Futuristic Those That are Hunted

Xander was startled when Vulcan finally woke up from whatever sedatives they had probably used on him. Xander pushed himself up into a standing position, at the opposite end of the small cell as Vulcan. Watching him react angrily, Xander felt a pang in his heart, wishing he could try to comfort or help his friend. Upon seeing the pain the handcuffs caused on Vulcan, Xander was furious, though he knew he could do nothing about it. Once vulcan was down and sitting against the wall in a calmer manner, Xander walked over to his friend's side and then sat down before putting a hand on Vulcan's shoulder. Even if Vulcan didn't know he was there, Xander would still keep him company and try to let him now that he wasn't alone. After all, Xander wanted to leave the agency probably just as badly as Vulcan appeared to want to. Xander just wanted to see his Celeste again...and to see his child for the first time. He'd kept the child a secret from the agency all these years. They knew about his wife, Celeste, but they didn't know about her Gift and Xander was going to keep it that way. After Xander convinced the agency over the years that he was a faithful agent, they left Celeste alone and didn't bother threatening her or anything. As long as Xander continued to peacefully work for the agency, they would bring no harm to Celeste or his child.

There was again that shiver coming from his shoulder. Vulcan reached over and scratched at the spot. He thought it was just his body still reacting to the electrical shocks he had experienced a few moments ago. But... it was the very same shoulder and the very same sensation as when he was leaving Amelie's room. Was he getting fleas now or something? He held nothing of it as it didn't matter much at that point anyways. His life would come to an end in just a couple of hours or days at most and an itchy shoulder was the least of his problems. He leaned his head on the wall and closed his eyes, trying to clear his mind and think of the good memories, as few as they were. He thought of their trio. They hadn't gone out over a drink the way normal buddies did and yet they were so close, always relying on each other. And now they were torn apart. He remembered the time when they first met Xander - in the back of the gas station, at the shooting range. Vulcan had threatened and snapped at him then but he kept so calm, grinning, mocking him. He hasn't changed much. Xander always carried that huge rucksack on your back. He said he loved the outdoors and to travel, to sleep in the open. They didn't get to go trekking much. Once to be precise and that was to capture the rebellions. He remembered when Piper bucked the bender off, how he stood up and was covered in spider webs. Vulcan missed him so much. He only wanted to see him again. One last time before he went. But... only memories remained... A small tear ran down his cheek so he quickly wiped it away with his sleeve, letting his hand drop to the side once more.

Kytha awoke still laying there. She began to crawl to the medical Bay once again. She saw the two agents as she reached the door and hid around a corner just in time. When she saw them walk off, she stood up and sprinted through the doors to Tucker's body having a seizure. "Tucker! No!!" Her scream echoed. "Nurse! Doctor! SOMEONE!" She pleaded restlessly finally someone came rushing in and pulled her away from him. She had just enough time to grab the object. "Tucker please! Don't do this to me!" She continued to fight with the nurse but they sat her on a bed. "Please ma'am stay still you need treatment." Kytha sobbed but sat down. Kytha hadn't fully gone back. Her organs were all crushing one another. They changed kythas cuffs and everything started feeling normal again. She had tears in her arm and stomach from the change which were cleaned and stitched up. She was given painkillers as well. Once done she turned to the nurse. "Can you help Tucker?" "I'm afraid only he can now." Kytha let out a sob and walked to his bed. She grabbed his hand and held it in hers. "Tucker don't leave me. Your the first person who could make me give you a real hug. Please I need you and not for your gift, for you."

As Tucker began to take another step towards the light in the wall, he froze, surprised by someone's sudden appearance. Turning away from the light, Tucker was even more surprised to see Kytha screaming at his convulsing body. He was torn in two, but felt his heart breaking at the sight of how much pain he was putting Kytha through by his decision. Was it really his right to free himself from his own pain just to leave her to suffer alone? To suffer just like he had for the past six years? Feeling silent tears rolling down his face, Tucker began stepping away from the light behind him, which then blinked and disappeared. Walking to Kytha's side, Tucker looked down at her since he was about a foot or two taller than her. Seeing her hurt so badly by his desire to leave the world behind had brought Tucker back from the brink of death itself. No matter how great the decision to leave it all behind seemed, Tucker couldn't bring himself to hurt Kytha. Not after what she had done for him. Even the small conversations they'd shared had brightened Tucker's day, despite most of them being one-sided since Kytha didn't speak with Tucker for the first few days when they were locked up together. Hearing Kytha's words, Tucker furrowed his brows and then closed his eyes upon hearing her last statement. She was the first person who had told him such a thing in six years. He'd been to hell and back, yet someone still cared about him out in that hellish world. It was worth it.

