Futuristic Those That are Hunted

Xander was dismayed when Vulcan hardly reacted to his exclamation or touch. Disheartened by this, Xander stood there and watched as his best friend walked away from him. This was so pointless. How was he going to wake himself up? There had to be some way to do it, but Xander didn't know how. He really just wanted to help his friends out, but Celeste kept coming to his mind...

In a blink, Xander found himself in the middle of an airport with people swarming around him to get to their flights and wherever they're rushing to go to. Feeling someone's touch on his arm, Xander shifted his gaze to his side to see Celeste clinging to him. It was time for Xander to board his flight. That meant it was also time for Xander to say goodbye. Yet, seeing Celeste's red eyes, puffy from recent crying...it broke Xander's heart. He'd been discovered with his fire gift a couple of weeks ago. After being kidnapped from work, Xander then had been presented with his options and chosen. He was going to the Academy. That meant that he had to say farewell to his one true love, Celeste. They'd been together for ten years. Grown up in Australia together. So many memories and now Xander had to unwillingly leave it all behind. Just as the final call for boarding was said over the speakerphone, Celeste kissed Xander on the lips and then whispered in his ear, "I'm pregnant." Then an agent came off the plane and saw Xander standing there with Celeste. Xander was completely surprised and at a loss for words upon hearing what Celeste said. Yet, before he could respond, the agent was grabbing his arm and dragging him onto the plane. Desperate, Xander dug in his heels to stop himself from being taken away from Celeste, who was sobbing and hugging herself now. Suddenly, Xander felt a wave of calmness washing over him. Looking at his shoulder, Xander saw that the agent had jabbed a needle of something into him. The last thing Xander saw was Celeste's tear-stained face and her mouthing the words, 'Don't leave me.' Then...darkness.

Tucker had been staring at Kytha in her cell for a minute or two now. He sensed thst she had no idea he was standing there, so he hadn't bothered saying anything. He couldn't help but admire how strong and yet beautiful she was. Maybe it wasn't his place since he had no idea if she already had some guy in her life, but still. She'd been the first gifted prisoner who Tucker had been able to speak with since his last attempt to damage his suit. This time had been so successful, but that wolf agent had distracted Tucker from the big picture of escaping. Now Tucker was back to square one and the scientists no doubt wanted to dissect him or something after seeing the display of Tucker's gift at its full strength. Problem was, Tucker didn't get enough food here to keep up with his gift, which had ruined his escape attempt. Sighing, Tucker then looked up sharply at the sound of someone approaching. Seeing the wolf agent, Tucker narrowed his eyes, but stayed back since he could tell that the agent couldn't see him either. Once the agent unlocked Kytha's cell though, Tucker slipped inside and then turned to face the agent. Hearing the agent addressingn Kytha, Tucker instantly became defensive of whatever the agent had planned for her and swiftly threw a hard uppercut at the wolf agent's chin in hopes of dazing him and helping Kytha out.

The man didn't look Larassa in the eyes. "We have captured an Israeli spy. We don't know how she got in. We have the power restricting cuffs on her. The chief told us how good you are at your job so she shouldn't be a problem." He said in a deep voice. "We need to know how much she knows." The man then opened the door to reveal a woman in a 20s, with light blonde hair, simular to Alpha's, thst was down to her mid back and pale golden eyes. Those eyes just stared at Larassa, like she was trying to read her.

Larassa nodded at the man and entered the room, hearing the click of the lock, as the door shut behind her. Looking at the woman sitting down in one of two chairs in the room, Larassa then sat down across from her. Keeping a neutral expression despite finding the woman's sharp gaze irritating and suspicious, Larassa then calmly asked her, "Do you smoke?" Larassa then took out her cigarette pack and pulled out a cigarette before offering it to the woman across from her.

The woman's eyes followed Larassa. When said person offered a cigarette she made a disgusted look. "Cigarettes are meant for people who do not care about their body." You could hear the Israeli accent in her voice. It wasn't strong but it was clearly still there, like she has been in the states for a little while.

Larassa shrugged at this and then pulled out a lighter to light the cigarette for herself. Not that she'd ever needed one before considering her gift, but she had no idea if this spy even had a gift. They said that the power-restricting handcuffs were on the spy, but hadn't even mentioned what gift she may have. That, and she was trying to play it off as the good cop. At least, some kind of good cop. It wasn't like being the good cop was her best performance, but she was hoping the spy would be more talkative. Letting out a small puff of smoke, Larasssa then held her cigarette out to the side and said, "That's rather judgamental of you." Deciding to not linger on pointless subjects, Larassa carried on in saying, "Have you ever heard of someone having a Gift?" Watching the spy carefully, Larassa waited to see either her reaction or a subtle hint that she was lying.

