This is it, the apocalypse 1x1

Matthias knew that Alec wasn't the only one smirking, that his friend was sitting there, pretending as if he wasn't listening when he was, about to laugh his ass off at Matthias's current condition. Despite the fact that Alec never too his eyes off his face, Matthias was looking straight past him, refusing to look at him, acting as if this was not happen "Surely if you're so smart you can figure it out on your own." Matthias said, praying that Aiden would help him out here because in all honesty, the guy owed him. He got him out of the awkward situation with Gabriel, spared him from his whole face turning into a blush in front of everyone. He owed him, oh how he did, and Matthias would collect no doubt- but he wanted to collect now more than ever.

"Ah. I probably could, mind you. And I would..." he chuckled, before retracting his hand from Matthias's chest, only to skirt around the wheel itself, duck under one of the taller man's arms, and stand in the nearly minuscule gap between the apparently non - human and the wheel. He practically purred as the pirate's chest brushed his own, and his blue eyes widened in delight as he resumed playing with the silver clasps. "But I will not. You see, the thrill of the chase is much more satisfying, as is the capture. And I heard that a rugged pirate's tale was one of the more interesting ways to discover information." Alec smiled again, leaning forward now instead of back against the wheel as his fist closed around the fabric of Matthias's shirt once more, tugging at it. "Surely you wouldn't refuse me the delight of such an epic tale, would you, Captain?"

"I-"

"Matthias one of the ropes is loose." Aiden didn't look over his shoulder but tilted his head towards the rope that connected the sail to the mast, Matthias picked back up "-Will go fix that right now." He pulled away from Alec's touch and made his way over before any crew member could to fix it. He was sure to take his time, all of his time, all that he needed to keep himself out of that situation. Aiden, having repaid debt, was pleased. Now they were even, though he didn't need to look behind him, he could feel the displeasure of Alec the minute he heard Matthias's foot steps walk right past him. If the teen really wanted to know what he was there were certainly other ways of doing it, but then again, Matthias had gotten himself into this. He thought he was being funny by playing Alec when in the end he was the one getting played. Sad really, but he'd saved his friend from it for now.

Alec watched him go, not sure if he should feel disappointed or not at the absence, but definitely feeling the annoyance caused by Aiden's obvious intervention. He knew the two were friends, and that they hybrid had just helped Matthias avoid the situation....but it irked him, no less. And he couldn't help but feel that was exactly what Aiden was going for. Alec laughed shortly, spinning around to steer until Matthias decided to return - he wouldn't bother the man. For now. Aiden however, was another issue.

"You really dislike me don't you?"

Aiden glanced over his shoulder, then back out to sea "Whatever would make you say that?" He hummed, his back being turned, one wouldn't notice the glow of those amber eyes, the flame that seemed to ignite them behind those bright irises. They seemed to practically burst, but that was for anyone who could see them, and he'd his back turned to everyone. He practically fed off that annoyance coming off of Alec, and it was most pleasing. Most pleasing indeed.

"Gee I don't know..." Alec said, completely mocking the false thoughtfulness behind the statement. He himself didn't particularly hate Aiden. But there was just something about him at the moment...something the Nephillim could exploit. The anger. Maybe he'd sprout more than a tail, that would be interesting. He carried on, eager to get a reaction out of the hybrid. "Maybe it was the fact that I shot an arrow into your wannabe boy toy's neck...who by the way, happens to be my father if you haven't noticed. I had a right," he snapped, scowling at Aiden's back. He left the wheel and teetered nearer to the edge of the ship, prodding at Aiden with his foot. "Are you listening to me, half - blood?"

Aiden laughed, it wasn't a normal laugh, it wasn't his laugh. He stood, neatly, he stood full height which while it wasn't that tall, it was obvious something was off. He was standing like...Like a general, actually "Boy toy. Is that what you'd like to call him? By all means, I won't object, but maybe if you'd get your facts straight then we wouldn't have such a problem. We're stranded at sea, with no one to call to, and if you think two arch-angels scare me then you're wrong. Don't think giving up my life to take your's wouldn't be worth it, Alec. Be careful who you taunt, because they're not always there." The demon's eyes flashed before he stepped off and walked over to Matthias, tugging the man down to whisper in his ear "Get your little friend in check or I will." He muttered, Matthias stared at him as he walked off, isolating himself at the farthest end of the boat. Well that was...Weird. Aiden didn't seem like, well, Aiden.

