Three's a Crowd

Evangel nodded at his explanation. It was warm, and it felt good on her bare skin, as showers were meant to. Except they weren't really showering.

"I mean right now." She clarified, smiling up at him. Even though they were sitting down, he still appeared taller. Eva ran her fingers through her soaked hair, attempting to comb it out. She probably looked kinda shitty what with her hair all matted because of the water. Luckily, she hadn't been wearing makeup because it smudged off in her sleep, so there was no worries there.

Atticus though, he looked sexy as hell. Just like always. The whole drenched look worked on him, which was strange of her to think, but it was true.

Atticus smirked a little bit at her, sure that she could guess what was going through his mind.

She looked sexy sitting in the shower like she was. She was already stunning normally, but completely nude and dripping in water just was.. Wow. He had to force himself to focus on her eyes although they had slipped a few times.

"We could go for a round two," He suggested, taking his chances with it,"Or we could get out and do something else. We could watch a movie or go get food or.. Yep, that's about all I do so." He laughed and smiled at her, knowing it sounded lame but he honestly didn't really do anything. He liked sitting in his room. It was either that or he was out getting into trouble with his friends. Eva wasn't a trouble maker though so they couldn't do that.

Evangel was well aware of his wandering eyes, but she didn't mind. She just grinned mischievously at him, teasing him. Typically, she would feel wrong doing this sort of thing if she were with Jace. But with Atticus, she wasn't even guilty about anything they had done. It was if it were meant to happen.

The girl considered his suggestions. Right now, all she could think about was his perfect self sitting naked in front of her, his eyes running up and down her body.
"How about... All of the above," she decided with a smirk.

Eva leaned forward, placing her hand on his thigh, and moved to kiss him.

Atticus was more than happy with her answer. She really was perfect.. She was beautiful, had a sex drive, and still wanted to go out and have fun. Why hadn't he said something sooner?..

"I think that is a perfect idea," He agreed with her, a smirk coming over his lips. He leaned in as well and kissed Eva. He did it for a few seconds just like you would going about a normal kiss but then picked up the pace and passion a little bit, moving far quicker than earlier. He leaned back against the wall and gestured for Eva to move closer to him or just to get on top of him, whichever she felt like doing in the moment.

Evangel grinned and moved into his kiss, keeping up with the quickened pace. As he leaned back, she followed, sitting up to straddle him, intensifying the kiss. She began to let her hands wander, much more forward this time.

----

Eva sat on the edge of Atticus's bed, one of his shirts covering her naked body. It had been amazing, yet again, and she hardly noticed the awkwardness that the shower floor created because it wasn't there with them. They seemed to be able to go at it wherever. She grinned at the thought.

"So... Food. I like food. Where to for food?"she asked, looking up at Atticus as she combed her hair with one of his combs. Once she finished, she slicked it back into a messy bun considering it was still wet from their little shower experience.

Atticus was during his usual routine of getting dressed which was a lot of kicking around in his boxers and looking for something that looked decent enough to wear. He didn't know what he wanted to wear though. He wasn't even sure of the temperature. "What should I wear?" He asked Eva, wondering if she had a preference of what she wanted to see him in.

"I love food," He said with a smile as if he'd one-uped her. He ran a hand through his damp hair as he thought. "We could go to Slices and get pizza. Or that one place that has that really good mac and cheese.. Orrrrr.. We could go to Habit and get burgers. The possibilities are endless!" He exclaimed and then smiled.

Eva grinned as she watched Atticus fumble around in only underwear. His frustration in finding clothes was cute. When he asked her what to wear, she slid off of the bed and walked over to his pile of clothes. She selected a pair of dark jeans and a stripes blue and white hoodie.

"It was kind of chilly on the way over, so wear that." She handed the clothes to him with a smile. Her only option was her clothes from that morning, so she moved to find them.

Evangel stood, facing away from Atticas as she stripped of his oversized shirt and tossed it aside, revealing her body once more. She was secretly hoping he was watching. She then proceeded to slip on the summery dress she was wearing earlier.

Atticus grinned a little bit when Eva got up and picked out his clothes for him. It was kind of nice.

