“Does what they...kill...affect their strength and ability then?” She asked. She looked closer at the werewolf, maybe the more brutish of things here but, well she was interested in all of them. More than just knowing what they were and did.

The werewolf paused before he tried to reach out to cut Rowan, Devon grabbed her to pull her back, "No. It doesn't."

Iyana smirked, "It does make them more skilled. I had a pet Werewolf, lovely thing, she tried to eat me four time." she chuckled.

It took everything in Rowan not to look to Iyana in surprise and slight amusement. “Well, good to know.” She said. She nodded to Devon for him to continue on.

Devon sighed before he started to lead the way, he lead her to a warrior like creature without a face, the darkness around him covered it, and all that was seen was his long white hair, "Goul." Iyana nodded, "Nasty things, they eat flesh."

Devon looked at it as it seem to look at them, "This creature eats the dead, but give it a chance it will eat the living, it eats flesh, blood and bones are all that is left when it is done." he stated, "They can fade in and out of our plane of existence, only those with sight can see them."

Iyana smirked, "And they don't like how we taste." she assured Rowan.

Rowan raised an eyebrow and glanced over to Iyana in question, but didn’t let her gaze linger as she looked to the ghoul. “Pleasant,” she muttered. She looked to Devon. “Is there something with this cell so those without sight can see it?” She asked, trying to phrase it in a way that didn’t give away what she was.

Devon looked at her and smirked, "No." he said, "It appears when it is hungry or week to those that can't see it, but I know it's there." he said.

Iyana smirked, "Did I mention my nephew told him." she commented and grinned, "Two more test, my blood." she said before she vanished.

Rowan fought her frown and urge to look to where Iyana had been. Instead she looked to Devon and nodded in understanding. “Makes sense.” She said. “Are there others like that in here?” She asked.

Devon looked at her frowning, "I don't think you are ready to see that. I can't keep you safe and it is best to leave it sleeping." he commented, "This way." he said turning to the right at a fork in the path.

Rowan hesitated, wanting to ask him to see anyway, but for the time she would follow him and what he thought was best. “What kind of creature is it?” She asked. Wondering if he’d tell her even if not show her.

Devon sighed, "A HellHound, We can't cage it and the barrier only extends to its side of the fork. We can't narrow it and we can't hold it any closer. They have their own kind of magic."

Iyana appeared beside Rowan again, "Ohhhh, I love HellHounds, the most dangerous things you will find. A mix of evil and power, werewolf, goul, vampire, reaper even Valcory. I love HellHounds, they will rip your body, soul and magic to pieces."

Devon frowned, "They are the worse and the reason the Darkness is no place for a Shadow." he sighed, "This way, there are two left."

Iyana smirked, "You have to have Sight to see a HellHound, or even to touch it. It is based in a completely different zone, a pocket space, where it can touch this world, but they can't touch it."

Rowan felt a slight frustration, so badly wanting to ask the strange woman more and more questions each time she spoke. She looked over her shoulder towards where the left fork would have led, and then back to Devon. “How did you guys get all of these creatures into the tower?” She asked.

Devon sighed, "When they die, the Guardian takes a team to capture another. It's best to control the population, even in the Darkness."

"And sometimes they send their heirs to do it." Iyana added, and then growled, "Because they don't want to face the fact that they left their own child to die there, when their brother wished to return to save her." she sighed, rolling her eyes, she glanced at Rowan, "Be glad I killed my father, he would leave you to die just so he wouldn't have to deal with the idea of his own failure."

Rowan couldn’t help but to look back at Iyana then, glad Devon was ahead of her. This woman made her a little uneasy but more and more she wanted to talk to her. Learn who she was and...well what she was. She started walking again and looked to Devon as she followed him. “Sounds dangerous.” She said. “What are the other two you have here?”

Devon sighed, "Valcory and Witch. they are the last creatures in the Darkness and they are the most...independant."

Iyana shrugged, "Of course they are, they are female."

Devon sighed, "And they are female, only ever female." he stated as they got to the end, two openings, he waved the fire off his hand and it jumped to the torches around the room. A woman stood with a smile and waved. Across from here was a woman with wings and legs like a bird.

"Oh, good, pets." the witch said.