Alec was fuming. Almost literally. After that little exchange, his runes had started to burn again, distracting him so much that he overlooked the flashing eyes of the source of his anger. "I would really really not mind killing him," he muttered to himself, clenching both his fists and teeth as he shook in rage as the white scars flickered. He had half a mind to go below deck and retrieve his bow, and he was going to do it too, until he realized that his father and his uncle would be less than pleased.

Aiden sat at the end of the boat, well, technically at the front. He'd set himself on the edge of the boat, if he was tipped even slightly he could fall over but anything would be better than being confined to this god forsaken ship. He did feel victorious, however, that Alec hadn't come after him. He felt like he had all but won that battle. He could feel the anger that he'd caused Alec, even over his own enraged feelings, and he fed off those too. From annoyance to anger, and Alec had no idea what he was fueling. It would only end badly for them all, in the end.

Gabriel was heading back up, in a fairly happy mood when the wall of loathing hit him, and he saw Alec coming to him, looking quite...murderous. Probably had something to do with Aiden. The angel was beginning to doubt if the two would ever gat along, as they were fighting like...well....

He sighed, thinking of the brother he'd just left. Apparently, karma had a funny way of making him repeat things. Alec stormed past him, and Gabriel went to look for Aiden, to try and plead for him to not let the angst-y teen get to him. He crossed the boat, noticing Matthias's puzzled expression but saying nothing, before he trod lightly up behind Aiden, laying a hand on his shoulder to make himself known.

Aiden's head snapped up, the vicious look still in his eyes, luckily for the angel he didn't act on it and instead adverted his eyes back to sea. It didn't matter what the angel was going to say it wouldn't much matter. He'd have his fill of satisfaction by the end of this mission so help him god...Quite off coming from a demon but what was the difference. Matthias tensed, seeing Gabriel touch Aiden, he was almost sure that Aiden wouldn't snatched his hand off him and throw him overboard, with no remorse no less...Luckily the demon seemed to just ignore the angel if anything, but what else was new, he'd been doing it all day.

"Are you alright?" Gabriel asked, diverting from his former plan upon noticing just how much of the negative emotion Aiden seemed to be emanating from the very fiber of his being. it was strange to be getting this...coldness from Aiden. If anything at all, the hybrid wasn't cold, in any way shape or form. Even in arguments , there was nothing that even came close to the slightly chilling feeling Gabriel couldn't help but feel when he'd touched the man, who'd suddenly become like stone. He didn't remove his hand, instead using it to brush away a tray lock of the raven colored hair. "He didn't upset you that much did he? I mean, I know how he can be but..." He looked at Aiden again as another possibility came to mind. "Did Lucifer mind ambush you again? If he did, I swear I'll go after him in the same damn way. Granted, I haven't practiced in years but I can still wreak a fair amount of havoc..."

"I'm quite alright." Aiden said, tilting his head away when he felt his hair being brushed to the side. It was about the only normal thing he'd done all day. The angel's touch seemed to burn against his skin- seemed their roles had changed. From once where Aiden was a burning being himself he was now, as noticed, like the chill of Winter itself- and while the angel wasn't anywhere near burning in body temperature, the slightest of touches seemed to scorch Aiden's skin...Though it left no marks to indicate so. The demon was not used to this, having not been touched by anything from the fourth level in...Well...He'd never been touched by an angel, fallen or not, ever. Having it happen in Aiden's body was much worse, he would have to apologize to Aiden for ruining his skin when he switched back to the hybrid...Who was probably already wanting back in control of his body but...The demon wasn't ready to give that up. Not yet. He hadn't observed everyone yet.

Michael hissed as he accidentally rolled over again, letting his back touch the bed painfully. He'd stripped his shirt so that the searing hot flashes would be less scorching. The plague that he'd thought he'd been rid of centuries ago had side affects...and these burning pains in the scars in his back came and went, making him feel like he had a 300 degree fever when they were present. He'd convinced Gabriel he was fine so his brother wouldn't have to see him this way, wouldn't have to see Lucifer's personal parting gift for Michael's 'betrayal', which nearly had him screaming like a little boy. He flipped completely over, lying on his stomach as he bit into his own arm, ignoring the taste of blood in hos mouth, trying to keep from howling in pain while his wing scars burned for all they were worth. Not a day did he live without experiencing the horror, and not a day did he forget.

---

"Quite alright? Is our proper speak rubbing off on you, Aiden?" Gabriel smiled, hoping his obviously feeble attempt of a joke would lighten the man up a bit, though he moved his hand to the railing when Aiden shied away from his touch. "Are you really though...I don't mean to intrude upon your emotions - I honestly can't help it - but you're positively radiating hate. It's just not like you."

