Futuristic Those That are Hunted

Vulcan didn't mind him cursing and provoking him. He continued stepping forward, growling louder, saliva gathering in his mouth. When he saw Tucker sprinting towards him, he stopped and spread his legs a bit to give him more stability. What would he do? Punch him in the face? His fist would meet his teeth first. Vulcan didn't care breaking him a limb or two as long as he was alive.

Instead of directly striking at the agent, Tucker dodged around his side and then kicked at one of his hind legs, aiming at the ankle part that would be weaker. Quickly moving away a few feet, Tucker skidded to a halt again and then turned to see what had happened to the shifter after his kick.

Vulcan was surprised that such a slender and even weak looking young man could throw such a powerful attack. Constantly underestimating his opponents - that was Vulcan's greatest weakness. Still, he was rather well prepared to take the hit. He knew that if the leg muscles weren't relaxed when taking the hit, it could strain them or relocate the bone. So, when the kick came, his leg moved backwards with it and lowered the force of the impact. It still hurt, yes, but nothing had been damaged. When Tucker then stopped a few meters away from him, Vulcan turned around again to face him, making sure not to put a lot of weight on that leg. He was thinking over his next move. If he stayed in that spot like previously, the guy would probably try to kick at the same leg to cripple him. He began snarling and slowly circling around him in a wide circle, the still hurting leg on the opposite side of the speedster. Vulcan was hoping to see the next attack coming from a distance and react accordingly.

Watching the wolf starting to circle him, Tucker shifted on his feet, bouncing on the balls of the feet. He then charged at the shifter, but at the last moment, he put his hand on the wolf's back and then vaulted over him. He then spun around, another kick aimed at the same ankle.

When the gifted sprinted towards him once more, Vulcan turned his head to meet his charge with his teeth. However, his jaws caught only air as the guy leapt over him and kicked once more at his hurting leg. Vulcan didn't have enough time to turn back around and the leg took the hit, moving back like the last time. Still, this second kick made him shiver as waves of pain came up from his ankle over his whole body. He winced as he turned around to bite at his attacker before he could run to the side again, one of his front paws turned towards him to claw at his ribs or stomach. However, he was completely out of balance as his numb leg, along with one of his front paws were still in the air. Balancing such a weight on two limbs wasn't a good idea.

Tucker was still no where fast enough to dodge the wolf's every move and he shouted in pain when the wolf's jaws latched onto one of his forearms, yanking him backwards before he could run away and effectively dislocating his shoulder as well. Because he was trapped in the wolf's grip, he also felt the claws raking against his side, gasping at the sudden blood flow and sharp pain on top of his already bleeding forearm and dislocated shoulder. Cursing, Tucker was now trapped in place with numbness running up his arm and blood trickling over his hip. Tucker looked down at the wolf and glared, waiting to see what he'd do next.

Vulcan felt his jaws close around the gifted's forearm, the blood on his tongue and paw, the pop of the shoulder dislocating. If it wasn't for Ivan who had taught him how to keep his gift under control, he would have ripped the man apart. His two paws that were in the air a few moments ago found their ground again. Next? Well, nothing happened next. Vulcan continued holding the gifted's forearm in his mouth, not tightening or loosing his grip. If the guy tried to punch him, he would start chewing on the flesh, delivering huge amounts of pain. He had dealt more damage than he had intended to. But at least he was going nowhere. All he had to do is wait for back up to arrive and restrain the speedster. The sudden loud thud indicated that the barrier was finally closed as well.

Kytha moved her wrists before seeing Vulcan and tucker fighting. I need to get us out of here. We'll come back for the others. She saw they were in a stand still. The wall is gonna be closed in a minute or two at the least. If I tackle Vulcan, with the hold he's got, it could break or even rip through the arm. Maybe if I turn owl and scratch at his face he'll let go. Then once I do that I will turn dragon and fly up. If I have to, I will just get my wings an scales to be small enough. At that she sprinted then jumped shifting mid flight and making small marks along Vulcans back as she went towards his head and ears. Maybe if I catch an ear...

