Fantasy Those That are Hunted

"Listen, they're traveling on the ground, so we'll he faster if we go alone, yeah?" Without waiting for a reply, he jumped down the whole, rolling to avoid any injury, and sprinted after the two escaping fugitives. "You are way too slow!" he shouted as he caught up with them. 'Let's see how fast you guys run if I do this.' he thought as he made their frictional force vectors zero, causing them to instantly fall and humble with their next slide. Standing over them, he picked the illusion boy up by his shirt collar and said, "Now, what was that about a collared dog?"

Xavier fell flat on his face, and couldn't get his hands or knees under him as he kept slipping. "What the Hell?" He asked no one in particular, his mind racing with answers and chucking them out as fast as they came. He was still trying to get himself up when the undead guy came over and oh-so-gently lifted him off the asphalt by his jacket. A wave of panic rushed through Xavier as his feet left the ground, and he frantically tried to kick the man.

"You heard what I said," he spat at the man, glaring at him and trying to pry his hands off. "They collared and chipped all of us that showed any resistance, and wiped the minds of those who were too smart for their own good like you. Hell, I wouldn't be surprised if they took me back and zapped me like they did to you. A mindless puppet is much easier to control than a dog on a leash, you know." Bringing his legs up, Xavier kicked right under the man's ribcage, forcing the breath out of the man's lungs and himself out of his grip, landing gracefully on the ground several feet away. Throwing a glance at Kai, Xavier made sure the other boy could get up before turning his attention back to the undead agent and pulling out his gun, not even wincing as the needles pierced his skin.

Eloarch took a step back, closing his eyes momentarily and pinching the bridge of his nose. However, it wasn't the force of the boy's kick that forced him to do so and to let go of the boy; Eloarch's head had suddenly begun to pound harder than it had before. It felt as if his head was splitting. All of a sudden, he was inside his mind. 'Took you long enough, you fool.' he heard a voice say menacingly. 'Who's there? Where are we?' he asked hesitantly. 'We're in your mind.' the voice spat back. 'Then, what in the bloody hell are you doing here?' Eloarch questioned of the voice. 'How dumb can you be? I am you! And now, since you're letting this weakling walk all over you, I'm taking control.' Suddenly, Eloarch was back outside of his body... except he wasn't. It was as if he was only looking at his body from a first person POV. His actions, however, were not his own, and neither were his words.

Opening his eyes once again, there was a new light in them... something more dangerous and deadly. "Alright. Time for me to get some answers since that fool can't do it himself." He began to stalk forward slowly, threateningly. "I don't know what happened with that damn government, but they did something to us. However, I, unlike him, remember everything. A perk of being too smart, I suppose." he said, mocking the illusion boy's comments. "As for being a mindless, leashed puppet that's being controlled... No one. Controls. Me." he said, emphasizing every word. Gazing boredly at the gun that pierced they boy's hand, he commented, "I'm willing to make you a deal here. Tell me everything you know about the way the government operates. It seems things have changed quite a bit since we left them. If you agree, I'll take care of that infernal ice lady for you and let you disappear. Bear in mind that this deal is non-negotiable and non-refusable. If you try to resist, well... a gun won't save you, no matter what it does. Remember, I won't follow the rules and limits my other half uses." With that, he offered a hand to the boy, a sign of an agreement.

As he did so, he bent the air molecules around himself and illusion boy to create a space where the two could talk so that the choas-powered target couldn't hear. Just to be sure, Eloarch caused the chaos boy to slip again, adding a little extra gravity so that the boy slammed hs head hard enough to disorient and incapacitate him for a few seconds. "Unfortunately, I won't be able to justify letting both of you go. So, if you take this deal, I'll contact you later to arrange a dead drop for the information. However, you'll have to abandon that boy and allow me to take him to the governement. Otherwise, it'll simply mean more of us on your back. Surely he doesn't mean that much to you after such little time. He can't be worth more than you own freedom. So... what's you answer?" he inquired, his hand still held out.

Kai still fueled by the chaotic energy shook his head clear and saw the two people having a discussion. Quietly cursing under his breath Kai ran into the crowd of people, he shot a man in the leg. The man screamed, everyone else screamed. Kai felt the power surge into him and he channeled it into his legs. He would be faster now, for the time being, and more nimble. Kai ran away, using his new strength to climb a building and he ran, leaping from rooftop to rooftop. Kai fired his gun down at the civilians below everytime he felt himself growing weaker. He had to get away from the powerful motherf***er.

