The Wandering Tide

((Just for the hell of it, because you said that, I'm making Zendur the God of the Sea. This doesn't make me impossible to kill.))

Zendur kept up his barrage of attacks, and then noticed S.J. running up (his head is above the water). He swung a forth tentacle out of the water and following it was a massive blast of water aimed directly at S.J. The Kraken, after the water impacted, swung his tentacle down at S.J and hoped it would hit. Zendur roared and a giant crab climber onto the mast. It had hard shell armor, and started going after S.J.

"This is my friend, or, if you kill him, my friends named Deathclamp. Have fun!" the Kraken said in a powerful voice. He called upon more Deathclamp's to be ready if the first one was taken down. Zendur swung another tentacle at S.J.

She had two problems. His tentacles and the army of Deathclamps that would come aboard soon. It would be very entertaining. Zendur's real intention was to just toy with the ship and it's crew.

((hey um...i really think this is starting to get god-rping, literally being the god of the sea and all...like, its getting on my nerves,))

((HOW DOES IT AFFECT ANYTHING? I JUST SAID IT DIDN'T EFFECT MY CHARACTER'S POWER. SO WHAT IF I CAN CALL UPON CREATURES? I made them really weak. You are getting on my nerves. I bet, if i hadn't said anything about the god of sea stuff, you wouldn't have said anything. Even though I said it didn't effect ANYTHING, you still have to complain. Come on!))

(please calm down, its not just that, its just most of what youre doing, like calling upon armies of things to do whatever and such, in my years of Rp, youre no where near as bad as what ive dealt with, but youre definitely starting to push some limits)

(then you should make sure to point that out, and as well you should let yourself get hurt sometimes, you may be a giant kracken and i know that, but not being hurt is the definition of godmodding, i may have skipped over it or something but please dont be so invincible)

((I know, S.J. has the right idea. Only extremely heavy things like cannon balls and the heavy arrows that S.J. has are ale to cause damage. But the characters don't know that))

Hmm we'll both of you have a point but remember think of the kraken as hulk or go back to pirates of the Caribbean ... It took a while to kill that thing

Code saw the wave of water coming and managed to cover his head and stay on the boat while it passed, but when he got up he was still very disoriented and as a tentacle shot at him at a very fast speed. He lifted his sword with the blade up and down, not meaning to cut the Kraken but just to protect his face. Still, the tentacle hit him with such force that Code went tumbling backwards and slammed into the door of the captain's cabin. He turned to see S.J. firing a few shots into the ocean. Maybe we're not hitting it in the right place... Or with the right kind of attacks. Swords don't work on it, guns don't, it seems like arrows wouldn't. Code saw Lynne rise unsteadily from the mainmast and swing her sword at the Kraken, then see the Deathclamp and bring the handle of her sword down hard on where she believed its armored head to be.

" AIME FOR IT's EYE AS SOON AS THE MOUTH PPENS FIRE CANNONS" Erin was rushing to position the few canons they did have toward the kraken. Francis behind her making sure the ropes the held down the canon'a were secure. She had to jump endless tentacles to retrieve the canon balls that were in the corner . She had wiped the ball of and places it into the canon. Drying the string to me it fire she ignited a match. Burning the stick she places it against the string. Dropping the stick and covering her ears. The canon ball went flying for the kraken's eye.

Samia jumped when the tentacle crashed against the deck causing the boards to creak and groan under the weight of the massive beast. She flashed a worried look at Tau before turning to run back up the stairs and out onto the deck. When her eyes first spotted the giant creature it was like her world slowed down to nearly a halt. Everyone and everything moved in slow motion. The crew members either hiding or trying to fight, or the spray of water and and splinters as a barrel was smashed against the deck. The captain was covered in blood, but it didn't seem to be his but that of a shark's that lay dead on deck.

When a giant wave of water washed on deck and swept her all the way to the railing things seemed to return to their normal state and she was able to react. She reached in her coat and put her hand on the hilt of her sword just as she heard an order to man the cannons against the giant. Gritting her teeth she left her sword in the sheath and ran to help with the cannon balls. After jumping over a tentacle she removed her coat and rolled a few balls onto it and gathered the edges like a sack to carry them to the cannons.

