By now, they are down to just over one mile out. They will be in gun range in moments.
 
I just wish that there was a in-system game mechanic that would allow us to be able to do a missile barrage and target multiple Invid at once.
 
Besides missiles, what kind of attacks can I do whilst docked with an Alpha? (Notice the lack of innuendos there...)
 
In jet mode, you have the three Eu-13 pulse beam cannons. They do 1d4x10 each, and while normally the center gun is blocked by the Alpha, you can use its own gun pod to add to your own two to get the full 3d4x10 damage of the guns.
 
jaydude jaydude Unfortunately, you can only make one attack action at a time. Some actions do use up two actions in one (like a power punch or called shot), but otherwise its everyone gets to go in order.

Okay. I'll try and remember that for next time.
 
Lol and it doesn't help when we in like four or five different games each with different systems.
 
Looking over peoples stats, PP and most bonuses don't apply to shooting right?

By the book, no, they are not supposed to. However, I have been playing that your PP bonus does add to your ranged attacks.
 
I can't believe I hit on am 11. It feels like it has been so long since I hit something in a Robotech game xD
 
I'm trying to be mindful of my missile usage; I don't want to squander any, and I don't know if we'll be fighting another group of Invid after this one.
 
Don't be too concerned about your missile usage. You all have a lot to work with, and those Called Shots take up two of your actions.
 
At this point, I would advise the group to keep your last actions available for dodging, since there are five Shock Troopers and seven Armored Scouts with only a few of their actions used up.
 
I am trying too come up with a balanced game mechanic to be able to do a saturation attack with missiles, using a bunch to be able to target multiple opponents at once. While the game rules don't support it, there are many times in the Robotech series that there has been a volley launch to hit lots of baddies.

I am thinking of this. When using a missile attack, you can target multiple enemies in one shot. It will take a number of actions equal to the number you target +1, so if you want to hit three opponents, it will use up four of your actions at once instead of stretching it out through the melee round.

What do you guys think about this? We can experiment with it to see how well it works, and if we need to, we can toss it aside and try something else later on.

What if we launch literally everything and the main enemy horde and only have 4 actions?

Using this idea, with four actions, you could only target three of your opponents, no matter how many missiles you fire. As I said, this is just an idea, and is by no means perfected.
