Adam rolled over as the animal fall and sighed, "See, that was easy, plus this should last use until we get home."

Adam looked at her liked she was crazy, "Are you kidding that is a Trigurus, notice how the spots have three points, a Bigurus only has two."

At least the tri- and bi- differences made sense. "We don't have anything like that in the human world. We have big cats with spots and we have ones with tails...but nothing like this. I'll draw them for you sometime."

Adam smirked nodding, "Well, this is made of a lot of meat, they are really heavy and really powerful. It's kind of hard to catch one let along kill one, but obviously I make it look easy."

She smiled. "You do make it look very easy." She agrees with a quiet laugh. She knelt down by the animal and carefully ran her hand through its fur in curiosity. Then she looked back to Adam. "I know I'm not very strong but is there any way I can help you with getting it back?"

Adam smirked, "Yeah, I'll carry it and you can guide me. I won't be able to see much with this." He said as he went to carry the animal.

She smiled and nodded. Moving to a spot where she could accurately lead him. It took a slight stumble or two but then she figured out how to help guide him to their camp.

Adam lifted the animal and followed, sighing as he could gear her stumble but the animal's head was too big for him to see.

When they were finally reaching the camp, Azalea let out a relieved sigh. "Sorry, that was probably the scariest part of this mission so far for you." She teases

Adam sighed as he tossed them animal off onto the ground, "It's fine, might want to work on staying calm, though."

"W-what you think I wasn't calm?" She asks with a raised eyebrow. She hadn't been calm exactly. It she knew she was on edge.

Adam smirked, "You were nervous, but it's understandable since this is your father's world and you are still very new to it. But you shouldn't be, because it's not your father making friends in this world."

She raised an eyebrow, but she understood what he was saying...to a point. She sighed and gave him a small smile. "What can I do to help prepare the food?"

Adam smirked, "Since you haven't been hunting, I'll ask Kyle* to help, but you can make the fire and make it big."

She smiled a little and nodded. "That I can do." She says. She moved to start getting everything together for a large fire.

Kyle had already gotten everything ready to go when she came and smiled, "Have fun?" he asked her.

"Oh yes. It's always entertaining to be on the sidelines watching." She says sarcastically, smiling and looking over to him. "I am anxious to learn all I can to help."

Kyle* chuckled, "Well, it's safer at least." he sighed as he stopped,"Rowan, I hope you know that you have to learn to be okay with leading a mission, not everything that happens is your fault."

She sighed and looked up at him. "The thing is I have to learn. I have to learn everything here. Everything is different."

Kyle* sighed, "No one expects you to learn everything overnight, you have a lot of time to learn, so don't try to rush it."

"But I don't...not really." She says. She bit her lip. "Everyone here has grown up with this life. I have...18 years to catch up on." She points out with a weary smile.

Kyle* nodded, "Give it time, I trust that your instincts will show you just how much you belong to this world."

Rowan sighed but then offered a smile. "I'm sure you're right. If nothing else I'm good at building really big fires." She says, gesturing to the one she'd made and was still feeding.