In a flash, Tucker felt himself disappear, only to feel cloth under and around him. What was going on? His eyes were still closed, but he could feel someone holding his hand. Kytha? Tucker let out a low groan, his body had stopped convulsing at this point. Slowly, Tucker opened his eyes, blinking in the harsh lighting that seemingly threatened to blind him from above. Turning his head to the side, Tucker blushed slightly at the sight of Kytha holding his hand. Gingerly smiling, Tucker then said to her in a raspy tone, "I need you too, Kytha." Suddenly, a nurse bolted out of the room while calling out for someone to contact Ms. Glass and to tell her that Tucker had woken up. In a flash, a doctor arrived in the room and slapped a power-restricting handcuff on both of Tucker's wrists, pulling his hand out of Kytha's grasp. Tucker lurched up, causing the sheet covering him to drift down to only cover up his legs, and punched the doctor straight in the jaw for pulling his hand out of Kytha's and the doctor dropped to the ground, dazed from the heavy blow. Tucker then began yanking everything off of himself and pulled out the IV that had kept him going while he was in the coma. Once he was done, Tucker shifted his gaze back to Kytha, not aware at the moment that he only had on a pair of pants.

While they were searching Hugo heard a scream coming from behind him at the medical bay. Hugo turned to Richter and said quickly. "That's Kytha's voice." Before quickly running into the medical bay. Upon seeing that Kytha had the cuffs on and that she didn't seem violent only distraught. Hugo leaned against the door frame so he could hopefully take Kytha quietly when she tried to leave. He dialed Amelie's number and said. "We have found Kytha what do you want us to do with her?" After their conversation Hugo looked at Tucker. was he waking up? When Tucker punched the doctor Hugo slowly walked up to the pair. They both have the cuffs on so they probably won't try to fight. Never be too careful you know you would.

Everything happened so quickly. When the doctor fell, Kytha looked at him. She blushed at the sight of his half naked body. He looked at tucker and hugged him tightly. "I'm so glad you're safe. I don't know what would've happened if I lost you." At this point all 5 items were stashed in her boot. "Don't ever do that to me again ok?" A hint of laughter in her voice. She looked at him then nuzzled his chest again. The way a puppy would.

When she smelt and heard the agent age swirled around in a. Protective stance in front of Tucker. She snarled bitterly at him. "Touch either of us and your good as gone!" Her voice harsh and commanding.

Tucker heard someone approaching Kytha and himself, but was distracted by Kytha before he could look to see who it was. Surprised by Kytha's sudden hug, Tucker didn't hug her back right away and was frozen with shock. It quickly disappeared though and he had a stupid grin on his face before he hugged Kytha back, feeling his heart warming and mending itself from the hug alone. Tucker wasn't entirely sure if Kytha could understand how much he had gone through all of those years, but from what he'd seen between her argument with that wolf agent, she clearly had been through a lot as well. Hearing what Kytha said, Tucker felt a tear roll down his face and quickly wiped it away before it was seen. Feeling Kytha nuzzling against his chest, Tucker blushed, unsure of how to react to such a thing. Finally finding his words again, Tucker replied in a softer and warmer tone, "I'm not going anywhere, Kytha." He was distracted though when Kytha suddenly stopped hugging him and now stood in a protective stance in front of Tucker and herself. Tucker took a look at the agent and knew that this was going to go downhill fast if they didn't let the agent at least think that he had them. Brushing the sheet off of himself, Tucker swung his legs over the edge of the cot and then stood up behind Kytha, slightly towering over her. Putting his hand on Kytha's shoulder in a silent attempt to calm her, Tucker then said to the agent in a strained voice, "She didn't mean that. We won't fight back, I promise." Tucker could only hope that Kytha understood what he was trying to do here. After all, neither Kytha nor himself knew what this agent was capable of doing.

(well looks like hayden has some competition xD Ill have Amelie head to the medical bay after she gets Vulcan )

By the time the plane landed, Rosalyn was awake. She hadn't moved the whole flight. All she did was try and listen, but because of the cuffs, eye contact was needed to read their minds and she wasn't getting any. They mus have told them. But luck was on her side today. After they lead her off the plan, one made contact with her. So thats their plan eh? They were foolish for thinking she didn't know how to fight, with a gift like hers, she needed to,she didn't have a gift to fight from a distance. Rosalyn waited for the right moment to strike. As soon as one opened the door for her and pushed her head down, she moved fast and elbowed him in the stomach. As he doubled over in pain she reached down to grab his tranq gun shooting him in the thigh. By the time she came back up and pointed the gun at the other guard he had one pointed at her. "Put the gun down." The man said. Rosalyn smirked. He had eye contact with her and she could read his every thought. She could stand here all day.

