The Valkyrie

Corrin found a room that was just right for him. No unnecessary decorations just a simple bed.

"Hey Lilith any luck getting access to the Astral plane?"

"Still nothing on my side. Though to be fair this world seems to have an extreme lack of Dragon Veins so in order to get back we would need a HUGE amount of mana just to get back to our world."

"Hey for now we should just go with the flow. I'm pretty sure Azura and the others can manage without us."

Artorias managed to find his way to the mess hall, where he procured some food for him and Sif. Hopefully there would be food enough to support the two, given that together they ate the share of about five regular-sized men.

"We are seeking to combat a cult dear sir Knight." Mirus explained to Artorias, following him into the mess hall "Tyfo!" She shouted "We have a guest, make him something to eat."

Tyfo took several moments to study the giant Knight and his wolf companion before scanning them both

"Hey, they haven't decided whether or not they're crew. That means they don't have to fill out that mountain of paperwork." Mirus explained to Tyfo who quickly made his way back into the kitchen, putting on his "kiss the cook" apron.

Mirus sat next to the giant knight "How tall are you, I mean really?" She asked, curiously "Are you really that tall or is it some kind of mechsuit?"

As Mirus talked with the knight, Harleen and Groot stayed with Crane "I think Sir Crane does have a nice ring to it." She smiled "All you need now is a bit of knight's armour."

"I am Groot?" Groot asked

"Alright." Harleen replied, drawing her mallet as Groot bowed before her. She knighted Groot with her mallet "I now dub thee Sir Groot, the tree Knight. Rise Sir Groot."

Groot stood to his feet with a smile "I am Groot." He added

"He says he'd knight you and me but he's not sure if it'd mean anything because of the way he talks." Harleen shrugged

Seeker followed Corrin into the bedroom he had found "Sorry if it's a bit...Well, boring." She began "All the other bedrooms stared off like this at one point. People just add to them." She shrugged "Mine's a bit of a mess, something Tyfo keeps reminding me about."

@TommyGun15 @ryanpk200 @Baku

Crane thought about Harleen's statement. "I have a sword in backpack, and my buggy could be used in the place of a horse. You're right. All I would need is the armor."

Corrin looked up at seeker.

"Hey it's great nearly like my room back home. Just not high enough to support my dragon form. Other than that it's a bit of a reminder that I got crap taste. I'll probably start decorating it later on. Other than that tell Mirus that I don't want her going in my head while I'm napping. I've got some stuff I don't want you guys to know about me."

At Mirus's question, Artorias removed his helmet to reveal a face with a hawkish nose, piercing blue eyes, and a somewhat pointed chin with a bit of stubble starting to grow. His hair was black and messy, his face pale, like he hadn't removed his helmet in a very long time. Altogether Artorias looked like a man in his late 20's, save for the fact that he was about twice the size of an average human.

"I fear I know not what a Mech Suit is. However, my height is no illusion. In truth, my size is common for Godkin, though admittedly favoring the smaller end of the range."

@Some_Bloke

Seeker: Seeker chuckled in response to Corrin's words "She knows that dreams are kinda off-limits for a lot of people, but goddamnit it took us a long time to get her to stop that shite. She only enters dreams with given consent now." Seeker paused and sighed "I dream, but she can't enter my head." She tapped the side of her head "Android and that."

Harleen: "Just paint horse stuff on your buggy and people will think it's a horse. Worked when people painted sharks on planes. Can you imagine anything scarier than a flying shark?" She asked

"I am Groot." Groot suggested

"Jeez, that's a lot worse." Harleen shook her head

Mirus: "Godkin?" Mirus asked, intrigued "What is a Godkin?"

@TommyGun15 @Baku @ryanpk200

Corrin looked down noticing the Dragonstone was glowing.

"Huh that's weird never saw it glow before unless I was transforming. What in the first dragons is causing it to act like this?"

"I apologize, for the length of my explanation. To properly explain the nature of the Godkin will require me to explain the history of my realm."

Artorias sat on the ground, setting his helmet beside him.

"Long ago, the land of Lordran was a place of towering Archtrees, and everlasting Dragons. Nothing was born, and nothing ever died. Then, deep underground, in the Kiln of the First Flame, there was a spark. And with this spark came disparity. Heat and cold. Life and Death. And also Light and Dark. And so from the Dark we came, and in the flames three of us found the souls of lords. Nito, First of the Dead, who stood alone. Izalith the Fire Witch, and her seven Daughters of Chaos. And last came us, Lord Gwyn's Knights of Sunlight. Gwyn was our lord, and his children were the gods. Those that stood with him, like my companions and I, were the Godkin. For centuries we battle the Dragons, and later the forces of The Dark, for although we can be killed, we cannot die."

@Some_Bloke

Seeker: "You tell me, I'm clueless when it comes to dragons." She shrugged "Maybe your transformation is caused by something on this ship?"

Mirus: Mirus listened in closer as Artorias told his story. She was silent for several moments as she processed every word he had said. "Well, that sounds...Horrible." She replied "Where are these dragons now?"

@Baku @TommyGun15

"Seeker I can speak for dragons in my world but who knows how many variations there are across the multiverse. This stone allows me transform into a dragon without the risk of losing my mind in the process. Somethings that's happened before." Corrin shuddered from the memory of that day.

