One x One The Vacation

Oookay! I had fun with this post. I love having other characters interact with our principle characters. You are of course totally welcome to "control" the friends however you like and make up details for them, too. Like, we don't know what Caleb or Daniel really look like yet. And we don't know if anything is going on romantically with Daniel or Becks (not necessarily together). So, there are lots of options for you if you feel so inclined to include them. :)

Looks like we've discovered Sam's past (present??) crush! And Caleb is starting to amp up his game with Adelais. Things are happening! I hope you're okay with the direction I've initiated with these guys. I'd love for you to feel comfortable taking the reigns and adding your own ideas and details to what I've laid out. If you need a brainstorming session, you know where to find me!

Also, I've implied that Adelais did indeed go through with her dare and is currently holding the coconut under her clothes. It didn't seem like she was going to back down, but I hope I haven't stolen the opportunity away from you to have her change her mind. Let me know if you'd like me to rewind to open up that option.

Lastly, Becks strikes me as the type to use nicknames or pet names with her friends, and "Del" seemed appropriately casual. Saying Adelais all the time just seemed too formal for some of them.
:)

Okay. On second thought. Let's have a brainstorm session real fast. I am normally not allllllllll that organized, but when it comes to bringing forth details, I like having something with everything. Like if you forgot something about my char, my sheet's here to refer to. I think we should make like....mini sheets for the group of friends. Not come up with everything, just yet, but have a solitary place for what we do have, so far. We can leave stuff blank and just update it as we go. Like you said, we should both come up with characteristics and appearances for the group, but I feel it's going to get confusing trying to remember all of it. And I'll spend forever and a day trying to read through our RP trying to figure out what we have and haven't said. So if we could just take some time to hash out what we do have, maybe get some fieldsets going. Like each friend will have their own fieldset which will just include appearance and characteristics. And whoever posted would just have to copy and paste the additions.

I don't know if any of that was confusing for you. You wouldn't happen to have a kik, or a form of rapid response messaging would you?

No, no, that wasn't confusing at all. It's a good idea to have our details about our other characters organized somewhere for easy reference. Sadly, I have to head out now, and won't be available until tomorrow afternoon. And unfortunately, I do not have an instant messaging platform. Are there any details you need ironed out right away? I can stay on for another ten minutes or so, if need be.

No, no. It's not urgent. Just something that would be helpful as we go forward. Since we haven't gotten too far into details about them, I'm not so concerned about having to pick through our posts to discern what's been established about them and what hasn't. I was mostly just going to reference Caleb's appearance and touch on her relationship with some of the others, maybe. So I'm able to avoid the issue. lol :P But I realized I do have TeamSpeak, as well. I just ask because I'm fine with OOC in threads or PM, but it would honestly make it more efficient to be able to communicate a bit more quickly when we do get to setting it up.

So long as you're set for now! I don't know what TeamSpeak is, unfortunately, but I'm just not comfortable with chat set-ups anyway. Sorry! What sort of setting up do you think we'll need to discuss in depth? Or do you just mean creating the info blurbs for the other characters? Or was that just a general idea for any planning we do for the roleplay? Sorry - super tired and a bit lost. Hope you don't mind, I've got to dash. I'll check in tomorrow!

Just a simple fieldset for each friend that would grow over time. So Friends A-D each have a fieldset. And as we write and include details about the characters, we add them to the character's blurb. I say fieldset because of BBCode. It can just be separated with spaces. I'll put a sample in the Sign-up

The fieldset looks great! Thanks for putting it up! Good thing you made it, too, because now we can both edit the post. It'll be a good resource for both of us when we need to reference the details we've already established. Fun stuff!

Thank you! Sorry that post was kind of long. I thought it would be interesting to have that dynamic between Caleb and Adelais. Like it's obvious there's tension, but no one really knows how deep the rabbit hole goes.

Oh, don't apologize for the length! If you think you needed to say everything you said, then the length is justified. It sounds like the history between Adelais and Caleb is quite complicated. I'm eager to see where it goes.

