Roy Hall, here to make your insignificant little lives a little bit more meaningful!" He crossed his arms smirking. "And how you may ask...? By being my entertainment, of course!" His grin grew even wider.

The boy wasn't that bad looking. He had long straight blond hair, it went to the back of his head and covered his forehead. He had blue eyes, fair skin, and stood around 5'10, and had a lithe build. However, his personality was atrocious.

I looked at this 'Roy' guy and couldn't help but shake my head in exasperation. "Why?" It was the only thought that went through my mind...

"Alright, Roy. Why don't you go ahead and take a seat? The day has been crazy enough already without you disrupting class." The professor said "Besides, you all have enough entertainment being taught in my class."

Mikkish turned to Amelia when he spotted her "Yo, you meet any mercenary assholes this morning?" He whispered

Roy gave the teacher a withering look and then quickly gave way to a pleasant smile. "Oh yes, I'm sure it'll be tons of fun. I heard that your lecture includes a magical place where anything is possible... Dreamland. Oh wait... that's just where I'll be while you're wasting all of our air with this pointless little lesson." His pleasant smile gave way to a wide grin. "Night, loser." He turned back to the class and finally decided to take a seat in the front, probably as a bigger 'screw you' to the professor. What was worse was that it was right next to me, and then turned to me. "Hey, I can count on some notes from you, right, my... be very grateful I even don this title upon you... buddy? Okay, thanks, night!" Without waiting for a reply, he leaned his chair back, put his arms behind his head, and shut his eyes.

"I-I... no... what...?" I was a bit... overwhelmed with his... 'stunning' personality. There wasn't anyway I was going to give him even a peek at my notes, I was quickly shaking my head and then let out an exasperated sigh, burying myself behind my notes, trying to process why in god's name anyone would take any of the actions that boy had.

"Roy, keep in mind this isn't high school. I reserve the right to kick any student out of my class who causes too much trouble. I would cut the attitude if I were you." The professor was clearly starting to get annoyed. Hell, even Mikkish, who wasn't normally one to care, already thought this guy was an asshole, and when someones an asshole by Mikkish' standards, thats saying something.

Cin moved forward on his wheelchair, finger pressed firmly on the button to move forward. The I.V. drips attached to the back of his wheelchair shook slightly with the movement. It had been difficult getting out of bed today; he probably needed to recharge more before he went to bed nowadays... He was late, but... at this point... Well, who cared! He had a lot of other things to think about right now. He wheeled into the classroom, a vacant smile on his face. "Haha, my apologies for being late, Mr. Teacher... Sure hope I'm not disrupting anything~" Talking was tiring. He wheeled himself over to the handicap desk on the first row, and took out a laptop to take notes with.

Osto had made it out of Jessie's room, and was now dressed. He was late for class. When he made it, he noted a boy in a wheelchair, and saw Mikkish, Amelia, and Joe. He quickly took a seat nearby them all. As he listened to the teacher, he turned to Mikkish. "Mikkish," he began, "anything happen at the party yesterday?"

It was already too late, he was already in Dreamland, doing god knows what to god knows who. But if I had to hazard a guess... I'd probably guess that he was at the center of a parade dedicated solely to him and only him while billions of people cheered on in the background... but that is of course merely a guess due to his apparent narcissism. For all we know he could be dreaming about puppies, or kittens... unlikely, but hey, ya never know! ...It's most definitely the parade.

Amelia frowned at the language, but nodded, almost imperceptibly, and held up three fingers. She whispered, "I'll tell you later." She stood up, apparently the only one to visibly care about the new student and to react. She saw him speak to Joe, and took three steps until she stood in front of him, and crossed her arms. "You. You have no respect or apparent honor. You, a narcissistic, intellectual featherweight, have no right to interfere or disrespect a man who has worked hard for his life to teach good students magic. If you wish to sleep, I understand, and you may do it in your dormitory, free of notes, learning, and a grade. So please," She said, leaning just closely enough to become intimidating, before finishing, "let those of us who care, and actually find our teacher's lesson interesting, pay attention without your snoring?" She turned and bowed to the Sensei, apologized for interrupting, and began to walk back to her seat.