"What more would you expect from a demon like I? It's only natural of course. I'm fine, I swear." Aiden said, not taking even a glance up at Gabriel. He still hadn't gotten all that he wanted, but, if it was going to cause so much trouble he might...No, he should consider giving Aiden the time of day back. It might relive his friends of suspicious but really...Shouldn't they know? The demon had been with Aiden for years now, and not once did he mention his past, that past he could remember. Not once, not a single moment in time, did anyone ask. They didn't deserve to know, he guessed, but that wasn't Aiden's reason. He didn't want anyone to know. It took him a while to realize just who he was sharing a body with, and when he did- the demon couldn't tell if it was hate or an ashamed feeling...Or maybe the slightest feeling of power. He didn't know.

Not realizing how literally the words that had come out of Aiden's mouth were used, Gabriel took it to mean something entirely different. He frowned, and leaned with his back to the wood, looking at the other man and shaking his head. "Aiden, I already told you...I don't care what you are alright? It's not your fault you are this way...and the way you are isn't necessarily a bad thing either, I don't think. I just want you to believe me ok? Look at me. Do I have any reason to lie to you...? Have I ever?" His green eyes bore down at the smaller man, hoping he'd look, hoping that if his message didn't some across in the underlining meaning of tho words that it'd show in his expression.

The demon was reluctant at first, but he supposed if he wanted to know just how much he could trust Aiden with these people then he would go along with it. Turning his head, amber eyes still giving off that faint glow, he looked the other straight in the eyes and past that, trying to determine just what was going on in that head of his. Moments past while the demon determined his final decision...No, it wouldn't be his final, it would be his temporary decision. He would never be able to fully trust anyone who had to do with angels, even Lucifer himself, he'd learned that well, but for now this one was...alright "No. I suppose you haven't." He said, turning his head to crack his neck, he might as well give Aiden his body back now- and for now, the demon reverted back into the darkest depths of Aiden's mind.

Gabriel nodded, thinking for a moment in the silence after Aiden had looked away. The other man was changing the archangel...somehow. And through it all, Gabriel had to admit that it was probably for the better. But for now, he was going to go and check on his brother, who he could have sworn was looking a bit feverish by the end of their hour long discussion over the past few week's events. He looked back at the hybrid, letting him know where he was going. "I'll be back alright? Keep Matthias company...I think he was a bit worried about you earlier. Oh, and try not to murder Alec, at least for tie time being," he added over his shoulder, noticing the Nephillim had appeared again over near Matthias, before he himself disappeared below deck.

"Why would I-" But Gabriel was gone...Why would he murder Alec? Why should he murder Alec? The whole day was nothing but a blur, as if it'd gone by all too fast. Aiden blinked a few times, trying to figure out where he'd been and what he'd been doing, but nothing came to mind. He hopped off the railing and started for his friend, who'd been watching the two, seeing Aiden's sudden change in posture and behavior made him feel..Well, worried. But it'd gone back to normal now and that's all he cared for "Feeling better?" Matthias asked, seeing Aiden holding his head, who shook it "No not really. Still feeling like shit, and I can't remember a damn thing." He muttered, leaning into the man's side, his back against Matthias's ribs "We already know you have bad memory." Matthias shrugged "It's getting worse then. My whole day is gone." The hybrid said, still trying to figure out what had happened, really.

The pain.

It was worse now...much worse.

The spells usually went on for ten to twenty minutes at the least, but this one had lasted for a good half hour, and unlike the other times, it didn't seem to be stopping. Because he couldn't heal during this process, the bite marks - which were now assorted up both of his arms - hadn't ceased bleeding in the slightest. currently his teeth were sinking into his left forearm when Gabriel sprinted into the room, smelling the blood and gagging on the metallic odor. "Good God...what is going on-" he'd run to the bed, prying Michael's arm out of his mouth only to have the crazed archangel grab him by the wrist, almost crushing his bones as le looked up with blood dripping from his mouth, completing the most scarily unhinged version of hi brother he'd ever seen. "Don't," Michael gasped, eyes wide with fear. "Don't let me - "

And then his body shut down, unable to cope with the high amount of blood lost, and his mind wandered as his world wen't black.

