Futuristic Those That are Hunted

Seeing the tail covered in sharp spikes swirl around, ready to hit him with it, Vulcan quickly let go just as Kytha was shaking her head from one side to the other, propelling him a few meters away from her. He landed on his feet and growled, ready to charge at her again when the tail returned to its previous position.

Seeing the fireball coming to her, she attempted to make a sheild, but the way the fire melted her shards, it would have been no good. She made a little butt strong ice sheild that just barely covered her boy and she closed her eyes anticipating the fire hitting her. But it never did. Opening one eye and then the other and she saw Xander controlling the fire. She let out a sigh of relief. She had never been so happy that he was here. "Seriously don't know how much use I will be in this." Seeing the Kytha's tail going after Vulcan, Amelie held her breath. When he removed his grip on Kytha and was moved away she let it go. She didn't want to see him more hurt than he already was from Tucker's fight, but there was only so much she could do. She couldn't his her and Xander's fire could only do damage if she didn't block with the scales. Vulcan was the only one who could do damage. Her sheild shattered but Instead of falling to the ground and melting she shot them at Kytha.

Xander quickly began building up a blue fireball, increasing the damaging properties of his flames. Glancing sideways at Amelie, Xander shouted, "It might be better if you try and hunt down Tucker. You'll probably handle him better than us!" He then refocused on Kytha and sent his fireball at her face, hoping that she;d hit herself with her tail and this would distract her so she couldn't avoid his flames. Waiting in anticipation, Xander held his hands up with the palms facing Kytha, ready to dismiss his flames before they did some serious damage to her face. He really didn't want to hurt her and only wanted to get her to stop attacking them.

Meanwhile, Larassa could care less about what damage was done to Kytha, as long as the gifted didn't die since she had unique properties in being able to become this chimera type. Since Larassa was behind Kytha and obscured from everyone else's view, Larassa used this to her advantage and building up a strong lightning bolt that was mixed with her blue flames before she jumped forward and then threw her hands outwards towards Kytha's wings, aiming to use her lightning to either tear holes in the wings or to at least damage them enough to prevent Kytha from flying with them.

In the medical bay, Tucker finally felt the morphine kicking in and let out a small sigh of relief before he picked up the needle and stitching threaded into the needle. This was going to hurt like hell, but Tucker knew he was the only one who could help himself at this point. Remembering the leather belt at the last second, Tucker set the needle and thread down and then picked up the leather belt before biting into it. He then picked the needle back up and slowly and painfully began stitching up his torn arm on the topside first. Then he'd have to twist his arm around to stitch the back end. This was going to be a lot of pain to deal with. After the first two stitches were in place, Tucker took a deep breath and then kicked in his speed, finishing up the stitching process in a mere minute or two. Once he was done, he let the needle and extra thread drop to the floor, covered in blood and now sitting in a small amount of his own blood that had dripped before he'd stitched everything shut. Letting then let slip out of is mouth as well, Tucker then let out a scream of pain and anger, wanting to relieve himself though the scream only did so much. His arm would need at least a day to fully heal on its own. Looking down at his side, Tucker was relieved to see that the claw wound was slowly beginning to heal itself. At least one thing was going his way after this had all begun.

Seeing three attacks approaching her Kytha immediately took flight before raining down flames. She was hit with a shard or the shoulder, a bit of fire on her chest and that bit of lightning hit her rear dragon leg.

Once again roaring, the blue came through and the smoke covered the entire ground making walls and hiding them under a dome. The smoke it's self could suffocate them but why make it slow?

She landed on a building before sending her flames onto the smoke heating it and making a dome of fire. She felt her wings have a burning sensation along with her throat but powered through making the fire slowly enclose them. The only one who might be able to escape would be Xander.

Hugo sat bored still waiting for Tucker when his radio started blaring. Hugo quickly turned back into himself and pulled the radio to his ear so he could listen to what was happening. Is Tucker even going to come by here? Larassa should of left me a key so I could go help. I could of turned everyone invisible so Kytha wouldn't stand a chance. Turning back into Toron, Hugo went to the bars of the cage and peered down both halls. "Come on Tucker give me a fight." he said to himself.

