Futuristic Those That are Hunted

"For fucks sake. Are you going to come quietly or not? Both of you have power restricting cuffs on so how do you expect to win?" Hugo immediately regretted saying that as he remembered the cuffs didn't work on Tucker as he needed a whole suit. He used the illusion of sound to change the last part of what he said to "You will have plenty of time to gather thoughts while you are in your cell." Hugo then had another idea. Hugo used the illusion of sound to talk with Ritcher in secret "Summon a sword or something in my hand and they will think its fake."

Tucker frowned at the odd speaking he heard from the agent who was an illusionist according to Kytha. He was definitely modifying what he was saying. Tucker could hear it through hate vibrations of sound in the air and knew that he was saying other things while changing what they were actually saying. Regardless, Tucker couldn't decipher what he was saying exactly. He knew instantly that this was a very dangerous agent though. Narrowing his eyes at the agent, Tucker gently pushed Kytha to the side so he could step forward before he confidently said, "You have no right to move me back to my cell after I just woke up from my coma. It's a medical necessity for the medical personnel to run tests on me to make sure I'm all good to go." Tucker was only assuming this was correct, but he figured that any proper hospital or medical bay would have regulations to follow. Nobody knew he was gong to wake up, so he could only assume the agents were here for Kytha, not him. Voicing this, Tucker said, "I doubt you're even here for me since I doubt anyone knew I was waking up. You haven't been given any orders to take me to my cell. Therefore, you can't do that." Adding in a lower tone, Tucker said, "Plus, I haven't attacked either of you." Minor details that the doctor had been socked by Tucker the moment he'd tried to separate Tucker from Kytha, but he had already left the room in a flushed and embarrassed manner. Still, that had been self-defense more than anything else.

Tucker was confused at first, as he cocked his head before asking the agent who spoke last, "Aren't we already in the medical bay? All of my equipment is here so why would we need to go anywhere else?" Not liking the sound of the 'Kytha situation', Tucker then shifted his head back to its normal position before crossing his arms over his bare chest. Frowning now, Tucker then said, "I want Kytha to stay here with me while they make sure I'm okay. Honestly, you two can guard the room or something, but I want her to stay by my side. I just woke up from a coma, which might I remind you, I wasn't supposed to wake up at all. I'd rather have some company for comfort. Is that seriously too much to ask for?"

Hugo frowned when he heard his idea wouldn't work. "I'm sorry but I wouldn't of cared if you died on that table and you are not the boss of us. We need Kytha now!" Hugo demanded as the whole room got noticeably darker. Hugo don't lose your temper.. Sorry..Sorry I think having you come out recently is having some negative affects on me. Oh ok, Of course blame it all on me why don't you!

When the lighting of the room dimmed, Tucker narrowed his eyes at the illusionist, not at all trusting him with the way he was acting. Standing in front of Kytha, Tucker said menacingly, "I could have ran both Kytha and myself out of this room in a flash without either of you being able to stop me, but I haven't because I'm trying to avoid any confrontations right now." Eyeing the illusionist warily, Tucker then added, "Honestly, let the medical personnel look me over and let Kytha stay with me. It'll only take, like, ten minutes." Tucker could already tell with how the agents were reacting that Kytha had done something bad, though that wasn't much of a surprise to her. He mostly just wanted to have some time alone with her before he was sent back to his cell. It then suddenly occurred to Tucker that neither of the agents had called up Ms. Glass yet, as she was called by nearly everyone here. Smirking slightly now, Tucker then said to the illusionist, "You know, I haven't seen you call up to higher to tell them that I've woken up. Surely they'd want to know something like that, right? I doubt Ms. Glass would be pleased to find out that you two had been holding me back from getting medical attention. Plus, Kytha just recovered from some injuries herself. She can rest in a chair beside me until I'm all clear to go."

Hugo was not pleased that he didn't give Kytha up. Turning to Richter as he hadn't inputted to the conversation for a bit Hugo said "What do you think? Let them stay for ten minutes at most?"

"I do get it Vulcan! Ok? I get it! But there has to be a reason why. Some mistake they made. No one has made it out of there. Alpha said something went wrong in the medical bay. He must have triced them into taking off his cuffs or something." Amelie refused to believe that someone could escape Cataracta like that so easily. Not even Hayden. Hayden was insanely strong, yes, but they managed to capture him and people who are in Cataracta are under the most intense security they had or wold be crushed by the waterfall if they managed to get out. "Guards are being stationed at the entrance and the four that the Chief sent will be standing guard outside." Amelie's wolf formed by her side. It wasn't as dense as it usually was, ice was almost clear. Amelie's hand rested on it's head and began petting it to calm down.