"Thank you," He told her sweetly, kissing her cheek before she moved away. He started to get dressed but kept his eyes on Eva as he found it almost impossible not to when she was taking her clothes off, yet again. If he could have it his way, neither of them would put clothes on for the rest of the day. He was hungry though so leaving the house was necessary. He pulled on the hoodie and stepped over to her as she finished getting dressed.

"So, what were you thinking about eating, hun?" He asked her as he moved his arms to be around her shoulders. He was honestly down for anything so she could pick.

Evangel smiled warmly as she felt Atticus's arms around her shoulders. Her smile brightened as he called her "hun". It was so sweet and casual, but it felt right for him to call her that.

"Erm... " She considered her options, furrowing her brow while she did so. Honestly, pizza sounds best at the moment. "Pizza?" She suggested, turning to look at him with big brown eyes.

Eva mentally made a note to text her parents and let them know that she was invited to dinner with Ashley, so she would be home later than expected. Only half of it was a lie.

Atticus grinned. "Wonderful choice," He remarked when she suggested pizza. He smiled when she turned and he leaned down to give her a soft kiss. He felt like he was kissing her too often but he couldn't totally help himself at the moment.

He let go of her and started to gather up all of his things that he'd need, then walked over to his window and slid it open. He climbed out of his easily, then stood on the other side to help Eva out although he knew that she was capable of it on her own.

~

Jace skipped the steps by two on the way up to Eva's door. She hadn't texted him all day and he was started to get worried. Something was just off. They might've not been a super clingy couple but more than one text usually occurred. Maybe she was just really, really mad at him and really, really sick.

He knocked on the door and put his hands in his pockets, waiting for someone to answer. He assumed it be one of her parents if she really was sick.

Evangel smiled into the kiss, enjoying how gentle he was with her. She waited until he was safely on the ground, and slid out of the window herself.

"Let's take my car so we don't have to come get it later," she suggested as she strolled over to the bubbly little bug. It wasn't a badass car like his mustang, but it was perfect for Eva's sweet, innocent nature.

She climbed into the seat and reached over to unlock the door for Atticus. It was an older VW, so she had to manually unlock it. Once he was in, she started the car and drove to Slices.

---

Eva's mother heard a knock on the front door, and she got up to answer it. To her surprise, it was Jace.

"Hello! If you're looking for Evangel, she's with Ashley going to dinner, I guess." She explained.

---

Once they arrived to the restaurant, Evangel turned off the car and slid out, locking the door and grabbing her purse. She looked over the car, smiling over at Atticus.

Atticus made sure be there just in case Eva fell but as predicted, she didn't need his help at all. He nodded at her suggestion and tagged along to her car.

"Damn. This must be a chick magnet," He teased her with a smile as he slid into the passengers seat. It was cute. It fit her personality.

~

Jace smiled. "Hi Mrs. Winters," He greeted her sweetly but his smile was soon taken over by confusion. Dinner with Ashley? Why wouldn't she tell him? Wait, he thought she was babsitting?..

"Oh.. Didn't she stay home today?" He asked her, obviously confused as to why she would've gone out if she wasn't feeling well/was busy.

~

Atticus grinned over at Eva as they got out of the car. When he met her in the front, he slung his arm around her shoulders and started up towards the restaurant.

"We should sit outside. It's really nice out," He suggested as he looked up at the cloudless sky. He was feeling a lot better than he had in a long time so he was going to take advantage of his good mood and the situation.

Eva's mother frowned deeply, looking at Jace carefully. "She... Definitely hasn't been home all day." She replied, starting to worry.

---

Evangel smiled as Atticus placed his arm around her shoulder. She leaned into him, and nodded with his statement about sitting outside.

It was more of a seat yourself kind of place, so the couple went and occupied an outdoor table. A waitress who was already outside came up to them with a beaming grin.

"Welcome to Slices, can I get you anything to drink?" She asked, her voice a few octaves too high. She was friendly nonetheless.
"I'll just take an iced tea, please."

Jace furrowed his eyebrows at the answer but quickly realized that he probably shouldn't worry Mrs.Winters, so he smiled.

"My phone was dead all day. I just assumed because I didn't see her.. But now that I think about it, I'm pretty sure she had a test to make up during lunch. Thanks Mrs. Winters," He told her politely before turning around and heading back down to his car. As soon as he was inside, he quickly called Ashely, asking if Eva was with her. She wasn't..