Xander was instantly baffled when smoke engulfed the area, especially when a wall of it appeared in front of him. Putting his hand against the smoke, Xander was equally baffled by how solid the gas actually was. Frowning, he then ignited a small flame in his palm and touched it to the smoke, his eyes widening at how easily flammable it was. Recognizing the danger, Xander called out to Amelie and Vulcan, "The smoke is flammable, get away from it!"

Sure enough, he heard the flames coming from Kytha and the smoke all around him was soon burning with flames. Sprinting through the small maze, Xander desperately tried to find at least one of the other agents so he could help protect them from the onslaught.

Larassa narrowed her eyes at Kytha when she flew away, but was unable to launch another attack when she suddenly was surrounded by several solid walls of smoke, same with above herself. Frowning, Larassa began jogging through the maze to try and find another one of the agents or Kytha. Soon though, the smoke was all engulfed in flames. Larassa raised an eyebrow at this and continued jogging around, not feeling the burns beginning to blister on her skin and her fur beginning to burn in several places.

Meanwhile, back in the medical bay, Tucker took a deep breath and then grabbed the cast wrapping that he'd found earlier. He didn't think that the shifter had damaged his bone, but this would also serve as a good way to protect his already injured arm until it healed on its own. Wrapping the casting material around his forearm and hand to keep it in place, Tucker soon had a solid, black cast on his forearm and his palm, leaving his fingers to move about freely. Satisfied with his work, Tucker then pocketed the sling, deciding that he should use it later on when he could actually give his arm some rest. For now, he needed to aid Kytha in her fight.

Quickly leaving the medical bay, Tucker sprinted outside, but skidded to a halt when he saw a smoky dome in front of him that was quickly becoming engulfed in flames. Looking up at the nearby roof where the flames were coming from, Tucker saw a chimera of a creature and felt pretty safe in assuming it was Kytha. Instead of feeling remorse for whoever was trapped inside, Tucker resolved to sit back for a moment and listen for the potential deaths of any agents inside. The agents had all put Tucker through hell here one way or another and he wouldn't feel the slightest ounce of empathy or pity if any of them passed away.

Vulcan didn't know where to run or what to do. He was cowering like a frightened animal, blinded by the smoke, coughing as it entered his lungs, feeling the flames closing around him. He yelped as the flames started to burn his fur and shifted, curling up to a ball and hiding his head between his knees, arms wrapped around it, trying not to breath. The suit was fire-proof, protecting his body but his head was not covered by it. So that's the way it was supposed to be? Death by the purifying fire? Not quite the way Vulcan had imagined it but one never knew when Death would come for you.

Kytha continued raining the torrent beginning to close it more if they wanted to treat her horribly along with all the other gifted, this is what they deserved.

Seeing the raining fire Amelie knelt on the ground and the her hands up. A dome of the thickest ice she could make surrounded her. Today might be the day she will meet Vulcan's old friend, Death. If she died here and now her one regret would be not having at least one kid when she could. At that thought her ice thickened more. ~Vulcan, I hope you make it out of this.~ Having a Vulcan in this situation was technically her fault. This entire situation was because she listened to her gut that these two people at the gas station were gifted.

The fire hitting her shield is what caused her mind to come back to reality. The intense fire was causing it to melt. Of course her death would be cause by fire. As the sheild started thinning, Amelie had an idea. She could put the rest of what she had into her armor and make a run for it outside of fire. The dome shattered and the shards attatched to skin, starting to mold to her body as she rand. What were seconds felt like forever for her. It didn't take long for her to feel the intense heat on skin. She barely made it out of the fire before she screamed in pain. Her left arm wasn't on fire but it did have severe burns. The intense pain made it hard for her to think. Her Boyd was trying to use her gift to form ice on the wound to cool it down but she felt weak from the amount of energy she had to use to protect herself before. "Hugo," She coughed, some smoke still in her lings. "Is there a way for you to target someone with your gift from a distance?" More coughing. "Make her paralized?" Her mind was on over drive. She knew Xander would come out of this a lot better than anyone, but Vulcan she was really concerned about. He had nothing to make a sheild with.

