UNDERTALE

undertale_wallpaper_by_clydewuts-d9mn47v.jpg

Frisk finished their Pacifist run, and now monsters are free to roam the aboveground.

Asriel is bound to his promise not to end the said run, but he is again in the form of a Flower.

Monster Kid now worships Papyrus, instead of Undyne.

Mettaton has more legs than ever. (He has two.)

Undyne and Alphys remained together, and live happily.

Toriel learnt new recipes for pie, and started her dream job as a Teacher.

Asgore grew many more, new types of flowers in his garden.

Frisk became the ambassador between humans and monster.

A new school year is about to start, for monsters AND humans.

and Papyrus never figured out Toriel is not a clone...

How will their adventures continue?

Starting post.

Flowey was standing in Frisk's room, in a relatively short pot placed near the window, as trying to photosynthesize. Well, this wasn't exactly the most interesting life of murder, stealing souls and killing that he imagined when the Pacifist run ended, but at least the whole wide world became open to him, allowing for a wider palette of actions, and things to discover. He had seen the human world on countless runs that he did himself, but it was still better here than in that godforsaken mountain.

Tomorrow was the beginning of a new school year, and unfortunately, due to his age: Flowey had to attend... Flowey sighed on the very thought, having a bad vibe that Toriel would put a leash around him, or something like that. Flowey hopped up to Frisk's bed, because as a Flower in a pot: He was unable to walk. He grew out a magical vine from his body, from under the pot's ground and poked Frisk's face with a moderate amount of force, retracting the vine back into his body afterwards. "Wake up, idiot." he spoke, trying to wake up Frisk, but doing so quietly.

Chara sat in a dark corner of her room, frustrated. She hated how someone, she didn't know who exactly, said that she had knives, resulting in all of them being taken away. "I hate my life. I hate everyone. I just hate everything!" She yelled. Chara wasn't too happy that she was on the surface with everyone either. She'd much rather be back in the underground starting a genocide run. Most importantly, she did not want to go to school with anyone the next day. She didn't understand why she had to be enrolled. Chara kept repeating that she hated everything until she grew too bored to do so.

Flowey heard yells come from Chara's room. "Pathetic..." he whispered to himself. "And loud." he added, with a small smile painting on his face. He hopped towards the door of Frisk's room, he was just more of a living houseplant anyway. He reached to the handle with one vine, but then turned around, seeing Frisk still in their bed. "Hmm... Nah." and pulled the door towards, himself and hopping outside of the room, as quietly as possible. He looked around, seeing no one is looking out too. He closed the door quietly, and hopped over to Chara's room, hoping to find a way to amuse himself. Flowey looked at the huge door, that was several times taller than him, smiling tenderly. He grew out a vine from his body, and knocked on it several times, as quietly as he could, but loudly enough for someone inside to hear him. He retracted the vine back to his body, and waited.

Chara mentally debated whether or not she should open the door. After a few seconds, she did. "What do you want?" She upsettingly asked. "Why are you here?" She went back to her corner, but still looked at Flowey. "Give me a valid reason and I'll let you stay."

Flowey looked at her and frowned upon being given the questions. He was about to say that he was here to "politely" ask her to be quiet, as it was the night. But then he made the choice to rant about how much he hates everything much more than her, and then it came to him: That he just found the greatest way to amuse himself possible. He cleaned his throat, and gave off a firm, but friendly smile, trying to make it look genuine. "Your old friend, Asriel just wanted to ask... if you hate everything, do you hate me too?" he asked with an innocent, but believable voice, as his face shapeshifted into Asriel's. He wanted to see her reaction, and he was curious of it.

Chara became sad. "N-no...just- I-I don't wanna talk about okay?" She folded her arms. "I would never hate Asriel...." She quietly said and looked away. Chara thought of the past, but then remembered that she was upset, so she stopped. "Just leave me alone! I don't want to discuss this ever!" Chara said loudly, forgetting that everyone was probably still asleep. "Go back to the other room. I want to be alone." She said. There was a feeling of regret when she said that, but she hated talking about her feelings, so it was the only way to get out of it.

Flowey's face returned to a normal one. He looked quite amused, the reaction was amazing, and definitely more than he expected, but it was still quite not enough to satisfy him. "Alright, let's never discuss this." he agreed, hating the fact that there was still Asriel inside of him, and on the very thought, creeps ran down his stalk instinctually. "Why do you want to be alone, though? Is it because you have problems? Oh, great. You should talk to that idiot that lives in the room next to you, they're great at listening to things, and solving problems." he said, looking over at Frisk's room. For Flowey: It was wonderful to interact with a person that was depressed, and watching their reactions to different sorts of mental stimuli.

"How about that, or maybe..." he paused, thinking up some words, he needed a way to tease Chara. "Maybe you're just an idiot. A dissapointment that will fail Asriel. I bet he'd love for you to be happy. After all: He bled for you." Flowey's face got suave, and a sadistic grin appeared on his face. "He died for you. He was turned into ME, for you." Flowey said, as he slowed his speech down and his voice became more serious. Then he continued "I am suffering constantly. You're failing him constantly, just by wasting your time living, while I am stuck in this pathetic, myriad form. Each second is suffering to poor Asriel. Tee-hee~! And to think he was the cry-baby, while you're the biggest dissapointment of the underground." he said, hoping to make her mad, angry, sad, or anything in between. Flowey was enjoying this to say the least.