Xavier instantly noticed the man's change in behavior and lowered the gun a little, still tense and not putting the weapon away completely. He chuckled a little and a smirk played on his lips. "Don't put words in my mouth, I know you can't be controlled. The guy had to get someone to kill him last time you took over," Xavier said calmly, looking down at the hand offered and taking note of the way the air moved differently around them. Instead of taking the hand, Xavier put both of his in his pockets in a relaxed sort of way. "Unfortunately, I don't trust you at all, and since you are trying to negotiate with me, it will be held on my terms." Closing his eyes briefly, Xavier pulled both him and the man into a hallucination, and when he opened his eyes again they were both standing in a grassy field. Sitting down, Xavier watched the clouds overhead absentmindedly. "This will give us more privacy, and assure me that you won't try to kill me. So what did you want to talk about?"

(Sorry for not respond fast. I don't get internet in this house till tomorrow)

As Amelie was jumping down she felt a sharp pain in her head. It didn't last long but it caused her to wince and then almost miss her landing. F**k. Landing the wrong way Amelie hissed at the pain in her ankle. She was going to try and treat it till she started to hear gun shots and then people screaming. That bastard! Why does he always involve the civilians. Amelie looked at Eloarch and Xavier and then in the direction she knows Kai went. Xavier seems to have gotten Eloarch in his illusion. "Whats going on? That should never had happened." She mumbled. Hearing another shot go off Amelie's head snapped in the other direction. She didn't know what to do. Leave her target to go after someone else? Or stay and get Eloarch out of the illusion.

Eloarch's other half began to chuckle, than full out laugh. "My, my. How the past seems to have been forgotten. Don't you know this pathetic dream of yours won't contain me. Everything has a vector, even your thoughts. It might be difficult, but I've lived much longer than you. Don't think I can't break this cage." With those menacing words, Eloarch demonstrated his power, causing the illusionary world to shake and shimmer as if falling apart. However, he soon stopped, once again looking at the boy with a grin. "Ah, youthful arrogance. I remember it all too well. I like that. Your ambition and will are strong... So, I'll play along with you this time."

Eloarch sat down next to the boy, continuing, "As I said this is not a negotiation. In exchange for giving up my pursuit of you, you should have let me capture the chaotic one. However, as we speak, he is fleeing, so now, to ensure your safety after I let you go, you must help me get him. It shouldn't be terribly difficult, seeing as how he showed you his hiding places, yeah? Lets get going then." He stood up, holding out a hand to help the boy up, but also representing his offer.

Xavier frowned slightly as the world around them shook, not really paying attention as the man spoke. Shouldn't the illusions have become stronger? Surely with the extra boost of his gun it would at least make it difficult for the guy to break out. And what did he mean 'thoughts had vectors'? What was a vector even? Xavier suddenly wished he had gone to school, just so he could understand what the Hell the guy was talking about. Speaking of which...

Xavier looked up and blinked, realizing the guy had continued talking while he zoned out. Standing on his own, Xavier disregarded the hand offered and put his own in his jacket pocket. "Look, I know half of you just wants to get your mission over with and go back to HQ like a good little doggie, but that's not going to be easy. You're not invincible, and I just can't let you take Kai. You'll kill him one way or another, and then -after you've gone back- I'll be killed without a moments hesitation for running. See how that works? Now, I know for a fact I'm not that big of a threat to humans, but I'm helping Kai. I do hate bloodshed after all," he said in an almost casual way, waving his hand and watching a cloud overhead form and morph into different shapes, finally stopping on a smiley face.

"That is... unfortunate. However, my priority is to go back to how it was in the past. I want to go back to being out of the government's control and off the grid. The other me... they did something to him, so he doesn't know what's good for him. But I do. I will do what jeds to be done." Standing up, Eloarch began to shimmer, as if disappearing. "I'm leaving to pursue Kai. However, I will not attack you whilst you're still in your illusion. Look at it as a gesture of goodwill. If you choose, you may flee, and I will not follow. However, assist Kai, and I will have to kill you."