And sorry for not get back to you sooner. My power went out anf my phone died. I'll hopefully get my response up tonight.

Agh! Sorry for keeping you waiting! I meant to write up my post last night... but I fell asleep. >< I'm unfortunately spending all weekend at work (boo hiss), so I won't be very available. I'll try my best to have my post up by tomorrow though! Thanks for your patience.

Thanks so much for your patience! I'm sorry I didn't get you a post sooner - these past few days were crazy hectic.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy the post. It's sort of long (mostly dialogue). I hope I've given you enough to go on. I've never "passed off" a roleplay in the same fashion as I did in this post, so I apologize if it doesn't really work. Here's a prime example of me moving things along until I hit a spot where I think something interesting might happen. Let me know if I've moved too quickly! I'm happy to reel back my post to where you're content with the end point.
:)

I don't mind long! Gives me plenty to go off of!

I actually decided to move the RP along, a couple of hours. I figured the resort having a welcome night show the guests are invited to attend (at various times and this night they were all able to go because it was open admission) so that would provide a good chance to have the tension from dinner dissipate. If you feel I've gone too far, I have no problem going back as well. And if there's something you want to add about how your character reacts to the rest of dinner or whatever, you're of course free to do so.

I don't mind at all! In fact, I'm glad you're moving things along! This makes it really easy to see where the story is going. No use prattling on in the same scene when we've already said what we needed to say. :)

Also, I think Becks is becoming one of my favorite characters. Tiki tiki fire crotch dance? Girl's cray.
xD

Hey! Sorry for the long wait. I'd like to get you a post today; it's just been difficult to get myself into the writing groove these past couple days. I haven't lost interest (and I hope you haven't either). I've just had other things on my mind. So thanks for your patience!

I definitely know the feeling! But when I get writer's block, it doesn't necessarily help me to sort of ignore it lol because when I sit back down the next day, it's still there. I usually just write anyways. I'll react to the person's previous post, or talk about relationships with other characters, or talk about my character's thoughts thusfar. It seems a bit fluffy, and it is, but our characters have opinions about everything that's happened, and as writers, we typically sort of brush over it (unless it's extremely important) and it never really gets addressed. So I address it when I have writer's block. I may not have any ideas as far as how to move the plot along, yet, but usually once I get myself writing, toward the end of my post, I am back on track. Or not. Either way is fine, not every post has to move the story. Background and personal development is important, as well.

Oh, I'm with you. Ignoring writer's block doesn't do me a lick of good either. I only meant I'd been putting off my post because I hadn't been in the mood to write. With our roleplay, I'm pleasantly surprised that whenever I sit down to write my post, something always comes to mind and I can tweak it very easily to suit the story. Usually, I need to mull things over for a long time before I settle on the right "angle." So, this has been great! These past few days, though, my mind was either too exhausted or too preoccupied to focus enough for me to write something resembling coherence. So, sorry for the wait!

Anywho, I assumed Adelais wouldn't have accepted Vivienne's invitation for the group (minus Becks and Danny) to go on a walk after the performance. It seemed from your previous post that she was hinting that she and Sam do something by themselves, so I went that route. Hope that's okay! But you should still have the space for Adelais to decline Sam's game if she'd rather walk with Viv and Cal. Your call!
:)

I managed to squeeze an alright post out :P

I wasn't sold on which way I wanted her to direct it, but I think it still works. She's the drunkest, between the two of them, so she might be a bit bold, but vague. She's most likely to do something wild, and not be able to explain why she did it very well, right now
xD

I'm enjoying it a lot though! Hope there was enough in my post for you to go off of!

Totally understand. Alcohol makes people do things they can't explain all the time. *ahem* So I'm told. ;)

I haven't read your post yet (I'm actually just about to head out) so if you still want to tinker since you're not completely sure of the direction you took, that'd be fine by me! I appreciate the quick response, but it's more important to me that you write well than fast, so if you need more time to edit, by all means take it. I'm not going anywhere!
:)

But if you're content with what you have, then I shall read it as soon as I get back!