"Just shut up! Don't you dare bring Asriel into this. Don't you ever talk to me again! God, I hate you so much!" Chara yelled as tears filled her eyes. "Just leave me alone and never talk to me again! I will murder you slowly if you dare think about coming here to me again!" She allowed a couple tears to fall. "Don't bring Asriel into this....Asriel never would act like this....You don't deserve anything!" She thought about everything he said to her. "I don't ever want to speak to you again! You coming here to make me remember about everything I done is one of the worst possible things to do."

Chara got more angry and sad. "You don't think I know how much I dissapointed everyone? You don't think I know how I failed Asriel? Well, I do. And I hate it and you so much and...and-" She began to cry a lot for the first time in years. "Just go away and never come back here. If y-you weren't Asriel before, I w-would've killed you already." Chara did her best to stop crying, but she couldn't.

Flowey realized he's just lost a person he could've had much more fun with. Humans are much more fun to play with. They are unpredictable. He doesn't know their answers, their personalities, or their backstories. They're interesting, but she was just growing to hate him now, if that was a thing then he would be left with Frisk, and while Frisk was a human, Chara was more fun, as they shared several hobbies; like killing, and... killing?

Flowey listened to her cries, and hesitated to answer for a bit. This looked like a lost cause, but he still had one question for her. One thing that kept bothering him. It was as if he was water in a glass, this one thing was like that annoying fly that's lying in the said water. "Okay, I promise not to bring up Asriel. I promise not to anger you, and I promise not to come here. But, there's a condition: Answer one question, and I'm gone. The question is: Why do you hate everyone? I understand that you hate me. That's obvious... but why does everyone else deserve hatred?" he asked. He was just too curious not to ask, he felt like this question being answered would bring him some grim satisfaction.

"Because humanity is the worst. They killed Asriel. They kept everyone in the underground. But now I don't care that they were in the underground forever. I just hate everyone because people killed Asriel because of something stupid I did." Chara wiped her tears away. "Why do I hate you all? Because I do. That's all I'm telling you." She sighed.

"There. I answered. You said that you'd leave. So...bye..." She said quickly. Chara didn't want to be alone right now, but she didn't want to be with someone at the same time. She felt a little guilty at shutting everyone out. At this point, though, she couldn't wait until the night was over. A few seconds later, Chara mumbled something that she knew that she would probably regret. "You don't have to leave...if you keep your promises, then you can stay...because you're the closest thing to Asriel I can get..."

Flowey was intrigued with her response, eversomore due to it's nater. Because people killed Asriel? Flowey couldn't feel love, no matter how hard he tried understanding it. All of his 'friendships' were fake, and made only for his amusement, and to spend time in any way he could. But despite Asriel being dead, she still felt attachment to him. While it wouldn't seem much to a normal person, to Flowey: Comprehending this was like trying to understand the universe.

It was impossible for him, he could not comprehend, or even grasp what this was about.

He heard her further request, and while Flowey hated keeping his word, he had to. It was just a thing he had to do, for the sake of it, no matter how much he hated it. The best example was the pacifist run itself. He kept his word and didn't ruin it for Frisk. "Alright. Promise is a promi-" he spoke, hopping away towards some place where he could stand, and maybe photosynthesize, or... do something. But then he stopped, paused and halted doing anything, upon hearing her words. He turned around. This was even more interesting than anything else he's heard in a long time. Was her friendship with Asriel really so meaningful that she was okay with Flowey staying just because he had some Asriel in him?

Flowey had to think this through. Everyone else was sleeping. Nothing to do. It was either this, or standing alone in a corner for the whole night. He hopped towards her, wanting to ask 'why' at first, but she already told him before, even though he could not comprehend it. He knew that with one answer he would not understand what she meant by it. "Deal." he said, looking at Chara, and then moving inside.

Chara somewhat smiled, but she was still upset. She missed her brother. She missed everything in the past, but she knew that she had to focus on the present. When Flowey went inside her room, she laughed sadly. "Wow, I didn't actually except you to come in...I'm still mad at you." She pointed out.

But Chara still was unhappy and what Flowey said before made her feel worse. "Hey, one question...you asked me one and I answered honestly. So now you have to answer this..so...why? Why did you have to hurt me like that...?" She asked. Chara didn't look at him. She was still really sad and angry.

Flowey noticed her reaction, and was not surprised. He gave a few looks to the room, but found nothing of interest for now. He looked back at Chara, whom wanted to ask him a question.