So many questions were in Vulcan's head right now. What had happened in that cell? How serious was it that the medical team there couldn't handle it and they needed Alpha? Why did they remove his cuffs? An inside man maybe? Someone trying to help him escape? So many questions, so little answers. But they had to worry about that later. What they had to worry about now was staying alive. But the way Amelie was acting stubborn and wouldn't listen to his suggestions, this might not turn out well. Vulcan watched her summon her wolf and pet it. he furrowed his brows just a bit at why she would summon it. He wouldn't be surprised if she had started to see him as a traitor as well. He turned around and continued walking towards the medical bay. He wanted to see Xander while he still had the chance.

Tucker finally relaxed upon hearing the agents and their consent to let him get some medical attention along with Kytha being allowed to stay with him. Looking at the two guards, Tucker then asked them, "So, which one of you is going to call Ms. Glass and inform her that I've woken?" Pausing, Tucker then added, "Also, can you two leave us alone for those ten minutes? It's not like I get any company when I'm in my cell anyhow. I'd like some time alone with the one person I can truly call a friend here." Maybe even more than just a friend, but Tucker wasn't entirely sure of his feelings yet. He feared putting all of his heart into someone who could end up leaving him at some point. This was a dangerous world and something could happen to separate the two. Tucker wasn't sure if his fragile heart could handle such a heartbreak though.

Piper soon had safely left Niagara Falls behind her. Finding a clearing in the forest that she'd been traveling through, Piper smiled widely as she began to shift from her fox form into her dragon form, growing immensely in size and easily filling the clearing and then some with her tail, which weaved through the forest behind her. Since she was tall enough to tower over the canopy, Piper was able to safely spread her wings out to their full size before she let loose an echoing roar of joy for the freedom she now had. Leaping upwards, Piper began beating her wings, as she slowly gained altitude and then began making her way to what she recalled as the nearest international airport, JFK Airport in New York City. After all, Piper had spent plenty of her time on the run as an assassin. It was only natural that she knew the major airports in the US. Continuing to gain more altitude, Piper was soon soaring through the clouds and then gliding above them. Smiling, Piper let out another roar of joy while she soared through the sky, her newfound freedom causing her heart to race with excitement. She was going to find those who had helped her and return the favor. Maybe she could even convince the agency to run a blind eye on her. Finally be free once more, but without the fear of looking over her shoulder all the time. Shifting her thoughts back to her destination, Piper presumed based on her personal calculations that it would take her about an hour, give or take. Maybe even less if the winds remained in her favor.

While waiting for the reply, Tucker suddenly realized with a start that the agent who just spoke over the radio was the one who had shot him and put him in this coma to begin with. Fury rolled over him like a raging tornado and Tucker moved his arms to his sides while he tightly clenched his fists in frustration. He wanted so badly to beat the man to the brink of death so that he could feel the unimaginable pain that Tucker had gone through thanks to him. Still, Tucker showed restraint, as he gritted his teeth and then looked away from the agent. He couldn't afford to let his emotions drive his decisions and right now, he needed to remain calm and in control of the situation.

Hugo wasn't happy with this at all first he wanted Kytha to stay now he wants to be left alone with her. "This is ridiculous, we are actually listening to a prisoner." Hugo said to Richter. Hugo then noticed Tucker getting trying to hide his anger as Hugo is very good at hiding emotions. Hugo used illusions again to communicate to Richter "Why exactly was he in a coma?" Hugo grabbed a pen and notepad off a nearby desk handing it to Richter. "Here right it."

Kytha gritted her teeth as well. This was getting on her nerves. She grabbed Tucker's wrist. Her delicate fingers held a meaning of passion and care. "Thank you." She looked at him and held onto his arm. "Protect the others. I must find and stop Hayden. Promise me you'll be strong."

Tucker could hear the distortion in the air again, a sign that the illusionist was manipulating sound again. What was he saying though? Tucker watched as the illusionist handed the gun agent a pen and notepad, obviously to discreetly discuss something. Before Tucker could question it though, Kytha had grabbed his wrist, surprising him and distracting him from the agents. Feeling Kytha's touch made Tucker's heart skip a beat, though he wasn't sure if it was the constant fear he'd grown used to after being touched only for pain to be inflicted upon him for the past six years. Kind physical touch was definitely not something that Tucker was used to yet. Hearing what Kytha said next left Tucker confused. He then whispered to her, hoping the agents wouldn't hear him, "What are you talking about? You still have those handcuffs on and the agents are right there. Just wait until they leave and then I can help you break the handcuffs off. We can escape together." Pausing Tucker then glanced out the window to see that the dome was nearly closed. They were out of time. Again. Letting out a small sigh, Tucker then whispered to Kytha, "Forget it. The dome is going to close any second now. We're too late to make any escape attempts."