I look across seeing some pompous guy walk in the room like he owned the place. Probably some snooty rich kid I though leaning back in my seat. I glance over seeing one of my roommates trying to tell him off. I just watched quietly to see if there would be a fight, argument, or anything interesting about to happen.

There didn't appear to be any affect... Roy just kept on sleeping, apparently oblivious to her confrontation. He suddenly snorted. "Stupidweaboobitchsays'what'?" He mumbled apparently in his sleep, stretching his legs and making his chair lean farther back and rest briefly on the desk behind him before going back to normal.

I heard what he said. I really hoped that girl didn't. I hoped that there wasn't going to be some transitive property effect where everyone's going to somehow blame me for his actions because he's sitting right next to me and had even made me his dependent on notes. "He's... He should really be quiet before he gets in trouble... and stop being so rude to people..."

Amelia frowned, and completed a semicircle. "I believe this is called a 'harassing situation,' common in school buildings, page 37 of 'Life and Social Systems.'" She smiled at him, and turned to the teacher. "Which subject will you be teaching today? Because if it involves fighting, I am certain that Roy would love to demonstrate it with me." She smiled cruelly, feeling victorious with her powers of being a natural teacher's pet.

Another sound came from outside the classroom, a sing song voice growing louder and louder. It wasn't unpleasant, though it could use some work.

"Who's the leader of the club that's made for you and me? M-I-C-K-E-Y M-O-U-S-E!"

The blond haired young man had an air of innocence about him as he bounced in, singing the Mickey Mouse March at a decent level. His purple eyes shown like he was in on a private joke, his hair messily crammed underneath (of course) a Mickey Mouse Epcot baseball cap. His clothes were casual, blue jeans and a plain t-shirt. He grinned at the teacher.

"I'm sorry for being late, I got lost."

If Roy had heard anything, he certainly didn't show it. But a small smile did cross his lips when the dorky boy walked in singing some song from a kid's show... It's a wonder he didn't lose it right there.

"Is everyone just late today...?" I blinked and looked at the new boy who came in singing. I couldn't help but smile and let out a small chuckle. It was... cute. You hardly ever really saw someone that carefree... and after that guy, Roy, I could really use someone like this right about now. It might even make Amelia and the teacher forget about him for a few minutes and just let the lesson reach its completion...

Osto watched the new blond haired man enter the classroom. He found himself awed that the boy was so.....odd, to say the least. He must have some problems, Osto thought. He didn't exactly look down on the boy, but all the same, he knew the poor man would struggle. Osto smiled at the boy, and gave a nod in greeting.

I look to yet another latecomer in the class. "You better take a seat quickly before you get in more trouble mousekateer." I say with a smile before going back towards my notes doodling here and there out of boredom. I thought class might be more interesting with such an odd bunch.

Todd waved at Osto and nodded at the red haired girl before glancing at the empty seats. He chose one at random, next to another empty seat, and pulled out his study materials. Writing down notes and singing to himself, he glanced around the room. Looks like he already made an noticeable impact. The singing helped, it seems. Whatever tension had been in the room seemed to have settled when he walked in.

Of all the things that could happen next, a wolfish head peeked around the corner, looking into the room uncertainly for a moment before it opened it's mouth to speak.

"Zdravstvuyte, is...is this the right room?"

without waiting for an answer, what would turn out to be a completely wolfish person pulled out a piece of paper and looked from it to the sign on wall next to the door. Apparently satisfied that they matched the wolf-man walked in and found himself a seat next to the blonde boy in the mickey mouse hat.

Todd looked beside him, eyebrow raised. He glanced left and right, then around the classroom, then poked the giant wolf.

"Errrr.... I think your fursuit has fused with your skin..."

I frown seeing yet another weirdo enter this room. I guess this was either another student or our class pet. I sighed heavily. "Such a weird school." I mutter to myself turning my notebook page in a bit of annoyance now. Hopefully not every day is like this but that would be hoping for impossible.
