The fabric of the multiverse had come unraveled.

A stellar anomaly, which would be later known as the
"Convergence", rocketed through time and space to tear a great many realities asunder. Nothing in its path was safe.

In a distant part of a far-off galaxy, a lone Red Giant awaited the return of the Convergence. Its wake brought with it various fragments of the worlds it had shattered; combining them into a crude planetoid and an accompanying satellite. The mysterious anomaly was shown to be omnipresent and omnipotent….

It took with it people; displaced from their friends, family, and homes...

It took with it places; forcibly carved from their native geography...

And it took with it hope; leaving only the sense that they may never return...

The planetoid immediately began to orbit the large red star, with the satellite taking its place as the planets moon.

In the little time it took for this to happen, the new world was quickly populated with displaced creatures and objects that the Convergence had no proper place for. The landscapes of the planet were dotted with various biomes containing remnants of civilizations or histories that would be lost to the annals of a forgotten time.

Nonetheless, the Red Star was nearing the end of its own life; an explosive death lingering on the edge of time much like the survivors upon the world encircling it. The plans of the Convergence would remain unknown; the incomprehensible thoughts of a god-like entity…

Whether the survivors were meant to be pieces upon a multi-dimensional chessboard to pit against one another or merely to find a way work together to get back to their own worlds… only Time would tell.

[Technodrome Ruins - Hallway]

Tywin strode through the empty halls of the once-mobile fortress; the echo of his armored steps the only sound within the place. The air inside was stuffy due to many of the exits and entries being sealed off; likely when the technodrome was flung into this part of space without warning. Remnants of the former inhabitants lingered here; robotic shells of Foot Clan soldiers and the technology their owners utilized.

All of these futuristic gadgets were lost on Lannister.

Wandering for such a long time had made the Lord of Casterly Rock weary, and despite being able to rest, he kept moving along. After all, he was a Lannister… he would not let his line die out with him if it meant that his children were already gone.

A set of large metallic doors screeched and whirred as they attempted to open; the mechanisms jammed and broken. Just beyond the partially open entrance, a more-than-modest room with tatami floors and racks of ancient weaponry upon the walls. Tywin placed himself between the opening and gave a firm shove, grunting as the doors forced a little wider and the whirring eventually stopped. A loud grinding noise echoed out and all went quiet again.

“Strange place.” Tywin commented to himself, striding towards a rack laying on the floor where a simple set of robes remained; untouched by the chaos of this place and what had happened. The Hand knelt down and examined said robes, sliding off a gauntlet and glove to run the fabric between his fingers.

“Hm.” He did not seem unimpressed, but the architecture of the room seemed strange to him; as if this room itself had been taken from another time. “Walls of steel. Floors much of the same. Windows with no view and not a soul in this place.” Tywin did not suspect he was alone, but he surely had yet to find anyone else.

Another noise within the structure caught his immediate attention, making note of the route he came from. Someone had likely followed him here.

His hand fell to the hilt of Widow’s Wail and soon his eyes cast briefly down upon it.

“Joffrey would never have known how to use you properly.” Tywin remarked with a shake of his head, readying himself as he peeked out of the open doorway to stare down the long, dark corridor…

[Anchorhead Ruins - Junix’s Joint]

“Yes! Finally! Something that isn’t sand!” Toph cheered aloud, pumping her fists into the air victoriously. The Earthbender felt her way along the outer wall and once her foot made contact with the stone steps, all was suddenly clear to her. A subtle curl of her toes and the young girl sighed happily.

“Glad I can see again!” She remarked, her blindsight showing her all the details she needed to see of the cantina. “Hello? Anyone home?” She called out.

No answer.

“Hmph… maybe there’s something to eat here.” She wondered as she walked across the ruined floor of the bar, clambering atop a barstool and snagging a bottle from behind the counter. Toph popped the cork and took a whiff--

“---Ugh! What is this stuff? Smells like it’s gone bad…” She repeated this with several bottles, sniffing the contents only to become disgusted with it and threw them to the side. Plenty of imported Tarisian ales wasted…

Beifong leapt over the counter to rummage around, finding a small box containing a few dried meats. Not being as picky with the drinks, Toph sniffed the meats and shrugged.

“Mm… mmmf! Not bad! Tastes like turtle-duck…” The girl kept eating her fill, still rummaging around to find some fresh water to drink. It didn’t take her long to regain herself, thankful for the respite from walking on hot sand with her bare feet.

Toph patted her belly contentedly, letting out an unladylike belch before picking her teeth. “That definitely hit the spot... “

Days of travel had done a number on her feet, which for her was not just a means of travel; it was a means of sight. If not for the hot sands leading to this settlement, she certainly would have had an easier time seeing things around her. She used some fresh water to clean her soles, rubbing them gently as she hunkered behind the cantina bar.

“Wonder where everyone is? I hope Aang and the others are okay…”

[Overgrown Everfree - Castle Ruins]

A stranglehold of vines choked whatever life the once mysterious forest ever had. Bones of numerous equine-like creatures and other beings strange to a land of men were wrapped tightly in thorny brambles and may have been there for several decades, if not longer.

Gwen leapt from trunk to trunk, dodging the spikes and vines as they lashed out at her! Ducking beneath some and flipping over others; the heroine swung herself upward into a taller part of the tree. The thorny vines hissed and lurched towards her, already clenching around the trunk of the massive tree.

“Vicious attack vines?” She wondered aloud, hopping backward onto a nearby branch to dodge another lashing whip. Eventually, the forest opened up to a clearing where an ancient castle remained; ruined, but definitely passing some test of time. Gwen fled towards it, the vines seeming to lose interest once she was out of their reach. The young woman finally let a sigh of relief escape her and entered the ruins.

“This place… it’s definitely strange.” Gwen slid her hand across a nearby wall, brushing centuries of dust off with a single swipe.

“tHiS pLaCe Is… oLd…” Venom added. “... oLd As--”

“--Don’t! Don’t say it…”
Gwen scolded, silencing her symbiotic partner up. She sighed and pulled her hood backward to get a better look at things, checking the torn tapestries ravaged by the weathers of time spent unattended.

“Unicorns… with wings? I feel like this is something out of a little girl’s bedroom.” Gwen further examined the cobweb-lined corridors, brushing them aside to peer into the darkness.

“wE tHiNk ThEy ArE cAlLeD ‘aLiCoRnS’…”

“Whatever they are, they’re plastered all over this place. Look…” She pointed to a few broken mosaics made of stained glass depicting these same things fighting off… all manner of things. The forest included.

“Suns… moons... “ Gwen continued, taking in the sights as she could see the sun beginning to rise through the massive skylight above her; although there was likely a roof at one point.

“Speaking of suns, we’ve been traveling all night. We should get some rest.”

“aNd WhAt ShOuLd We Do? kEeP wAtCh?”

Gwen smirked, though the casual observer would think she had just been talking to herself.

“I’m the driver and you’re the passenger; and right now the driver needs to pull over and sleep.”

She used her webbing to make a high hammock, crawling up the wall to hunker down and rest comfortably; or at least as comfortably as she could in a strange place like this. Gwen clutched her arms tightly about herself, trying to push memories of home back… because they might keep her up at night if not.