Xander stopped trying to locate any of the agents, as he realized he was running out of time to get to any of them. Stopping near the center of the fiery dome, Xander took a deep breath and then spread his feet shoulder length apart. Slowly moving his hands about around him, Xander closed his eyes and then focus on the fire all around him, channeling its energy and taking control over it from Kytha. Slowly, the fire began seeping towards the center of the dome, forming into one massive fireball. Within seconds, the fire was all but gone except for the massive fireball that was now in the center of the plaza, directly above Xander's head. Opening his eyes, Xander looked up at Kytha, knowing he had to disperse the fire somewhere or he'd lose control of it and it would spread out again just like before.

Time slowed in the moment, as Xander scrambled for a decision. He could send the fireball at Kytha to stop the onslaught of fire from her, but he'd risk killing her with such power. He could throw it above everything and everyone, but then he'd risk having the fire raining down everywhere. There was one other option, though it wouldn't end well for Xander. He could focus on controlling the fire and then begin sucking its energy into himself, though he wouldn't be able to handle all of it and would surely die. It was then that Xander got an idea. Sweat began running down the side of his face, as Xander shouted at Amelie, "You need to disable Tucker's suit! If he runs fast enough around me, then this fire will run out of oxygen and dissipate without injuring anyone." Of course there was the risk that Xander would also run out of oxygen, but he wasn't about to risk someone's life with any of the other options.

Vulcan heard Amelie's screams but they sounded so distant, like an echo. Still, he could recognize that this wasn't a sound one would make if being lit like a torch. He assumed that she was out and safe. She must have ran out using her ice to keep her away from the flames. It made him smile to know the woman he loved was safe. This option was out for him and he knew it. Just as he was starting to feel the flames burning the skin around his face, they suddenly disappeared. The heat was still there but the fire were gone. His suit was smoking. He lifted up his head and carefully opened his eyes only to find his vision clouded, his head swimming. He sat back and as he was recovering, he could more and more recognize Xander's outlines, holding a huge ball of fire above his head, Amelie standing in the distance. He wanted to help Xander but knew he wouldn't be able to do anything to aid him in this. But he wouldn't stand idle either. He shifted and got up on his trembling legs. He saw Tucker in the distance and gathered all of the energy that was left in him to sprint towards him. They had to do this quickly. Xander wouldn't be able to hold on for a long time. As he reached the speedster, he shifted back. "Turn around!" he yelled. If a simple razor knife could damage it, than his claws would easily rip through whatever was attached on his back.

Tucker blinked in surprise and stood gaping as the firebender took control of all the flames and created a massive fireball. Upon hearing what he ordered next, Tucker was even more so dumbfounded. They wanted him to help them? Then again, from the looks of it, the firebender wouldn't be able to control the fire for long. It could burn everyone except the bender alive if he lost control, which he would soon by the looks of things.

Seeing the shifter sprinting towards him, Tucker flinched and was about to run, but saw no ill-intent in the shifter's eyes. Warily, he waited until the shifter reached him and then was surprised yet again when he was ordered to turn his back on the shifter. Uncertain, Tucker turned around, anxiously waiting to find out what the shifter would do. Was he really going to completely disable Tucker's suit? This was a dream come true if that was the case.

Nearby, Larassa turned to face Xander, slightly in awe of his capabilities. Yes, she could control fire as well, but she was more balanced between her firebending, lightning bending, and shifting. With all of these gifts combined, she wasn't that strong with any of them in particular, but all of them. Keeping a neutral expression, Larassa then limped over to Amelie's side, eyeing the agent's burn wound and then looking back at herself and frowning at the numerous burn wounds and lack of fur there was all over her half fox half wolf body. Looking back and then down at her tail, Larassa let out a quiet and frustrated sigh upon seeing that part of the fur from her tail had been completely burned off.

Vulcan was kinda surprised Tucker was so willing. As he turned his back to him, Vulcan needed a moment to look at the thing attached to his back. It was a disk, scratched and cracked in many places. Small lights were flashing, cables were sticking out of it. Vulcan shifted to his half human half animal form and pulled the knife out of the thing, putting both his hands inside instead of it and digging his claws deep into the device, making sure not to pierce through the suit and hurt Tucker. He put all of his strength into it and after a frustrated growl from his side, tore the whole device from the suit. It sparked for a moment in his hands before dying completely. "Go!" he yelled as he shifted back human and threw it to the ground.

