Fantasy The True Strength of The Warrior

She let out a gentle sigh and shook her head, "You don't owe me anything, I needed you here to help me." She looked up at the dawning sky, "Now... let's go get Artorias."

"The local nurse's house." She nodded as she set out into the chilled morning air, walking down the road to the large wooden home.

They reached the house and Christina knocked gently on the heavy wooden door.

"No... No... That woman answered the door last time..." She remembered the smile that lady had given her, suddenly, out of jealousy, and concern, she slowly opened the front door, as she snuck in. She walked near the bedroom where she could hear noises and she turned the corner quickly, "Artor-" She stopped flat in her sentence as she had walked in on Claire and himself doing something that nearly almost brought her to her knees. She just swallowed a deep lump in her throat after Claire had shrieked, and quickly ran out of the house. She grabbed Issac's arm on the way out, "Come on Issac... We have to go...!"

She kept a firm hand around him as she dragged him along, silently wiping tears from her eyelids. She did have feelings for him, she thought he knew that, but she wasn't 'woman' enough for him, she carried on sadly, this entirety of events had lowered her self-worth dramatically.

(Yes.)

Christina ignored his remark and kept walking down the road.

She let go of him and turned to face Issac, "I don't want you travelling with me anymore..."

"What's wrong Claire?" Artorias asked, laying down next to her, afraid he might have hurt her. "That blonde bitch came in here!" Claire said, anger evident in her tone. "Oh for the love of..." Artorias sighed, shaking his head, "I knew she was a bitch, but really? Breaking and entering?"

"I... I can't..." She put her hands on her head in pain as she slowly started to lose it, "Stop... following me." She turned around and began to leave, she needed time alone to deal with this and she wasn't sure what she was going to do after her meltdown was over.

She walked off, until she found a distant and plain hill for her to sit on as she unleashed tears into her cloak, a major portion of her life was destroyed, she'd lost it, she wasn't thinking straight and everything hurt. She stared at the massive kingdom of Lord Kerain off in the distance, suddenly, she just gave up and stood to her feet, beginning the long walk towards the capital, or until some soldiers found her weakened on the road and took her there.

Claire had an angry expression on her face, "I can't believe she ever saved your life..." As she billowed in rage she let things slip, "I should have charged her more to let me take care of you for the week!"

Artorias rose an eyebrow, "Charge her more to take care of me?" He stared at the wall, processing the information and turning towards Claire, glared at her, teeth bared "So you're saying she was paying you to take care of me? How funny, I thought you said she left me here for a 'real' woman to take care of me." Artorias stood up, looking down on Claire.

Claire pressed her index fingers together sheepishly, "well... actually... She left you in my care for the weak until you healed and she was going to come get you back today..."

(Take some time to figure it all out.)
