Helena chuckled, looking up at him, "What? I t was just a nice little thing, your charming others wasn't always easy to watch, and Jeremiah already knew where I stood and wasn't actually trying to change that."

Eric sighed, "Seriously, I just wanted something to snack on." he said before he got to his feet and then smirked, "On the bright side, I have missed my blades." he said, then motioned her off, "Take a quick corner and you should end up behind them. Hurry."

Nicoli gave her a small smile. “I’m sorry about that. I really had tried to stop anything intentional once you were at the tower. My sole focus had been you. But after 18 years of being like that it had just become a part of my personality I think.” He said gently and apologetically.

Rowan nodded. “I’ll bring you food. I’ll put it in my father’s room.” She said with a smirk as she quickly turned and took his directions to get back to her position behind Emery and Brendon. Relieved that Eric seemed unworried. I’m second she was behind Emery again, once more keeping up with them easily.

Helena smirked, "Well, that is why Jeremiah was such a good friend that way." she teased. She sighed, "Besides, if you had, then Rowan might not be here and she is very important to have here." she stated.

Eric sighed as he placed his hands around his blades handles, he smirked at Brendon and Emery as they stopped, "Thanks." he said.

"You are coming with us, Eric." Brendon ordered.

"I don't think that is how this works." Eric stated, Emery took out his weapon and so did Brendon, "But I guess you can persude me." Eric shrugged.

Nicoli sighed. “She is very important. There are many things I would do over Helena, but I can’t imagine not having Rowan.” He said quietly.

Rowan came to a stop behind the two men, eyeing Eric curiously as he spoke to them. She didn’t understand why he wasn’t running, why he wasn’t using the opportunity to get away. She looked between Emery and Brendon, she had no weapon and in this moment was completely useless to the two of them.

Helena smirked, "And that is why it is so important that no matter what you hold on to her. Because in this world, she is going to need her father to keep her alive."

Eric smirked as they came at him, he was quick on his feet and he didn't let them have the upper hand.

Nicoli sighed but then smiled. “I know. Though I think she’s too stubborn to be killed so easily.” He teased. “But I will protect her in every way I can...including from any suitors she might have.” He said, making sure the last part was teasing.

Rowan sighed, stepping back so she was out of the way, watching their every move carefully. There was nothing she could do right now but watch and learn.

Helena chuckled, "Whatever suitors she gets you will accept her choice and work on getting the to be good for her, when she is not looking." she teased him.

Eric sighed when he pushed Emery back, before he turned and got on the edge of the window, "Have fun." he said before he fall through and vanished, Brendon and Emery ran to catch him, but couldn't, looking down they sighed.

Brandon growled, "Damn it." he snapped as he stepped back and looked to Rowan, "We lost him."

Emery sighed, "At least he we know he hasn't last a step." he stated.

"I think that is the down side." Brendon sttaed, "What I can't get, is I got him before, but now, it's like he is fighting at another level."

Nicole laughed quietly. “I can’t scare them even a little while she’s looking?” He asked playfully, knowing the answer. “I can’t help it, I just got my little girl back, I don’t want to lose her too quickly to all the boys who are already after her and she’s only been in this tower.” He pointed out.

Rowan sighed a little. “He’s trying to get things done before he’s caught.” She pointed out. “Maybe trying to set another trap is a good start?” She suggested.

Helena chuckled, "To be fair, it's your fault she has the attention and no, you can't scare them in any way." she protested and smiled at Nicoli, "You have to take care of her, and make sure she is happy, while I am gone."

Brendon sighed, nodding, "Maybe. But now we lost his shadow weapons. There is no telling what he is going to get to."

Emery looked around, "But why here?" he asked.

Brendon looked around confused, trying to understand the question. Then he nodded, "Yeah, I thought this wing was cut off by Hector." he looked down the hall, "What or who is down here?" he asked. Helena's lab had been a secret and located in this wing, by Hector and he had made sure no one knew it.

“I will. And you’ll just have to come back so I can prove I did as I said I would.” He said with a smile.