It took a moment for Amelie to understand what Xander said. She was more concentrated on the pain coursing through her arm. Good thing I'd that it meant her armor did it's job in a way. Her nerves weren't fried. "I understand we need to do that. B-but we won't be able to catch him again once it's done." Amelie turned her head to look beside her when she heard movement. Looking Larassa up and down she noted how badly she was wound. "Larassa, you should stop. Your wouds, they are really bad." She knew that the interrogator didn't feel pain. It was good and a bad thing. For something like this it was bad. Seeing movement out of the corner of her eye she saw Vulcan running towards Tucker. Amelie knew this had to be done, that fire ball could kill them if Xander lost control of it. ~Jut hold on for a little longer Xander.~

Tucker was still for a moment, grinning, as he felt energy coursing through his body and everything speeding up. Turning around so the shifter could see his face now, a course of lightning was evident in Tucker's eyes. Then there was a sonic boom and Tucker disappeared in a red blur, sprinting in circles around Xander and the fireball now. All that could be seen of Tucker was a red blur that solidified into a red lightning line around Xander. Within seconds, Tucker had hit 550mph.

As Tucker pushed himself to run faster, the fireball began slowly dissipating and shrinking in size. As Tucker ran around Xander, a tornado began to form from the force, though it seemed to only speed up the whole process.

In the center of this growing tornado, Xander gasped for breath, struggling to use what little energy he had left to keep the fireball focus above him until it dissipated entirely. Just as Xander blacked out and collapsed on the ground, Tucker's recently formed tornado managed to fully dissipate the fireball, though there was a shockwave that knocked anyone in the surrounding area to the ground in force. Tucker flew to the ground as well, crashing onto his side and then sliding through the soil for several feet. Gritting his teeth, Tucker wasted no tim in jumping back to his feet though and sprinting in the opposite direction around the tornado as before. As grass and dirt was thrown about the tornado and it had just begun to wreak some havoc, Tucker managed to hit his max speed and reverse the effects of the tornado, causing it to then peacefully dissipate as well. Skidding to a halt, Tucker fell to his knees, doubling over and gasping for breath. He hadn't hit his max speed in years, and he was now thoroughly exhausted from it. Slowly, Tucker then slumped to his side, passing out as well. In his wake, there was at least twenty feet of scorched grass, all in the shape of Tucker's footprints and then lines where he'd put on his brakes.

Larassa growled when she saw Vulcan destroying the device that regulated Tucker's gift. This couldn't possibly end well if they gave the boy his gift back. Yet, within seconds of Vulcan breaking the suit, Tucker had disappeared in a flash and a sonic boom had sounded, causing Larassa to clutch her ears and whine. It wasn't so much that she felt the pain, but Larassa had felt the sonic boom destroy her hearing temporarily. As the ringing eventually died down, Larassa felt blood trickling out of her ears. Shaking her head, Larassa heard some distant voice saying something to her, who she assumed was Amelie, but couldn't understand her. Watching in awe, Larassa could only watch in silence, as Tucker broke the sound barrier in his sprinting and soon a tornado formed upon the fireball under Xander's control dissipating. Larassa saw Xander collapse under the tornado and could only wince in pain for him, as Tucker was thrown off his feet and to the side while the tornado raged. Within just a minute though, Tucker had dissipated the tornado as well, collapsing and passing out just like Xander had. Frowning, Larassa peered at Xander, seeing that the tornado had covered him in severe cuts and that he was now bleeding. From where Larassa was standing though, she couldn't tell if Xander was even breathing at this point.

Vulcan was thrown back just like everyone else, his ears ringing and hurting, a thin line of blood ran out of his ears and down his neck - his ear drums had popped. It was as if someone was blowing the loudest dog whistle right into his ears. However, this would be temporary. His hearing would be restored only minutes after it all ended. Vulcan didn't even notice it. He couldn't move, dazed, not believing what he was seeing, what was happening before his eyes. How could this lame device hold such a power for such a long time. When it all ended and he saw both of them laying on the ground as well, he immediately snapped out of his thoughts and pushed himself back to his feet, running towards them. He could see Xander was wounded by shrapnel that the tornado had been whirling through the air. Even simple pebbles must have felt like bullets. As he reached him, he immediately fell on his knees next to him, checking his pulse and breathing. He let out a sigh of relieve as he saw that he was still alive. "Bless those damn suits." he murmured and carefully turned him on his back so he could breath more easily. "Hold on, buddy." They had to bring him to the medical labs this instant.