Samia jumped again when the first cannon went off as she dropped the make shift sack of cannon balls by one of the cannons.

xxxxxFinn was on the deck, moving things around, making places more accessible, and organizing things here and there. He didn't feel very useful, and decided on talking with the captain later on what his official position would be. He had just pushed a barrel over to the side of the boat, when the waves suddenly grew, crashing over the walls of the boat. He cursed under his breath, and threw a heavy roll of rope beside the barrel. Wind picked up, and at any moment, their ship could be caught in it, and they would be carried off to some unknown place if they didn't pull the sails up quickly. There were already people pulling up some of the sails, and all that was left was one sail on the mizzenmast. It was hard enough to even stand let alone climb, but it was needed.

xxxxxFinn climbed up and began rolling the sail up, his hands working quickly and frantically. Luckily, he had just finished tying it up before the tentacle came crashing down. Well, not exactly lucky, but at least he'd gotten the sail up. As a result, he lost his balance and fell down. Immediately, his brain began whirring, finding ways to save him from the fall. His only option was to... Finn reached out and grabbed a rope, hanging from one of the sails. The momentum from his fall caused his hand to slide downwards, but he slowed down. His hand burned, and turned red, but it was better than turning into a human pancake. He landed safely on the ground, wringing out his hands and blowing on them. "Ah... that hurt..." He muttered, just before another tentacle came crashing down beside him.

xxxxxMeanwhile, Annabeth was below deck, analyzing the maps and using the different tools provided to find the best possible places in which they could find their paradise. Obviously, it wouldn't be recorded on a map, and would be somewhere no one has traveled. She scrutinized each map, slowly creating one of her own. She started with drawing out the area, and recording the different places other expeditions had sailed to. If the island had not been found, it'd be in a place no man has sailed. She marked X's, in places where she was sure people had been to, and soon, she reached a conclusion.

xxxxxWith a smile on her face, Annabeth folded up her map and shoved it in her pockets. "Hehe, wait till the captain sees thi-" She wasn't able to finish her sentence when a giant, inhumane tentacle came barreling in, blindly swinging around, hitting Annabeth in the process. It wrapped around a nearby barrel and pulled itself back out. A string of profanities came out of her mouth as she clutched her side. It stung horribly and it hurt to move. "What the hell is that thing?!" She exclaimed, using the wall as support in an attempt to stand up.

xxxxxShe balanced herself on her feet, but she couldn't stand up for long. Just a second later, she collapsed back onto the ground. The hit from the tentacle had to have done something to her ribs, and the broken debris had cut through her flesh. She was loosing blood, and was in so much pain, she couldn't even scream. Slowly, her surroundings became blurry, and soon enough, everything was black.

(( Nuu, woman down, woman down!! ><;; ))

(( TLDR:// Basically, Finn tied up the sail on the mizzen mast, and burned his hands badly trying to save himself from falling to his death. Annabeth found a place on the sea that is estimated to be a somewhat accurate estimate of where the "paradise" might be, but before she could go anywhere, the tentacle that came inside the boat, hit her and fractured one of her ribs. Also, some of the broken wood cut through her skin, and she became unconscious due to the loss of blood. So yay! ))

(( I wasn't sure where his head was. So it would be nice of you to allow an arrow to stab him or something. LOL I mean we are human but we need some sort of chance here. Thanks love dear))

S.J would be knocked down by the wall of water that hit her. She'd close her eyes and pull her arms tight against her chest until she stopped moving. As she opened them she'd see a tentacle coming for her and she'd push off the side of the ship to move out of the way quickly. Once she landed against the wood she'd shake her head slowly, pirating was so hard. Her oceanic eyes would come across Finn and she'd lift herself up quickly to get to him. Slipping half the way she would pull a dagger from her right thigh beneath her skirt. She'd hold it out and face the death clamps shakily. "Finn are you alright?" she would as loudly as she straddled to look among the swarm of large crab things. Her long blonde hair would stick against her bare pale stomach as she readied herself for a fight. S.J. was almost worn out, the arrows hadn't worked, the kraken hated her now! What was she to do. "I think it's best to take cover, I'm just not sure where" she would say to Finn behind her "nothing I do seems to help" the girl would sigh loudly and try to contain her heartbeat.

Zendur watched as they moved the cannon to point at him. For some reason, he was too slow to react and the cannon ball his him square in the eye. He felt that it was still there, it just hurt too much to actually use. A thundering roar blasted out ot the boat, making it rock a bit. The Kraken raised his tentacles, and a giant waves about 12 METERS tall crashed onto the ship.

Then all of a sudden, the ship crashed into something. It wasn't a wave, and they weren't in deep ocean. How did they crash into an island. Anyhow, the impact was so great Zendur flew from the water and onto the sand. Somehow it lifted him, 56 tons, effortlessly. Zendur lay helpless on the sand as his body slowly changed into his human form...

((RESTART FROM HERE in case you missed the stuff on the ooc thread c:))

Code glanced quickly at every crew member and, satisfied that they could get the ship under way, walked to helm. He took hold of the wheel and looked toward the horizon. I wonder where this paradise is... If anyone knows about it or has a map or anything, they'll be on the ocean searching. If we can find another pirate ship or a ship searching in the name of the the Queen, or for Rome, or for Narnia, maybe they'll have information on this place. Code squinted his eyes and searched the expanse of the ocean before him for any sign of a ship. He turned from the helm and called over the wind and waves, "Anyone see a ship out on the ocean?" By now the Wandering Tide was picking up a good speed, and was pretty far from the dock and from the small town, and the shouts of people whose food and supplies had been stolen were out of hearing range.

