“Worry not about me,” Leo replied, nonverbally declining the offer of earplugs. They clearly would not fit in his ears, anyway. “Perhaps try something more portable, though. There is no certainty that monster will keep coming back here. As for fire... I, too, can conjure some. This forest is damp, so there is less risk of setting it ablaze immediately.”

Aeon finished her dinner and dabbed around her mouth with a napkin. She still kept an eye on Fugai’s drone feed while they tried dialing Batman. “What do we need, the bat-signal?” she scoffed. It then occurred to her that she was onto something. “Hm! That may be a good way to lure that big bastard in the forest. Write that down, write that down.”

Seeing the dragon from before flying away from the tomb, the intelligence officer rose to her feet. “Anyway, want me to handle whatever took out our eyes in the tomb now?”

HUNK let out a muffled grunt upon hearing the gunfire. “I’d rather not find out who that was.” He searched for the lever, and though there wasn’t an obvious one in this chamber, the only apparent object that could be disguised as one was... “The torches.” He pulled on their mounts, one at a time, until one gave. The drawbridge started to lower as the agent held it.

Lara did a backflip, landing back in the entranceway as the dragon retracted its head and fled. “Who, exactly, is lucky here?” she muttered to herself before holstering her USPs again. She turned to head deeper into the tomb, undeterred.

The Knight steps onto the drawbridge, the sound of clanking wood on metal growing quieter as he walks into the next room. What made this one peculiar was the fact that the walls where no longer lit by torches, but instead, by another light source; ceiling lamps, on a metal roof. The entire wall to the left, in fact, was made of a different material then the ancient stone on the right. The Knight could only stare, as he noticed the black stains once again.

"Well, seeing that our only eyes to see is gone, we got no other choice." Fugai presses a few buttons on his watch. "Aeon, you'll act as our eyes from here on. Don't kill anyone, unless that anyone is going to kill you, than you can kill them first, because that's no bueno." The portal opens to the tomb, just at the entrance.

"In fact, while you do that, I'm going to see if I can get a crew to take care of Smaug."

As the group spoke, something flew right back into sight, at was long and ropelike, wrapping around a tree nearby. It was an esophagus, with a bloated stomach attacked to it. The stomach expands, and explodes into a pile of bile and acid, melting the trunk of the tree, causing it to fall right down at the group.

Stephen immediataley sensed the tree falling and the esophagus rope that latched onto the tree and caused it to fall. Not moving an inch, he raised his hands in the air as the tree fell and transmutated the tree into rose petals.

"Guys we gotta move quick, Leo can you set this forest ablaze, I'll deal with sound, Frank and Kevin, you both help with setting a trap for this thing, it moves too quickly and we need to corner it"

"This just took on a whole new level of bizarre..."

Ellie's quip radiated the silent sentiment exhibited by the rest of the team as they made their way to the Mall without incident; keeping their weapons lowered and at the ready as their HUDs immediately tagged the individuals in the room. Jack flashed his right arm up, hand flat and fingers toward the ceiling as the team halted. The air was thick with the dense tension that something was certainly here with them.

"Three, bioscan."

"Already done.. They're alive- in a state of suspended animation. Ever hear the myth of Medusa?"

"As if we have enough to deal with. Eyes peeled on your trackers; don't let it make eye contact."

The team was well aware of the distanced yellow blip that tagged along, being Agent Lucia. Staying slightly back from the others to examine the petrified figures and maglocking the massive anti-material rifle onto her back, Hailey pulled the M6C/S Magnum off her right hip and into her hands as she toggled the underbarrel laser attachment. Glancing over her shoulder momentarily, she gave the slide of the Magnum a good rack as she addressed the woman quietly. "Glad you could join the party, Agent."

Returning his hand back to his DMR, Jack nodded his head and brought his rifle to visor level as he nodded once, with the rest of the team advancing through the plaza in a fanned-out scan; covering a 180-degree perimeter with borderline machine-like choreography.

The mall itself looked as if no one used in in ages. The entire building was deathly silent, the only light came from the sunlight beaming from the glass ceiling. It was almost like they were walking right into a zombie apocalypses. The giant clock that sat in the middle of the main room was covered in dust, and the entire floor had debris from a multitude of the malls many shops. One thing peculiar was that a lot of it seemed to be food items, in that, while rotten and expired, looked as if something inhuman had eaten them.

Within the desert, a portal had opened with three men walking into the waste land. With them they carried a large case containing loads of Australium, a gold substance very valuable in their world.

Fugai's voice came through their coms. "Alright, we need you three to make sure Smaug doesn't meddle in our business. He won't be easy, Soldier, but I think you guys can manage it."

Soldier, the man holding the Australium, speaks into his watch. "Son! I have survived wars, a magic creampuff, and even soulless robots! I can survive fighting a giant lizard! Moving out, maggot!" Soldier lowers his arm, throwing the Australium to the ground. "Alright, Smokey, get those flaming weapon of yours all gassed up. And you, sasquatch! Get prepared to die, because we will need to sacrifice a limb or two!"

Heavy sighed as Pyro played around with a chunk of the Australium. "Heavy thinks this is stupid idea. We are sitting ducks out here, and they want us to kill stupid dragon?"