~

Atticus walked along with Eva and sat down across from her. He looked over at the waitress who came by and grinned at her be be polite. "I'll take a Coke, please," He responded before looking over at Eva.

"Let me guess.. Pineapple and ham?" He guessed what pizza she was going to order. The combination made him gag but she liked it.. For some reason.

Evangel shot him a mischievous glance and nodded in response to his question. "I was planning on it. Unless you would be too offended?" She added with a smirk. She placed her hand underneath her chin and smiled at Atticus, just staring at him and taking all of him in.

He really was perfect. He had a strong jaw line around a pretty damn attractive face. His eyes seemed harsh, but brightened up when he looked at her, which made her smile. He was tall, muscular, kind, and everything else she would ever want.

The waitress came back with their drinks and placed them on the table. Eva casually glanced around and noticed something odd. A very familiar Audi was driving by. With a very familiar face staring her down from the front seat.
"Oh god..."

Atticus laughed a little bit and shook his head. "I'll try not to vomit," He teased her. It really wasn't a big deal considering they served the pizza by the slice. He winked at her when she smiled at him and observed him. She was adorable. She was an absolute dream, really. He knew that technically she wasn't his but he was going to pretend that she was for at least the moment. So in that case, he was one hell of a guy.

He thanked the waitress when the drinks came back and he took a sip. He looked over at Evangel when she spoke and furrowed his brows. It looked like all the color of her face had drained; it was like she'd seen a ghost or something. "What?" He asked before turning to follow her stare. He felt his heart drop a little bit, seeing what she had.

~

After Jace's quick phone call with Ashley, he first started to panic. Why would she be ignoring him? He knew that he'd been an ass but she usually at least told him. She never ignored him for an entire day.

He called her phone countless times as began driving around town, trying to rack his brains of places that she may hang out in her free time.

He suppose that he got lucky because one of his first stops was a plaza full of shops and restaurants and to his delight, he found her sitting outside, sipping on a drink. Well, almost delight. He slammed on his brakes in front of the restaurant when he realized who she was with. "You've got to be fucking kidding me," He muttered to himself.

Without even really thinking, he threw the car into park and got out of the car. He marched up to the tiny gate that separated the street from the restaurant's patio, his eyes switching between her and Atticus. He could feel his heart start to pound faster as a million thoughts started to run through his head.

Evangel could hear the screeching of the Audi's breaks as Jace slammed on them. She turned her head away and classes her eyes, trying to prepare herself for what was to come. She winced as he slammed the car door and made his was over to them.

She wasn't sure how to go about this, so she said,
"Hi Jace. Wasn't expecting you out here," that was an understatement.

Eva turned to face him, her eyes wide and apologetic. She should've known he'd find out. God, she thought, I'm so stupid.

Atticus could tell by the look on Jace's face that he was pissed. He knew it had a legit reason to be, but the first thing Atticus did was stand up from his seat as if to protect Eva who was looking at Jace, absolutely terrified and upset.

~

A snarky laugh escaped his lips. "God, Eva," Jace said, shaking his head,"This is why you left early? To go to him? Do you not remember him beating my face in last night, huh? Does that happening to your boyfriend mean absolutely nothing to you-I'm the one you're with. Not him! I'm the one that's in love with you, Eva. I know I fucked up, okay? I apologized. Don't do this to me though. Don't go behind my back and hang out with people I hate."

If she was going to stab him in the back like this, she might as well do it more sneakily than she was. It wasn't too hard to find her.

"Do you know how worried I was about you? You didn't answer any of my calls. Your own mom didn't even know where you were, Evangel," He told her. Although he might've been pissed, it was obvious that he was worried too. "Come on. We're leaving," He told her, side glancing at Atticus before looking back to Eva. The two of them were being extremely quiet which only made him even more uneasy about the whole situation.

Evangel sat in her seat quietly as Jace went off about how it wasn't okay for her to be hanging out with Atticus. She hated yelling and confrontation, but she seemed frozen as he kept going on about how worried he was. She could tell it was genuine concern.

Even though she didn't regret doing any of the things she had done with Atticus, she was feeling a bit guilty for Jace's sake.

Eva quickly glanced over at Atticus, unsure of what to do. Does she go with Jace or hold her ground? All if this was extremely unfair to her boyfriend, she began to realize. But she was happier with Atticus. Evangel sighed loudly and stared at the pavement.