((the ship is pretty good so we don't need to do any more technical rope-tying/untying and stuff for now))

Asane had been walking around the kitchen

"Having a bit of deja-vu, oh well"

She went around cleaning more of the kitchen and such, putting the food in their respectable places, uncooked foods that can be eaten into a public pantry for people to reach.

"Anyways, my job here's done..."

She went back up to the outside of the ship and looked at where they were

"so there's no turning back now...huh?..."

She smiled a bit, she was happy with her decision. Also, noticing the captain was busy with the wheel, she entered the captains quarters and looked around again.

"his room is still quite cozy..."

She once again slipped into his bed and was hidden under its large captain-ly covers.

(I'm going to be lazy and just copy paste my post since I would probably just post something extremely similar)

Behind the rocks hugging the shoreline peaked a face with bright sea colored eyes, white hair almost glimmering in the sun. "Humans are such peculiar creatures..." Severine thought aloud to herself quietly before she giggled, watching each person go from the ships deck, readying to set sail. She had been scoping out the dock for any valuables within reasonable reach when she had heard the ruckus of the crew, it had instantly caught her attention. "There are a lot of men on that ship...pirates nonetheless, perhaps they have some treasure they might want to share," she snickered to herself before letting go on the rock and diving into the water, following after the ship at an easy pace so she would not be right behind them.

Tau was still sitting on the barrel in the crew's quarters, rolling the cherry pits over his tongue, tempted to spit them out. So he did, probably spitting them ten feet at the very least. I stored the chain of cherry stems in his cheek, though he wasn't sure why since he knew he'd be throwing it out eventually. It was just something to occupy the time. He wasn't very outgoing really. If someone came belowdecks, sure he might key up a conversation. He didn't see why he had to go out of his way to chat though. Even if these people would probably be around him till the end of his days.

xxxxxFinn was on the deck, moving things around, making places more accessible, and organizing things here and there. He didn't feel very useful, and decided on talking with the captain later on what his official position would be. He picked up a pile of rope and threw it over beside the barrel. "Anyone see a ship or an ocean?" the captain called out. Code, was it? He turned to face the sea, leaning over the side of the boat. He carefully scrutinized the horizon, scanning whatever part of the sea that was visible. "None from here!" He called back, but as he looked in the area somewhat behind the ship, he noticed an unusual splash, like something had jumped off of the rock not too far behind them. Finn stared in that same direction for a while, before shaking his head and returning to his organizing. "Probably just the waves." He said to himself.

xxxxxMeanwhile, Annabeth was below deck, analyzing the maps and using the different tools provided to find the best possible places in which they could find their paradise. She marked X's, in places where she was sure people had been to, and lines on the trails in which ships had traveled.

xxxxxAnnabeth was completely absorbed into her work, measuring distance of sight, and all that brain-working stuff. She was just marking an X, when a cherry seed dropped on top of the map, leaving a purple-ish stain. Her left eye twitched slightly in annoyance, and she stood up. "Sorry, but your spit-up food just turned some of my Pacific Ocean purple." She said, flicking the seed back at the boy.

"Ah, sorry about that," Tau said, sliding off the barrel and stretching his arms over his head with a slight yawn. Once he relaxed his muscles he glanced over at this new girl, blinking the water out of his eyes as he tried to figure out what had her so mesmerized. Approaching her, he crooked his neck to get a better look at the map, nodding very slightly. "Navigator I assume?" he inquired, glancing at the girl. He probably could have guessed from her Pacific Ocean comment but in all honesty, he was sort of exhausted. "What are you marking?" he asked, observing the multitude of X's covering the map. He hoped that they didn't mark all the places they were planning to sail. Those were a few too many places for his liking.

xxxxxAnnabeth waved her hand, as if shooing the minor problem away. "It's fine." she replied. Annabeth turned back to her work, dabbing at the stain with the sleeve of her shirt to get rid of whatever she could. It didn't take long for her to get pulled into her work again, blocking out the rest of the world. She was drawing a line to represent a past ship expedition and lightly shaded what she estimated to be the distance of their line of sight."Navigator I assume?" A voice behind her asked. She jumped a bit, scolding herself for allowing her to be so easily surprised. "Not yet." she replied, lightly shading in another area around an X.

xxxxx"These X's are places where other ships have traveled to." She said, her finger pointing to the small black X's around the map. "The lines are the paths they took to get to the destined area, and the shading is what I guess is what they had in their line of sight." She drew another line from one x to another. "But I didn't take into consideration the time of day it was, so I could be very inaccurate..." Of course, there was no way she could add that to the map. She didn't know whether the sun was up or not in each expedition. It was possible that she could have shaded right over this legendary paradise, but who would know? "What's your position on the ship then?" She asked, in an effort to make conversation. She wasn't one for talking much, but Annabeth figured it might be better to make a friend other than Finn on the ship.