"It's the most patriotic thing to do, maggot!" Soldier said. "Now, let's show this filthy, gas dripping, beast a kick in the ass." Soldier held up two bars of the Australium. "Bilbo Baggins! Come out! We just wanna trade with yoooooou!"

"So the u.c.a arrives at last" smithy said from within his factory In his dimension, the demented blacksmith growled after a minion informed him of the events that have taken place since we last saw him "if they're anything like Mario they'd better start screaming for mercy"

"So the foolish morons have engaged the man-bat-man" zork said as a probe droid he had hidden in a tree watched pepperjacks party, the little alien laughed "good luck frank my old foe, and please die an excruciatingly painful death for your old enemy zork will you?" The alien mad scientist asked Before turning away from the computer monitor on which he watched said probe droid to another on which he watched soilder, heavy and pyro "what sort of metal is that?" Zork pointed to the Australium on the computer "that is australium, it can adapt and transform itself into different forms with invigorating health effects" a computer voice explained "pathetic fools, once the dragon is dealt with I shall come and claim this australium!" Zork laughed dementedly

Smaug was still flying, looking for anything shiny until he saw something bright, which was the Australium. Smaug swoops down to steal the precious substance, seeing the 3 men.

"If those insignificant fools can beat smaug they can't beat my robotic legions" zork boasted, the immediate area outside his fortress looking all cyberpunky and ominous

Meanwhile frank was building the trap with Kevin's help, making sure to keep it cleverly hidden, and Kevin was helping him

"Alright, nails?" Frank asked Kevin "here ya go!" Kevin said "thanks" frank said as he screwed them in and finished the speakers having already installed the motion detection tech "alright we're done." Said frank

Meanwhile madame misery was using a mirror to scry the TF2 gang and smaug, "fools" was all she had to say about them

Lucia shimmied through the mall atrium, keeping her back to the wall. Since there were no civilians in the vicinity, she drew Agni and Rudra. “Petrification...” she muttered, audible on comms. “It could be that, or a spell. It’s strong magic, either way. Check your corners.”

Then, there were the mismatched walls; the whole thing smelled like a conspiracy. “Umbrella used to do this... hide laboratories beyond ancient ruins,” he recalled. “Whatever was resting upstairs might’ve come from deeper within here.” He tracked the stains, following them towards their source.

Though the hospital equipment perplexed her, she couldn’t dwell on it for long. Potential rivals were way ahead of her; she needed to intercept or beat them to the artifact.

When she came to the sprung trap, she halted. “Whoever sprang this trap was fast; no sign of blood. At least two more people came through, possibly before this third person.” After the first part of her report, Aeon vaulted over the broken pillar.

The fire serpent appeared high above the trees and the fire columns wound amongst the trees, the molten earth sticking to the trees like napalm. The wood quickly dehydrated and caught fire, a small blaze slowly growing into a raging inferno.

The music echoed throughout the forest like a plague. From within, the inhuman screeching of the creature went unheard as it collapsed unto the ground. No activity seemed to come as the music played loudly, but from the sidelines, two things flew right onto the speakers, and stuck to them like glue. The thing had literally ripped off it's own ears, both of which were covered in inflated, pus covered warts. The warts begin to expand, and then explode.

The beast flies around the lot, it's head leaving a trail of blood. The fire making it impossible to find a good landing spot. It then quickly flies to a tree, purposefully ramming itself into it. It snaps the bones within its wings, ripping the skin. Then, with one good swing, throws three baterangs from each wing at the lot.

"Or, perhaps..." The knight said. "It was always in here." The further into the tomb they walked the less it looked like a tomb, and more like a hospital, and then more like a isolation chamber, the black substance becoming more constant. In fact, it looked as if it became thicker as they ventured deeper in. Oddly enough, it seemed any paperwork they came across was written in a language neither could understand. The Knight approached what looked to be the cause of the substance. It was a small pile of black ooze; and it was moving.

As the five walked further into the mall, the sound of a very messy scurrying could be heard. It moved all around them, following it was a horrid smell, of B.O, and decay. Then, whatever was doing this made itself present. It was small, no bigger than their legs, and greatly resembled a familiar blue hedgehog, and he spoke like a typical 80's action hero.

"Wohohoho! Hey gang! It's me! Your old pal, Sonic The Hedgehog!"

It wasn't Sonic. Whatever stood before them had the general shape of him, the color, the frills, but too much seemed off about him. In fact, it looked like whatever was staring at the group with hungry eyes was wearing Sonic like a suit. It's arm's and legs were rather muscular for it's size, it's eyes were large and bulgy, with dilating purple pupils. Parts of his fur seemed to be falling off of him, showing rotting skin. Behind Sonic's mouthful of rotting teeth showing a second inner mouth with needle like teeth. He even wore red shoes, and his hands were bare.

"Aw man, dudes, isn't this like, totally cool?" It spoke, saliva spewing out of it like a waterspout. "Hey! Remember when we blasted through Green Hill Zone together? Man, good times. Hey! Here's an idea, how about we get a cool pic together? Come on over here, I just wanna nibble your skin- I mean, get a look at my old pal!"

"You were right Frank, it despises flames, if we keep this up we might get to it and finally end it"

"We're not gonna end him as in killing it, of course, I swore a Hippocratic oath to not kill. But I won't hesitate to banish that thing where it'll surely die if things get out of hand"