By this point, Eloarch had fully disappeared, his voice a disembodied entity in Xavier's head. " Also, you'd do well to remember this. I may not be truly invincible... but there is a reason the government would have given up the entire Gifted Project to have me back at full form just a few days ago. For all intents and purposes, when fighting you all, I might as well be a god." His voice echoed, and then faded away. Back in the real world, he glanced at Xavier's still body before keeping his promise not to harm him. Eloarch sped off after Kai.

(Holy sheit sorry guys been suuuuuper busy will try to reply tomorrow, so sorry guys)

((OH MY GOSH I GOT MY FIRST JOB SO EXCITED!!! xD Anywho, onto my post!))

Xavier stared blankly at the spot where the guy had been, blinking in confusion. "Well that's new," he announced aloud, though there was no one around to hear the confused comment. Standing up and brushing the dirt from himself, Xavier took several calming breaths, watching the world he had created. Sadly there was no real way to tell time in his worlds -sometimes it moved faster than a blink, and sometimes hours could be spent in seconds- so he couldn't know if the agent guy had gone or not. Or Kai, for that matter. Running his fingers through his hair in a gesture that was somewhere between exhaustion and anger, Xavier finally closed his eyes and let his world crumble away.

Opening his eyes to the real world, Xavier hissed in pain as he stumbled a few steps. Dizziness swept over him and his sight blurred before clearing, the fog leaving just as quickly as it had come. Surveying the street after he put his gun in his pocket, Xavier noticed how there wasn't anyone else there. The agent had kept his word and left, probably in pursuit of Kai who was also gone. The only other living person Xavier could see was Amelie, standing not two hundred feet down the block from him. Putting his hands in his pockets, Xavier looked at his ex partner and put on an easily practiced smile. "Hey Amelie," he said casually. "Mind telling me what I missed out on? There's no civillians around here." He glanced around with a mock surprised look, knowing that Kai had probably done something to scare them all off but joking about it none the less.

Kai looked back and saw no one in sight. Relieved he jumped down from the building and into an alley way. Kai pulled his hood over his head and walked into a little coffee shop. He walked up to the counter and ordered himself a hot chocolate and a cookie. He then sat in a secluded corner of the shop, away from the window and in the shadows. Kai's drink arrived but as he went to drink it his cup was knocked out of his hands. The contents spilled off the table and onto the floor. Kai looked up. He recognized the guy from somewhere but couldn't quite recall. Kai looked back down and took a bite of his cookie. This time, when the boy swung to hit the cookie Kai grabbed his hand and clenched tight. He used the strength from the growing fear in the coffee shop to squeeze the boys hand. Kai then let go and finished the cookie. Enraged the boy grabbed a baseball bat and swung at Kai. Kai didn't see the bat, only heard it approaching and raised his hand to block it. There was a sickening crack and Kai yelled in pain. Although his arm had stoped the blow, it was now broken. "Mother F***er!" Kai yelled and blasted the boy with his gun. The black orb splattered on the boy. Like a water balloon filled with black paint the darkness spread along his body until he was engulfed by the black mass. Kai felt the power surge into him as the shadow tortured the boy. Kai felt his arm heal. Kai then shot the boy again and the shadow vanished, leaving nothing, not even a pile of ash. Kai smiled, "who's next?"

(Hope it's okay for me to post now...)

Vanessa's lips curled as she saw Xavier through the agent's eyes, forcing Amelie's head up to look at him. In the room alone, Vanessa's head cocked to the side. She lurched forward with Amelie's body, grabbing hold of Xavier's shoulders.

"Now... Where's that special cold I saw earlier...?" Vanessa whispered into her mind, trying to find the right buttons to push in order to set Amelie's power off.

Something else was working in not just Amelie's mind, but Vanessa's as well. It was as if she too had been taken over, the black fluid inside of her seemingly possessing her actions and thoughts. And it's intentions were not good, to say the least. An immense sense of hatred and maliciousness had consumed her without her being aware.

Amelie's eyes widened in surprise as her bod started acting on its own. What the hell is going on? Her body shot itself at Xavier and gripped him. "Curse that girl." Amelie mumbled. So this is what that liquid did. She felt a sharp pain as her body started covering in ice, trying to get rid of its invader once again. "You, missed out on Kai getting away. Good thing he technically wasn't my target...ugg." She winced. You could see the ice moving through her body.

