Evangel frowned as she listened to him, hanging on his every word. So something did happen. It must've been something bad if he had to escape his parents. Usually they acted as if Atticus didn't exist.
"Well, I'm glad you're okay. I'm sorry about that, though. And thank you for answering my call." Eva added as she stared out the back window into her backyard. If he wasn't in jail, though, it probably wasn't too serious that she needed to worry a large amount.
"How soon can I see you?" She asked him quietly. Her parents were still gone because they decided to make a vacation out of their visit when Eva's cousin got really sick and they had to stay a few extra days.