Devon sighed, "Rowan, meet Gladiola, the witch."

Gladiola smirked, "A pleasure, to see you both. I would love to touch your hair." she said reaching out to Rowan.

Devon grabbed Rowan's arm, "Don't let her near you, her magic is dark and before you will be able to know what happened you will be letting her out and being her puppet."

Gladiola frowned, "Ohh, Devon, why do you have to take all the fun out of things. I am sure she likes surprises." she smiled, "And I have a big one planned for you, my dear."

The valcory watched in silence pacing with glares, "Don't get close to either of them." Devon advised.

An odd snorting sound escaped Rowan at Iyana’s comment to Devon’s about them being independent. She looked to Gladiola and then over to the Valkory. “I won’t...” she said. She was sure the witch’s words were just to goad her closer, but she almost wanted to ask what kind of surprise she had in mind. In her turn to look around the room she looked to Iyana in question. She wondered if all the creatures here could see the woman like she could.

Iyana smirked as she say Rowan look at her, then she turned to the Valcory, "Vicious creatures." she stated, "They are dangerous in flight."

Devon looked over at what Rowan was looking at and sighed, seeing only the Valcory, "Valcories are dangerous when they are in the air, they stay in high places and they are known for their cunning allures."

"For men." Iyana pointed out, to us, they just want to eat out insides and be done with us." she sighed, "I barely escaped a flock of them." she stated before turning to the witch, "But these witches, you should be careful with, they just need a strand of hair, a drop of blood, just a cell of your DNA and they can do dark things. They are able to take control of the other creatures, as are the Valcories."

Devon sighed, "We keep them away from the others, because they can master them. All but the Hell Hound, but he is a different problem."

A chill ran down Rowan’s spine. “Dually noted.” She said. “Anything else down here I should see or k ow about?” She asked him, genuinely curious. She wanted to ask other things but didn’t feel that she should in front of the witch or valkory.

Devon looked at her, "No, but I think there is something I should know. Like who have you been looking at." he said as he moved to leave, motioning her to follow him.

“I don’t know.” Rowan answered truthfully as she followed him out. She knew she hadn’t exactly been subtle, that would be something she had to work on she guessed. “Let’s talk up top.” She added. Wondering if Iyana would still be there and if she wanted to be seen. A small part of Rowan wondered if she was even real.

Devon led the way, "You have never seen them before?" he asked as he led the way.

Iyana just beside him, "Nope, never before, but I looked at you." she said walked beside Rowan, "I just came to play with the HellHound before my brother got here and then I felt you." she explained, "I used to be a Gear and a Warrior and a Nutra, all in one with some a betrothed that was a Judge and I the daughter of a Guardian." she grinned, "Now I am just me." she said walking beside Rowan with a grin, "I have one friend."

“No...” Rowan answered slowly, frowning slightly as she listened to what Iyana said. She could connect who she was, or at least that she was Hector’s sister. But not who she was otherwise. “Who is your friend?” She asked. Maybe whoever it was could explain some things. Iyana didn’t seem concerned with keeping herself a secret and yet she didn’t appear for Devon to see. But she supposed there could be any number of reasons for that.

Iyana smirked, "Your father, silly. Why else would I appear to you. He is the only one that can know me." she said before she moved towards Devon, she tapped his shoulder and it knocked him out. She stood in front of Rowan, "Now. Do you wnat to see the Hell Hound." she grinned with excitement."

Rowan looked to her, her eyes narrowed slightly. She was not afraid of this strange woman but rather curious. She looked over to Devon. “Only if he will be safe. I don’t want something g to happen to him.” She said, looking back to Iyana. “If He is safe, I will come with you to see the hell hound.” She added. A part of her knew she shouldn’t but she was curious and she did not think this woman would harm her. At least not yet.

Iyana smirked, waving her hands out, "We are in a tunnel, they are all caged, just don't let the Hell hound out and he won't even know what happened." she said as she skipped off, "Follow me." she called back.

Rowan looked to Devon. "I'm sorry." She whispered. She had no intention of letting the Hell Hound out. "Wiat, what's your name? How do you know my father? Is Devon going to remember any of this?" She asked. She had a dozen other questions, but tried to stop herself from getting too carried away.