Kytha finally snapped out of it when Xander grabbed the fire. The rest happened so quickly and she the soundwave hit her but she managed to cover her ears as a chimera though everything went silent and her ears rung. Feeling a bit of blood fall out since owl ears are so sensitive. she slid back a little from the force but still stood. she was in shock while she climbed down and her form went back human. She slunk down and awaited what happened next. The loneliness, the starvation, the torture, she deserved it.

The sound caused Amelie to curse in pain. She was only able to cover one of her ears. The ringing in her oher ear lasted for a few moment before it finally died down. The guys in the lab sure knew what they were doing when they made that suit. Amelie couldn't believe what her eyes saw. The tornado scared her for a moment since either stayed even though the fire was gone. But not long after it dissapeared, two figures on the ground. She noticed one as Xander. "Gaurds!" When no one came she yelled again. "GAURDS!" The doors to the office building slammed open as a few came over. One rushed to Larassa and asked if she needed help walking. Another came to Amelie asking if she could move her arm. "Stop worrying about me. Go get Xander to the medical bay. Alpha didn't haven't time to leave before this happened." Two of the gaurds ran on to Xander. Amelie saw Vulcan heading over to Vulcan. Her adrenaline rush was ending and there was a sharp pain in her arm. It took a lot of effort but she was able to make a thing layer of ice form over her burn. It cooled it down and helped with the pain. She moved as fast as she could, which was a brisk walk, over to him. Seeing that he and the gaurds weren't to worried she knew Xander was ok. "Vulcan, are you ok?" She looked him over. They all seemed to need Alpha right now but from what she saw Larassa needed itt most. "We need some more GA'S in the plaza to escort two prisoners to the lab. The speedster needs a new suit and the other power restricting cuffs." Her eyes didn't leave Vulcan. She should be worried about the others but he was the one that had most off her attention.

Larassa brushed off the guards and muttered, "I can walk by myself, take care of the damn prisoners." She then began limping towards the medical bay, not waiting to give the guards a chance to aid her. Burns covered her body, but Larassa wasn't about to let some measly guards help her along. She could still walk, more or less, and so she could handle herself.

Xander remained unconscious, covered in blood from the numerous embedded pebbles and cuts scattered across his body. His ears were bleeding as well, since he'd been caught in the middle of everything. His breathing was erratic, but he was at least alive for now. Every breath he drew was ragged, as if the next could be his last. The breath and been literally knocked and drawn out of him during the tornado incident and so he was now barely able to breath on his own.

Despite having passed out from the excessive energy use, Tucker's recovery time was sped up due to his full gift being returned to him finally. As everyone rushed about to fix the damage and take care of the wounded, Tucker's eyes slowly fluttered open and he took a deep breath before he groaned and rolled onto one of his sides. His vision was blurry at first, but it slowly came back to focus and he gritted his teeth while he pushed himself up with his good arm into a sitting position. Looking around for a moment, Tucker was amazed at all of the damage they'd done in the plaza. He'd enjoyed all of the adrenaline and intensity of the fights, but he didn't want to be imprisoned again. Not yet. Trying to get to his feet, Tucker almost made it, but was hit by a wave of dizziness and nausea, so he doubled over and fell to his knees, gasping in pain. He still held his injured arm to his chest as well, though the cast had been broken in the midst of everything and was beginning to fall off. On the bright side, the claw wounds on Tucker's side had healed at this point.