The woman didn't say anything. To her the question was stupid. Many knew of the gifted people. It's the only reason the agency existed, but she didn't know how many humans knew in the states about that. ~Americans are pretty stupid.~

Larassa sighed and leaned forward slightly before holding her hand out towards the woman, her palm facing the ceiling. Raisinng an eyebrow at the woman, Larassa then summoned a small, blue flame that danced along her palm. Larassa then dismissed the flame and leaned back before saying, "Your silence clearly means that none of this is news to you. That being said, what's your gift?"

The woman leaned back, as to get away from the fire. She knew the interrogator wouldn't harm her, not yet at least. "So you just assume I have a gift? Typical of people like you, don't believe non gifted can do the same jobs as you." She scoffed.

Larassa smirked slightly at this and said, "You really are quite the judgamental person, aren't you? It's a simple question, one which you just avoided." Leaning forward on the table again, Larassa still kept her even tone as she said, "Now, I'll ask it again. What Gift do you have?" Larassa really doubted that a non-gifted had managed to weasel her way into the Pentagon of all places. If there was one thing Larassa had learned over the years, it was to always trust her gut instinct. Something felt odd in the air ever since Larassa had entered the room with this woman. She couldn't quite place it, but Larassa could only assume the oddity was originating from the spy.

The woman smirked. "Ah now what kind of fun is that?" The woman knew what kind of gifted the itnerigator was. Just because these stupid cuffs were on didn't mean she couldn't hear bits and pieces of what the gaurds were thinking. "Come now. I thought these interrogations where more fun than that." Oh did she love playing mind games, probably just as much as the woman sitting in front of her, but she had an advantage the interrogator did not.

Larassa narrowed her eyes slightly at the woman and then asked her, "Oh, really? And how would you know what they're like?" The woman had given something away by acting cocky like that. Larassa didn't know anyone who had ever survived her interrogations and been able to tell anyone else about it. The only way she would've known about how Larassa's interrogations went would be if she'd been interrlgated by Larassa herself...or she'd talked with someone in this specific area. Seeing as nobody would talk to her, perhaps the woman had a mind gift. Perhaps she managed to charm a guard into sharing details with her.

The corner of Larassa's mouth twitched in amusement at this reply. Sitting up before slowly standing beside her chair, Larassa then said, "Trust me when I say this, spy." Pausing for emphasis, Larassa then turned to face the spy while Larassa held both of her hands behind her back. Now smiling, which was not a normal expression for Larassa unless she meant misfortune upon another, Larassa then said, "I am always the first person they send...and the last." Cocking her head slightly at the spy, Larassa then said in a lower tone, "Now tell me. What is your Gift?"

The woman sighed. "Oh Larassa, I know it has been so long. I never forgot you but you seem to have forgotten me." She leaned back into her chair. 'Then again I always have had a way with staying out of sight." Images of an infant girl flashed into her mind along with the person who took her away. Then another of her father, crying at his desk, his thoughts echoing in her mind. "How could they take her."

Though Larassa didn't show it, she instantly became both confused and surprised. How did this spy know her name? Better yet, since when did Larassa know the woman? Pushing the thoughts of doubt away in an instant and mentally steeling herself, Larassa raised an eyebrow at the woman and said, "Fine. Continue dancing around my questions like this. It'll only get worse." Larassa then held up her right hand again, the blue flame dancing about once more. She then began slowly walking around the table, nearing the woman. "I've been more than polite to you already. Yet, you continue to dodge my question." Larassa stopped at the woman's side, inwardly content that the woman's wrists had both been handcuffed to the seat along with her ankles. That way Larassa wouldn't have to try and chase the woman around the room or something. Refocusing on the task at hand, Larassa then said, "Last chance, spy. What is your Gift?"

The woman rolled her eyes but seeing the flame made her worried. "People's minds are a beautiful thing, some are very quiet, others very loud. The guards are very chatty in their own ways." Her hand clenched into fists. The woman had read Larassa's file. Unlike her, the woman could feel pain. She could tolerate it to a certain extent but not the burn that she would get from the hot burn. "You are happy because my feet are chained up. Something about not being able to run? Stupid cuffs make things extremely hard." Her eyes closed shut, her head hurting from the amount of concentration it took to get that information. After a moment she opened them again and her eyes followed back to Larassa. "You aren't as chatting as everyone else."