@Some_Bloke

"At one point, my buggy's paint job was the same thing. Maybe next time, I could replace the Shark with a horse. I could probably rig a lance on the side of buggy," suggested Crane "I could shishkebab a line of zombies." He then asked "What did Groot say?"

@Some_Bloke

"Dead. With the powers of the Lord Souls that Gwyn, Nito, and Izalith gained in the First Flame, they slew the dragons. Izalith and her witches weaved great firestorms to burn down the Archtrees that the dragons lived in. Gwyn's bolts of lightning peeled apart their scales and made them vulnerable. Finally Nito weakened them by unleashing death and disease upon them, allowing my fellow knights and I to finish them. However, we would never have known of the dragon's weakness had Seath the Scaless not turned against his brethren. For this Lord Gwyn made Seath a Duke of Anor Londo, and built for him a great library to live in. Though some of his twisted experiments emerge from time to time, Seath has not left The Duke's Archives since."

@Some_Bloke

Seeker: "Well I read about Smaug." Seeker shrugged "Got a mate who's into books so he convinced me to read The Hobbit. Considering the size of the Multiverse pretty sure Smaug's real. You don't seem like Smaug though, he's kind of a prick."

Harleen: "A swarm of flying honey badges." Harleen shook her head "I mean, unless we have Mirus with us we're kinda screwed."

Mirus: "Do you reckon there's any chance of Seath getting out?" Mirus asked with some concern "He sounds like trouble." Mirus sighed "I should probably tell you about this cult. After all, the chances are we're going to be fighting them."

@Baku @TommyGun15 @ryanpk200

"I see no reason Seath would choose to leave his archives now. He is not locked inside, yet has chosen to remain within. Although, when last he appeared in Gwyn's court, his wings had begun to atrophy from disuse, and seemed thin as gossamer. And the crystals he used in his experiments were beginning to engulf his lower body. That was many decades ago by my memory. I fear that if he still lives, he is crippled beyond the ability to leave the Archives under his own power."

Artorias mused on this thought for a moment as Sif began to sniff around the Cargo Hold.

"However, yes. I think it would be most prudent to learn of these Heretics we hunt."

@Some_Bloke

Mirus: "They're targeting a bloke known as Eternity. He's a mutual ally. From what their file said, there isn't much known about them other than they possess supernatural abilities and dwell in dark magic." Mirus opened the file in front of Artorias, showing pictures of various people wearing dark suits and ties with empty, white masquerade masks covering their faces.

"We'll be meeting with Eternity, hopefully that sod can fill us in on more. At the moment, I'm a little clueless." She admitted with some embarrassment.

"I see. So they have made a covenant with The Dark."

Artorias observed one of the two rings he wore This one was a thin golden band with a small sapphire set into it, it's delicacy a sharp contrast to the thick iron band that the other ring was made of, this one bearing a sigil of a wolf.

"Fortunately, I am prepared."

Corrin walked in

"Did I hear dark magic? Because if so that's not good. In my world dragons hate magic of any kind. It's one of the only things that can damage them next to Wrymslayers. And yes half dragons like myself count."

The minute Artorias heard "half-dragon" he stood, looking tense. However, he did not make any outwardly aggressive moves.

"Indeed? Lord Gwyn learned of a similar weakness in the ancient dragons. Tis one of the enchantment upon my blade."

@Some_Bloke @Baku

"She's friendly." Mirus reassured Artorias with a nervous smile. The last thing she wanted was the giant knight and the fish-dragon blowing holes in her ship while in orbit "I get that in your experience dragons can be kinda dicks but this one's on our side."

"Ladies, gentlemen and Groot. We're being hailed by another ship claiming to be with Eternity. Everyone prep for boarding, cross your fingers, toes and branches that this isn't space pirates. Well, at least space pirates weren't not allied with."

Harleen poked Crane in the arm "Straighten up Sir Crane and act like a knight. We have guests. I hope."

"I am Groot?" Groot asked

"What I mean is I hope they aren't space pirates...Or Lobo."

Groot nodded understandingly and stood up straight as the ship was boarded, not by Eternity but by five robots. Each one wore the face of a young woman but was completely gold with their bodies covered in metallic body armour. On the chest of each robot was a large capitalized and bold letter E.

"Where are the Captains?" One of the robots asked in a computerised voice

"Well, that's new." Cortana muttered

"Cortana." One of the robots turned to the AI "I am sorry about John."

"How did you know?" She asked defensively, folding her arms

"Eternity has a message for the Captains." The robot replied, dodging Cortana's question "He is currently hidden from the cult targeting him."

Mirus stepped into view "Play nice." She told Artorias and Lilith as she walked into the middle of the ship.

"I'm one of the Captains, yes." She introduced herself with a grin "Where's Eternity?"

"As I said, in hiding."

"No." Mirus shook her head sternly "That's not how I do business, not anymore."

"You were going to attempt to read his mind in order to learn if you could trust him?" One of the robots asked, tilting it's head to the side

@Baku @TommyGun15 @ryanpk200

"I em...I haven't exactly been keeping count." She shrugged nervously

"Really?" Harleen asked, surprised "I'd have a mind-reading diary. October 1st, read the mind of a one Samuel Phillips. He was thinking about Skeletor's abbs."

@Baku

"You know where I'm from my people would consider this a trap. In hiding or in the open both leaders of the parties must meet in a neutral ground. No messages no excuses. Though I'm not sure how things here work. But I must advise caution Mirus, something doesn't seem right to me."