Rowan frowned a little. She wondered if he’d just ended up here trying to get a break with the hope no one else would come around or if someone he was searching g for was here. She looked to Brendon and Emery. “Maybe there are other spies around. Someone he was meeting with?” She suggested. Or someone he was looking g for.

Helena smiled at him, nodding, "Of course I will come back. I think I have proven that I will always come back to you. No matter what."

Brendon sighed, 'I'll take a look around and meet you guys back at the training area. I have to make sure there is no one else."

Emery nodded, "We have something to do and then we will meet you there."

“You certainly have proven that.” He said. Then he thought about it, for whatever reason that had reminded him about her using Shadow Transfer. “I wish you’d be here long enough to explain Shadow Transfer to Rowan. I’m sure she’s already asked about it and gotten an explanation but since you were the one doing it I’m sure it would mean more to her coming from you.” He said.

Rowan nodded, glad Emery was still going to come with her. “It shouldn’t be long.” She said, as if to assure all of them, before turning to go with Emery.

Helena smirked, "Maybe when I come back, I can talk to her." she assured him, "There is just going to be less to explain."

Brendon nodded, "I'll see you then." he said as he moved on.

Emery turned to Rowan, "Okay, let's go."

Nicoli smiled a little and nodded. “I’m sure there will be far less. I just want to make sure you have plenty of reasons to come back.” He said.

Rowan nodded and followed Emery in silence, at least at first, to where they were going. “What if we tried to focus on rooting out one of the other spies and using them to help catch your brother or whoever else is involved?” She suggested.

Helena smirked, "You are the only reason I have ever needed, I don't think I need so many reasons, but it is always good to have them."

Emery sighed, "We would have to know who is a spy, other then Jean, do you know any active spies on the rogues side?" he said as he lead the way.

Nicoli smiled. “It’s always good to have more and more reasons.” He agreed.

Rowan shook her head. “None other than Jean, no, but I’ll see what I can find out. And Brendon might have some ideas right?” She pointed out.

Helena giggled, "But I have a reason." She assured him, "A few more might just make the time apart, harder."

Emery sighed, "We will see. Right now, we don't have any leads, other then the one that jumped out of a seventy two story window." He commented

"You're not going to be gone long. I'm not going to allow it. So it won't feel too bad." He tried to assure her.

Rowan couldn't help but to glance back a little. "I know he is fine, because it seems impossible he's not, but how the hell did he jump from that high of a window?" Rowan couldn't help but to ask as she looked forward again, glancing to Emery a little as they walked.

Helena smirked, "I know you won't and I know that I will be back and everything will be find, when I am. But you have to realize, a day away after being away so long, will feel like a very long time." she told him.

Emery paused for a moment and looked at her, "He is a Shadow." he pointed out as if that made all the sense in the world. Then he was back to leading the way, towards the Central entrance of teh Library."

Nicoli sighed but then nodded. “I know. But it’ll be okay. We’ll make it through just fine.” He told her.

“Fair enough.” She said with a grin. She didn’t talk after that. Not until they reached their destination.

Helena sighed, nodding, as she closed her eyes, "I know we will." she smirked, "It's almost like before."

Emery sighed as he opened the door, looking around, "this way." he said as he lead the way.

“Yeah almost.” He agreed, holding her close.

Rowan nodded as she followed him inside, looking all around her. “How will it work once I’ve claimed her as my mother?” She asked Emery. Wanting a little conversation between them.

Emery sighed, "I don't know, it's just something you know. I have never been an orphan, so I don't know how it works."

Rowan nodded some. She hesitated a moment, started to open her mouth to speak, and then hesitated again. "I...thank you for coming with me Emery. I know you just want to make sure that one of the best Science's around sticks around, but thanks all the same." She said.

Emery sighed, "You make it sound like I only care about one thing." he stated, before they got to the door, marked 'Register', "Helena is more then on of the best, she's worth more then your father is a warrior and she was part of this tower last."
