Kyle* grinned, nodding, "Yeah that would be good for you and then you would be able to know that you know him, even if he was different, you know him best."

She smiled some, reaching for his hand and giving it a light squeeze before standing straight. "Thank you Kyle*." She sighed. "I suppose I should get going. Unless there's more we need to go over?" She asks.

Kyle* shook his head "No I don't think there is." he said as he watched her with a smile, "I should started getting everything ready."

She nodded and pulled away, pulling her hand back. "Thank you, I really mean that." She says before moving to start to leave.

Once she was out of the office, Rowan sighed some and then moved to go to her father's room. The most useful way to spend her time would be to go over her father's journal.

Emery sighed as he was walking to his room, going through a few papers he had looked up in the library.

Rowan was coming from a slightly different direction than usual, but managed to get her bearings. She was rounding a corner a little too sharp though and nearly knocked into Emery. She still lightly bumped him, but she had managed to stop before she knocked everything out of his hands.

Emery stopped and sighed as she bumped him, looking up, as he held the papers at his side, "I'm starting to think you pay too much time, not paying attention."

"I've been known to do that." She says, deciding to just go with it, especially since this was not the first time she'd bumped into him. She bit her lip. "I'm sure that because it is a mission you will do it. But...are you okay with the mission tomorrow?" She asks. Really wondering if he was okay with her being his mission leader.

Emery raised an eyebrow, "If you mean if I will protect you, I will. That is my position, to protect. I have my duty and I will do it." he assured her, not sure if that was what she wanted to know.

She smirked. "While that's a relief, that's not fully what I meant." She says, though she did realize her question may have included that. "I mean are you okay with me being in charge. I know I'm not fully in charge, but in a way I am..." she sighed.

Emery shrugged, "What do I care who is in charge, I have orders and I know what to do. I know how to survive that's what I have to do and that is what I have to make sure that you do, so I will."

She nodded a little. She knew that answer made sense and she supposed she didn't expect much more from him. She bit her lip. She knew she should bid him farewell and leave him be. She felt like she just needed to give him space, but she didn't want to. She Wanted him as a friend as well, as unlikely as that was.

Emery raised an eyebrow, expecting her to have something more to say, but she didn't say anything, so he just looked at her and thought of what else she might want to say, "Well?"

She looked to him, not realizing she had been silent so long. "N-nothing. Sorry I almost ran into you." She says moving to go past him but then realizing he was going the same direction she was. She sighed and started that way.

Emery glanced ver his shoulder, noticing that she was behind him before he stopped and looked at her, "What are you doing?" he asked, not sure why she was walking behind him and why it felt like she was following him, when she did.

"I'm getting something from my father's room. I am sorry it happens to be in the same direction." She says, genuinely apologetic. Why was it with him she felt like everything she did was wrong?

Emery sighed, as he slowed down so she was beside him, "Then why are you following me, instead of walking beside me. It's annoying."

She clenched her jaw. "I figured you were annoyed enough with me. Then it wouldn't matter where I walked you'd be annoyed anyway." She says with a sigh as she walked beside him. Which was much nicer that trying to lag back or hurry ahead.

Emery sighed as he started to go through the papers, "Yeah, will yu can stop me from being annoyed, you are a child in a world you don't understand but that you should, so I am going to be annoyed. But you are also from a respected family of warriors, so walking behind me is silly and it is only more annoying."

"You know I've been here two days. Of course I am going to seem like a child. And I suppose age wise I am to you. But that's where I need to be taught Emery. I will learn, but it will be slower without others showing me what's right and wrong here." She points out gently.

Emery raised an eyebrow at her and thought fro a moment, "Well, you might want to learn who your family is first. Thi world works on the difference in families and you have to know what you are before you can do anything."

She nodded in understanding, drinking in his words. That was a very good place to start. "Y-you wouldn't happen to know where I could start that search do you? I mean are there like books on the families or anything? So I could at least know some of their background before actually trying to meet them?" She asks, very curious and eager.

Emery glanced at her and sighed, "You first have to go to records and be placed on your family book, then you have a lot of history to catch up on. Just give them your father's name and they can tell you what family you belong to and where to find the history."