Amelie's phone made a beeping noise, signally she got a text. Opening it she froze, her wolf that was almost at the medical bay shattered. She ran over to the desk and shoved the receptionist aside. Typing in a code she pressed enter, and the creaking noise of the dome coming up started. "Hayden is here. I need the strongest GA's at the entrance! He is not getting in here!" The guards ran off after that. "Um, Ms. Glass, agent Vulcan is awake." Amelie looked down at the receptionist. It would take a while for the dome to go up, she just hoped Hayden was at the civilian airport and not here. Yes more casualties would be made but she didn't want him here. The receptionist cowered away. Amelie walked away, heading towards solitary. IT didn't take long to get there, per usual. She walked up to the room Vulcan was in and paused looking at him through the window. She had to compose herself. She wasn't going to tell Vulcan that Hayden was here in the country for he would probably do something stupid again. She lifted her watch up to the door so it would get scanned. It flashed green and the door open, she walked inside and the door closed behind her. "Have you calmed down?"

Alpha was hurt that Piper didn't trust her, but she couldn't blame the girl. She opened the message Alec sent her on her watched and showed the hologram to Piper. "I am just a healer Piper. I can't fight, i don't carry weapons or cuffs. I just heal people. It is my job."

The shadowy figure that was the chief looked up at Larassa, only his green eyes were visible. "Good. What did she say?"

(Sorry I picture the chief being this mysterious figure that no one really knows what he looks like except the leaders of the other countries.)

kytha whimpered at what tucker said she still stood protectively but wasnt snarling anymore she wanted to keep him safe. She failed with all the others. She wasnt going to fail again. her heart yearned to just tear everyone apart that came near her and Tucker. The want showed clearly in her eyes and she stole a glance at Tucker. I dont want you to get hurt. The passion she had was strong. What would she do if Hayden appeared and saw this. She loved Hayden, but now she loved Tucker too. what am I going to do.

When Vulcan heard the door being opened, he opened his eyes again and looked towards it. He didn't expect anyone else than Amelie at this moment and his expectations were met. "As calm as I can get." he muttered the answer to her question.

Piper eyed Alpha warily, but stole a glance at Alec's message on the girl's watch through its hologram. She wasn't lying at least. Gritting her teeth, Piper didn't make any moves toward Alpha, but she nodded and then said, "Very well. Let's get it over with then." She then carefully watched Alpha for any possible moves that could bring harm to Piper. Child or not, Piper was more than ready to knock her out if it came to it.

Larassa remained calm despite only being able to see the Chief's green eyes in the dim lighting. She could've easily shifted and used her enhanced Therian vision to see him, but he was an extremely dangerous man and the last thing Larassa wanted to do was get herself killed over such a small matter. Intertwining her hands behind her back, Larassa then said, "Sir, the prisoner's name is Rosalyn Frey, daughter of Israel's Prime Minister and sister to Alpha. She has the Gift of telepathy and despite having the power-restricting handcuffs on, she can still use the gift. We'll need a special kind of suit for her, much like the one we used on Tucker. She also spoke of a rebellion that Israel was supposedly going to take the lead in starting, though it sounds like it already has many followers to back it up. She told me that they have a Gifted among their ranks that can disrupt all Gifts within ten meters of him or herself. Other than that Gifted, they have the usual among their ranks." Stopping at this point, Larassa waited for the Chief's response while she thought back to the interrogation, trying to remember if she had missed anything.

Tucker felt Kytha looking at him and stole a glance at her before wincing at what he saw in her eyes. He could see that she was angry and yet that she was also desperate, but for what? To protect him? To attack the agent in front of them out of anger? Tucker wasn't sure, but he guessed it was probably the former. Still, they needed to wait for the agent's reaction to what they had said and done so far. They still had no idea what this agent could do to them.

Amelie stayed put. She was afraid if she moved closer, he would move away and she didn't want to know of her did. "I'm allowing you one last visit to see Xander. I would allow you more but....I can't show favoritism."

Alpha carefully placed her hands on her wings, slowly healing one wing at a time. It took some time but eventually it was done and she pulled away. "I can help you get out if you wish. I owe you that."