Alec was on his motorcycle following the leads he had on his sister and the others. Seeing a man walk across the street and into a coffee shop, he slowed down and pulled over to the side. Parking the bike, he got up and casually walked into the coffee shop. Before the lady at the cash register could even say hello before the event between Kai and the unknown man occurred. Alec was quite surprised to say the least, to see someone use his powers in such a gruesome way. Everyone turned to stare at him as he walked towards Kai. "Now I don't want to fight and end up like him. I would prefer to just talk." He smiled at Kai. The people in the coffee shop began to fear for Alec's life. Trying to talk to a man that just killed another? Was he crazy? Hopefully I don't get my self killed in this process.

Eloarch followed Kai swiftly, slowing his approach when the boy walked into a coffee shop. He was even more surprised to notice that a man, who vaguely reminded him of Amelie, also followed Kai on a motorcycle. He also entered the coffee shop after Kai, so Eloarch did likewise. However, he was carefull to bend the light vectors around his body so he was less noticable as he quietly entered and sat in the farthest corner from the two. His entrance was masked by the commotion caused by the foolish boy's actions; the murder was simply more reason to take him in. Interestingly, the man who'd been following him spoke up, indicating that he wasn't looking for a fight, but rather a talk. Eloarch decided he'd simply see what the man had to say and what Kai's response would be, although Eloarch was ready to jump in at any time he deemed appropriate and/or necessary.

Xavier scowled and took a step back, hoping the movement would get Amelie to let go of him but having no such luck. The ice that was starting to cover her body was just plain freaky in Xavier's opinion, but he still used it to his advantage to get away from Amelie while she was being encased. Making sure he was out of her range for a physical attack, Xavier tilted his head slightly and smiled innocently. "Oh? Well that's good. Gave himself a head start against that narcissistic undead guy. Seriously, he's got a God complex going on." He laughed a little, then let his expression turn serious as he saw how much pain Amelie seemed to be in. "Hey, um, I can put you in a hallucination if you want. You won't feel your body and whatever is controlling you will go away while your in," he said quietly, taking a few slow steps towards the agent. He didn't know why he was even helping her, just that it made him feel bad to see her in pain.

The fluid pushed at Amelia's body once it had found her power, sharpening the ice around her hands into long pointed spikes, aimed at the boy's neck. Amelie was resisting, and that made its idea difficult to perform, but the darkness tightened Amelie's grip on Xavier all the same.

"Go to sleep... And your friend here... Won't live much longer..." the darkness whispered to here again. It smirked, playing through Amelie's thoughts and memories. "Killing two friends...? Is that what you want...?"

"Xavier....please." She tried to fight what was controller her but lost. Hearing the voice talk to her Amelie started to panic. Seeing the memories of Eloarch, dead by her hand, made her want to cry. No please don't make me do this! Even we agents aren't heartless! Small tears started fall. Another one of her comrades is about to fall and she couldn't do anything about it.

Xavier flinched when the ice shards started forming towards him, but ignored it and locked eyes with Amelie in a vain hope to calm her. He gritted his teeth as she started crying and took a deep breath to keep calm. "Ok. Keep your eyes open for this, ok? It might hurt a little, but just look me in the eyes and ignore whatever else is going on," he said smoothly, and found that he had placed his hands on her shoulders. Ice froze his skin, frosting his fingers over slightly but he didn't break eye contact with Amelie. "Count of three. One, two, three." And the world around them spun dangerously.

When the spinning seemed to stop Xavier dared a glance to the side and let out a sigh of relief. The ice around Amelie was gone, as was the frost on his hands and all the pain faded as he took in their surroundings. It was a park of some kind, and Xavier looked at a spot next to them and waved his hand, a bench forming. Taking Amelie's arm gently, he steered her towards the bench. "Here, sit down. Does your head hurt? Dizziness? Faintness?"

Amelie could only look at him as he talked. Suddenly the world around them started to disappear. She couldn't help but shut her eyes to try and get rid of the dizziness but it only made it worse. Finally being in Xavier's little world, her eyes opened again. Amelie finally felt in control of her body. "Thank you." She said softly and let him lead her to the bench. It's not very often you got to hear her say thank you."That girl....Her abilities are strong..." She took a moment to catch her breath. "I'm just dizzy. Don't feel like I'm going to faint."