Right now, the best thing they could do for Xander was wait for the medical team to arrive. There could be fractures that could worsen if he was moved from non-professionals. Still, he stood by his side. Not only were they all thankful for him saving their lives, he was his best friend, their third wheel that kept the balance. He would be heartbroken if he was to lose him. Meanwhile, he ran the back of his palms over his ears to wipe off the blood. What it did however was only smear it across his face. There were multiple cuts over his head from Kytha's owl claws, parts of his hair were burnt. His ankle was swollen. But those were minor injuries - things that healed in a matter of a few days. Then suddenly, movement caught his eye - Tucker, who was waking up and trying to stand. Even though he failed to stand on his feet, Vulcan didn't want to risk it. It was his fault the speedster had gotten all of his powers back and he would be the one to finish it. He shifted and stood up, using three and a half limbs to stand, instead on one and a half. He quickly covered the distance between them and stopped as he was standing before the gifted. "Thank you for saving my friend and all of us, but I can't let you go." he said calmly and with a thankful nod, then lifted up one of his front paws, intending to push him on his back and hold him down until the crew with the new set of suit arrived.

Tucker looked up after falling down to see the shifter approaching him. Narrowing his eyes, Tucker attempted to move again, but found he was too weak and that the pain from his arm was returning now. Frowning at the shifter, Tucker spat in his face when he told Tucker that despite all of his efforts to save everyone, he still was nothing more than just a prisoner. Tucker grunted though, when the shifter pushed him onto his back and forced him down while the shifter held him down with one of his paws. Despite knowing that he was too weak to put up much of a fight, Tucker still refused to submit. Closing his eyes, Tucker focused on his speed from within and began vibrating at a high speed. Within a few seconds, the shifter's paw went straight through Tucker's chest and onto the soil below. Tucker then opened his eyes and rolled to the side before he stopped his vibrating. Gritting his teeth, Tucker then slowly pushed himself up on his one good hand and his knees before he began pathetically trying to crawl away from the shifter.

Two nurses came running out with a stretcher. They both cautiously picked up Xander and placed him on stretcher and moved him to the medical bay as fast as they could. Hearing people come in, Alpha cautiously came out from the back room, not exactly trusting who was talking since lockdown started. Seeing Xander being placed onto the bed she ran to his side. "Oh Xander." She ran a glowing hand over his body to see how bad it was. Her eyes widened. "The nurses are going to give you anesthesia. Healing this will hurt really bad and I can't have your body jerking around." Once she said that, a nurse came and cleaned off the spot on his arm before inserting the needle. Alpha waited till he was out to start the healing process.

"Vulcan let the gaurds deal with him. He needs to be brought to the lab. Only the scientists can put the suit on and activate it." As she said that, two GA's ran up. On blocked Tucker's path and the other placed a hand on his shoulder. "You're coming with us." The woman said. Amelie walked up and gripped Vulcan's arm. "Can we please go to the medical bay.. Alpha is going to take a awhile to heal the major injuries on Xander but I want to get you cleaned up." The third gaurd went over to Kytha and went to attempt to put a power restricting cuffs on her. Amelie wanted her sent to the lab so she could get a special pair of restricting cuffs.

Xander was dimly aware of being moved somewhere, though his ears were still ringing loudly and his vision was out of focus the whole time. Eventually, he felt a warm sensation throughout his body and then he relaxed and fell asleep at last.

Tucker spat out a mixture of saliva and blood on the ground in front of him and then sat back on his knees before looking up at the two gifted agents, the one standing in front of him and the one touching him. He quickly slapped the hand off of his shoulder and spat out, "Don't touch me, bitch. Why can't you guys just kill me already? I'd rather die than go back to that cell just to rot away for the rest of my life." He was practically begging at this point and his eyes showed that he meant what he was saying.

Vulcan didn't expect his paw to simply slip through. The man almost looked as if he had turned into a ghost. Then, as he stopped vibrating, he also recovered his body. Vulcan thought that he couldn't get more surprised after seeing the tornado and all, but he was proven wrong. When Tucker began crawling away Vulcan needed to make just a few small steps to be at him once more. "I don't want to hurt you any further." he said, then attempted to roll him to the side or on his back as not to step on him and damage the arm further, but was eventually stopped by the guards and soon Amelie as well. He decided to stay in his wolf form for now as to be able to walk more properly. When she pulled on him he didn't move, watching Tucker. He wouldn't leave until he was sure he was contained. "Go ahead. That arm of yours needs looking after first. I'm fine." he said, giving her a side glance.