Jace looked between Atticus and Eva again, confused as to why neither of them weren't saying anything. Was he speaking a different language or?..

"Evangel. I said we're leaving. Get u-" Jace began to repeat to Evangel but he was stopped by Atticus.

"Don't tell her what to do, man," Atticus told Jace which only seemed to infuriate him further.

Jace narrowed his stare on Atticus now. "Don't call me 'man'. We're not friends. You're the one fucking up our relationship. I don't know what you did to her but you confused her or something. So fuck off," He told Atticus bitterly before looking back to Eva. He was trying to be as nice as he could in the situation because he'd promised her to ignore him.

Evangel stood as Atticus moved to stop Jace. She knew that if she didn't leave, things would get out of hand again, and quickly.

"Jace... I'm coming, be nice okay? No ones ruining anyone's relationship." Eva whispered, staring at a spot beyond him. Little did Jace know, Atticus was kind of ruining their relationship, but she definitely didn't think it was a bad thing.

Turning to Atticus, Eva offered him an apologetic smile.
"I should go then before this escalates. I'm sorry. Thank you for everything. Here's my keys, I'll come get the car later." she said, not worrying about whether or not Jace heard her. She turned to her boyfriend and without saying a word, tossed Atticus the keys to her car and walked out to the Audi.

The auburn haired girl looked over her shoulder to mouth the words "call me later?" To her best friend behind her.

Atticus couldn't help but feel his heart break a little bit when he heard Eva. Not only was she leaving with him but the whole relationship comment got him too. She hadn't changed her mind, had she? He looked in Eva's direction with wild eyes and furrowed his brows when she tossed him her keys and said she'd come back for the car later.

He couldn't even get any words to come out. She was just.. Leaving him. Just like that.

Jace, on the other hand, smirked, hearing that Eva was coming along. When she walked over to him, he slung his arm around her shoulders and walked back to the car. He let go of her to let her get into the other side before getting into the running car himself.

Atticus didn't even do anything when Evangel mouthed to call her. He just turned, dropped the keys down on the table, and slumped down. If he hadn't taken the Valium this morning, he'd probably be losing his shit over it all.

Evangel sat in the passenger seat of Jace's car, staring out the window. She felt absolutely horrible for leaving Atticus like that, but she wasn't about to let Jace and Atticus fight again. She hoped he realized that.

She refuses to look at her boyfriend as they drove. She had no idea where they were going, but she was itching to get back to Atticus. All she could think about was his hands all over her, kissing her softly. How much she loved him... A small smile formed on her lips as she thought of the memory.

She had decided that she would have Ashley come take her back to his house that night, if she got away from Jace. One, to get her car and to apologize to him for leaving. God, I hope he understands, she thought. She wasn't leaving him and she began worrying that he assumed she was.

Jace side glanced over at Eva multiple times as they drove but never did she looked back at him. He didn't that he'd done anything wrong. Okay, yeah. He got a little rough last night but he apologized and stayed there with him. And today, all he'd done was text her and apologize again. He didn't see what was so bad about that.

"What were you doing with him all day?" He asked her, more than curious to know what she'd do for an entire day alone with him. It wasn't that he didn't trust her. He just really didn't trust Atticus. The way that he always jumped to defend her and how he looked when they left.. Something just didn't seem right.

~

Atticus tried to tell himself that it wasn't bad. She just didn't want them to fight again.. Right? That had to be it. She seemed pretty into him today. He was just really worried that it was just a phase. Like she just wanted to see what it was like to be with him. Jace seemed pretty convincing though. She'd already fell under his spell once..

When the waitress came, he ordered himself a slice of pizza, thinking he might as well eat. He hadn't eaten since yesterday sometime and the only other thing he had to do was to go sit in his room all alone.

Evangel sighed and continued to stare out the window. She jumped slightly as Jace spoke, the silence had been so deafening.

"I wasn't with him all day," she lied, no expression on her face as she spoke. "We were just going out to eat. Sorry for worrying you, I just knew that you wouldn't let me see him so I decided not to tell you."

After she replied, Eva turned to the window again. She really really wanted to get back to Atticus. She had to. What if he was thinking the wrong thing and was going to have an anxiety attack again?

"Jace, turn around."