Before Amelie had gone to get Vulcan she had gotten a new com. Hearing Richter talk through it saying Tucker was up, she felt her heart skip a beat. That means...maybe Xander has a good chance of waking up too! "Request granted. Just keep things calm. I don't want anything starting up. I'm on my way tot he medical bay as we speak. Giving Vul-I mean a prisoner one last visit to Xander." By the time they reached the medical bay, the dome had closed shut. Seeing Hugo there as well, she assume Kytha was here. After all she did send the two after her. Amelie went and waited in the corner of the room to let Vulcan have his alone time with Xander. She would visit the fire bender later, right now she knew Vulcan needed to see him by himself. Every time she looked at Vulcan in cuffs her heart ached. Her wolf nuzzled up against her, trying to comfort her the same way it tried to comfort Richter. Amelie's hand just rested on its head. If she wasn't so close to becoming the next chief, she probably would have ran away with Vulcan by now. She knew exactly where to go. There were placing the government didn't even bother searching because of how small the area was. Her eyes flicker towards Kytha and Tucker. She wondered what Hayden would do if he found out the woman he loved might be in love with someone else. As if they already weren't at such bad odd, those just made it worse. Her eyes laid back on Vulcan and Xander. One was her lover and the other someone she would call a close friend and soon both will be gone in her life. THat is if Xander doesn't wake up. Amelie wasn't worried about Tcuker and Kytha while the dome was up. Plus Hugo and Richter were in the room. Nothing bad could happen right now.

'Giving a prisoner one last visit' The words repeated themselves, echoing in his mind. It was as if he was going to an execution and that was his last wish being fulfilled. And in a way, this was exactly how it was right now. He continued walking without saying a word. What for? What could he achieve at this point? When they reached the medical labs and went up to the two patients' room, Vulcan calmly walked past the two agents. "Welcome back, Tucker." he muttered without looking at the speedster, his eyes focused on Xander's limp motionless body. He crouched next to the bed and watched his friend. This was probably the last time he saw him and he felt sharp pain in his chest seeing him like this - still in bandages, the wounds still not completely healed, all the tubes attached to different parts of his body. His eyes were watering but he wouldn't let the tears flow. He wanted to say something but he didn't know what. There was so much and at the same time nothing to talk about. He wasn't even sure the other could hear him. And what would he hold of him now? He would probably be disappointed, just like everybody else. Vulcan felt a desire to hold his hand but, seeing the remaining scratches covering it, he didn't even try to. Instead, he crossed his arms under his chin and watched him, memorizing him, trying to imagine him all healed and awake now, his ever so bright smile. He wished he could take his place for Xander didn't deserve this. Of all the people, he was the one to least deserve being in this deadly condition. Not that everyone else wasn't exposed to the same danger but only of a different kind. In fact, one could almost say it was better that way. Xander wouldn't have to witness all the horrors that were yet to come.

Xander silently followed Vulcan and Amelie back to the medical bay, hearing that Hayden was on a rampage again. This made Xander's heart race with fear for his friends and for himself. He was unconscious and completely unable to defend himself if Hayden were crazy enough to get in here and figure out that Xander was the firebender from before. Xander didn't even want to think about the destruction that would unfold if Hayden were to get inside. Seeing that the dome had closed securely now though, Xander already felt himself a bit more at ease, though he still felt very tense. Upon reentering the bay, Xander was surprised to see Tucker standing beside Kytha along with Richter and some new agent who he didn't recognize. Shifting his gaze back to Vulcan, Xander felt his heart skip a beat upon seeing Vulcan sitting by his side. Walking up to Vulcan's shoulder, the same one he had touched time before, Xander looked down at Vulcan and could see the unshed tears. How was it that Xander could cause so much pain without being physically present? Finding Vulcan's pain to be overwhelming, Xander took a deep breath and despite knowing he'd wake to an immense amount of pain, Xander decided that he could no longer stand idly by and watch Vulcan suffer like this. Especially with this potentially being his last chance to see Vulcan. Putting his hand on Vulcan's shoulder first, Xander smiled warmly down at Vulcan and said, "I'm not going anywhere, wolfman." Xander then removed his hand from Vulcan's shoulder and climbed onto his bed before assuming the exact position his unconscious body was sleeping in. There was a bright flash and Xander felt darkness overwhelming him once more.

Vulcan once again felt the shiver on his shoulder. He lifted up his head from his arms and looked first at his shoulder, then back at Xander. "That's you, isn't it?" he asked, his voice only a raspy whisper. But how? He wasn't dead. His spirit wasn't supposed to be wandering around. Or maybe it was. Maybe being in coma enabled them to enter the spirit realm, have a test ride of what it's like to be dead but unresting... "Xander, you can fight this. You can return to us..." he whispered and found himself gripping the sheets. "Don't give up. As tempting as it may seem. You are better than this, buddy. You never gave up." he said a bit louder now. "We need you..." he whispered again and quickly wiped the tears away with his sleeve as he felt them slowly running down his cheeks.