At this information the chief's eyes went wide and he grinned. "Perfect. You are definitely the best at what you do. You will be rewarded well." The chief took a moment to think. If the Israelis have a gifted that can neutralize others it will also neutralize their own. So we just need to send out top non gifted combatants against him. "You are dismissed. You can head back to the Germany HQ. Rumor has it that the escapee from Cataracta Institute will be heading there and I don't know when they will be putting their defenses up. You can take the private jet if you wish."

Vulcan nodded a bit and stood up, still pressing his back onto the wall. It was uncomfortably tight in the room now with a second person in it, even if it was Amelie. They were basically no more than two arms lengths from one another. "Will probably be the last time I lay eyes on him so that would be a Yes." he muttered and waited for her to open the door and lead the way or let him lead the way for that matter. She couldn't allow herself to have a dangerous agent gone rogue behind her back after all.

Piper flinched each time Alpha touched her wings, but felt immense relief when they were finally normal again. Sadly, this meant that the handcuffs could suppress them and sure enough, her wings soon shifted away and were no longer present. Looking down at Alpha, Piper nodded and then said, "Sounds good to me, but I want these handcuffs off. I can shift into any animal I so desire. I can easily hide myself somewhere on you to keep others unaware of my presence."

Larassa kept a stoic appearance, but was inwardly pleased to see the Chief satisfied with her work. She had proven herself those many years ago when she'd been a part of the team that had kidnapped Alpha. When the mission had been so successful, Larassa had instantly become one of the Chief's favorites in a sense. When she was dismissed, Larassa nodded at the Chief and then said, "Yes, sir. I will head out at once." Turning on her heel, Larassa exited the office and then weaved through the building until she was at the landing strip for the private jet. Boarding at once with her assault pack on her back, Larassa peered out of one of the jet's windows to see two workers loading her motorcycle into the back of the jet to travel back with her. Hopefully she wasn't too late in returning.

Amelie ran her watch over the scanner and the door opened. "You now if I could do anything I would." Since the camera was completely broken, Amelie knew people wouldn't be able to hear their conversation. "Now come." She walked out the door and moved aside for him to get ahead of her. "Lets go see Xander." (We should continue VUlcan going to see Xander after Richter gets there)

Alpha smiled at Piper. "Now that is something I carry on me." She pulled a key out of her pocket and unlocked Piper's cuffs. "You know if Alec didn't tell e what you did for sissy, you would still be stuck in you cell. Hopefully you get to me him one day. I haven't but I have heard a lot about him." The cuffs fell to the floor. "Can you shift into a fox? Sissy would make one out of ice for me but I can't take it too far from her or it would shatter."

The moment the handcuffs fell from Piper's wrists, her ears shifted into fox ears and then her fox tail made its appearance, which required Piper to quickly tear a small hole on the back of her prisoner uniform so that it could comfortably stick out. Thinking about Alec after what Alpha said about him, Piper decided thst she'd request to meet the guy once she was able to contact Amelie and once whatever was going on calmed down a bit. Hearing Alpha's request, Piper smirked and then said, "That's an easy one for me. I've been a fox more than any other kind of animal. It's kind of a curse now, actually." After saying this, Piper then shifted, becoming a red fox with white socks on her paws and a white tip on her tail. Her ears had white tips from the front snd then black tips from the backside. In her animal form, Piper couldn't hide the few jagged scars lining her shoulder blades and her chest. Professional assassin or not, everyone made a mistake at one point or another. Each one of her scars were a result of Piper making a mistake at some point in her life.

"I don't ask you to." he muttered as he walked past her and headed down the hallway. When they reached the open, he looked away for a moment, his eyes shut tight. The sudden light was blinding him. He had spend too much time in almost complete darkness and it took his pupils a moment to adjust. Then he saw and heard the shield rising. It had almost completely come up but the sun was still shining through. "He's here?" he asked quietly and looked back at her, although he already knew the answer. Why else would it be up. Kytha wasn't in a condition to do much at this point so there was no other explanation.

Amelie wasn't liking this side of Vulcan. It felt like everything they went through never happened. "You don't have to. I love you Vulcan and want nothing more than to take those cuffs off of you, but you put me in a position I never wanted to be in." Hearing his comment she looked out the window and saw the dome almost up. "He will be soon. I know he's jn the country but don't know where."