(the barricade has been closed off :) )

Vulcan didn't notice Kytha shifting and flying to him. His thick fur and skin underneath were preventing her claws of making deep wounds. It was more of an itchy sensation than anything else. However, he could feel her trying to get to his rather unprotected face. But he couldn't allow himself to let go. He would have to endure the pain until more agents appeared. He winced and tightened his grip on Tuckers arm, trying to push his head into his chest and protect himself from the sharp claws.

Tucker heard something metallic banging nearby and he looked down at the shifter to try and figure out what had just happened. Yet, Kytha came flying out of no where, attacking the shifter. At least, Tucker assumed it was Kytha defending him. He didn't actually know her gift, but he doubted any agents would've come to his aid. Tucker reacted the instant that Kytha attacked, throwing rapid punches at the shifter's muzzle to loosen his grip on his arm while also throwing a knee at the shifter's chin to stop him from pushing his face into Tucker's chest. If he could get his arm back from the shifter then he could pop it back into place. On the bright side, his whole arm was numb from the dislocation so he couldn't feel any pain inflicted on it. The punches were an onslaught and Tucker wouldn't stop until his arm was free. The moment the shifter released his arm, Tucker planned on sprinting at least 200 meters away so that he got to a safe distance from the shifter.

Xander was stil nervously pacing, but having Richter shouting in anger nearby was not helping his nerves one bit. Putting a hand on Richter's shoulder, Xander said, "Hey, don't sweat it, mate. I'll take the fall for this one. I'm the superior and so the fault falls on me in the end for letting a rookie make a mistake in my presence."
Larassa thought for a moment and then said, "I'll put you in Toron's cell instead. Kytha shouldn't know that Toron is in solitary confinement. She'll go back to his cell first." She then turned away from Hugo and began walking to Toron's cell, not waiting to hear what Hugo had to say on the matter.

Manjano frowned at the accusation and narrowed his eyes before saying, "I didn't steal from the vault. I swear." He really didn't want to say that he stole from Piper, of all people, but they no doubt would want to figure out where he'd gotten the money in the end. Annoying interrogators. Why did this even matter to them? He was here because of his gift, wasn't he?

Time slowed for Tucker to see that a wolf shifter was rapidly approaching the pair. Despite Tucker having some of his speed back, his eyes widened to see the shifter still quickly approaching them even after everything had slowed around him. Knowing he had no time to pick up Kytha and carry her to safety, Tucker quickly shoved Kytha aside and then put his arms up to protect his face just as the wolf shifter was seconds away from hitting him.
"Ok then." Hugo said under his breath and catched up to Larassa walking beside her. "If Toron isn't in there I'll just be Toron" Hugo said changing his form again.

(Where does it say it completely closed?)

Seeing his wince she let out a battle cry. She dove at his ear biting the top and trying to puncture or rip the side. All the while her other claws raking his skull eventually blood will be seen.

Vulcan was wincing and trying to avoid the attacks from both sides but he was too big of a target for them to miss. Damn it! He was keeping his eyes shut, his ears pressed against his skull. The kick to the chin only made his teeth go deeper. They were at the bone now and he was inches away from locking his jaws and severing the arm. He couldn't allow it to happen. He would get himself killed if he let such a valuable gifted become a cripple. He couldn't let go either. Kytha was able to shift and that meant she also had her dragon form. She could easily snatch Tucker and fly out of everyone's reach - some rooftop probably, from where she would not only be able to burn everyone that came near her, she would also destroy his suit completely and unbothered. Vulcan managed to lift up a paw and claw and whatever was the nearest around him. He didn't dare open his eyes. And if clawing didn't work, he would at least try to cover his face. Where the heck are you, Amelie?!

(my previous post #2097)

Larassa frowned at Hugo and said, "Do you even know how Toron acts? It might be easier to pretend to be another prisoner." She soon rounded the corner and approached Toron's cell before unlocking it with a key. What most people wouldn't know, was that the key was a skeleton key for the whole prison.