His mind was swimming in the darkness, but his decision had been made. With a shuddering breath, Xander returned to the brink of consciousness. Slowly, he opened his eyes, blinking in the bright lighting above him. Shifting his gaze down and to the side to see Vulcan wiping the tears from his face. Wincing at the pain from the cuts covering his body, Xander took a deep breath and then said in a pained and soft tone, "Damn, Vulcan. When did you become so soft?" Attempting to grin teasingly after saying this, Xander ended up grimacing due to the pain from his wounds. Close enough.

When Vulcan suddenly heard the wincing caused by pain, he immediately brought his arm back down and stared at his friend, his brother, with wide eyes, his mouth slightly open. Vulcan wasn't one bit surprised the first words he heard from his would be joking him. He smiled at his attempt to grin. It was more than enough. The fat ct that he was alive and awake was enough. "Welcome back, you fuckin bastard." hereturned the tease and if it weren't for the wounds he would now bump him to the arm. "We missed you." he said in a now softer voice.

Xander smirked at Vulcan's response and was about to raise his hand to punch Vulcan in response, but had failed to remember his vast injuries. Xander's eyes widened in an instant and he gasped before he could even get his arm a few inches off the topside of the sheets. Cursing under his breath and feeling his mind swimming in pain, Xander barely heard Vulcan's second statement. Closing his eyes for a moment, Xander then opened them again and said in his temporarily pained tone, "I missed you too." Pausing to take a breath, Xander then asked Vulcan, "So, how do I look?" Xander was about to attempt to grin again, but remembering how awful that had worked out last time, he decided against it. He could only imagine that his body was riddled with deep cuts from what he was feeling. Sutured or not, they all still immensely caused Xander quite a bit of pain. His heart monitor spiked every time that Xander felt the pain, which was pretty much every ten seconds or so.

Hearing a heart monitor go crazy, Amelie's attention snapped up from her wolf to Xander's bed. He was the only one still attatched to the machine after. There was a huge smile on her face when she saw Xander's lips moving. She started to head over to the bed but stopped. Vulcan deserved a lone time with him. She would be able to visit whenever she wanted to check up on him but Vulcan wouldnt. At the she moved her self back up against the wall and waited.

Vulcan thought about his answer to a bit looking him over from head to... whatever wasn't covered by the sheets. "You look... awesome..." he said and scratched the back of his head. He noticed the help button used to call a nurse and pressed it. Maybe there was something they could do to get him... fixed. And definitely give him some additional painkillers. He couldn't watch him suffer like this.

Xander chuckled at Vulcan's response before abruptly stopping and letting out a low groan at the pain from the cuts. Taking a deep breath, Xander then said, "You always were a terrible liar." Seeing Vulcan calling a nurse to his aid, Xander was about to complain and say that he was fine, but decided against it since he didn't want to try and argue in his current state. It'd be a losing battle no matter what. Seeing Amelie standing by a wall further away in the room, Xander then shifted his gaze back to Vulcan and softly asked him, "Vulcan, what did you do to get yourself in trouble?"

"You've been stalking me now or what?" he asked and tilted his head a bit. "Well, I guess it can't get any worse than this." he said and let out a small sigh. "I tried to restore the rebellion. Additionally got Kytha out of solitary as you can clearly see." he said quietly, mentioning to the ones sharing the room with them currently. "Am kinda accused of treason." he added and lifted his handcuffed hamds up a bit before letting them down again.

Xander grimaced and then said, "Well, what else was I going to do while roaming around as some weird spirit thing? It's not like there's any great girls to check out here...at least, free ones." Hearing what Vulcan had done though, Xander was surprised and taken aback. He wasn't even sure how to respond. In this moment though, a nurse had entered the room and weaved her way around the groups before arriving at Xander's side, opposite of where Vulcan was. She then pulled out one of the Therian healing serums and carefully injected it into Xander's forearm while doing her best to avoid the cuts all along his arm. Setting the empty needle to the side, the nurse then said calmly to Vulcan, "Once you're done visiting, we'll need to take Agent Xander to a more..." The nurse glanced around the room and then finished, saying, "...private area. We'll need to stitch up his remaining injuries and then bandage him up. Now that he is no longer sleeping, we need to treat his wounds accordingly." The nurse then left the room while Xander frowned slightly at the idea of undergoing a ton of stitching and then having bandages wrapped over his numerous cuts. The idea wasn't exactly encouraging. Shifting his attention back to Vulcan, Xander then said softly, "Mate, how is it that you manage to always drag trouble around with you wherever you go?"