Once again, Kytha appeared in a new scene. A forest with a large tree infront of her. The bark was soft and carved with animal faces. The leaves rustled with a warm breeze. A small chattering sound caught her attention as a rabbit crossed with a mouse appeared from the underbrush. It's voice mellow and sweet like a summers day. "Kytha. There will be a fight soon. Don't let out our information and reveal us. There is something hidden under Tucker's body. He is in a coma. Find it and it will give you its power." The little creature finished and hopped away leaving her alone for only a moment. And owl came down to greet Kytha. Her owl. It landed on the lowest branch on the large tree, just above kythas head, and began its speech. "Kytha don't be distraught. Battles come for the future, and you must pick a side. Choose your side and recruit. The war of an owl takes skill use the skill you were given by me. It is your only hope so don't let me down." And she faded to a black tunnel. Kytha now could step and heard the echoing sound. Her slow steps continued but stopped abruptly. Soon she was falling. She was falling fast. But alas, everything stopped.

She suddenly landed face first in a dark forest. Dirt and leaves in her mouth. She spat them out with an expression of disgust. "Ground tastes gross." Her voice was small. Letting out a small giggle, she stood up and brushed herself off. The forest was foggy and gloomy giving a typical horror movie setting. A lizard appeared from a shadow and crawled near Kytha. The animal slowly licked its lips, and looked at Kytha. She bent down and the creature crawled onto her hands. She lifted it and listened to its strange yet musing voice. "Human girl, a man comes to your cell bearing news and possible harm. Look for weakness or just answer to him. A small gift awaits in your boot. Use it in a good time of need. You are safe." When it stopped talking, she nodded softly and place it back on the ground. She watched the little creature scurry away and back into darkness.

A shiver goes down Kytha's spine and a large gust of wind hits her from behind knocking her over. She swivels her body to look at the beast looming over her, which is her dragon. "Kytha, I trusted you with my body so you could protect yourself. This is a disgrace. You have used it for wrong, and I don't like that. Change your ways or you won't keep it for long. Do not forget the orb." Kytha looked into her eyes and nodded. The scene once again black. Sound pushed through aswell as light "time to go." All of the eight voices echoes and she shuttered.

Kythas eyes shot open when the door opened. Seeing Vulcan enter, she growled and huffed before sitting up in a relaxed yet tense manner. She watched every move he made carefully and listened to his words. Something was happening and it probably involved her and Hayden. The lights in the dim room flickered off for a moment and Kytha let out an evil giggle. Toy with his mind. When they came back on Kytha was standing infront if Vulcan, strips of hair covering her face. "What is it pup? You awoke me. Make it quick before I have to do something about this."

A small rectangular barrier appeared in front of where the bullet would of hit Braen's head. The bullet bounced right off and flew to the side away from the pair. "Oh my powers are much more advanced from Hugo. I can actually make them take on physical qualities." Braen's voice now echoed throughout the room. he then bolted running on all fours to then jump up at Richter with his mouth gaping open ready to tear of Richter's head.

When Amelie entered the conference room almost everyone was here. ~except for two~ Amelie walked up to a male agent. "Have you seen Richter or Hugo?" The man shook hi head. She asked a few more before one said she spotted people heading to the training grounds. "Richter. Hugo. You have been ordered to the conference room. Where are you?" She asked over the com. Her wolf looked up at her and tilted it's head.

Braen tilted his head so that Richter's hand basically fell into his mouth. Braen then bit hard pretty sure he did some damage. While this happened the radio inside his watch went off but Braen completely ignored it.

Telepathy, of course! Of all the gifts for someone to have, Larassa was stuck with that one. Inwardly sighing, Larassa wondered why she couldn't have gotten a spy with the power to breathe underwater or something. That certainly would've been easier to deal with. Narrowing her eyes at the woman upon hearing that Larassa wasn't chatty like the guards, Larassa then said, "You don't want to hear my thoughts, spy. Unless you plan on driving yourself insane by hearing about the countless people I've tortured or killed." Shifting the small blue flame on her hand to where it was at the tip of her pointer finger, Larassa then began to slowly walk around the spy. "You know, I do believe you're the first Gifted who I've met with the gift of telepathy. That kind of Gift can be a dangerous game." Larassa then began to think of one particularly messy interrogation from her past in which she'd burned the man's hand to a charcoal black, killing the hand essentionally. Bringing her mind back to the present, Larassa then said calmly, "Now, spy, what is your name?"

Braen was not expecting Richter to stomp on him. It hit his left arm hard but not hard enough to break any bones. Still Braen retreated back clutching his arm a bit making a mix of a dogs wimper and a deep growl.

A dangerous game it was but the woman enjoyed them. Suddenly screams were heard. The woman knew it was all in Larassa's head. A man being burned flashed into her mind. She winced like she was in pain. Suddenly the voices were gone. "You seem to have a bad memory when it comes to people you haven't tortured." When Larassa left her line of sight her eyes narrowed. She didn't like not having eye contact with people. Made it harder to read them and with those damn cuffs on it made it even harder.

Amelie's wolf started growling when she was getting a response from either of them. GA'S moved away from them. "I swear to god boys, if I have to go out and get you it will not be fun."