(How thick is the wall? I might just have a plan..)

Still Vulcan was relentless. She didnt want to have to hit the weak spots but that's what it had come to. "Vulcan don't make me do this!" She pleaded but struck his nose hard.

Tucker's eyes widened at how deep the shifter was biting into him and began freaking out, shouting oscenities and crying out for help before he lost his arm. He was going to count his losses and let the shifter take his arm soon if he wouldn't let go. Tucker had been imprisoned for far too long. Nearly six years of living hell here. He wasn't going back unless he was in a body bag.

(I... don't think you can melt a hole in it. It's steel. Steel of such thickness needs days of heating to melt.)

This was no good. Vulcan took the hit to his nose, winced loudly but at the same time pulled on Tucker's arm and pulled down, trying to hide his head between his front legs - out of reach of his punches and Kytha's claws. As strong and fast as he may be, he wasn't that strong. But if he resisted, the bone would snap. It was literally hanging on a thin thread. Less and less blood was pouring into Vulcan's arm, which wasn't a good sign, not at all. If help didn't arrive soon, the arm would have be to medically amputated.

"Vulcan just let go! We can't escape anyway!!" She continued clawing at him and turned wolf grabbing his scruff and pulling his skull upwards while gripping at his jaw with a paw and pulling down. "PLEASE!"

Reaching Toron's cage Hugo replied "I don't need to act like him, just need to get the pair close so I can surprise attack them."

Vulcan let her pull on his scruff - a rather numb skin tissue found on most mammals. However, when she tried pulling his jaw down, he fought it, hardening his hurting face muscles so they wouldn't move. Pulling on his lower jaw would only dig his upper teeth into the bone. In her wolf form, Kytha wasn't far as big as him so she wouldn't able to overpower him that easily. Her bear and dragon form however, were a completely different matter.

Larassa crossed her arms over her chest and said, "They may not come close to you if Kytha thinks something's wrong."

Tucker yelped when he felt the shifter pull his arm to the ground. It was throbbing a ton, but he still couldn't feel any pain. On top of it being numb, it almost felt like the nerves had been so badly damaged that he could no longer feel pain in the forearm. Tucker looked into the shifter's eyes, his own wide with fear at the thought of losing his arm. Pkeading, Tucker said in a rushed tone, "Please, I don't want to lose my arm! I'm not going anywhere, dammit, man!"

When Tucker began pleading for him to release him, making promises he wouldn't keep, Vulcan opened his eyes and looked straight into his filled with fear and shock. He couldn't speak like this, but his gaze would suffice. For it was screaming Never. He didn't trust him and he wouldn't allow all of this to be for nothing because he took pity in a gifted. He had killed innocents before, children even, without any traces of regret or hesitation and this wouldn't change because some random guy was pleading him to. They all were pleading for their lives in the end. Furthermore, this one wasn't innocent. Vulcan closed his eyes as fast as he had opened them. They would wait. And he would be victorious.

Seeing that it wasnt working she shifted human and looked at tucker. "Get ready for a downward jolt on your arm." Then, before anyone could say anything, she turned into her magnificent bear form and reared up before pounding back down on vulcans head with the intent of knocking him out.

Sensing Kytha move away and release her grip on his scruff, Vulcan opened his eyes and looked at what she was about to do. The moment he heard what she told Tucker, he knew she was going to try and pin him down. He carefully began opening his jaws as not to pull Tucker's arm out and quickly made a small but sufficient step to the side. Just in time to avoid Kytha's large body from crashing on top of him, which in turn would sever Tucker's arm. He then turned to face her, snarling and ready to fight. His back was itching, his leg was hurting, his face was bleeding. He may psychically be able to fight, but this might not go so well for him. Tucker was also still a treat. He was just hoping the crew would finally arrive and lend him a hand in this matter.

(now that I think about it, Kytha and I haven't fought in our animal forms before. yay)