Fingers tapped impatiently against the stone. One had been taken out of his grasp, to hell if he would let another be. He waited, he was terrible at it, having almost no patience, but he waited, and then finally- he felt it. The darkness shrouding the other's mind, the slowly, oh so slowly, fear creeping up. It would bring him what he needed, what he'd gone to length to get. Cracking into an Archangels mind was a complicated thing that he'd long but mastered over the years. He had to. It was his only way to send 'polite messages' every now and then to his family...Or what once he considered his family. That thought was all but lost now. He straightened up on the throne, or a replica of it that was created out of cracked, burning stone, when the body appeared at his feet. He jumped over it, striding around it, clapping "You resistance, is strong, even now, I'll give you credit for that." The demon looked back on his wingless guest.

'Not strong enough...'

"Lucifer."

Michael knew where he was, and where this was going. Hell was always so...recognizable to him. It was the most terrible pit of despair anyone could ever imagine, and Lucifer's imagination was superiority in terms of how sinister it could be. Michael supposed it fit his brother's tendencies to want to let everyone know who he was, where he was, and just how flashy whatever mass destruction he was planning nest was going to be. Even the smell was distinct - the toxic fumes of the sulfur were invading his nose the moment he'd been dropped there. One good thing he pulled out of this - the burning had stopped, and he could move again. He stood up slowly, almost not wanting to turn around, bur doing so anyway, paired with a steely glare. "Haven't you tortured me enough? The world enough?" he was referring to the mass genocide his brother had committed, ending in the destruction of earth, and the torture of the Legion. Though he wouldn't give the man the satisfaction of his anger. He only fed off of it...

He was, however, unable to keep himself from surveying the man as closely as he did. He hadn't seen Lucifer in a century, besides his own delusions at least. He pocked a spot over the demon's shoulder to stare at, much like a soldier's stance in front of a general, staring straight ahead, only this was an opposite situation.

Lucifer smirked, watching his brother study him, but didn't say anything about it "Oh but that was just the beginning." He said, starting to pace in front of the other "Did you really think it ended there? I've made it so far, why not push it? I do like a good gamble, after all." He said, obvious pride sinking into the air like a pair of fangs. He seemed...Confident. The way he walked, the way he talked, that cocky tone, that smirk, something was up. It was as if he knew all that he'd done was a hundred percent bullet proof and in a way, it was...Unsettling to say the least. But then again, the devil was not a wary man, especially not now "I need someone to go back, seeing as my last subject won't do it for me, to tell everyone just what's coming. Give them a little hint, a nudge, if you will." He said, walking over to Micheal and doing just that. Nudging him. After that he backed up "Surely someone like you could do that for me? Cause a little uproar on your way to save that damsel in distress." His smirk grew wider in size, eyes narrowed like he had everything under control, and at the moment, he did. It was all in the palm of his hand, and he knew it, and to hell if he let anyone stop him.

"Do not touch me."

The moment Lucifer had made physical contact, Michael had stepped away, recoiling in disgust. He did not miss the intended meaning from the reference that was not - so - subtly hidden in between the demon's monologue, and it did manage to further anger him, though when his voice sounded next it was cool, calm and collected although an undeniable challenge to his brother's air of confidence.

"You repulse me. I assumed your drive was against the humans, all those years ago. I never asked you why you do the things you do, but that seemed, at least, to be the most logical reason. And for a while, I could at least understand your motive. But then you slaughtered them, Luci. You...you sucked the life out of an entire planet, inhabited it with a species of unnatural creatures - I was wrong," he said, his eyes now focusing on the other, looking straight at him when he delivered the next words.

"You are a monster. You have always been a monster, and that's all you will ever be. I do not work for Satan," he practically spat out, his dislike for his brother now plainly obvious with the cold deliverance of the sentence.

Lucifer cocked his head "It's either you or that...Disgusting creature...Which would you prefer? Carry a few words or for me to torture our brother further by hurting that to which he cares for so? Don't think that will be the only consequence of refusing my offer. I can make your scars burn, burn that much more than they already do. Make you relive that day again with thrice the pain...Now is all that worth just a sentence or two?" Lucifer cocked his head innocently, as if he hadn't done anything wrong. If Micheal wouldn't do it then he would go after Aiden again, and he would get past that damned demon in his head. The man was stronger than he'd thought, to carry such a demon and still have self control- but it meant nothing to him. The man was half human, and thus he himself was worthless. He looked back at Micheal, curious to see which answer he would go with. Spare Gabriel another painful loss, or throw himself and their brother into another hellish nightmare of a event. It didn't matter, one way or another he would get his message across, and it would shake them to his core or he'd be damned.