He sighed and said "You see. When I was injected with determination: It gave me the will to live. Will to live does not translate to: Being happy, or feeling ashamed, guilty, or afraid of consequences. I don't feel attachments. I only feel cold. I feel alone. When I first came alive, I was still like..." he remembered his promise, and refrained from calling out Asriel's name. "I was like Him, but with time I noticed something. I was no longer happy. And later, I started reseting, to discover how would people relate to my own words? What if I killed Papyrus, but left everyone else. What if I killed Toriel, but left out everyone else? I want to know reactions, and emotions of people, because I can't feel them myself. That's why I hurt you; to see what you would do." and then stopped speaking, to let what he just said sink into her.

Flowey finished: "To be honest, I expected you to hurt me. But I was wrong."

Chara quietly said "oh" as he finished. She kind of felt the same way as him when she came back to life. But she wasn't going to tell him that. "I'll still hurt you though..." She warned. Chara remembered her knives were all taken away so shook her head. "I forgot....I can't..." She rolled her eyes. But then she realized it was still night so everyone was asleep.

"Hey, I'll be right back..." She got up with a mischievous grin. Chara quietly ran to the drawer where someone took her weapons. She got them back. A few minutes later she came back to her room. "I swear if you tell anyone I have my knives back, I'll hurt you..." Chara got tired and so she yawned, but she didn't feel as she should go to sleep.

He heard her response and asked "Will you?" with an intrigued voice. He heard her further words and smiled for the heck of it. Flowey hopped through the room, towards the middle, as soon as he heard her words. He heard her words again, and responded with "You will hurt me anyway, will you?" and an unsure voice, it trembled as he spoke.

Chara smiled. "Maybe I will...maybe I won't...it all depends..." She answered. "I won't tell you what it depends on. But words of advice: Don't get in my way..." Chara laughed a bit. She wasn't too upset anymore since this made her forget their previous conversation. She looked at the time. "Hm, it's almost morning...that means everyone will be awake...so I can't hurt anyone...you're so lucky..."

Flowey giggled in a... in an 'innocent' way. "Golly, you are trying to command my respect through intimidation!" he spoke up, in his old friend-flower manner of speech. "Let me tell you another thing: Try to kill me and you will have to learn how to headbutt bullets... made out of magic." he added, then paused and looked around the room. "So what will we be doing, anyway? You've invited me to stay, so I am expecting you have planned something that involves me. And if it involves me, it might be interesting."

Chara shrugged. "Um, I don't know. I just wanted comfort because I miss-" She quickly stopped herself "Wait, did you just threaten me?" Chara giggled for a second. "No, I didn't have anything planned. And don't threaten me ever again! Because trust me, you'll surely regret it."

Flowey giggled too, then responded "Gosh! Will I? Good luck, kid. I can't feel regret..." he called her a kid, despite being the same age, and despite being able to feel regret. "Aaanyway. Finish your sentence, it's improper to just end it like that! You miss what?" he asked her with utter devotion in his question, he seemed intrigued, and even enthusiastic about asking this, and as a smirk painted on his face, he hopped up to her to hear the answer to his question.

Chara looked at him upset again. "I'm not answering that! Not now or ever! Actually, I'm sure You already know the answer so why don't you say it?" She yelled with a tone of sadness and anger."Oh, wait, that would mean breaking your promise, wouldn't it? You wouldn't even dare do that." Chara said as both a warning and intimidation.

Flowey frowned, biting his lip. "Say it, say it now!" he demanded further, then heard her warning. "...I would. But it's a promise, promises are special. You don't break them. The very example of that is the fact that everyone in this night is sleeping peacefully, if I didn't promise not to break the pacifist run to Frisk, things would..." Flowey grinned, in a nearly sadistic way. "Go a lot more different." then giggled, returning to his normal face and trying not to be loud, as it would wake everyone up. "Now, say m- say his name. You miss him, don'tcha?" he demanded further.

Chara grew more and more miserable by the second. "S-stop! I won't! L-leave me alone already! I'll kill you if you don't!" Chara threatened. "Y-yeah, I do miss Asriel and I always will because he was my brother and my only friend and he was there for me and he was the best anyone could ask for...and now he's dead because of me....." When she realized she rambled about how she felt towards the end of her statement, she slowed down in speaking. Chara knew this would probably be used against her so she tried to cover it up. "I didn't say anything, okay? You heard absolutely nothing because I didn't say one word, got it?"

Flowey smiled and said "You are trying to make me stop, by threatning to kill me? Look at what you've become, Chara." he teased, his smile turning into a grin. Inside he was empty, nigh-emotionless, he was just trying to get her to be sad. "Just like I said before; a dissapointment." he finished, and giggled. He decided not to push too far, he DID promise not to anger her after all. "Okay, enough. I did not hear anything." and then sighed, having yet nothing to guffaw about.

He looked at her face and said "I have a question, Chara." pausing, and giving her a few seconds to guess. "Why did you suicide?" he continued afterwards.

"I'm aware of what I've become...and you're no better!" She said. When he asked her that question, Chara had no idea how to reply. "T-that's none of your business. All I'm going to tell you is that I did it to try to save everyone...but I didn't. The rest is not your concern. It's best if you leave me alone." She tried not to think about everything she did before. "Me killing myself before is nothing you should even worry or think about. You shouldn't know." She said.