Alpha squealed at how cute Piper ' fox form was, even with the scars. She picked her up and held her against her chest. "You're so cute" She smiled and headed down the Isle that lead to the front office. She was stopped by the secretary up front. "I'm sorry Alpha, but you don't have permission to leave." Alpha pouted and then tears welled up in her eyes. "B-but I just nuture this fox back to health and want to let it go." The secretory sighed and her face softened. "You always care abo it other before your self. Unfortunently the main boat hasn't returned yet. There is a spare but no gifted to shield the pounding water from you." Alpha sighed. "Can I just go out for a moment then? Let it use the bathroom?" The secretary nodded and the door leading to the docks opened up. "Just be quick." Alpha smiled and thanked the woman before heading out the door. When she was out of hearing range she stopped and put Piper down. "Unfortunently what she said is true. If you can transform into something that breath under water you can take this river outside. Otherwise you're stuck."

Vulcan ignored her comment the best he could. It hurt him to be like this - so emotionless, as if he didn't even know her. But this wasn't his concern right now. Those things could be fixed but not if they were all dead. His plan has failed. He hadn't managed to get out of the facility to lead Hayden to him, away from everyone else. And what would be the point anyways. It wasn't like he would just give up after his death. "Your agents won't be enough, Amelie. And there are humans among them as well, non-gifted. You don't stand a chance, especially as we are trapped inside the dome now. How long do you think it will hold, hmm? An hour? Maybe even less? We need all the help we can get. Do you understand what I mean?" he said and turned around to look her straight in the eyes. They needed the prisoners - all gifted and hundreds in numbers. Then they might just survive what was coming.

Her eyes narrowed. "Are you questioning the defense of this facility? That dome prevents anyone from getting in and out. If he can penetrate that, then kudos to him Ill give him the whole damn facility." Amelie hated having her strength questioned. She knew that she didn't stand a chance against him but the dome was one of the best defenses they had. "And it's better than being stuc out there with him. At least here we can build our defenses. I'd rather have the defensive position."

"Ya, we thought Cataracta was the most secure prison in the world as well. It managed to contain him for.. how long has it been... two weeks?" he said sarcastically. "Don't you get it? He isn't coming for the facility. He's coming for us and Kytha." he said in an angry voice. He was scared, just like everybody else. Not so much for his own life but for witnessing the death of all the people that were dear to him. Hayden hated him so much it seems he might as well let him watch. The pleasure of defeating an enemy was to break his spirit, then end what was left of his miserable life. Hayden knew that.

"What he said." Hugo said to Kytha and Tucker. Hugo noticed that Richter was hiding his stitched wrist. I guess I need to start to mend the relationship so he wont tell. Hugo made it so it appeared that nothing happened to Richter's wrist. At least it wouldn't give the hint that he was injured to the prisoners in front of them. Hugo slightly nudged Richter saying quietly. "Look at your wrist."

kythas hearing allowed her to hear what the man said. she turned to tucker saying almost inaudibly, "ones injured. i think the other is an illusionist."

Piper suppressed a growl when Alpha picked her up and treated her like an actual fox. The kid was a phenomenal actor though, Piper would give her that. Once they were safely outside and Piper was set down, she stood up and then walked over to the water's edge before shifting into a sea lion. Barking at Alpha as her way of saying thanks for everything, Piper then slipped into the water and gracefully swam through the water a bit while getting properly accustomed with her new form. She hadn't been a sea animal in a while. Once comfortable with it, Piper then jumped out of the water a few times before swiftly swimming along the river. She soon found herself at the waterfalls, diving to the deepest part of the river, Piper then was able to safely swim under and then outside. Once outside, Piper swam through the lake and stayed deep under to remain unnoticed. Once she got to the shore, she shifted into her fox form and then shook like a dog to rid herself of most of the water clinging to her skin and fur. Sprinting away, Piper realized that she'd need fo get herself oriented soon so that she could make her way to wherever the agents were now. She also needed to find whoever it was who had managed to cause such a commotion earlier. Perhaps she should've asked some more questions before rushing off so quickly.

Tucker narrowed his eyes at the two agents, but kept his hand firmly on Kytha's shoulder. The last thing they needed was a fight to break out. Looking between the two agents, Tucker then said confidently, "Can you just give me some time to gather my thoughts? I did just wake up from a coma after all." Pausing, Tucker then added, "I'd like it if Kytha could stay with me as well." He was trying really hard to keep himself calm despite wanting to lash out at the agents more than anything right now. Yet, hearing what Kytha said, Tucker knew the odds were in their favor to attack them, but they would require the element of surprise. Whispering back to Kytha while trying to keep it from looking like he was speaking at all, Tucker said softly, "Not yet. We can't let them raise the alarms if we rush them now."
